Description:
Combateers concentrate on close range combat, and are masters of attack and defense. They are self reliant always having others depend on them rather than vice versa. While they excel both in group and single combat, when engaging large numbers it may take some time to deal with all opponents.

Description:

    Is the answer to the above question your expectation of this RP? Please Explain : Yes. As GM I will endeavor to do as much as I can to deliver.
    What kind of Experience do you have in Roleplaying? : I have 12 years of Roleplay experience on internet forums mostly. When I find an RP I like, I will try and stick to it as long as possible.
    What genres of Roleplay do you like? : Fantasy, Steampunk, Adventure, Isekai, Supernatural, political, mystery
    What times are you available? : As GM I will be checking the OoC throughout the day as my business allows for such convenient breaks. For IC -8 Pacific Standard Time

Personality: A jolly fellow, if his banter and jokes come off abit hollow. He gives off airs of giving to much care when it comes to bigger and heavier topics, he gives them the respect they require of course but he never seems to show off a great deal of attachment to anything going on. He is rather frugal with his money and always seems to have a stockpile of food and sweets around in his usual little hiding places. Always seems to be either smoking or chewing on something, despite, so he says, the insistence he stop from old friends.

He is a master at making fufilling meals from the worst of ingredients. Keep in mind, fufilling is not always tasty, nor dose it always look good. But it fills, and more importantly stays in, the belly. To him, food is everything. Tied with his boundless patience, he is well capable of outlasting most if not all things.

Often comes off brazen and patronizing.
Quick to anger against those claiming superiority.

History: As a young man, this boy had nothing to his name save his body and faithful companion. A dog named Hussel, a friend he found also living on the streets as he did, they kept each other warm, despite having no fire, they kept each other happy, despite having no family, they were as close as one can be. But war, war has it's way of calling people to fight it. And being a strong young man, he was but one of the countless who signed up for that meager promise of filthy lucre and food. And oh did they eat, he of course shared his ration with Hussel, who was more than happy to have new friends and food.

Life was good for awhile, Octavian and Hussel showed to be a good enough pair in fighting to not separate, Hussel even showed promise during fights as Octavian preferred the longspear. the work was also rather lucrative, as the two were favorites to send out as scouts or for simple skirmishes. Though, this sadly came to an end as it usually did, the mercenary company got a job to hold a keep until a proper force can come to relieve them from their position. This information, that a smaller force was in the keep, did not go un-noted by the enemy in question.

This topic however is one that Octavian dose not wish to dwell on to much, to put it simply, the keep was indeed held, but with only one surviving man was found when the forces came to join the effort. not a single enemy troop entered the gates for long, and even allies returning to help found the keep had been turned into a death trap of confounding proportions. traps utilizing dead enemy and allies weaponry, broken or not, stones from the wall broken free for deadly falling objects, heads of dead men littered on stakes to dissuade any attackers.

More than a few done up in a blood eagle.

The smell was that of a corpse pit, and standing atop of a flight of stairs, biting off the last bit of meat off his lost beloved best friend's leg bone was Octavian, glaring down upon the armored men with wild eyes and bloody clothes.

He was given the pay of the company as the last living member and immediately went into retirement. he laid low for many years, until the money ran out, and thus he returns to the only thing he truly knows now.

Personality: A hard worker that wants more out of life. Has a strong belief that the world has a hidden voice that only those who get close to nature can listen to.

2 Negative Traits: Uncultured, close-minded
Weaknesses: He tries to do things he knows nothing about, often taking a hands-on approach in an effort to learn, however, this can backfire in situations where a professional is needed. He doesn't like to admit he can't do something.
History: Growing up in a poor farming community, Dodere quickly learned what it meant to be wanted: if you can't do it, get out of the way so someone else can. Not being useful at something was almost a sin itself. At a young age, he would talk to flowers, saying that he would have conversations with them, and understood what they wanted. This quality was quickly beaten out of him, even though he still claims to hear the flowers speak.
After growing into a powerful young man, Dodere realized that he wanted to do more than farm his whole life. He needed to take his talents elsewhere. He needed to learn the struggles of others and to help them.
Occupation: Wandering help-hand
Life Skills: Farming, hard work, wood-chopping, basic cooking, insect control, pest control, digging, well-digging.

Basic cloth and leather. Thin cloth vest, long cloth pants, and heavy leather boots. The vest is a maroonish color and has decorative buttons made from bone. The pants are a dark green color, also with a single functioning bone button. The leather boots are basic.

Very dedicated those she considered close to and always looking out to do a good deed even if she appears reluctant or does not appear good in the onset. If you are really lucky you will see a more humorous and fun loving side, involving risky stuns and creative use of her magical abilities.

History: Born to the Penticost family once one of the Honor Families of the Welwyrn Kingdom, in charge of the military. Once renowned military prowess and famed deeds, the fell out favour and fell victim to court intrigue among families letting a once lower noble family to take over. Her family were either killed or exiled with her parents making their way to nearby elven colony which held distant relatives. They were reluctantly welcomed and soon Phera was born among them. A few years later the parents left to attempt to reclaim their position but never returned. Phera remained raised by the elves and slowly integrating as their own.

What do you expect from RP's? : There is little I expect from this as I’m new to online roleplaying. My expectations, such as they are, is a collaborative story telling experience. I enjoy writing stories, and am interested in writing a story together with a group of people with similar interests.

What kind of Experience do you have in Roleplaying? : I’ve never done online Role Play, but I have extensive experience with dungeons and dragons games. In addition I write frequently and consider myself literate and capable of crafting at least a semi-coherent story (haha).
What genres of Roleplay do you like? : I’m a big fan of fantasy. I would avoid romantic sorts of play if possible. Beyond that most things are fine with me.
What times are you available? : Mornings and Evenings EST.
How long on average are you on? : Depends on the day, sadly. I’m a relatively busy person, but as this is on my phone and I enjoy writing, I would likely spend downtime formulating responses and such.
How many posts a week do you think you can make? : A lot. I can’t tell without starting, but I anticipate much more than the required one per day.

Personality: Merin is a deeply jovial fellow who believes in second chances. But only second chances. Despite outward appearances he has a very calculating mind. Threats to him or his friends are dealt with quickly, silently, and, with any luck, without a fair fight. He’s terrified of his friends finding out what he does to those he deems a danger, for fear they would dismiss him as cold and cruel, when really he feels he’s simply doing what needs to be done to safeguard those who deserve to be safeguarded.
2 Positive Traits:
  • Accepting of everyone, regardless of race, gender or status.
  • Jovial in even the worst of situations
2 Negative Traits:
  • Secretive, while he cares for his friends he fears they may abandon him should they know the actual depths of his mind or, worse, be disgusted with him.
  • It is very easy for him to slip into the mindset that those who hurt him, his friends or those he deems ‘innocent’ are ‘evil’ and ‘monstrous’. The phrase ‘they need to be put down, for the sake of everyone else’ is a common one in Merin’s mind. He subconsciously hardens his heart and refuses to think of his enemies as people, for he knows if he did he wouldn’t be able to do ‘what needs to be done’.

History:
Born into a small society or dwarves deep beneath the Keltic’s Range, Merin was raised to believe that it was his duty to protect those who needed protecting. His world was neatly divided into three categories. The Innocent, the Heroes who protected the innocent, and the monsters who would harm the innocent. He was taught that you could identify a monster not by what they looked like, but what they did. In the deep dark of the tunnels, amongst his kin, this served him well for a time.

He grew into an upstanding young dwarf, and began to feel a kinship not with just the dwarves around him, but the creatures that walked on the surface. He was proud to protect them from the horrors beneath the earth that they didn’t even realize they needed protecting from.
He joined a team of hunters, Dwarves who didn’t just hold the line against monsters, but struck deep into their territory to slay those that needed slaying, or rescue those that had gone astray. His job was Powder Monkey. Deft with a rifle, while on the team he learned the finer points of working with explosives, destroying tunnels and opening passages where needed, as well as laying traps for monsters that couldn’t be dealt with be conventional means.
He loved his team, especially Gudrid, the team's scout, whom he eventually married. He loved them all save the team leader, Harvald.
Harvald was a skilled warrior, but a dangerous dwarf. Skilled and cruel, Merin worried that he was working for a monster who was only safe to be around because he had other monsters to slay.
One day his suspicions were confirmed. They came upon a nest of goblins, historically the enemies of the Dwarven people, but Merin realized that it wasn’t a war camp as they’d assumed, but an honest to god goblin village. What they were doing so close to the Dwarven city Merin never knew. But it was filled with the elderly and the young. Goblins incapable of fighting. Merin alerted the others, but Harvald cared not at all. He ordered the others to slaughter the villagers, and they did it, all save Gudrid who stood with Merin in solidarity.
That night, aware that he would never win in a straight confrontation, he slew those he now viewed as ‘monsters’ in their sleep.
He thought the village would understand. He was doing his job. Slaying monsters where he found them, but he was branded a traitor to his people and banished. Even Gudrid was disgusted by what he had done, and turned away when he looked to her, the pain of that still burns in his heart today as he walks the land looking to stamp out monsters where he finds them.

Occupation: Former Demolitionist in a team of deep earth monster hunters.
Life Skills: Stealth, Patience, Accuracy, knowledge of creating and working with gunpowder and related devices. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of monsters, especially those that live underground. He is also adept at surviving in the wild, especially underground.

Material Possessions:
A custom rifle he works on and improves regularly named ‘Gudrid’.
A stash of Gun-powder left over. A handful of grenades. A kit that he can use to make more weapons if he had access to metal and gunpowder.

Clothing and Attire:
He wears a green hooded coat, and underneath that a fire-proof, shrapnel-proof leather jerkin that he designed himself. Beyond that his clothes are simple and sturdy, well made but not ostentatious, made for traveling. He wears his goggles around his neck most of the time

    • Indeed, the previous instance was short-lived, but it did meet my expectations - I can only look forward to this one having the same quality, if not better.​

    • I'd probably fall on the border between a casual RP-er and a veteran one. I've been on the site for several years now, though I've taken a few breaks here and there.​

    What genres of RP do you like?:
    • Mostly fantasy ones, but I've been diving a lot on sci-fi/futuristic concepts lately. Though if the premise intrigues, I'll probably take a dip in it regardless of the genre.​

    Is the answer to the above question your expectation of this RP? Please Explain : Yes, and honestly maybe a bit more. This just seems like such a huge and well done project that I'd be surprised If it somehow turned out badly.

    What kind of Experience do you have in Roleplaying? : I've role played in other websites before for a couple of years before joining RPNation. Once here, I tried to join a couple of other fantasy RPs that have unfortunately never taken off. Since I couldn't join one, I've decided to create my own which took off surprisingly quickly, and suddenly I realized I actually had to work on it. Although I panicked for a bit, I managed to get the hang of it based off other RPs. I analyzed them and decided to use a few of their practices. It went really well for about a month, but recently we haven't been getting as many replies and I fear the worse is happening... Now I'm simply hunting for a couple of RPs that I could participate without the need to mod.

    What genres of Roleplay do you like? : Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Slice of Life, Superpowers, Fandoms such as Pokemon, and a few others. It's easier to name the ones I don't like I think.

    What times are you available? : From about 9:00AM till 6:00PM (UTC+8:00). I won't be online all day, but I am usually on around these times. Likely to be less if I have exams or study to do.

    How long on average are you on? : About 15mins to 30mins, but If I'm in the middle of writing something, then maybe 1.5hrs, 2hrs

Personality: In general, Ria is cheerful yet reserved - having a remarkable yet strange attitude, oozing coolness and zeal. Ria keeps an open mind while being cautious, albeit skeptic with her guard against those she find unworthy of trust or the situation itself. As a fugitive within this era of war, she maintains an optimistic and organized resolve like an ice that never melts.

Weaknesses: Given Ria's series of betrayal and accusations from those who branded her a fugitive - she grew with pent-up anger and snarky remarks that coldly applies to burnt areas. She sees people with skepticism despite having an open mind, struggling to open up and trust them, therefore, trusting no one. This sharp tongue of hers likely often get her in trouble.

History: As a child, Ria belonged to the matriarchal noble family, the Tsurara. They inhabited the mountainous regions of Windsor Pass and Utena. Her family was one of the nation's cultured and renowned contributors in the field of farming, agriculture and hunting - these set of skills were also embedded in her scion to serve Lanark.

While the Tsurara by all means likened to women of strength and beauty, Ria falls short of their legacy. For the longest time, the Tsurara never romantically submitted to any superior families, including the royals to arranged marriage. They were invincible and dominated their suitors until Ria messed up, she was not born with their inhumane martial strength nor with snowy white hair, this was the factor that got Ria betrothed to one of the nobles and why she ran away with her younger sister. Unable to accept her loss, she continued living a life with bounty on her shoulders and that to whosoever may find her will be rewarded with marriage.

A couple of years past, she joined an adventure outside of her country with a party of Searchers only to experience a series of betrayal. She was pierced by a blade in her right torso during a brief skirmish with the criminal Hyoubu and branded a fugitive along with her "accomplice", Ukoku within months after a tournament.

Recently, Ria has been fending for herself and sought Mashmyre's school of archery. She lied about her lineage as a Lanarkian due to war concerns and became Mashmyre's protégé. Although things seemed to look up for Ria, it wasn't long that the bounty reached her comfort zone, fearing that she' be endangering those around her, she parted ways with Mashmyre. As a parting gift, he gave her his enchanted bow, Vijaya and sewing kit that weaves clothes instantly.

Occupation: Freelance Singer
Life Skills: Like her family, Ria is skilled in hunting/archery and well learned in agricultural matters. What sets her apart from them is her natural singing ability and affinity for intensive arte arts as well as making clothes and knifeplay.

Special Ability: Voice of The Heavens - Ria's voice is liken to a celestial, whenever she sings, it's claimed to be out of this world. Her singing voice is assured with healing properties at the expense of her vitality, prolonged singing causes her veins to pop and bleed, impairing her mobility and putting her on a 72 hour mute and rest. This is of course, if she decides to heal someone otherwise, she is fine.

Is the answer to the above question your expectation of this RP? Please Explain : No, not every roleplay is the same and people roleplay differently. I'm not going to expect the same thing out of every roleplay.
What kind of Experience do you have in Roleplaying? : I've been doing it for a while, I've recently been trying to make my posts more semi-literate to literate. The only thing I really don't have experience in is Dice.

Kurt is very suspicious of people, even if you're his ally. He's not very open and if you ask about him, he'll give you basic answers. Earning his trust his hard but once you do, his attitude around you will change. He may actually smile for you. Kurt can be humorous at times which can be unexpected given his serious aura around him. He doesn't show anger often just resentment. If you manage to make him angry, you better run. When Kurt is doing a task, interrupting will surely get you scolded by him. He doesn't like to sit around, he always likes to do something productive.

History: Kurt was born in the Port City of Victoria. His father was a gunsmith and his mother sold pottery. He lived a nice quiet middle class life learning his father's trade. At a young age, he had a fascination with all things guns. He made his first one when he was 11. He helped in his father's shop till he was about 17. Kurt didn't mind the life but it lacked adventure. With the continent almost being in a constant state of war, Kurt thought he could make some good money being a mercenary, putting his gun to good use. He father protested but knew he couldn't stop his child. From then on for about 2 years, Kurt was fighting for whatever side payed him the most. In those 2 years, he gained a lot of combat experience and racked up a lot of kills. After a tragic event involving civilians, he left the mercenary life in hopes of a more dignifying job. The Norhad swords caught his eye and enlisted without a thought. His journey has just begun.

Life Skills: Gunsmithing, cooking, has the ability to read and write, fairly useful with a rifle in his hand.

Material Possessions

Clothing and Attire: Usually can be seen wearing black clothing made out of a mix of and cotton. His cape his mainly for style but when it is raining, there is a hood to protect himself. He wears no armor, usually supporting the team from the back. His clothes are of higher quality, spending the money from his previous adventures and on his attire. His clothes being light gives him great mobility.

Personal Items:
His Lever action rifle with a scope(if they don't have lever actions then a flintlock rifle), a revolver, basic essentials, cleaning equipment for firearms, a necklace that holds the first bullet he has ever made and a letter from his mother and father.

Custom Class: Sharpshooter
Description: The Sharpshooter's job is to pick off enemies from afar, aiding allies from a distance. What they lack in close combat techniques, they make up with their excellent skill with firearms.
Elemental Affinity: Steel, Fire, Light
Types of Artes: ATK, DEF, EHM
Base Stats: HP 4 / SE 15 / CCA: 3 ///


Special Ability: Eagle eye- When activated, his eyes change to a shade of red and his ability to see get's increased ten fold. Useful for scouting an enemy position or spying on someone. It hurts his eyes when activated for too long.

Name of Arte: The name so that you can mark in down in the IC when used. Can also be what you yell in battle.
Type: Choose one of the types that are made available by your Class
Description: Please describe what it may be like in IC, as well as what happens OoC
Elemental: Choose from the ten elements
Price: The amount of Token points needed to unlock this arte and use it in battle.
Cost: The amount of SE ( spirit energy ) that is required in IC to use in battle.
CCA: The amount of CCA ( Combat Character Actions ) that is required in IC to use in Battle

Name of Arte: Hardening
Type: ATK
Description: He can harden the bullet that exits his gun making it able to penetrate more. Most effective against individuals with heavy armor.
Elemental: Steel

Arte Level 2
Name of Arte: Steel scales
Type: DEF
Description: Lack of close combat means and lacking armor can become an issue when enemies get up close to the sharpshooter. This Arte allows him to deal with that. By growing steel scales over a specific part of his body, he can effectively block an attack or low level Arte.
