Fantasy The Random Hotel

Sky woke up at the crack of dawn. I guess I'm too used to this. She rolled out of bed and jumped into the shower, loving the rhythmic drumming on her back. The shower wasn't necessary, but she couldn't get the smell of the wolf-girl out of her nose, and a shower often helped clear her sinuses. It wasn't that she disliked werewolves-she had a friend who was one about 50 years before-but she just could never get over how powerful their scent was. I wonder what I smell like to her, she thought. After getting out of the shower, she pulled a new pair of skinny jeans on and a black sweater over that. Then, she laced up her converse and grabbed her key, going out the door.

In the hallway, she shut the door behind her and locked it. She walked warily downstairs, on the lookout for other people. There's probably no one up at this time, she hoped, not wanting to get involved with anyone until after she ate. The receptionist smiled as she walked past and Sky nodded. As soon as she was out the door, she ran down the road to the nearest stretch of woods. Once there, she extended her teeth and went hunting.

Ajax walked down to the reception area after hearing someone talking to the receptionist. He rubbed his eyes a bit, he was tired, but not too tired.

"Weren't you just talking to someone" He said.

Gu began very calmly, "Yes, there was a woman that just went out to take a walk or something, pretty sure that she was a Vampire."

There was a silence for a moment, then Ajax replied calmly and crudely, "You've seen seen some real shit, haven't you?"

Gu stared back at Ajax and nodded lightly.

Ajax took a seat nearby, he needed to make sure that the Vampire wasn't a threat. His experience with Vampires has been pretty good for the most part, one of his old friends is a Vampire, oh that Chuck, nice guy, thought Ajax. He knows how dangerous they can be, however, like that one time that he watched Chuck run down a wild boar and tear out it's throat with his teeth. Ajax patted his sliver bladed rapier in confidence that he could handle any real conflict that ran his way.

Sky finished her meal quickly and cleanly, used to not getting dirty after a few mistakes a long time ago. The sun was getting higher in the sky and she knew some people would be getting up by now. I'll hurry back and maybe avoid any interactions, she thought hopefully. Making her way through the woods and back up the road, she knew that she'd run into someone sooner or later, and steeled herself for a conversation when she got back into the hotel. The doors made no sound as she entered the reception. Once inside, she looked around the room and spotted a small... man sitting in a chair and holding a sword. She walked slowly around the chair and avoided eye contact, attempting to not start a confrontation.

Later in the morning Luna rolled out of bed. she looked around "wow so last night wasn't a dream.." a smile came to her face as she headed down to the main floor in a ratty tank-top and shorts. she sniffed the the air and smelled some meat. cooked rare. at this her stomach growled rather loudly. she was hurridly heading followed the scent when that weird scent of werecat and vampire hit her again. she turned her head and saw the woman and the really short guy again she was about to say hi when she saw the silver rapier causing her to freeze. the instinctual fear of silver kicked in causing her to slowly back away hoping not get noticed towards the cafeteria.

Ajax stood up and smirked.

"Hey, Miss, you missed a spot up here." rubbing the top of his right cheekbone.

He leaned a bit on his rapier still in it's sheathe.

"What's your name Ma'am? And do you know her?" Ajax said, pointing backwards, without even looking at Luna.

"She's a Vampire too, right, or perhaps a werewolf? I have heard someone in that direction sniffing for the last few minutes, and now, this person is very close."

He turns around to see a petrified Luna, "Definitely a Vampire, too pale to be much else."

He sized her up a bit and said,"You look like you haven't eaten in days, if you want we can go out and catch you some Badger. A dear friend of mine, Chuck, really loved Badger. He really liked those muscly animals." He nonchalantly rests his hand on the top of his rapier, ready to react, to either of hem.

Sky narrowed her eyes and looked at the small man. "The name's Sky. No, I don't know her, but she smells like a wolf. I'm sure she was just on her way to eat something before you stopped her." She sized the man up and asked, "What are you? You're not human, I know that. But I've never smelt anything like you before."

And that's a first, she thought.

she freezes and turns around stutters out eyes keeping track of the rapier "I-I'm a-a werewolf...p-pale s-skin i-is natural...w-was g-going t-to s-say h-hi o-on m-my w-way t-to g-get b-breakfast. i-i s-smelled s-some r-rare m-meat..."

Ajax lightly hit himself in the head, "GOD! I'm a idiot!" He yelled, "How did I not see that before? Sorry to call you a Vampire, I haven't had much experience with Werewolves to be honest." He rubbed the back of his neck, disappointed with himself.

He turned to the white haired woman and said, "Isn't it obvious? I'm a circus midget!", quite jokingly.

He got slightly more serious and said, "I'm a Halfling, we aren't too common around these parts. I come from a far off place."

He turns back to the Werewolf,"Well, doesn't matter to me if you're a Vampire or Werewolf, Chuck still liked to eat Badgers. Want to go for a hunt? I've been awfully stir crazy lately." Then he rubbed his hands together in anticipation.

"i-i'm g-good. j-just g-going to grab s-some food f-from th-the cafeteria. m-my i-inner b-beast l-likes hunting b-but i-it m-may a-add y-you t-to th-the p-prey." she says "and don't worry about the mix up. it's fine." she relaxes alittle pretty sure the silver rapier wasn't going to come for her and quieting that instinctual worry.

Sky raised an eyebrow at the Halfling's humor. Circus midget? she asked herself. With a shake of her head, she glanced at the two people in front of her. "I think I'll just... be going now," she said to both of them, attempting again to leave the reception. "I guess I'll see you guys... some other time?" I hope not, she thought coldly.

"Alright, alright... If you don't want to hunt, I won't make you hunt. Do you, I suppose. " He says calmly, still leaning on his rapier.

"Now, off to cafeteria with you. You look starved. If you need any money, I can spot you for a meal." he says, patting his sack of coins.

Ajax turned around to Sky," Alrighty, so long Miss. ... What is your name, Miss what?" He knew she want to leave but still wanted to size her up a bit, so he attempted to pull her back into conversation.

"Umm, Skylar Izumi. But I really prefer it when people call me Sky," she narrowed her eyes again to make a point. She glanced at the wolf girl as she left and envied her. Obviously, this man was trying to get her to talk with him. Then, she asked, "What's your name?" If only to be courteous and to find out more about the type of people here.

He took a small step forward and raised his left hand to push back his hair from his face. He looked up at Sky, and began, "They call me Ajax... And you still have a bit of blood up there." He said, once again brushing his right cheekbone.

Sky sighed and wiped the place that Ajax gestured to, licking up the smear it left on her hand. "Thanks. Usually I clean up better than that." She glanced at the silver rapier and asked, "So, why do you carry that around?"

she was about to enter when she called over "I'm Luna, Luna Dezmond. nice to meet'cha Sky." she smiled and headed in. geting in she piled on some rare cooked meat and chowed down hungrily. she looked around as she did seeing some more unusual food probably to serve the non-human clientele though it is abit disguised. she wondered if there was one around.

Ajax tapped the top of the hilt and said with a sinister grin,"One could never know when one may need it." He chuckled a bit and took a few steps back, gripping the handle slightly tighter than before.

His pointy ears perked and he broke out of his trance, "Sounds like someone found food." He said, looking in the direction where the Werewolf left.

Sky smirked at the sword and Ajax's attitude, starting to like the man. She looked at where he was looking and nodded. "You know, she was probably just scared because that weapon is made of silver. You know, the werewolves' weakness and all that. I'd be just as scared if-" She stopped herself before she could reveal any secrets. I can't let my words slip like that. I don't know if I can trust him yet.

"-If I were me." He said soon after Sky cut herself off. He grinned slightly sinisterly and said,"Sorry Ma'am, you seemed to need some help with your sentence." He chuckled a bit and walked away. He didn't want to admit it, but he was quite tired. He walked all the way back to his room, opened the door, walked in, then locked the door behind him. he threw his sack of coins in the corner, then his clothes on top of them. He turned around nearly naked and saw the girl fell unconscious the night before, "Man, what's up with that one." He muttered. He put on his pajamas and laid on the couch, his rapier lying to his right. "Well, goodnight me." He said to himself.

Sky glared at Ajax's response to her abrupt end of sentence and watched him walk down the hall. What a weird creature. I wonder where he came from? She decided to go back to her room and read something from her poetry book. Inside the dark room, she suddenly had an idea. She dialed 92 and asked if there was anywhere she could play piano. The line went dead just after and Sky stared at the phone, curiously. Ten minutes later, a knock on the hotel room door announced someone's arrival. Sky opened the door and two of the maids came in, bringing with them a small-ish keyboard that was just the right size for her playing and could fit in her room. When they were done, she thanked them and they left. Then, she sat down to play.

Again, Sha'tana woke up in her demon form. She was feeling lazy today and decided to remain in her natural form. She stretched in bed, and forced herself out. She went into her closet and grabbed some casual jeans with a white button up top. First, Sha'tana went to the reception, "Any news, Gu?" Gu's shadow shrugged, and Gu shook his head. "Alright, you know where to find me." Sha'atana was really hungry, so she went to the Esperia restaurant. "Table for one, please." Robot 83 took a menu and escorted Sha'tana to her seat. "The usual drink," she said casually. 83 nodded and went to the kitchen.

Casey rolled out of her bed with a thump. Grumbling about having been having a good dream, she got up, got dressed, and walked, half-asleep, down to the hotel's restaurant.

((I'm ba~ack~!))

The green haired girl sat up rather abruptly, staring around the room she was in with wide eyes. After a moment she shrugged, standing up and getting her clothes, hardly taking notice of the almost naked halfling asleep on the couch. He must have been really tired... Or maybe she was just being really quiet? Either way, the young girl pulled her dress on and walked out of the room, carefully closing the door behind her. Smelling food coming from somewhere in the building, she followed her nose and flew off on her pretty butterfly wings, until she found the place with the food and skipped inside. "Good morning!" She half-shouted a greeting to anyone and everyone that was within hearing range.

Casey took a seat next to Sha'tana. She was very sleepy, and so she didn't notice exactly what she was sitting next to.

"Morning," she mumbled to no one in particular.

Sha'tana saw two guests enter the premises of the restaurant. 'Good morning!' the girl with green hair said. Sha'tana waved in reply. An orange haired lady sleepily sat next to her unknowingly. Poor 83 seemed confused, but gave the girl a menu anyway. "Hi there," Sha'tana said with a smile. She then looked at the green haired girl and asked, "Did any of your memory come back yet?"
