The Second Griffon War (Casual Thread - All welcome!)

Well, that didn't go exactly as planned. Yet, there was still hope! Apparently this guard knew her by name, so perhaps she could woo the stallion into letting this go and simply moving on? She poked her head out from under the table and was thoroughly surprised when she noticed that the guard was, in fact, not a stallion. It was a mare.

Well hey, a fan was a fan. She wouldn't judge!

Fleur sauntered up to the door, opened it, and gave Arcus the best sexy-eyes she could manage. They were pretty damn sexy. The maid outfit she was wearing for Nightmare Night made it way better.

"Hey there... Soldier. I don't suppose we can... Forget this ever happened?"

Arcus was not used to getting bedroom eyes from anybody, and look uncomfortable as she fidgeted in her armous, looking at everything but Fleur and blushing.

"I guess you weren't doing anything that would get you in trouble. You paid for what you ate. You shouldn't be out here, though. Not without an escort!"

Tyrus would be moving around inside Canterlot Mountain, looking for anyone to scare. He'd gone out of his way to get a changeling mask (Ironic), and wanted to give someone a fright. He'd continue moving around, looking around for somepony, occasionally fixing his jacket, not wanting to get cold or anything.

He hadn't really thought about the fact the mask he was wearing could scare someone a bit to much, but that was something he could learn and worry about at a later time.

"Escorts are for cowards! Do I look like a coward?!" Says the mare who was just hiding under the damned table as if that would make her problems go away. Definitely not a coward. Nope. Not scared to face the guard. "... You wanna come in and eat candy? You can be, uh... Dressed as a guard."

GeneralTyrus GeneralTyrus
There in the distance, was a vulnerable target. A little cyan colored mare was wandering around outside, asking for candy and getting all sorts of weird glances considering she was well into her twenties and that was weird. She was so distracted that it'd be an easy scare...

Dreamweaver Dreamweaver

Tyrus would grin behind the mask, slowly making his way after the mare, "This should be good." He'd say to himself, chuckling lightly as he used his wings to hover just off the ground, not wanting her to hear his hoof steps. He'd float around other ponies, not wanting to bump into anything or anyone that might alert the mare.

GeneralTyrus GeneralTyrus
His mask got all sorts of grimaces. Changelings weren't exactly beloved, and were treated much like other gross monstrosities, half of which most ponies didn't know actually existed. When he finally caught up to the mare, she'd jump and scream... Before promptly pulling out a can of pepper spray and hitting him in the eyes with it.

Not spraying it. Literally hitting him with the can.

Unfortunately for Gunnolf, he was stuck with the 'not so fun' part of Nightmare Night. Which was wandering around with the actual Nightmare Moon. Luna wasn't exactly in a nice state of mind since her kids were, well, gone, and the first thing she had done upon getting her magic back was lose her shit. As she would have described, extreme emotional disturbances and physical trauma can make this change happen.

Luckily nobody actually knew it was Nightmare Moon because it was Nightmare Night. She got a lot of 'Wow Princess Luna, great costume!' remarks, which made her snarl more and more for each one that was said. This was going well. Right now she was going around to the statues of Nightmare Moon built up around Canterlot Mountains interior to collect her 'sacrifices' of candy.

Tyrus would stagger away, yanking off the mask when as he able, "Hey! Relax!" He'd say, fluttering back towards the mare slowly, holding up his hooves, "I'm friendly! Just a joke was all!" He'd continue giving a weak grin, before reaching up and rubbing his eyes, "Ow..." He'd mutter, blinking a few times.

Well, Gunnolf wasn't one for festivities anyway, and he wasn't in a much better mood than Princess Luna. He might even love those kids almost as much as Luna or Celestia. The celebrations going in currently both annoyed him because of how loud everybody was---being underground did that to you, the sounds echoed, which put more stress on his ears---and Asa, Flurry Heart, Salacia, and Silvanus we're gone. He didn't deem it fit to celebrate anything until they were home safely.

He was a bit more level than Luna was, though. While not outright snarling at others, he sometimes let a small growl loose. While that may be small for him, it was still plenty loud for others and got the message across well enough. Don't mess with him. "This is pointless." He grumbled. "Why are we out here?"

"Right this way, Shifter." One of the five guards escorting Tyrus said. It was the night after the Canterlot Battle, and for the moment the war was being halted. It was well known by now that the Griffons had gotten a hold of the Princesses children, and now were using them as a sick way to barter and win the war. However, whatever was happening to Tyrus right now was completely unknown. He hadn't been harmed at all since the battle ended, but he also hadn't been allowed to roam free. He was given a nice room and everything he asked for, but was always under surveillance.

Until now. These 5 guards had pulled him from the room and were escorting him... somewhere. They wouldn't answer any questions as to where he was going. They had blindfolded him and kept him walking blindly.

Eventually they reached their destination. Tyrus would hear a door open in front of him, and then was ushered through the door. Then that door shut behind him, and he was ushered no longer. He would be able to remove his blindfold now.

When he removed it, he would find himself in a short pitch black hallway, with no guards around. At the end of the hallway was a table, with 2 chairs; one on each side. The only light at all was a very dim, almost nonexistent one which hung above the table. Behind him was a locked metal door.

Tyrus would look around for the guard, planning to ask what this was about, but when he got a good look around the room, he'd clam up, shivering as he slowly made his way towards the table, shaking, "H- hello?" He'd ask, slowly looking around the room once more, wondering if someone else was here, though he couldn't tell, it was too dark except for that table.

Taking one last look around, believing himself to be alone, Tyrus would go to the table, quickly sitting down, then go about removing his piercing from his ears, seeming to have trouble with them until he finally got them, setting them onto the table, "Why the heck do I have to be here..." He'd mutter, slumping onto the table.

Only after Tyrus had gotten nice and relaxed did the other occupant of the room make an appearance. A pair of hooves came to settle on Tyrus' shoulders, holding him firm when he no doubt would have jumped from the sudden unexpected contact. The hooves didn't hurt much, but judging from how easily the pony was holding him still it was fair to say that they could hurt if he made some kind of a stupid move.

After several seconds of silence, the hooves removed themselves from his shoulders and the figure began to walk around the room. Even with the dim light in the room, the pony was pretty much invisible. The only thing that Tyrus would be able to see is a pair of cat-like dimly glowing teal colored eyes in the darkness. After walking around the room a few times, the figure finally spoke up in a soft feminine voice, "My sister... Vouches for you. It is for that reason you are not having information forcibly removed like your kin."

The figure stepped forward into the dim light, revealing herself as she did so an placing her forehooves on the desk. Even if they had both been standing, she still towered over Tyrus; now with him sitting down, it was like looking up at a giant. "I, however, do not place such trust in your kind."

Tyrus indeed did jump, though he was held down thankfully, he might have hit the ceiling otherwise. He'd sit there quietly as the figure moved around, just out of sight, making Tyrus' squint, trying to see them. Then he'd hear the voice and shrink, his hooves tucked tightly to his chest. Once he could see her, and she towered over him, he'd shrink further, trying to make himself into a ball. To think, the one I liked more is the one that's going to kill me... He'd think to himself.

"I.. I understand... C- com- completely..." He'd say, not looking at her as he tried to get his shakes under control, clinching his eyes shut tightly, not really wanting to look at her.

GeneralTyrus GeneralTyrus
Princess Luna regarded Tyrus blankly. Whatever it was she was thinking, it never showed on her face. Her cat-like slitted eyes blinked a couple times, glowing dimly in the darkness, before her horn lit up and surrounded the chair opposite Tyrus. She pulled it out and sat down comfortably close to the desk. She didn't say much more at the moment, opting instead to summon a pot of tea and two cups.

She poured herself one, and then poured another and slid it to Tyrus wordlessly.

Tyrus would eye the tea carefully, slowly taking it in his hooves, then look to her quickly, then back to the cup, slowly taking a sip, then mutter a thanks. He'd take a few more sips, his throat feeling dry, then slowly look up to her, watching her eyes, "I... I don't really know that much..." He'd say, it was true, his information would be a good fifteen years out of date. He'd set the cup down, rubbing his hooves, "I... I haven't been apart of the hive for a long time..." He'd say, then rub his shoulders.

Does she honestly care about what I say... Or is this some cruel trick. He'd think to himself, looking back down at his tea, before becoming more worried, What... What if she poisoned me?! He'd think, becoming more and more irrational, beginning to shake and shiver.

Luna could practically taste his fear. Of all the emotions on the spectrum, fear was the one she was most acquainted with, and the one that she controlled. She regarded him sternly as he drank the tea, and nodded at his words. When she noticed him beginning to shake and shiver even more, she decided to let off the pressure a bit and simply leaned back in her chair, away from him.

"I did not poison you." She said as if reading his thoughts. She wasn't reading his thoughts, of course, but she was very good at simply reading creatures in general. No doubt that would be on his mind, especially when he started shaking after drinking the tea. "I am aware that you've been living in Equestria for quite some time, under disguise. I have your whole history under that disguise memorized. But what about the time before you came to our lands? What did you do before you took the form of this Pegasus?"

Dreamweaver Dreamweaver

Tyrus would sit up, "I... I was a scout... I was supposed to watch Equestria, and report what I saw..." He'd say, hoping honesty would get him some points, then realised he told her that he was pretty much a spy before coming here, "It was more about looking at borders, not really coming into the territory... I was just supposed to watch the border..." He'd say, though he wouldn't realise that he implied he did more than watch the border, "I would bring back notes... T- that's all..." Now that was a lie, and it was pretty obvious, considering how much he would fidget and look around when he said it, like a damnable fool.

He'd sit there, going quiet, peaking at her eyes, then look back to his cup again, focusing on it.

"WHISPER?"
Through the festivities a doctor and nurse ran through the crowd, panicked. They were searching for someone, and despite their cries they went unheard. They were being watched by a smaller colt, whose coat was a sickly white and who had a matching tail and mane to boot. His slush-gray eyes gazed over them, and he smiled as he saw them give up the chase.

He hated being stuck in the Hospital, even if it was for his own good. For now he would simply wander, drawing the occasional glance as his awkward appearance drew some (unwanted) attention to himself. The small colt had managed to steal a saddlebag, which was bulging with scrolls and books and tomes on various subjects.

Leper

As Whisper moved about the hospital, he himself would be watched by an amused mare, Leper, who watched him with a... smirk, before slowly following him, wanting to ask the young boy about what he'd be doing, trying get an idea of why he'd avoid his doctors. If his health was bad, it might be best if he stuck with them.

Leper ended up in the hospital, mostly because some guard had thought she had a disease, having demanded to see her face. He reacted poorly, rushing her to the hospital. He had felt bad about the whole thing after the doctor corrected his mistake, in a rather harsh way.

GeneralTyrus GeneralTyrus
Whisper was entirely unaware of Leper, simply trotting towards a slightly less crowded area and pulling out a book labeled "Advanced Magick Theory in Regards to Magicks of Sun and Moon." The tome seemed old, very old, and rather comprehensive-looking due to the fact that it was rather thick. He opened up to the middle, and began reading. The colt was absorbed in his book, now unaware of practically everything. Though a unicorn, it could be noted that he rarely used his magic.

Every time he had to use his magic, whether to light a small light for reading or moving the book's pages without inconveniencing himself, a small sweat would break out on his forehead. He seemed to get paler just by sitting there.

Leper would have gotten next to him at this point, reading over his shoulder, grimacing at what she was reading, not being a unicorn, and being raised by Gryphon made it a bit difficult to work her mind around most things made up of magic. She'd cough, and look at the young colt, "Excuse me... What are you reading?" She'd ask, shifting her weight on her hooves, trying to get comfortable as she stood there, though it was near impossible, the sling holding her Great-sword digging into her back just enough that she couldn't get used to it.

He didn't look up from his book, though Leper succeeded in jarring Whisper out of his literary reverie.
"Oh, uh.....it's a book on magical theory."
He said, closing the book. While he did prefer books to ponies, he knew the basics of social interaction and knew not conversing with Leper was considered rude. His voice was also pretty hoarse and quiet, which was probably why the doctor called him "Whisper."
After looking up, he didn't have an adverse reaction to seeing Leper, but instead offered a seat next to him.
"My name's Whisper, what's yours?"

Leper would tilt her head slightly, thinking about whether or not she really felt like telling him, "My name... My name is Leper." She'd state simply, before looking to the book again, "Seems to be a bit much for someone like you." She'd say, looking back up to Whisper's face, "I'm sorry, I forgot to ask your name." She'd say, chuckling weakly. Whisper would notice that when she would breathe, it almost sounded like light whistling.

He didn't seem to care, his own breathing sounded like an asthma attack if he so much as picked up something slightly heavy.
"My name's Whisper. And I've heard that before. It's okay really, it's not. Anyone can do what I'm doing if they try at it."
He said, giving her a smile.
"It's nice to meet you Leper."

Leper would nod, then look around, "Any reason you are avoiding your doctors? I imagine you've given them quite the fright to be honest." She'd say, looking back to him, raising a brow, which he could only barely see due to her mask. She'd shift on her hooves again, getting annoyed with the sling across her back.

He sighed
"I haven't really left the hospital since I got here from Ponyville a while ago."
He said, rubbing his neck somewhat uncomfortably
"I don't like being there."
