Fantasy The School of Aftermath

"Don't worry you will do fine." He brushed up close to her as they walked. Simon took the opportunity the girls were having to meet the senior. "Hey my name is Simon, its nice to meet ya." He held out his hand to Ajax.

"Ajax." He put his notebook in Skye's lap and took the guys hand and shook it. "Same to you."

Ajax nodded and chuckled, "Yeah, I guess that says something." He said obviously joking. He sat back down in his seat. "Yeah, if the teachers don't show up then why should we? I just wanted a quiet place. How abut yourself?"

Simon leaned in and whispered to Ajax, "Mostly following my little lass, which you've seen to do the same." He smiled as he straightened back up.

"She's not my 'little lass'" Ajaz gave Simon an odd look. "You really shouldn't look at a girl that way." He said respectfully and standing up.

"Little lass had no derogatory terms used to denounce a woman, better realize people's intentions before questioning them." Simon straightened up to the senior, feeling disrespected, but honestly misunderstood. "Sorry to bother you, I thought for someone older you would understand the difference between a joke and a degrading term.". Great start Simon.

"Somethings are just immature, and disrespectful to joke about kid" Ajax took a step towards Simon, blocking him from either of the girls in the room.

"You know it was going so great til you immediately judged me, and here you go doing it again. Something are just immature, like stepping up to me, what's wrong big boy, can't handle things with words?" Simon didn't move, let alone flinch, but he didn't want any problems.

Ajax sarcastically remarked, "Yeah, you're right," He sat back down. ", sorry for standing to my beliefs. I'll be sure not to do it again." He smiled and put his headphones on, blasting music.

Simon sighed, he motioned for him to take out his headphones, an apologetic look crossing his face. He was not just going to stand there awkwardly as the girls conversed, it wasn't his way.

Ajax took out his headphones and sighed, "Listen, I just don't take jokes well. This is going to sound like such a cliche but I knew a lot of people, my self included, that were 'just joked' about. I don't take it lightly. I'm...sorry." He waved his hands and stood back up.

"Wait, joked about, I haven't said a word about you besides this little confrontation." Simon was dumbfounded, then he recalled his first moments inside the classroom. "Is that why you gave me a dirty look in the classroom?".

"I thought you were talking about me...I hate when people do that." Ajax put his hands in his pockets.

Simon laughed, the whole thing was a huge misunderstanding, "No no, I was asking about you from Aura. I just glanced over to show who I was talking about."

"Oh. Hah. Yeah...sorry about that..." Ajax scratched the back of his head, ruffing up his already messy hair style.

Auralee quickly finished up her conversation with a girl which she found out her name was Skye. She stayed silent while the boys were talking, as she didn't really know what to say to Skye. She really just warmed up to Simon. Aura twiddled her thumbs and bit her cheek. She really didn't like meeting new people and she doesn't seem to know why she should start now.

Simon noticed Aura was getting nervous and poked her softly with an elbow, "Would you like to go somewhere else?".

She gratefully looked at Simon. "If you'd like. I don't know if you're finished speaking with Ajax." Aura looked at Ajax and gave him a small smile before looking back down at her feet.

"Me and Ajax will have plenty of time to bicker on later, I still owe you a trip around the school.". He gave Ajax a wink and a friendly smile. "Where to?".

"Oh, in that case follow me, and I shall give you the grand tour." Simon began to walk past Ajax and Skye, checking to make sure Aura was following. Once they were past the two seniors he motioned for her to let him take her arm again. "Just so you know I have no idea where we are going." He gave her a smile as they walked on.

Aura giggled, tucked her hair behind her ear with one hand and gently grabbed Simon's hand with the other. "Um, tell me about yourself." Aura said, trying to start some conversation during their little 'tour'.

"What exactly do you want to know? Just about myself is a little too vague for me." Simon was right next to her, gripping her hand softly, rubbing it lightly with his thumb.
