Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

Artorias blushed, yet frowned slightly, something not seeming to add up. "Abandoned? What do you mean by that Claire? I thought Christina brought me here...didn't she?" Artorias started to think back, yet only remembers up to passing out, still unsure how he got here.

"She left you here... saying you were a liability, that she couldn't carry you anymore~ That you needed a real woman to take care of you~" She felt a smile break back out as she began talking about herself, Claire's lips touching Artorias' cheek.

Christina nodded as she drew her knife and made one clean slit in his skin, it was deep and sharp as she did her best to move the tendons and muscle out of the way, trying to remove the bone-fragments.

Artorias blushed, part of him angry, assuming what she was saying was true since he couldn't see any reason why Claire would lie to him, yet part of him felt uneasy, still feeling something was wrong here. "Oh..." He sighed, pulling her close and kissing her on the lip, "may I ask what time is it?"

She dug in with her knife until she'd removed all of the bone fragments, once she was done, she immediately began wrapping up his arm with spare bandages, then, looking at him, delivered painful news. "You won't be able to fight with this arm anymore... That was a serious fracture..."

Claire kissed him back, "it's evening~" She laid him down, "The perfect time to engage in some activity if you're up for it."

She looked at him and shook her head, "Not for several months... that's a drastic amount of bone loss..." She then looked at him with a bit of hope in her eyes, "But I'm sure you'll find something you can do, you're good at that." She broke out into a silly grin.

Artorias blushed, smiling at Claire, softly tickling her, " maybe after something to eat?" He asked hopefully, quite hungry since he hasn't eaten anything.

Claire gazed into his eyes, "Why of course dear~" She immediately climbed out of bed and went to go fix something.

Christina looked at him with strong eyes, "Yes... of course, no problem."

"What do we do now?" he asked "We can't go into town for supplies and if one of the villagers come here we'll be spotted." he said with a sigh he was in no fighting condition if they were spotted by guards he'd only get in the way but he wouldn't admit that no need to add more worry than necessary.

She looked at him, "We need to lay low for a week... it should give Artorias time to recover, we can go collect him then." She looked into the dark room, "But you're right, food may be a problem..." She turned to look at him, who was a indistinguishable male, "You... You can get us food." She brought out a pouch with a hefty amount of gold in it. "Would you mind running daily errands?"

Claire returned with a loaf of bread, a few hunks of porkchop and a tall glass of wine for the soldier who would be staying with her.

"Every two days for the next week, speak to no one... and grab enough food to last us the next few days."

Artorias smiled, sitting up, doing his best not to drool over the delicious looking food, "Thank you Claire, it looks delicious." He smiled, feeling quite comfortable, thinking how this might not be so bad after all. Silently joking, "maybe I should get injure more often."

Christina laid him down gently as she took off her cloak and laid it over him, walking to a corner of the room and curling up as she soon fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Claire sat, watching him eat as she smiled a friendly smile, little did Artorias know he was being deceived only because Claire knew who the White Strider was and she intended to never let the poor Knight in front of her have to deal with her again.

She nodded as she soon found herself peering off into a deep, dark sleep. A gruesome nightmare that would haunt her all night long of the scene of her death, only, the people, would have no face, just a black void of emptiness.

Artorias smiled softly as he finished, stretching slightly, blinking a few times before leaning back, quite content with life as it was right now.

(So, is this all my part of the story is right now? Having intercourse with Claire the nurse I hardly know, and eating her food? )

Claire still climbed in next to him, and as the moon rose that evening, a horrid turn of events were to occur within just seven days time.

(TimeSkip!)

A week had passed and Christina and Issac had survived off of the food, Christina had been training the seven days to keep herself in shape and waiting for Issac to recover. He had begun to have re-occurring nightmares and Christina would continue to console him whenever the problems arose, the who while long, Christina never stopped thinking about Artorias, she simply couldn't dismiss him from her thoughts.

However, Claire had gotten very close with Artorias, so much in fact that she had stolen his heart, forcing him to hate the White Strider with terrible stories regarding Christina, some were true, others, weren't. Regardless, The Knight had an entertaining week and was able to pass time quickly with Claire by his side.

As the sun rose on that morn, Christina emerged from the abandoned home that had housed them for so long, turning to look at Issac, "Coming?"

"I'm coming." Isaac said he was feeling better he had survived the week and his arm didn't stop him from helping so he felt good and caught up to Christina and said "Thanks for taking care of me I owe you." he said
