Fantasy The Tenants and Caretakers of Wyllt Aurelianus

Doc Taylor

Doctor of Some Sort
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls this is where we will be putting characters for Wyllt. I'll start off, feel free to model character creation after mine, even though I'm sure you're all pros at this.

Name: Danill Grimm

Age: N/A

Description/Bio: Danill has been living in the United States for some twenty years now. Where he is from is currently unknown, but back there he was the town's undertaker. He has been performing magic for quite some time now, and has seen this new generation of magic users raised up. He tries to help in any way he can when it comes to others developing their skills. He is an older man with snowy white hair, and a tightly trimmed beard. He has quit his duties as grave digger and now serves as the city's mortician.

Abilities: Danill can phase through any object. To channel this magic he uses a key that he wears around his neck.

When it comes to personality and stuff like that, let's work that out in the Rp. Use your writing to develop your characters, show don't tell.

I'll go next.
Name: Ayleth Spruce
Age: 32
Description: Ayleth was born and raised in Maine, USA. Though, she doesn't like to tell much about her growing up, she will admit to being a world-wise lady. She has traveled much, mostly in Europe. She did study to be a teacher at one point in her life, but for reasons known only to her for now, she has decided to be a free-spirit. Traveling where the wind takes her, and staying places only when she feels her presence is required. She is a spry young lady, with warm caramel skin, and light, jade green eyes. Under her right eye, is a small, faint scar. She keeps her sandy blonde hair at shoulder length, and it curls just slightly on its own accord. Around her neck, she wears a crude silver cross on a simple chain. In the center of the cross, is a single, gray pebble, with an engraving upon it's surface.

Ability: Summoning
Magic Item: A pebble from stone hedge, engraved with a mystic symbol, enabling the carried to summon spirits of the Druids, dead or living, which she keeps in the center of her necklace.

Name: Grayson Marlow

Age: 23

Description: A bit of a free spirit at heart, Grayson grew up in an out of the way town in Illinois, but more or less as soon as he was able to be mobile on his own he was traveling; first within just his home state, then farther afield as he grew older. At a loss of what to do in college he got a degree in accounting, but managed to land a job in which he would be traveling. However, a mishap with bus tickets after yet another car rental fell through, he found himself stuck in a small town with nowhere to stay. He only learned to expect the mishaps, though; when people tend to not acknowledge your existence very easily, it tends to be difficult for them to remember to enter the right name into the system. A lot of people also tend to be confused on wether he’s a man or a woman. Those people annoy Grayson to no end.

He is a short, and fairly feminine looking young man, so the confusion makes a certain amount of sense.

Ability: He can turn incorporeal, particularly as an effect of a startling situation. He also has a general aura of unnoticableness that tends to be constantly in effect, causing him to be easily overlooked and forgotten about, especially in a crowd.

Grayson does not (yet?) have a magic item.

((let me know if there's anything that needs fixing or changing))

Name: Carson Douglas Eddings

Age:36

Description: Before you stands a rugged looking, white haired man, roughly 6 feet high. He wears a flannel shirt and worn jeans with leather pads on the knees. He's a working man, hands callused a hundred time over from long days in the earth and dirt. A pick and shovel are strapped to his back, along with a bag and a weathered guitar. His eyes, normally covered by his hat, are hard but not cold. Born to a pair of dreamers, Carson's parents made the long journey west from their home in Connecticut, to find prosperity and a new life on the frontier. In Deadwood, South Dakota, during the gold rush of Black Hills,  Carson found work mining gold for a private contractor, and worked for 4 years trying to make a suitable living for himself, when he found a cave long sealed off by time and rock. Inside he found ore that seemed stronger than anything he'd seen before and a small statue. After struggle and opposition forced him out of the area, he left and became a wanderer, following a feeling in his gut from his now half of a statue. This feeling has led him many places, and now it has led him to the doors of Wyllt. He's gruff and can give looks that make your skin crawl, but generally he's perfectly fine, most people just thinking he wants to strangle them. He plays guitar, reads dime novels, and draws to pass the time. He's seen a lot of strange things in his time of nomadic movement, so it helps that he's a strange guy.

Ability: a "radar sense" of the supernatural and danger that's channeled through the statue, as well as increased strength and durability to carry his equipment. His equipment is made of a bizarre black ore with purple veins running through out it. It emanates a low light, is incredibly dense and he has yet to find anything that dulls them.

Name: Sesler'ther (Last names aren't included in his race; I shorten it to Sesler.)

Race: Trini-Mortal

The Trini, or Ancients by most, are a humanoid race based on the belief that intelligence is dominant. They hold rational and logical outcomes over emotions, and see themselves as one large unit rather than a tribe of families. Trini youth age rapidly from birth, as their brain needs more room to expand. By the end of their twelfth  year, they will appear to be teenagers or young adults. From there, their cell death is extremely slow, allowing them to live much longer than a normal human, hence the term Ancients. Most Trini are very tall and gangly, as their limbs are extremely long.

The brain is a much more complex set of nerves that produce residual energy and are capable of amazing memory. After the twelfth year, the brain begins to stop growing outward, and form the nerve networking that allows for faster and deeper thinking. The nerves never stop growing, and the brain will eventually grow down the spine, giving the hundred-old Ancients an iconic lump behind the skull and down the back.

Full-Blood Trini are nearly devoid of basic human emotion, driven only by the need to document all that is possible. They are a small race, for their breeding program is made only to create those ideal for their line of work. The Trini are universal scholars, their advanced and deep memory acting as encyclopedias for the wayward explorer.

(However, this matters not as the Trini do not exist in the planes that Wylit resides. Nor are they extraterrestrial. Sesler'ther has a pretty thick past to him and I'd like to keep some of this stuff for later.)

Age: 124

Abilities: The dominant Trini genes in Sesler give him an advanced memory and extreme height. The most defining attribute, however, is the gifted intelligence. This makes him prone to quick problem solving and scarce forgetfulness. His intricate brain allows him to telepathically communicate between individuals in private channels or in groups, in a two-way system. This stems from the full blooded Trini ways of deciphering the thoughts of those that lack mental resistance.

It should be mentioned that Sesler lacks any form of magic. No ability to detect or manipulate magical energies without the help of an object designed for that purpose. A body as intelligent ad his mind, Sesler'ther can potentially manage in low air conditions for hours, his body reaching a point of near hibernation in extreme moments.

He is not without flaw, however. The Trini-mortal hybrid is an experiment by his people, the combination a step forward in the race's advancement. The dominance of the Trini genetics is bothered by phases of mortal emotions, the feelings unnatural and therefore not understood by Sesler'ther. These fits can cause distraction and physical pain to his brain for moments. Perhaps never externally shown, Sesler is confused and unaware of his purpose in life, leaving his people and their pursuit of eminent knowledge. The Trini is a vagabond, having no perception of good and evil, right or wrong.

(Found this picture after typing up a physical description like an idiot, but it is almost exactly what I wanted. Artist is Peter Mohrbacher on deviantart; SO LITTLE JPG)

Description: Standing at a skinny 6'7", Sesler has a pale complexion and sharp facial features. With no excess fat on his body, Sesler is composed of a good deal of toned muscle and sinew. His eyes lack irises and are deeply set into the sockets. He has a thick and black head of hair that hardly passes his forehead and ends at the base of his skull. A small lump is present under where the head meets the neck, a remnant of constant brain growth. Light stubble marks his lower mandible. Although he is aged, he physically appears to be just over a young adult by mortal standards. His right forearm, from elbow to wrist, is laced with pure black curves and archs. They appear to be tattoos, never ending swirls with no definite start and end. Pockets of skin are between each line, as the curves are thinly made. They are not natural, evident by his clean left forearm. From above his left eye to the jawline is a crooked and thick white line of a scar.

Sesler'ther has an unsettling habit of strong and direct eye contact. As a constant and unpersonable observer of the world around him, he is prone to thoroughly digest each and every detail of an individual, even those he knows deeply.
