Castor

"That was the puke couch, Marisol. That's the couch you sit on when you puke. We don't want puke on the good couch. What are we, animals?" Sleep didn't seem possible. Yeah he was dead tired but he didn't like to see Marisol up by herself keeping watch. So Castor tried to stay up all night and keep watch with Marisol. They made fun conversation reminiscing about parties they had been at together and shared embarrassing stories about other drunk people, talked about their drunken mistakes. They discussed some past memories, those that they could remember. It was like he picked faces and feelings out of a mystery bag but couldn't find the actual image or backstory.

Castor fell asleep probably around 4 sitting on the floor leaning against the lockers. His face was pressed against the cool metal and he was drooling. When Nora left he didn't budge. The yelling started to make him stir. He let out a loud yawn and rubbed his eyes as he woke up. "Fuck man, I'm drained." He looked around and rubbed his eyes some more. "Where'd Nora go." He slowly stood up before Nora walked in. "Yeah yeah woman, you don't have to sound so cheerful. It's too early for that." With that said he yawned and walked outside to the car. He had every intention on sleeping on the way to the lake house.

Everest

Did Everest say something to offend Viola? Surely she had to think about their situation. Right? She was smart, and logical. When she graduated and wasn't one of the students he advised then he would love to see where these confusing feelings led to. Her reaction made his heart ache though. His thoughts battled between Viola and the strangers that were after them. He stayed up in the living room most of the night on the sofa keeping watch.

Eventually Everest fell asleep sprawled out on the plush leather couch in the living room. It had windows that allowed him to see the front yard and some of the side yard, it also led back into the family room where he could see the other side of the house. It wasn't until he heard someone coming down the large wooden curved staircase did he wake back up. "Hn?" He slowly slid up and looked at the windows. It was daytime. The birds were chirping and they were still alive.

He stood up and walked to the end of the staircase in the other room and gave a small smile at Delphina. "Ah, good morning Delphina. You're up early. Did you sleep well or were you just anxious to see Yuu?"

Yuu

When Nora left the locker room at about 6:30 in the morning, Yuu thought about following her outside, but the sound of the voice on the other side of the phone told him he would have made things a lot worse for her by showing up outside. He could only assume the loud harsh sounds were coming from her boyfriend... what a fucking loser... who yells at a woman? After a few minutes she made her way back inside at let them know of the car waiting.

Yuu stood and stretched his arms over his head before heading over to Nora and sliding the car keys from her hand before moving to open the door. "I'll drive if that's okay. You still look a little tired after last night, I'm used to getting shit sleep." He gave her a weak smile. Honestly, he knew she was upset about whatever happened on that phone call and in the parking lot, it was written all over her face. Part of Yuu wanted to chase the guy down and beat the shit out of him. But this Yuu knew that it would cause more harm than good, he also knew they needed to get a move on.

Outside he slid into the drivers seat and adjusted everything for the drive before pulling up GPS on his phone and tossing it in the cup holder. "Let's get going. It's not a terrible drive but suns coming up and I'd like to get off campus unseen if possible." Once everyone was in their seats he peeled out into to road and started on the travel.

Marisol

"Puke couch? Oh! We have one of those in the sorority. We call ours a trash can though." Marisol rolled her eyes and sighed at the boy before settling into her spot against the lockers. They talked for a long while about everything. Current memories, some of the past, just bullshit in general. That warm feeling in her chest came back in a way that made her cold exterior melt a tiny bit.

After a while Castor fell asleep and she let out a sigh, leaning her head back against the lockers and staring at the ceiling. How did so much happen in such a short amount of time. These were all people she knew of but wasn't friends with. Viola and herself sure but.... Raven was her teacher and Everest worked as a counselor for the school. Castor, Yuu and Delphina were hot shot athletes and popular all around school. Nora was like the university's sweetheart. Now she had all these feelings about the rest of them that she didn't fully understand. Eventually she herself became mentally fatigued and slipped into a small nap.

When Nora came back into the room and told them it was time to go, Marisol sat up slowly with a long wimpier of a sigh. "Fuck me... god dammit." She honestly felt like her eyes had been closed for thirty seconds. With a scowl on her face she walked out to the car and climbed in the backseat, slamming the door behind her. It wasn't that she wasn't thankful for the ride, considering people were literally hunting them right now. It was more the fact that she still wasn't fully awake. In the back seat she sat with her back against the door and tucked her legs up on the seat with her before burrowing inside Castor's jacket and falling quickly back asleep.

Viola

After Delphina got her some clothes, Viola quickly went to bed, swallowing down all of the stress and confusing emotions from the day. In the morning she woke up and went to shower in the bathroom that Delphina had pointed out the night prior, on the way she saw Delphina leaving her room and heading down the stairs. The look on her face was brutal, she looked absolutely petrified. Just as Viola was about to call out to her she heard Everest's voice ring out and she frowned a little, her heart pained. But he was probably right... she was probably just worried about the others. Viola decided that was a sufficient reason and turned into the bathroom to take a quick shower.

Once out of the shower Viola pulled on a pair of jean shorts that she borrowed from Delphina before yanking on a white hoodie with some logo foreign to her on the front. She didn't bother with her hair and simply just pulled it into a messy bun after brushing out the wet strands. Once dressed she made her way downstairs and nodded to Everest and Delphina with a straight face. "Good morning. Are the others still not here? Has anyone heard from them?" She spoke as she walked over to the kitchen and filled a glass of water and taking a sip. "I forgot to charge my phone last night so it's plugged in now." She took a seat at the dining room table and rubbed at her eyes, still a bit tired. "I mean I'm positive they're fine." Viola shot Delphina reassuring smile, remembering the poor girls face only a few moments prior.

Raven

Raven had waited for the girls to go to bed before finally telling Everest good night and thank you for the watch before heading up to find a bedroom to crash in for himself. With her father being a politician it made sense that he would own a place so lavish and private. Raven was fairly... against modern politics but he was thankful for it at the moment.

In the morning Raven woke up to the sun peering in through the window in his room and couldn't help but almost forget about their stressful situation due to the beauty of the lake. After a while of admiring the view he finally made his way downstairs in his same clothes from the day before. Everyone else was already awake and Viola was speaking from her place at the table. His eyes moved to Delphina and his chest tightened a tiny bit. "Yuu and Castor will get everyone here safe. I'm sure of it." Raven was currently in a weird headspace about Yuu as a person but he had to admit the guy was mostly a good man.

"I was also wondering if there was a computer with internet access around here? I assume so but I didn't want to go snooping. If I can get access to my accounts for the library as well as my teaching portal I can get started on some research about the people who are after us. I mean it's all mythology of some form right? I can even try to look a bit more into history of reincarnation and such. See if I can get any working theories."

Nora

Before she could turn to go to the car Yuu was sliding the keys from her hand. Her cheeks heated slightly. "He looked out for her a lot in their past lives too, right? This wasn't just because of what happened? She'd be mortified if he seen her getting yelled at. Nora was frequently called perfect, she was beautiful, brilliant, proper, and sweet. Nora didn't want Yuu to know that her boyfriend was the one that made her so perfect, it was embarrassing. He always corrected her or straightened her out, like if she wasn't looking her best. Nora wanted Yuu to think she was naturally great.

Nora settled into the black leather passenger seat. Her face pressed to the glass as she leaned against it, her bright green eyes keeping an eye out for anything suspicious. She was quiet until she noticed both Castor and Marisol asleep. "He only gets angry when I mess up. I mean, I left the assembly yesterday and I didn't text him at all. I even look a mess, I'm in the same dress from yesterday and my makeup is practically gone. It's my fault." It didn't make sense when it came out her mouth. Why did it not sound right? Like that wasn't what she wanted? She wanted to smile and enjoy her life, not spending every minute wondering if she was looking or acting right.

"I'm going to stay up and keep watch, that okay?" With that said Nora hugged her knees to her chest as she watched trees and houses fly by. The whole drive there she felt all the guilt weighing on her, she was too focused on the guilt between her and her boyfriend, and the guilt of caring so much for Yuu and his opinions of her. Before they knew it Nora was hopping out of the car to put the pin Delphina sent her into the gate. Once they arrived at the house Nora bit her lip gently. This would probably be the last moment they had together right? He'd be back with Delphina. "I really really missed you Yuu. You were the first person that I ever considered a friend. I'm thankful just to be in your life." She gave him a shy smile before she shook both Castor and Marisol gently. "Time to wake up guys, we're here." Nora stood from the car and walked up the stairs, knocking on the door quickly. "Guys we're here, open up."

Delphina

"Morning." Delphina gave Everest a weak smile and walked to the kitchen. Swimming calmed how down but clearly she couldn't go out with such a giant thing on her stomach. Instead she was planning on cooking. Since Delphina frequently came to the lake house it was fairly stocked on food and necessities. She tossed on a polka dot apron and grabbed the ingredients to make chocolate chip pancakes. Because chocolate and carbs made every woman feel better, right? "Hm?" Delphina looked back at Viola as she made her way to the table with Everest. "I just couldn't sleep, too much on my mind. You're right, I'm sure they're fine." Castor was strong, Yuu was fast, Marisol was smart and, well, Nora was everything Delphina wasn't. Nora was everything Yuu wanted. That hurt her heart thinking about. Delphina was never good enough for anyone.

Well, except Raven. But he would never go for her again. "Yeah, because Yuu kept me so safe." Delphina hated herself for letting those words slip out. The mix between hurt and the fear she felt blocked her filter. "I, uh, I." Delphina cleared her throat before she started cooking the pancakes. "I'm sorry, it's the lack of sleep talking. Yuu told me they were fine, they should be here soon."

Delphina finished up the few stacks of pancakes rather quickly. She remembered cooking with Raven and studying recipes with him and it brought a smile to her face. "Oh, uh, yeah. I have my own study. Right down the hall." Delphina took off the apron after washing off her hands before motioning for Raven to follow her. "Come with me and I'll show you. Help yourselves guys, we'll be right back." With that said Delphina walked down a few hallways until they stopped at the large wooden double doors. "This is my study but you can use it, it's not like I use it much." She opened up the library and every wall was a bookcase and filled with books. None that really interested her, to be honest. There was a comfortable couch, a globe, a telescope, and a large oak desk with an custom high speed computer.

Delphina heard a knock and pulled out the app for her security system. A camera showed that it was Nora. It was a bittersweet moment. Her finger tapped the 'open door' button and she slid her phone back into the pocket. "Well, they're here." Delphina looked back at the door, terrified of facing Nora and Yuu. Delphina was terrible at lying. I'm okay. What a joke. She literally had something carved into her, she wasn't okay.

Castor

Castor was in the same boat as Marisol--tired as shit. He woke up, flipped Nora and Yuu the bird, and climbed into the back of the car. The leather seats were cool but the sun that was shining through the window was warm. Perfect napping weather.

On the way to the lake house the bumps in the road and all the twisting and turned had caused him to lean against her while he slept, though he didn't really notice he was in such a deep sleep. When Nora woke him up he let out a long groan. "Beer thirty?" His eyes cracked open slowly and he looked over to see himself leaning against Marisol. His cheeks lit up and he jumped up, giving a nervous chuckle. "S-Sorry Marisol. I didn't mean to crush you." Castor went to jump out of the car in a panic but managed to smack his head on the car. "Ouch, fuck." Castor swore as he closed the door behind him.

By the time he got up to the front door the door was already opening for them. He held his throbbing head as he entered the inside. "Shit Delphina, I forgot how rich your family was. Damn. Are those pancakes?! Marisol you want some pancakes!?" Castor was much more fun and outgoing in this life. It was crazy looking back and seeing what a depressed and angry guy he was.

Castor walked into the kitchen and grabbed a pancake, biting into it like it was a piece of toast. No plate, no syrup, no fork. He was a fraternity leader and he didn't like to do dishes. He also didn't like the smell of dishes, so he didn't use dishes most of the time.

Raven

“Oh my.” Raven had to keep himself from audibly gasping when Delphina opened the door to the study. It was better than the history departments. Although most books seemed to be on things that made sense for Delphinas father, it was her study but it seemed clear he stocked the shelves. The computer would do nicely though, and he could always print pdfs once his eyes strained from the light of the screen. “It’s perfect. Thank you for showing me the way.” He turned to give her a small smile but it fell when he saw her face.

“Are you not excited to see Yuu?” Raven couldn’t help himself from asking. Maybe it was selfish but it just slipped right out. She clicked something on her phone and mentioned them being here and he knew he was right the moment she placed her phone back in her pocket. “Delphina... I’m sure he will be happy to see you.” Raven swallowed his pride. “You’re a good couple in this life. I think that ever since you’ve gotten some of these memories back... it’s been me that’s hurting you.” He looked away and rubbed at his temple. “I don’t want you to be upset because of me. Ever. This feeling is confusing for me too. And it’s hard to be the bigger man and do the right thing.”

Down the hallway he turned to see the other half of the group coming in the door and let out a bit of a scoff at Castor’s carelessness. “Must be nice.” He sighed under his breath before turning back to Delphina and patting her on the head before turning and heading into the study to take a seat at the computer.

Marisol

Marisol woke up when the car came to a stop and Nora reaches back to give her a quick shake. She had gone to say something snarky but instead she was met with the realization of weight on her. “Hmm?” Her eyes fluttered open a bit to see Castor leaning against her arm and already slurring something about beer. Her own attitude betrayed her and she let out a small giggle. One that turned into a full out laugh when Castor smacked his head. Boys were a whole other breed. He was off before she could ask if he was okay, which despite her laughing, she actually did care.

Quickly she gathered herself and made her way inside, Viola was sitting at the table across from Everest and eating some pancakes. Marisol gave her friend a small wave and a half smile before her attention was drawn into the kitchen by Castor yelling her name. “Oh hell boy. Did you get a concussion? You just mentioned how rich Delphinas family is, I would assume that means they have plates.”

Marisol rolled her eyes and walked over to the fridge. “If you get me a plate and fork, I would love a pancake or two. And to sweeten the deal I’ll get you some ice for that bump on your head.” She opened the freezer and grabbed some ice, wrapping it up in a washcloth she grabbed off the counter. “Here.” She reached up and held the sad excuse for an ice pack against his head.

This was painfully familiar. Like they had almost done this exact thing before.

Marisol shook her head, causing some of her already wild yellow locks to come loose from the bun they were in. “Uh so what have you guys all done besides making pancakes? Any psycho sightings or just us walking in looking like someone scraped us off a bathroom floor.” Which is basically true. Locker room. Bathroom. Same smell.

Yuu

What Nora was saying made him a mixture of angry and heartbroken. “Nora no. Just stop.” He looked over at her out of the corner of his eye to avoid taking his eyes off the road. “You can’t blame yourself for that. No real man would yell at his significant other for forgetting to text or not looking picture perfect.” He reached over before he really knew what he was doing and grabbed her hand tightly in his. “Don’t let other people dictate how you dress and act. You’re great without trying so hard. You don’t need anything extra. People who love and appreciate you will love you no matter what. Hell, Delphina and I spend half our time in sweaty athletic gear and cracking jokes at each other and I still love her.”

Yuu hadnt meant to say that but he did and suddenly guilt hit him like a fucking brick to the stomach. It was like there was two of him fighting this losing battle within his body and neither of them could win. He had to admit that he still felt like he loved Delphina as a friend now... but that didn’t just erase everything between them. But he also couldn’t erase how he felt about Nora. How his hand around hers felt both so right and so wrong.

After a few moments of silence he finally pulled his hand away and focused on driving once again. Soon enough they were at the house and Nora spoke up once more. It broke his heart in two. “Yeah, you too Nora. I can’t even explain what you mean to me.”

They all got out of the car and as they reached the door Yuu suddenly realized how nervous and anxious he was to see Delphina. The last time he actually saw her it was bad and then they got separated by those assholes in black. He knew she was okay but he needed to see it...

Inside his eyes instantly scanned the room and saw some people eating and noticed both raven and Delphina were missing. But that’s when he noticed her at the end of the hall. His feel moved before he made the conscious decision and before he knew it his arms were wrapped around her from behind, picking her up and swinging her in a circle like they had done a million times before. He set her down and buried his face into her neck before letting out a heavy sigh. “I’m so happy to see you okay.”

Delphina

Raven's words made her heart shatter and tears form in her eyes. She didn't feel bad because of him, she adored him. She felt bad because of the lack of adoration she felt for Yuu. Yuu was similar to Delphina in so many way, they were fun and energetic and flirts. Since the moment she stepped foot in Raven's class she was drawn to someone serious and smart. The memories they had? They only made those feelings stronger. Seeing Raven like this broke her heart and made her forget about everyone's present situation.

Suddenly searing pain was shooting throughout her abdomen and into her soul. Someone had picked her up and spun her around. Yuu? She couldn't tell, the pain made her tense up and nearly black out. "Ah! Let go!" Tears burned her eyes as she pushed herself away from Yuu. She stumbled on the hardwood floor and fell onto her backside. She felt the wounds being ripped open. The way Yuu spun her made her shirt slide up a little bit and revealed part of the large symbol on her stomach, the blood steadily dripping.

"O-Oh, Yuu. Y-Yeah I'm fine. This house is really safe, and didn't you see the lake? It's huge." Delphina whimpered quietly and slid her shirt back down, the blood seeping into her shirt. "I made pancakes, they're in the kitchen." If she changed the subject he'd forget about the bleeding and tears, right?

Nora

Everything he was saying both made sense and broke her heart. In the last life they had been close and they would hang out all the time. They had fun and she never was made to feel inferior. But then Yuu said the word. Just one word, yet such a powerful word. That was the nail in the coffin for Nora. Love. Maybe it was the 'still loved her' portion that broke her heart, but either way she just felt like a fool for even thinking they had a chance in this life. She had him in the last one, she couldn't have him in everyone...no matter how strong her feelings for him was. She would just have to swallow them down deep and avoid Yuu at all costs. That would fix the hurt right?

"Delphina?" She heard a thump as she watched Delphina's pink hair crash to the ground. "Delphina!" Nora quickly wiped the tear away from her eye as she ran to her old friends side. Blood was being soaked into her clothes and pooling on the ground. "Delphina just stay still, I have to look at the wound." Nora slowly pulled up the black soaked shirt and winced slightly at the wound. The lines of the wound made it look like it was drawn on. The lines were so clean though, it looked like some laser did it. "Someone get me some towels and supplies." Nora pulled the shirt back down to hide the wound. Her hands pressed against the wounds to try to stop the bleeding, Nora's hands already covered in the Delphina's blood.

"Did one of those hunter guys do this to you?" Nora looked over at Delphina's pained face with a curious expression. How and when did they do this? It must have been instant.

Castor

"I don't like doing dishes, it all goes to the same place." Castor deposited the rest of his pancake before he turned to the many cupboards. "Fine, if you insist." He opened one after another cupboard before he found the ones with fancy plates. "Aha!" He spun around and tossed two pancakes on it before grabbing a fork. That was when Marisol put ice on his head. His face heated up a bright red. He traded the plate of pancakes for the ice pack and he gave her a sweet smile. "Uh, thanks. That does help actually." Where he smacked his head was all swollen and red, but being the quarterback he was used to it.

That's when he heard the scream from the hallway. "Marisol stay behind me, I got this!" Were they being attacked? Castor grabbed the cooking pan and ran towards the scream ready to attack them guys in black. Only it wasn't the guys in black. Yuu was standing there and Delphina was laying on the ground with Nora pressing hard on her stomach. There was a lot of blood. Like, enough blood that made Castor uncomfortable. He stumbled back and looked like he was about to pass out. "I...I...What happened?"

Blood made Castor queasy for some reason, it always had. Perhaps a past trauma? He had no clue but he was about to topple over.

Everest

Everest had been sitting quietly, and awkwardly, at the table with Viola as they ate the pancake plates he brought to the table. One for him, one for her. He greeted Castor and Marisol as they entered and got some pancakes. When Delphina yelled though Everest was on his feet. He ran quickly to the hallway and froze at all the blood. Delphina was bleeding profusely and Nora was covered in her blood as she tried to stop the bleeding. Everest forced himself to run to the bathroom and dig through the cupboards to find some supplies.

Once back at the group he dropped all the towels he could hold in one arm, six, and a few packages. Some bandages, some wraps, gauze, disinfectant, and an emergency pack that had things one would need in an emergency. This was an emergency. "Do we need anything else? I've never seen so much blood." At least, not in this life time. The sudden thought turned his stomach.

"Delphina how did this happen? We've been together the whole time.." Did it happen while they were running? She was the first to go...

Viola

When Everest jumped to his feet from across the table, Viola was soon to follow. What the heck was going on? As she rounded the corner and saw the blood she let out a gasp and took a few steps closer. “Holy shit.” The words escaped with the breath that was pushed out of her body with the shock. Everest has a point , when did this happen?

“When I got stuck.” Viola blurted suddenly and a memory caused a growl to start in her throat. She hadn’t noticed that the wounds were in a specific pattern, she simply noticed that they were there. And she had earned someone not to give her a weapon when she wasn’t trained with one! “Raven!” She growled and slid past everyone to glare at him from the doorway into the study. “I told you not to give her that knife and now look!”

Viola looked back at the poor girl on the floor before kneeling down and peering over at Nora. “Nora these look like they need stitches... we might have to take her somewhere. I don’t know if any of us should really be handling a medical procedure like this.” At the very least they needed to slow the bleeding and get the wound cleaned.

Raven

Raven had jumped up at the sound of Delphina screaming at Yuu to let her go. At first he thought that he just spooked her but it wasn’t until he heard Nora screaming that he ran over to the doorway. There was so much blood. “D-Delphina?” He went to move closer but suddenly his view was obstructed by a very very angry Viola.

“What are you talking about?!” Raven was suddenly very angry and very forgetful that he was half these kids elder, their teacher. “Yeah because now seems like a good time to get an ego about how right you always are. Fucking move.” He sidestepped Viola and sent her back a glare, “I gave her a knife sure but I’m not the one that ripped the wounds fucking open. She was fine until he showed up.” A lot of old feelings were surfacing and Raven didn’t care. Not right now.

Raven sat on the other side of Delphina from Yuu and glared at him for a moment before casting his eyes downward to the wound. That wasn’t done with a pocket knife for sure. That thing was too clean, the shape it was in was strange too. “I apologize that this is insensitive but just in case the shape gets messed up healing...” Raven pulled his phone out and quickly took a photo before sliding it into the pocket. “So I can look it up later....”

Everest returned with supplies and Viola mentioned medical attention. While he agreed that no one here was on paper ready to offer medical services... he also knew that right now they were vulnerable. Whoever did this to Delphina would know she was hurt... they would probably assume she’d end up at some sort of medical care.

“Wait Nora you’re pre med right.... have you had any experience yet?” Raven swallowed hard and looked over at his student with pleading eyes. Guilt was hurting him. He was suppose to protect her and he didn’t. This happened on his watch.

Marisol

The yelling made Marisol jump, she then stood in shock as she watched Castor grab a frying pan and head off down the hallway. Was he fucking rapunzel? In a different situation she would crack a joke out loud but in the real world outside her fucked up mind, someone was screaming for real. She followed cautiously around the corner, catching a glimpse of the scene before her before Castors form wobbled in front of her.

Marisol was studying to work in the criminal justice field, she had seen photos and videos of scenes similar to this one. That also meant she knew that some people couldn’t handle that sight.

“Shit Castor, you okay?” Her hands wrapped around his arm and moved it around her shoulder before then wrapping her arms around his torso. “Hey come on let’s have you turn around okay? We don’t need another medical emergency.” She peered back at the others, Everest and Nora really seemed to have it under control even with Viola and Raven going at it. She eyed the look that Yuu and Raven gave each other and let out a quick scolding. “Don’t any of you fucks dare stress that poor girl out more or I will personally see to it that you hurt more than she is.”

With that she turned and did her best to push and pull Castor over to the couch. “Come on lets take a seat.” She fell back against the couch before finally letting go and moving so that she could peer down into his face. “You going to be okay you big bad frat boy? Or are you going to let some glorified ketchup take you down.” Her harsh joke didn’t meet her face, she held a small smirk but concerned eyes as she pushed his hair back. “You’re just a mess today.”

Yuu

When Delphina pushed him away he faltered for a moment, “Delphina I’m sorry I didn’t mean to freak you out... I just thought....” his voice trailed off as he looked over at her finally, realizing what was really wrong. Without thinking he dropped to his knees and cradled her head on his lap, before he could even yell for help Nora was there.

“Delphina... the house is great and you’re an amazing cook but doll you’re bleeding. That’s all I’m worried about right now okay?” He pushed back some of her pink locks from her face and swallowed back tears. This was his fault in more ways than one. If he hadn’t walked away from her in that house he would have been with her. If he had been more brave and fought his way over there he could have been with her. If he hadn’t been more concerned about Nora.... it was shameful! This was his fault! He was the one that picked her up and agitated whatever wounds there were. He hadn’t even looked at them yet, his eyes were locked on her face. “I’m so sorry Del. For so much.”

When Viola stormed past and began yelling he felt a fire in his stomach. A knife? Did those people use it against her to prove a point? Raven started yelling and Yuu couldn’t help but scoff at the irony. Didn’t he just get done telling Nora that real men didn’t yell at women? Fuck. He was angrier than the devil when he was cast out of heaven but was he yelling? Not yet.

When Raven sat down and pulled out his phone Yuu snapped. “Still more concerned about your studies huh professor?” Yuu growled and refused to look the idiot in the face. He knew why he was taking the photo but at this point he would take any shot he could. He then choose to mention Nora’s name and just hearing him say it made Yuus hair stand on end. “Of course she has. She’s more than capable I’m sure. Right Nora?” Yuu finally looked up and over at Nora. He trusted her. She was a bright woman. “Please...”

Marisol scolded them and Yuu went red in the face. She had a point. The two of them fighting would make Delphina sad. So for now he shut his trap once more and returned his focus to letting her hair.

Nora

"I-I can take care of her, taking her to the hospital is dangerous. There's a lot of people there and we don't know who's on our side." Nora watched as Raven took the picture before she got back to work on Delphina. "You all just need to calm down or leave. Okay?" Nora pat the blood off of her Delphina before rooting around the emergency kit. Gloves? Not very useful at this point. Nora's hands were already covered in blood, yet they moved swiftly and calmly as they grabbed the stitch kit and some sterilization wipes.

Nora was pre-med, her goal was to be a surgeon. No matter under what harsh circumstance her hands always remained steady. This? This had her shaking a little bit. "Alright Delphina, you ready?" Nora bit at her lip as she pressed the needle into the skin. Quickly and efficiently she stitched up ever single line in her skin. Delphina was probably already faint from the blood loss, Nora had to be quick.

After it was all said and done Nora leaned back and wiped off some of the blood onto her already blood soaked dress. "Let's get her to the couch, she needs to rest so I can monitor her."

--

Nora came downstairs after a long shower dressed in a pair of black jeans and a blue tan top, a blue headband pushing her long brown locks out of her face. The unconscious Delphina was finally out of the woods after a few hours of consistently monitoring her pulse and blood pressure so Nora went and took a well deserved shower. It was already night time, she could feel a long yawn pass her lips as she walked into the parlor where Delphina was laying. "Is she still sleeping?"

Delphina

Everything around Delphina was humming. Her vision was fading in and out due to blood loss and the pain. Yuu was saying words to her and she couldn't make them out, Viola was yelling and so was Raven and Yuu. She didn't know what was happening. She did notice the little girl in brown hair getting ready to stitch her up though. Delphina tried to mumble a thank you but it was inaudible. Delphina was cold, she wanted a blanket. "Cold." The girl let out a small whimper when she heard Raven's voice next to her. She tried to sit up to see him but only was able to lift her head. Her head fell back and landed in Raven's lap. As soon as the needle pierced her skin she lost consciousness and stopped squirming.

Suddenly Delphina's long lashed eyes bat open. Was it night time already? Why was she on the couch? She went to sit up but winced sharply, her hand weakly covering her abdomen as she laid back down. "Ow..." That's right, Yuu picked her up. He didn't mean to bust open the wounds, it wasn't his fault. But did Viola say something about the knife? "The knife's on my night stand..." Her blue eyes glanced over at Nora as she walked in. "Thanks for stitchin' me up doc. I'll give you free athletic counseling for a whole year for saving my life." A small smile formed on her lips.

Nearly dying made her realize something. No matter how much time left in this world she was going to go out happy. She wanted to live her life as happy as possible. The first thing that came to her mind was Raven. She wanted Yuu to be happy too, but she knew that Yuu wasn't the best option for her. She could see the two being best friends but, romantically, she never really felt that connection to him. God that was an awful thing to say about your boyfriend.

"Glorified ketchup? Did you see that shit? there was a pool of blood man. That's shit that keeps you kickin', you lose too much of that and you die. Right?" That's what happened right? "Fuck man, puke I can deal with any day but blood." His arms got the shivers at the thought. Castor tried to regain his composure as Marisol helped him to the couch. He wanted to be of some use to Delphina and help her through this but with that much blood? He couldn't. It was too much. "Thanks, Marisol. I don't know how you do it. Seeing so much blood and keeping a level head, I mean. Everyone back there is biting each other heads off like animals and I'm fainting like a scared goat."

Castor looked around as he looked over at Marisol. Why did she always make his gut tighten and his heart skip a beat? "You didn't get hurt by anything did you?" Honestly he wouldn't be able to live with himself if she did get hurt. He said he'd protect her and he didn't go back on his word ever.

Since Castor couldn't be around all the blood he patrolled the house and property. He didn't stray too far, just around the house to make sure no one was creeping. Thankfully the creepiest thing he ran in to was a deer that gave him a funny look. He found the boat house and the two boats inside. One was a huge boat that you could probably live in and the other was a speed boat. That would come handy in an escape, if cars weren't available. There was also a garage with a Cadillac and Mustang. Jesus, they just left those laying around?

Once the sun started to go down Castor returned to the inside of the house. "Hey guys wan't me to order some pizzas? I'm starving, and I'm sure Delphina will be hungry when she wakes up." Castor walked into the parlor and gave a small wave to the tired looking Delphina. "Hey, she's alive guys. Hey chicka welcome back."

Everest

The tension in the house was very high. Viola couldn't look at Raven, Raven wouldn't look at basically anyone, and Yuu was just off too. Castor was patrolling since he couldn't see the blood. Once they had gotten Delphina to the couch Everest did his best to clean the blood off of the floor and the walls. There was a small red stain to it but a rug could easily be tossed there, he wasn't too concerned. He was concerned for all of his students--friends?

After the hours spent cleaning Everest busied himself with cooking dinner for everyone. He asked Viola to help, hoping that it would take her mind off of the knife. The cuts were clean and looked like it was stenciled onto her. A knife wouldn't work that quick. It was weird, Everest was a counselor but sometimes he felt like a warrior. He saw the same in Viola, a kindred warrior spirit. There was frozen chicken he thawed and made chicken fettuccine with garlic bread. Maybe that would make them all feel better? At least until Delphina woke up. They wouldn't have answers until then so the group had to sit and wait. He could at least make sure they weren't hungry.

"No pizza, dinner is ready. It's fettuccine-" He blinked widely as he walked in and seen an awake Delphina. "Delphina, good to see you awake. Mind telling us what happened to your stomach?" Everest didn't really beat around the bush. They needed to know what, who, how, and when.

Marisol

“Well if I want to work as a PI one day I’m going to have to be okay with some gruesome shit.” Marisol let out a long sigh as she realized he was okay and flopped back into the couch they were on. “I’ve seen a lot worse than that already. The symbol on her is almost occult like...” she spaced for a moment before turning back to him with a smirk, “Me hurt? Nah. I’m tough remember.”

The others all kind of did their own things while waiting for Delphina to wake up. Castor went on a patrol to get away from the carnage and Marisol stayed inside to get a shower and a change of clothes. She had found a bedroom and taken off the jacket, placing it on the foot of her bed before heading into Delphinas bedroom to steal some clothes and a shower.

Something about one of them getting injured like that was really ringing familiar in her head and freaking her out. This whole vague feeling rather than a real memory thing was really starting to give her a head ache.

Marisol stood in the shower for a long time, after sleeping on the floor of the locker room she felt like she needed a power wash honestly. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead against the wall of the shower and her stomach because to turn. Her eyes opened slowly and all she could see was blood running off her and down the drain. She almost let out a scream but clamped a hand over her mouth to stop the sound. Frantically she looked all around but then she noticed that everything but the blood was gray. Another memory? She held her hands out in front of her and watched as the water washed away blood that wasn’t hers and her fingers trembled. Then color was back and the water was clear once more. Someone had also almost died once and it was a recollection that hurt her deeply.

Marisol got out of the shower and got dressed quickly, not wanting to be alone anymore. She pulled on a pair of plaid pajama pants she had found and a plain black t shirt before heading back downstairs with her dripping hair resting on her shoulders.

“Oh Delphina you’re awake. I’m glad.” Marisol gave her a small smile as she walked past and towards the smell of food. When Everest spoke to Delphina so directly she couldn’t help but wince a little. “Yikes man you’re supposed to be a counselor, your bedside manner is rough.” She rolled her eyes and went to go get food. Marisol filled two plates and moved to the living room to set one next to Delphina before stealing a spot on one of the recliners.

Castor was behind her a bit and she went to turn and whisper a joke about plates. The only problem was that when her gray eyes fell on him all she saw was a flash of his serpent body laying in a pool of blood and she nearly dropped her plate on the ground. “Whoops. Clutz.” She waved off her memory and turned back around in her seat, shoving a bite of food in her mouth and deciding to focus on the potted plant in the corner of the room.
