The Real Us (Private)

Kaoru jumped out of his seat and looked at the boxes as they came in. He was trying to find the ones that had their costumes in it. Once he found it, he took away from the helper and put it on the table. "Come on Hikaru! Let's be the first ones with their costumes on." He grinned and looked evilly at Tamaki and his brother and him came up with the same time and spoke in unison. "The first one in their costume gets to spend the weekend with Haruhi." Haruhi protested as they took off.

Kyouya glanced at Kaoru, as he started digging through boxes. Never mind that they had hours until they had to be in them. He turned, going to take care of the rest of the peperations while the twins and tamaki caused a ruckus int he background. He directed the workers, glancing occasionally at the 'competition.' While they where working he made his way back, watching with slight amusement. Costumes were what you would expect. Tamaki: a prince, twins: jesters, Honey: a noble outfit and Mori: A knight. He wasn't too worried about his own he would be the last one to be dressed, and not several hours early.

As he pulled out their costumes, he sent a glare over to Kyouya. "Hey! Is this supposed to be some sort of joke!?" He waved the costume in the air before laughing and taking off with his brother to get changed. Tamaki was close behind them. A few minutes later they came back in. Tamaki was pouting as the Kaoru sang in unison with his brother. "We get to spend time with Haruhi. We get to spend time with Haruhi!"

Kyouya glanced over at Kaoru, shaking his head a bit at his comment, it suited them, and the girls would love it. He watched them run to the changing rooms, giving a few more instructions before watching them run out. It didn't surprise him really... Tamaki did have a more complex outfit, and was probably having trouble with it. He shook his head a bit as they roped Haruhi into a weekend with them. Tamaki would get over it as soon as he had something else to occupy his mind. And then he would follow them around all next weekend to see what happened.

Honestl, Kaoru didn't really care whether it was Tamaki or them that won. However, he did know that his brother wanted the weekend with Haruhi and possibly he could get them to go a weekend alone somewhere. He just wouldn't tell Tamaki that. That would leave him alone though and he doubted that Kyouya would like him being over for the whole weekend. He sighed at the thought of being alone, but then he also remembered he was getting to go to Kyouya's house today which made him happy. That was something he couldn't understand.

Kyouya finished getting the room set up, each host having their own area. He glanced back at the rest of the club, which was still playing around. He walked over, watching with amusement. They were quite entertaining, regardless of how stupid they might act. As club got closer he went to change and came back out. "You have 10 minutes." He told them with a sigh.

"10 minutes? Come on, Hikaru let's go to our set area. You'll get to spend time with Haruhi later." He teased him as they went over to their area. They pushed and joked and prodded at each other as they sat and waited for their usual ladies to come over to them. He glanced over at Kyouya and smiled a bit before looking away.

Kyouya watched them, shaking his head a bit before heading to his own area. As the door opened the squealing of the girls could be heard as they stepped inside. "Good afternoon ladies." He greeted before they made their way to their own areas, Kyouya with his and the other with their own.

Kaoru knew that his brother would eventually notice that he was beginning to feel something for the Dark Prince, but Kaoru wouldn't fully admit that to himself. Hikaru had mentioned it only once before keeping shut about it. Kaoru shook his head in defiance and they went about entertaining their guests with their usually routine. Except of course they incorporated it into their theme that they had.

Sometimes it amazed him how easily their guests were appeased, but he didn't mind, entertaining them as he always did. He was still mentally wondering what in the world possessed him to actually invite Kaoru to his home, to his sanctuary. None of his family was around so he supposed he didn't worry about that but he didn't invite them. The club had been there ones and that was uninvited, only tamaki had been there twice... and both times uninvited.

Today Kaoru had seemed rather bored with entertaining their guests. He did his job though. He knew Kyouya would take back his invitation if he knew that he slacking at all during their interaction. He did his best to not seem bored, but every now and again he would find himself looking at the clock, wanting to the school day to be over so he could go to his house.

Girls came and left, in his spare time Kyouya went back to the budget. The amount of sweets they went though never seemed to stop frustrating him. seriously... no one else thought about how they were actually getting the money for stuff like this. As club ended he sighed, stretching and bidding his last guests good bye. Another day successful, that was promising.

To be honest Kaoru didn't like sweets, but the girls seemed to like it when Hikaru fed them to him. So that is what they did most of the time. The girls squealing and doing their usual thing. When it was time for them to leave, they brothers had simply bowed and wished their guests a wonderful rest of the day. He was the first one to go back to the changing rooms and change back into his uniform. Of course the tie was hanging loose since he didn't feel like putting it on all the way. A few buttons undone and it had Haruhi bickering at him to put it on right. He did one button and then continued on his way with a triumphant smile. He walked over to Kyouya, "Am I riding with you? Or do you want me to come at a later time?"

Kyouya had to make sure all the decorations got taken down, changing as soon as he could, no one even saw him change before he was direction people to get all the props out of here. He glanced back at Kaoru, shrugging. "You can ride with me." He told him. "It doesn't really matter but since we're both going there may as well." He pointed out.

Well this was definitely going to be strange. Riding in a car with Kyouya alone, and going over to his house, Alone. That didn't mean anything. They were just friends anyway. He was just going over there so that he could get to know the other better. But why did he even want to get to know the other better? For a while now he had been okay with just knowing what he did. Kaoru looked at him and smiled with his usual devilish smile and nodded. "Sounds like a plan to me."

Kyouya nodded as he finished things up, packing up his stuff and glancing back at Kaoru. "I don't know what you expect from you trip but I can't promise anything." He told him as he got his stuff together and headed for the door. The other were also leaving... well slowly making their way towards the door.

Kaoru had told his brother he was actually going over to Kyouya's so his brother decided he would hang out with one of the others. Grabbing his bag, he followed after Kyouya. "What are you talking about? We're just some friends going to your house to hang out a little bit. What more should I have been expecting?"

Kyouya glanced at him and shrugged. In all honestly he didn't 'hang out.' so what he expected to do was beyond him. He didn't really relax, even when by himself so he supposed the evening would work itself out. "Just... warning you ahead of time." He told him, sliding into the car that had come to pick him up, leaning back in the seat.

Kaoru waved to his brother before he got into the car with him. Awkwardly he leaned on the window and looked out as he waited for the car to take them to his house. He was silent the whole time, which was sort of uncharacteristic of him, but he wasn't entirely sure what he was supposed to be saying. He glanced over at Kyouya as they headed to his home.

Kyouya was content to sit in silence, staring at the familiar scenery. This was when his quite time started... though he supposed today was different, he was bringing someone to his house. Do do what? He wasn't sure... He know how to keep a conversation in a social setting but at home he sat on his computer, calculating and planning... things that didn't involve others.

Kaoru knew that he was a quiet person, but he hadn't realized just how quiet he was. He turned his attention fully to the other as he watched him. This was his time where he could just observe Kyouya and try to learn something about him. He knew so much about them, but they knew hardly anything about him except for the basic stuff. To be honest it kind of annoyed him, but here he was being to watch Kyouya when he wasn't looking and calculating.

Kyouya knew he was being watched, it was hard not to feel Kaoru's stares in the small car, but he didn't mention it, he didn't seem to care. Finally he spoke. "What is it you are so curious about? You see me every day." He sighed, adjusting his glasses and looking over at him. "They way you're staring me down i feel like you've never seen me a day before in your life."

Kaoru quickly looked away and back out the window when he looked over, he hoped hadn't caught the slightest tint of a blush on his face. "I normally see you working on that computer or doing something that has to do with the club. I don't usually see you just acting a normal teenager. I know you have a lot to prove and all that, but what is the point of it all, if you don't have some sort of fun every now and again."

Kyouya glanced over at him as he spoke. "A normal teenager he repeated slowly. Well... He wasn't a normal teenager, he couldn't really afford to be could he? "You want me to run around like an idiot like the rest of you?" He raised an eyebrow. He wasn't being offensive by that. "I do have fun... In my own way. It just doesn't look... Normal." He said slowly. "I don't expect you to understand..." He sighed.

"Running around like we do isn't the only way to have fun. And having fun doesn't always make you look like an idiot. The only thing I see you do is poor work into that computer of yours. Of course, I wouldn't be able to understand because you never talk to any of us about it. I wor... We worry about your health and everything. What good are friends if you can't talk to them, Kyouya-Senpai?" He continued to stare out the window as he spoke.
