Fantasy The Shifting Salamander (Always Open, Walk-In Walk-Out Tavern)

Dr.Nekoshu

Confuse. Improvise. Overcome.
( RP Rules and Info: The Shifting Salamander (Rules, and Info))
RP Staff CS: The Shifting Salamander (Staff CS) )

The Shifting Salamander Tavern had been created and opened for merely a minute and an argument had already broken out within its confines between two of the tavern's own employees, a man by the name of Daniel Shizuko and a being of human female appearance known as Zephyra Ashen. "I swear by whatever gods you fear Zeph, if you attempt to manipulate or make a deal with me one more time, there won't be anything left of your form save a scorch mark on this damned floor." Spoke Daniel in a slightly raised and angered tone as he narrowed his eyes at the Demoness he was forced to work with, the damned wretch had attempted to manipulate him into making a soul-selling deal, the nerve.

Zephyra gave a soft giggle and tilted her head to the side as she returned a mocking look back towards this "Last Shizuko", and crossing her arms beneath her chest she smirked, it was rather enjoyable to toy with him. "Come now Daniel, why would you ever think I'd try to do such a thing? I'm not so evil that'd I'd deprive myself of my favorite toy~" She purred the last part much like the cat who caught the mouse would after she had finished toying with him, Daniel looked absolutely fuming now.

Daniel began to glare and clench his fists as Zephyra kept her smug look about her, these two kept going at one another like brother and sister, this made the one who brought them together rather happy, sure they were ready to tear one another's throats out every other occasion, but that just put a smile on the face of Edan Wrenbout... It meant they were becoming something near to a proper family. But he decided to intervene before they began destroying the tavern, and so looking up from the last mug he had to clean from the bar, he began to speak softly, the two looking to him instantly. "Daniel, Zephyra, even though it is fun to see you two test one another on occasion, please, we just opened the tavern, do you really want to undo all the work that went into this? Or even worse, make me do so?" They both paused and calmed down with a few moments, Edan shaking his head and Zephyra mumbling a soft "No...", he smiled at them and nodded. "Good. Now do please finish cleaning off the tables and chairs, we're likely to have visitors any minute." The two nodded and set about finishing the task as Edan himself finished putting the mug back where it belonged alongside the rest under the bar, and he looked around the building, it was all done... Time to see all that would walk through that door.

at that moment was when a certain faimliar male decided to come downstairs from his own confines stepping slowly with his hand on the wooden rail. It was none other than jasper vastavitche, the tavern's entertainer. He was a slender feminine beauty of a man with berry colored hair and emerald green eyes that had a special type of voice that could change and got nicknamed honey lips by all the guys who liked him.
He exhaled softly closing his eyes as he made his way down stopping at the bottom as his emerald green gaze moved over to the two whom which been bickering. "Oh my my,at it again already? Why can't you two get along?" he asked in his usual soft, melodic voice as he approached the bar and moved sitting on the counter crossing his leg over the other looking at Edan with a playful smirk. Jasper's slender form was dressed in a light color with a floral butterfly patterned kimono as his wings were delicately folded on his backside and his tail curled by his ankle as his gaze was now on the shifter man with those green eyes. " also, hello to you Edan, darling. What do you think? Do you like what you see?" He asked softly running a hand under his hair flipping it with a giggle.

The first thing she noticed was the smell. The tavern stank of dark tap beer, the sticky tack of spilled liquor, and greasy fried foods. But there was something else, too - a fresh breeze, sparkling with newness, that pulsed underneath the aromas. As if those aromas had been purposely put there for atmosphere. Piscín squinted into the dining area of the bar as the door swung shut behind her, taking a moment to withdraw into herself and really feel the air in this place. This was no ordinary tavern, she sensed, her fingers prickling as she mentally turned over the vibrations in the atmosphere, running her mind over the intricately interwoven threads that connected a variety of realms to this... pocket.

Piscín felt herself becoming tired and overwhelmed, and she snapped back to reality. There was deep magic at work here, but it was - frankly - above her paygrade and her skill level. Besides, a tavern is a tavern, and she was parched.

To others in the bar, Piscín was very clearly some species of elf. Her skin was fair and blue-tinted, and she had a thick mane of stark-white hair, with blunt bangs skimming her eyebrows and framing her face. The girl herself was of a willowy and seemingly delicate build, short for an elf and narrow-hipped, but the long hooded traveling coat and gloves she wore concealed rough hands and a frame well-muscled and scarred from years of fighting. Out from under the long skirt of her coat, one could see the jeweled hilt of an heirloom sword at her hip.

Inside the travern, Piscín could see only four others, though she was unsure which of them were staff or guests. The elf sauntered over to them, pushing off her hood and arranging her mouth into an amiable smile. Hopefully, she thought to herself, at least one of these individuals would greet her and offer to get her a damn drink.

It wasn't long before Jasper showed his face after Edan calmed the two squabblers down, always one for a slight entrance of some form but that was befitting of the Tavern's entertainer. Zephyra snickering a little as she looked to him after his comment towards her and Daniel. "And will you ever stop breaking into my stuff to give yourself a more feminine look?" She teased, going back to adjusting the decorations on a table with a little flourish, after all company was about to arrive, and someone was sure to at least enjoy the slight flourish.

Edan smiled softly as the Fairy found his way atop the counter and looked towards him, and he gave a chuckle at the question, but he decided to give the Fairy the time of day. So he stepped back from the counter and took him in, Edan already had an answer as he had always enjoyed the interesting sight that was Jasper Vistavitche, it was a nice touch.
"Well the Kimono is a nice touch, the hair, a little short... And your form is easy on the eyes." He smiled after his critiquing and gave a chuckle as he leaned back on the counter, a relaxed posture to say the least. "I don't see why you need ask, you already know I enjoy the sight, it adds a bit of intrigue to everything."

And finally something happened that raised the spirits of the other warrior present, another came in that tried to hide her nature, but Daniel had become well-versed in sensing others of a capable fight. And so as the Blue-skinned elf walked towards them he met her with a stone-faced look of emotionless calm, and spoke with a tone of the same calmness. "Welcome to the Shifting Salamander Elf. Strong, Mild, Weak, or Crazy?" He asked, making a motion at the barrels behind the counter with his left hand and thumb, seems they carried 4 ready-made brews. "If you don't want any of those let me know what you specifically want and I'll talk to the Brewmaster." At those words he glanced to the purple-haired woman still messing about with the few table decorations there was, seeming to have a slight glare as he looked to her.

The Wanderer Lucinda Reyes
The Shifting Salamander

Lucinda walked through the doors of the tavern. She had been traveling for quite some time, and had just heard that a pocket dimension bar had opened up. In truth, she didn't know what to expect, having explored and traveled all over. Well, what she saw gave her a jump. The walls, decor, and floors continually shifted from the medieval wood and fabric she knew to the tanned yellow and bright whites of the restaurants in the deserts that she grew up with and back. The designs were a mix of her old Arcadian homeland and the ancient ruins that she has explored. This continued for half a minute until everything finally settled on wooden and stone medieval feel. It took her a moment to realize that there was more magic here than just being another realm. Her grip on her blade relaxed as she panned her eyes across the establishment before resting on Edan. With a wide grin, she said, "Edan! Did you cast something to make this place conform to the viewer's history? I had a bit of a shock seeing Arcadian emblems for a moment."

Lucinda walked forward toward the small group of people while still carrying her smile. She was a wanderer, a skilled fighter and honored adventurer in many worlds. Standing at 5 foot 3 inches, she is quick and agile, having lived on her own for such a long time. Her homeland of Arcadia is a memory lost in time, a world that wouldn't come back. To the people of that world, she is called the Exile, but to everyone else, she is the Wanderer, a being always moving with the wind, stopping and imparting a light impression before departing once more. She has spent many years traveling with wanderlust in her eyes, not just exploring a single world, but multiple. To her, any danger and risk is an adventure. But for now, what would satisfy her is a bit of food.

The large beast had to duck his head under the doorframe to enter, his large tail dragging behind him and his heavy metal boots made loud thunk noises as he walked. The chain on his armor rattled, his unwashed metal jaw stained with old blood. His red scales hid any signs of blood, he was a sight. His large muscular arms complete with metal gauntlets swung slightly at his side as he took step by step. His teeth on his upper jaw had grown to stick out, the metal black sharpened teeth glinting in what light there was.

His white eyes watched everything, not that anyone could see his eyes shifting because the color was just pure white. He was breathing hard, a growl escaping his shut maw every time he exhaled. This was the village plunderer, the monster that ate nearly everyone and everything. His scars proved his victorious battles, his gate proving his confidence, and his jaws proving dangerous. He had nearly no sympathy for anyone, going as far as to eating his own kind.

This was Magnus, a monster seemingly born from the pits of Hell themselves but of course he was no demon. He was nothing but mortal, just a very ruthless and angry mortal. Anger was his default emotion, arrogance his number one personality trait. But Magnus was not here to kill today, he was here because he was tired of walking and needed a break. With his head low he walked up to the bar, eyeing any bartender that may or may not be there.

"Oh hush, zephyra, sweetie. You know I'm pretty. Also, we all know you like to get into my stuff as well. " he told her with a giggle and gave her a wink. Jasper was actually quite fond of her and saw her as a sister he could share everything with. Jasper tilted his head with a smirk. "Oh but I do have to,Edan, hun. I like to please you and if you are pleased then most certainly our customers will be happy too. It is business,my darling sweet edan." He anwsered with a big grin since he had gotten a good anwser. Oh how he adored being told such things especially from the owner. As guests started to arrive jasper pushed himself off the counter. "I will get to you again later," he told edan with a wink blowing a kiss at him before making his way over to the stage. People were showing up so jasper decided to do his job as the entertainer. He gave a flick of the wrist spreading some of his fairydust to get things started. "Hello, hello darlings welcome to the shifting salamander and i am jasper or as the boys call me honey lips,i hope you all do have the upmost pleasure to enjoy yourselves and relax." He said in his soft meliodic voice moving his hand out as he spoke then had both on his hips moving as the music started place dancing in the most moving in a exotic way before opening his mouth. What came out was the soft smooth womanly voice now from his lips.

Magnus looked up from adjusting his armor, looking at Jasper as he started speaking. So this place had entertainment? Hmph, maybe for other people this would be called entertainment but for him it was boring. Entertainment was watching or participating in fights, watching people bet for who would live. He dropped his large and heavy head on the counter with a loud thump as his lower metal jaw hit the wood. He had to admit he was a little sleepy.

He just got out of fighting a very well armed stronghold, he was still kind of bleeding too. His back had a large gash and his shoulder faired no better. He heaved a long sigh, he had almost been overrun if it werent for his strength. His thoughts turned back to Jasper, not expecting a feminine voice to come from a male. Though, by the looks of him, he didnt look like your average male either. He was unsure of what he was looking at, species wise.

He saw human, but he also saw wings and a tail. Humans dont have those. Curiosity ran through his mind, his large head sliding across the counter slightly to get a better look at the guy. Magnus had never been one for idetifying species when he saw them unless they held obvious features. Like humans looked human, no other way to explain it. But this one looked human and something else. His mind flicked through may questions he had for himself.

But what question he landed on was how would he taste. Different species had a different base taste to them, what about him? His tail swung side to side, a twitch coming from the large crocodilian creature. His hunger poked his brain, saliva dripping onto the counter. He sighed loudly again, he was tired though. He just watched Jasper, making no move to attack like his previous plan had demanded. Instead his tail just swung right to left in a rhythmic way with his head lying on the counter.

Edan just chuckled at Zeph and Jasp's exchange, seemed most who worked here were getting along rather well in some form or another. That was good, and as Jasper left the counter, there soon came a familiar face, followed by a reptilian one of rather imposing looks, though this didn't worry him. If anything bad happened Daniel would be sure to handle it, after he was finished assisting the blue-skinned Elf who had shown up earlier (Hint: druidcat druidcat previous post, forgot to tag you.). But Edan turned his attention to The Wanderer as he smiled and stood up straight behind the counter. "Indeed I have Lucinda. It is supposed to match what a person believes a tavern should look like, these pocket dimensions are often accessible to more than one era. But it's basic alteration magic for one of my skill, a mind-spell on the doors, and a connection to an alteration spell on the tavern itself." He spoke with a slightly proud tone, something he didn't use often but he believed the Tavern had earned it. But he turned to business next as she neared the counter keeping his pleasant smile and calm posture about him. "So, you in the mood for anything? You name it, I can make it."
Alteras Alteras

Zephyra' attention had drifted after Jasper's talking, specifically to the big reptilian of deadly looks walking in that had started eyeing Jasper, and not in much of a pleasant way, and seeing the drool now upon the counter she decided it best if she offered him something... And so walking up to him and making her presence known with a kick to his tail she began to speak. "Welcome to the Shifting Salamander sir, may I got you anything, food, drink?" She smiled ever so slightly as she looked him over, my... Wasn't he a sight.

Magnus was pulled out of his thoughts when his tail was kicked, making his tail reflexively swing the opposite direction and smack into a chair beside him. The purpose of his tail moving away so quickly from any danger was because his tail was one of his weapons and he tended to keep his weapons in good condition. Not that his tail was attacked, she had just startled him. She was kind of lucky his tail didnt swing towards her or she would have been on the floor from the force.

He lifted his head up off the counter, his drool clinging to his bottom jaw until breaking contact as he moved his head further away from the surface. That was probably going to be a bitch to clean. He noticed her look over him, lifting his head a little high and straightening his back more as a way to kind of show off. Not that he was looking to show off to specifically a female, he would have done the same with a male. He just wished to show off the power his body contained.

"Yes, actually" He growled. His voice sounded like he had just freshly gargled gravel and had a snarl undertone to it. "I am starving, and while I could go hunt down my own food in a village or a tavern like this one," His thick pink tongue swiped across his snout, giving his black metal teeth a new coating of saliva. "I am worn out. What is the biggest meal you have, an entire elk perhaps? Maybe a horse?" They probably didnt sell horse meat.

"I am pure carnivore, I dont want any veggies or fruits with it either" He sounded very commanding but that's just how he spoke.

Lucinda Reyes
The Shifting Salamander

Lucinda took a seat and set her bandage wrapped weapon on the counter before staring into Edan's eyes. Cracking into a even wider smile, she decided to take him up on the challenge. "A Marisua Lemon Rotisserie dressed with Elmanian Fine Wine and a Mug of Flosoarian Beer; Otherwise known as a Darcville Special!" Lucinda's eyes were ready to see his reaction to this absurd meal. The Darcville Special is a very very specific delicacy that can only have come about from the unique position of Darcville between the sea faring nation of Marisua, the forest nation of Elmania and the flat greens of Flosoaria. It was one of the worlds she had traveled in the past, and luckily she had the opportunity to try the meal herself during a quest.

The recipe itself isn't too hard, just that the ingredients required and the imagination needed to create such a dish could only be found in Darcville, but Lucinda had a feeling that Edan knew and had exactly what was needed. Lucinda ignored the beast and the feminine fairy boy behind her since she was too interested in the prospect of some luxurious food appearing in this odd bar.

Entering through the tavern's doorway. Two interesting child figures entered the tavern. One was a little boy assuming to be in his preadolescence. He stood at 4'8, this boy had a slim figure too. He looks so badly beaten and bloody. A big black eye on his left eye, large cuts and bruises across his legs arms and face. An arrow sticking out on his right shoulder. This boy looked even worse if one focuses deeper. He has a large bite mark on his left arm, assuming that he was bitten by a beast larger than him. His mouth had a small stream of blood, dripping down his chin. His hands were soaked with blood, as if he punched someone to mush. The blood from his hands and blood splattered clothes were fresh. So are his injuries. His rapier, blood soaked was dripping slowly in the taverns floor like an ink pen. Wherever he came from it was sure a heck of a battle. He has a strong scent of iron too.

Behind the bloody boy was a stunningly beautiful and eye catchcing girl. She has glowing white pale skin. Almost as pale as the glowing moon itself. Deep blue eyes and long shiny blonde hair that reaches her hips. She stood at 4'6. A short stack of a girl. Her dress had a good mix of blue and white. The color of majesty and beauty. Her golden crown glints brightly to those who stare at it. Compared to the boy. She is unharmed and not a single dirt stain on her nor her dress. She was the clean contrast of the boy. She smells like fresh air too. One can automatically assume she is a princess.

The boy walked in first with his rapier tightly held in his hand. The girl came second. Despite the boy's condition. He can still somehow walk. Although he's a bit slow and sluggish. The girl also had the same pace with the boy but she walks elegantly and straight. She seems to have been following the boy. They may have connection from each other due to this. The boy scrolled his eyes through the Tavern, carefully. He looked for the cleanest seats and motioned the girl to follow him. The boy allowed the girl to sit first then he sat after. The two stared at each other before cutting their eye contact. They didn't seem to had any form of conversation since they entered. The two waited, silently.

Zephyra's eyes widened as this creature's tail took out the chair the opposite side from her, at least it didn't hit her, she would have hated to dust off after a blow from that. But the way he began to show off his body at her viewing eyes, that was a nice sight maybe she'd introduce him to Daniel later, the two might get along rather well. Then came his response, and when he asked what he could get she began to grin, then waiting for him to finish she spoke in a cheery tone, as of boasting. "Now my good creature, I could get you freshly killed Dragon. We're not your common Tavern, despite how it may look. But if you want Dragon-meat, you'll have to eat it out in the Sparring field, not enough room in here for a full-grown Dragon carcass." She gave a slightly mischevious chuckle as if she knew from experience, then shook her head and returned to reality. "But meat you want, meat you shall have, if you want something specific let me know." She said as she began to walk behind the counter, and to a cellar door just behind it, lifting it up as she waited for an answer.

He watched and listened to Lucinda, and rolled his eyes at her request, his mind moving towards the memory of how it looked, then he chuckled and pointed a finger to her. "You do know that a majority of the meals here are made by me, magically or physically. Now sadly I do not have the specific brews but I have the creativity, and the knowledge of the dish. So allow me to present to you..." He grinned and reached under the counter, the rotisserie sitting upon a plate, already cooked and prepared to eat as he set it in front of her and began to look around as if he'd lost something. "Ah there it is." He then leaned over the counter and reached his left hand behind her head, and brought it back with the mug of Flosoarian beer and setting it beside her plate. "And your meal is served. Do try to trip me up next time, because you're no Joe Lupo." He chuckled at the reference he made, knowing she wouldn't get it, that was a different era and he'd passed through it before.
Alteras Alteras

But as he smiled at her attempt he noticed the pair that had just walked in, noting Zephyra was busy he decided to excuse himself from Lucinda and walked over towards them, a slightly worried look on his face as he began to speak, standing there and looking at them.
"Are you two alright? Your possible protector here seems rather hurt." He spoke now with a slightly worried yet kind tone as he looked over the two, quite the contrasting appearances but that did not worry him right now what did was the fact that the boy was rather, well... Bloodied to say the least.

Interesting. Magnus tilted his head slightly, confused at her response. But maybe he didnt get it across that well that he ate people, he did just say he could hunt in villages, that could mean he could hunt for meat at a market or someplace similar. He looked around, to be honest he might actually be able to get away with killing most of everyone here in the tavern if he tried. Hunting animals were very different than hunting sentient, self thinking creatures.

But as he said, he was a very tired being and just was looking to fill his stomach up with a meal that fit his hunger. His head tilted even more when she mentioned dragon meat. Flying lizards, fearsome and greedy. Magnus could relate to them in many ways to be honest. He's had dragon meat before, of course scavenged off a two day dead dragon. It wasnt the best meat he had tasted, that title belonged to the human kind.

He watched her open a door, presumably to the cellar. His eyes was not on the trapdoor, however, it was on her. That long, purple hair that near glistened in the light. Her pale skin, her small frame, he could easily envelop her. The hair, she'd have a hard time running away if he had her hair locked in his hand. Her small frame can easily crush under his jaws, staining pale skin red with the fresh wounds his teeth would make.

Beauty was very different to Magnus, sure, he had eaten the last female that tried to mate with him, but he could be compassionate. He's never tried before though. This woman, this female human, was beautiful, yes, but in a way a hunter sees a large buck. They would comment 'what a beauty' because it was worthy prey. This human female was no different, usually he went after harder to kill types, but something about her seemed so... Appetizing.

He started drooling again, his tongue snaking out of his maw and licking his snout again before retreating back behind his sharp and dangerous teeth. He then realized his hunger was doing the moving, now he shall speak. "If you have horse meat, that would be just fine" He said. What he wanted to say was something along the lines of perhaps offering herself as the food.

??? and ???

Both looked up to the man. Seems like he's in charge. The boy breathed heavily as he tried to gain his strength to talk. Fortunately the girl had beaten him to it first.

"I'm fine, thank you. But he isn't. He's been fighting before we got here and-" The girl had a soft spoken tone. Almost soothing to the ears. Her faced looked worried as much as the man's. She has witnessed what the boy has been through. She then cut off by the boy.

"I'm f-fine... Just get her something to eat and drink... I-ill pay for it." The boy said to the man. He didn't seem to care much about himself. His tone sounded struggled and soft. Almost like he can hardly breath, he still tried to sound polite. The boy kept his rapier at his side. He coughed a small spat of blood over the table. "I'm sorry." He apologized to the man. He didn't want to stain the tavern with his filthy blood so he wiped it off with his elbow.

Lucinda watched Edan roll his eyes before seeing the meal set before her. "Darn it, you got me this time..." She was happy nonetheless, as evidenced by the drool at the corner of the lips. She was confused by the reference, but paid no mind as Edan went to serve the two who had just come in. Instead, she picked up her fork and knife, pushing the fork against the main meal. The smell and look of it was a near perfect copy of the Darcville Special, poking into it, succulent oil and fat dribbled out. Licking her lips, she dove in, one moment eating the chicken, the next downing the Flosoarian beer, and back. It was that good.

The doors creaked open shortly after the children, a tall figure slipping inside, his features hidden by his hood. He wore a pair of simple jeans, a pair of black gloves, and a zipped up, black coat, with pristine white fur lining the hood. Other than the odd jacket he seemed rather... unremarkable. He managed to step passed the children, giving a slight nudge to the girl in his rush. Grunting out a "sorry", as he passed, he pulled himself up a seat at the bar, his hand comming to his hidden face as he gave a groan.

"Alcohol. Hardest you have. Quickly..." finally his eyws came into view, a pair of golden orbs peering from the shadows of his hood, giving him some form of features. He glanced about, taking in the current group, and gave a slight chuckle." Rare to see such an odd bunch in one place...might need that drink more than i thought" he gave a hiss as his eyes vanish, his hand coming to rest on his head again"I thought I said qui-" he cut himself off, realizing he had raised his voice. Taking a breath, he sighed" please...need to nurse the iron spike in my skull..."

Jasper continued to sing and dance as expected of him for his job as the entertainer. He then started the next song after moving his hands around as the music changed moving his hips gently as he changed the appearance of the stage for those who looked. The very femine male started to sing again as he turned around flitting his large insect wings up. He removed the kimono to reveal a new outfit. He turned around and posed. He changed his voice again to somewhat is own but it was softer. He was quite femine and it wouldn't be hard to mistake him for one sometimes.
He started to move as he sang creating sparks of light around him as he danced." Summers in the hills, those gaze days I do rememberrrr.....we were running still, had the whole worldd at our feet. Watching seasons change. Our roads were lined with adventure. Mounains in the way. Didn't keep up from the sea..here we stand up and nod. This is home where we are. Where we're strong in the world that we maddeeee." He sings changing his voice to echo or change as the song plays to match. He used his powers to create a effect of scenery that changed at he moved and came down flicking his wings out as butterflies burst out only to vanish. As certain parts of the music got heavier he made it look like he was in another place playing out like he was telling a story. The scene he created looked like a forest with a lake at night which he even went as far as making it look like he was in the center of it at moving the elements along with the light and darkness to dance with him. Near the end it went dark around him and then flashed as it did that as he went down with Each flash dramtically. At the end of the music the stage appeared to normal and jasper had vanished with a burst of butterflies. He then could be seen having appeared sitting up high with a fanged grin and looking all sparkly in the light due to his natural dust. He knew He could help out. He came down with a light glide due to his insect wings walking with a movement in his hips swaying his tail behind him. He came over seeing how busy it had gotten and of course came over to check it all out. Tilting his head eyeing the reptile first he licked his lips. "Oh my, you do know she's a demoness, right hunie? Hehehee,it's wise not to look at her like that or me for that matter...girls like us will just devour you whole first, better stick to something more satisfying. Hmm..you should try minotuar or kelpie if you haven't. Or perhaps unicorn." He told the croc looking guy with a smirk before turning around. The fairy then saw the other male with the coat and approached bringing him over a drink knowing that the others were busy. It wasn't unusual for jasper to help out with other things when not performing,he could just use his magic or sprites to do it. The fairy smiled inspecting him and spoke with his soft voice as he sat against the counter licking his lips as he handed over the drink. "Well what do we have here? You don't seem too well, sweetie is there anyway I can be of assistance?" He asked dipping his head looking at him with those emerald green eyes as the long front sides of his hair fell cascading over his shoulders down over past his chest.

Piscín eyed Daniel, tilting her head to the side as she sought to get a grasp of his overall demeanor, but the man's sharp, bright eyes and serious façade masked an impenetrable soul. Either way, he was a bartender, and that's what mattered. She flashed her most charming smile and mused, "Let's start off Mild. Don't want to get too crazy too fast, eh?"

She slid herself onto a bar stool to relax and wait for her drink, extending her hands above her head to stretch. More patrons were beginning to trickle into the bar, she noted, and they were just as... diverse as she suspected. Another warrioress, a massive beast, two children, and a figure shrouded and hidden in layers of clothing had already made their way into the bar, and the venue was starting to become loud with a cacophony of voices. The elf removed her gloves and blade, setting them daintily beside her on the counter - more for her comfort than anything else, but the gesture also doubled as a sort of peace offering. She grinned at Daniel as she shrugged out of her traveling coat.

"Getting toasty in here," she said. "Looks like they're keeping you busy."

Magnus
Once again someone tore him from his hungry thoughts, Magnus swinging his large head around to look at who had spoken to him. He tilted his head, noticing him to be the singer that had just preformed. He must have seen Magnus's hunger for himself because he was warned right off the bat about eating either him or the female. Well, if she was a demoness he could understand, even he knew not to fuck with creatures from Hell.

But did that make Jasper a demon too or was he something else just as dangerous? Or was he just talking big? By the looks of him he didnt look to be much, but he was already deceived by looks already to the point he had called a demoness a human. Interesting. That made the female less appealing in the sense of food, going for futile prey is a waste of energy he could be using to take down more eligible prey like oxen or human warriors.

He just nodded to Jasper, not saying anything as they guy had walked away. Well, he should be grateful for the warning, just probably saved his life. Though he didnt know how many people would be thinking him for saving the life of a mass murdering, always hungry psychopath. Or that's what he had been called before, psychopath, demon, evil, monster, ect ect. He did like the word psychopath, it was kind of fun to say.

Well, good thing he didnt actually follow through on his plan, he had just asked for the horse meat so hopefully he'd get it. His head turned when this mysterious man sat just a chair away from him at the bar. Magnus tilted his head, he couldnt smell anything familiar off the guy. But by the sound of him, iron spike in the head, dressed in dark clothes, he sounded and looked like he was getting over a bad hangover or something.

Probably not, why would he ask for more strong alcohol? Didnt make any sense. He just kept quiet, but he did wonder if this guy was human or not. At this point he didnt even notice a new set of heavy metal boots heading their way, followed by a small clinking sound. He had only noticed the newcomer when she took up a seat beside the other guy. But what made Magnus's head tilt even more was her... Companion?

Quintara

It has been such a long search, her and her companion was tired. As she sat down, her companion looked over at the guy they were sitting next to. The eye in the jewel on its hilt blinked, hopping over to the man clad in black in curiosity. The sword stood waist high, the glowing blue jewel held a slitted pupil that just kind of stared at the guy. Quintara didnt notice her sword taking interest in someone else, she was too worn out.

The sword kind of leaned against the man, and oddly enough, a very high pitched purr seemed to come from the sword. It was literally alive. It seemed to try to nuzzle its hilt, which would probably be the head anatomically, on the guy's arm. Whatever it saw in him, it took fascination to this guy. Maybe it was just curious about who he was, what he looked like, all that jazz.

With a shaky hand he reached forward, taking the glass and bringing it to his hidden lips. With a groan he relaxed. The taste alone was doing its work.
"Mmm...thank you. Im sorry. Lately I've had a constant migraine. Skull is cracked and its causing me quite abit of pain...I suppose im abit short tempered right now" to took another drink.

" and help? Unlikely. Unless you can turn back time acouple centuries. Let me shoot myself before I screwed my life over. That'd be gre-" he was cut off by the sudden touch at his side, nearly spilling his drink as he jerked to look, his eyes having reappeared. The armored female(by assumptions.this place made it hard to tell) didnt seem to take notice of him. But her blade did. It had pressed itself against him much like a cat craving attention. He couldnt help but chuckle at his own reaction, and reached down, scratching its guard with a gloved finger. "You spike my drink? Or is this actually purring?" He spoke to his tender, giving a glance between the two that surrounded him.

The sword enjoyed the scratching greatly, the jewel glowing brighter and he pressed against the man even more. It did seem like a cat, a very deadly one. It could wield itself, it didnt need its owner to pick it up and swing it around. That came with pros and cons, the pros were Quintara didnt have to carry it everywhere, she had someone at her back, and the sword was always in a better mood if it could move on its own accord and fight as it pleased.

Cons were it could wander away, get pissed off and kill someone without her say-so, and it could go and bother others. Like it was doing now. It had no understanding of personal space in the slightest, whatever space existed that meant it could invade that space. Quintara herself was a bit busy to notice her sword had gone off and made a new friend, she was too busy scratching something in the forearm of her armor.

Looked like tic marks. She was marking something down as a record. Her sword didnt mind her, it was too busy getting attention from someone else who wasnt too busy with their little quest or whatever it was its owner was doing. At the moment the two were not on good standards, not speaking and the sword refused to let her hold it. Which is kind of a problem since the two were bound together forever. So fighting was not going to be too good in their situation.

It just purred and purred at the guy, very appreciative of the scratches it was receiving. It seemed to grow warmer the longer it was pet, the jewel changing color slightly as it got hotter.

Jasper shook his head lightly as he leaned on the counter looking at him directly. His tail flicked." I mean I could always heal you or reduce the pain if you so desire, hun. " he told him and watched as the woman sat down. He gave a wave and smiled. "Hello, hello welcome, miss is there anything you want to drink? " he asked with a nod. He looked over as the sword started nudging the guy he had origially been talking to. "I didn't...if I had any intentions of such things I would have directly perused you rather than drugging you...not all males are into me and I'm not one to force it even if I love good handsome man any day." He anwsered with a giggle and brushed his bangs from his eyes. Jasper looked to be in a good mood as his wings flitted a little.

Zephyra took a little longer than usual to get the meat from their cellar, after all finding a platter that could hold enough for such a large and hungry patron was a challenge in itself, but soon enough she came out of the cellar, a large platter, likely one used to hold a meal of prized-pig proportions now covered in raw horse meat held above her head as she came out, kicking the door closed and setting the platter in front of the reptilian patron. "And here you are sir! Fresh horse meat, I didn't know if you wanted it cooked or anything so I just left it as it was. Hope it's enough, if not let me know and I'll be glad to get you some more." She finished with a mischevious grin, before her eyes widened in remembrance. "Oh! And I hope it's good, pure-bred royalty-raised steed, no joke." She gave him a more proper smile as she moved to the side, hopping up on the counter, by looks alone this reptile had garnered her interest one currently of fascination, and so she silently watched him despite knowing he could likely see that she was.

Then came the armor-clad warrioress, who seemed rather put-out and that interesting sword of hers but the sword could wait to be seen, leaning over to the female she spoke.
"Hello there, could I get you a drink, a meal? Anything you wish I know we'll have."

Well, at least he could tell the boy cared for the girl he had towed in with him, but being who he was Edan already decided what he would do. Looking to the boy he nodded as he spit up the blood, Edan truly didn't mind but the boy seemed to care for it anyways. "Of course sir, but you won't need to pay, it's on the house. Give me a moment." He walked over towards the counter, going behind it to grab a mug before filling it at one of the barrels slightly farther back and mumbling something at it, setting it down on the counter as he reached under the counter and now pulled out a small platter holding a meal fit for one of royalty which he was sure the girl was, along with a bottle of some sort of wine and a chalice to drink it from, balancing this on his arms and hands with ease he walked back to the table where the two children sat. First handing the mug to the boy before setting the plate, chalice, and now open bottle in front of the girl, pouring the sweet-smelling wine into the chalice for her before setting the bottle down and looking to the boy yet again. "Do be sure you at least take a sip of that drink I brought for you, it's merely honeyed-mead but I assure you that you'll feel better as soon as it touches your lips." He smiled kindly and bowed his head to the two, unbeknownst to likely most in the tavern aside from the magically attuned, Edan had cast a simple healing spell upon the mead he had given the boy, effectively turning it into a healing potion. Never has it been true that Edan would not help those who needed it.

(No worries Druid, I just forgot to tag you so I made sure you'd know where to find said post.)
Daniel nodded as the Elf told him what she wished for, starting to head behind the counter pulling a mug out from under the bar as he headed back towards the barrels, looking at them as he tried to figure out which was the right one, but soon finding it he returned to the Elf with a full mug of some sweet-smelling liquid, though apparently for here... Mild was still a strong drink at least it was watered down though from what was surely the actual strong drink for this place. And as she spoke he nodded. "Well it's not that bad for opening day to be honest, but I'm sure Edan is happy to such a cast here and a fight has yet to break out. But Tavern's house the weary more than anything else, likely why no-one has started one." He spoke still with that same time and voice, still standing straight and now slightly wary as his eyes scanned the Tavern, resting on the reptilian for a few moments making note that he was truly something to remember, perhaps speak to later. But his eyes soon drifted as they went back to watching the tavern's patrons.

He gave a pause, thinking it over. "Nnn... i suppose alittle relief wouldnt hurt." He continued to scratch the guard, his thumb running down the hilt as he looked the weapon over. Beautiful craftmanship. And to have a life all its own? Incredible. He sighed, scratching the back of his head.
"I know you cant heal me...but if you wouldnt mind relieving the pain, i'd be thankful." He glanced toward Jasper, before looking to the owner of the living sword.
"Eh...ma'am? Where did you...get such a blade?"
