Fantasy The Pit [Started, Closed]

Cas glanced up to see Ceranova coming down on him. He dropped into a turtle-like crouch, blasting a layer of ice over his body, the fractures coming to points over his back, like a spiny turtle. His ice would only break for heat, so he had faith that the girl would run right into his pointed shield.

Val was blasted backwards a couple feet, but staggered back up to her feet as the gust passed. She absorbed what was left of the attack and fired three blasts, one right after the other, one at the girl's head, one at her gut, and one at her legs.

Odd nodded at the large man when a blast startled him and had blasted the man in chest, him falling down in a bloodied mess. A larger shield forming around him out of instinctive response. "Oh sh*t-oh sh*t-oh sh*t!" He gaped at the amount of blood. He had never paid attention to fights anymore because of how violent they had been, he chose to tune the noises out so that he could maintain his last bits of humanity. He gasped and in shock as the man from before recomposed himself into a beastly creature that he had never seen up close before. It immediately pounced on its attacker, pulverizing him. Odd couldn't look any longer and he shielded his eyes. After he was done, he watched as the former man from before lumbered its way to the center of the arena and watched as he brutally defeated everyone being thrown at him. Odd was frozen in place as he did this but he felt an overwhelming urge to do something. Without much thought his barrier dispersed and he was running towards Revan who was engaged with Fane, a fighter that he knew and admired to an extent. He slowed to stop as he tried think of what to do to protect the other guy.
Ceranova saw the blur of the spikes just seconds before she connected. Grinning, her body formed itself completely into acid and her main body split away from the one still in the kicking motion. She landed on her hands and pushed herself backwards so that she was a safe distance away. The body in the kicking motion liquified itself on the spiked ice armor and it partially burned itself through it. Cera's other body began to chuck numerous bombs toward the armor, each one reacting powerfully as it responded to the acid already in place. The sides of her vision kept Kami in her line of sight, in case she decided to do anything. She consciously decided not to engage her if she was just going to stand there like a statue the whole time.

As Ivaylo threw the younger shifter off of him, he caught a glimpse of Kira fighting a rather powerful kid. In fact, the one who had attacked him in the form of the ravens. Well, he owed her a favor... He ran across the arena, arriving just in time to see the kid disappear into the crowd. "You okay?" He asked, suddenly human again.

Tirana watched as the blasts came for her and she swiped her arms in an exaggerated motion, causing her body to propel itself out the way if the blasts, landing into a sideways roll. There were a few unconscious bodies around her and she picked them and threw them at the girl with not much thought. Wherever she landed, Tirana rushed at her again, her fists flying at her from above and her feet sweeping under her from below.

Kira had to gasp as Ivaylo suddenly appeared in front of her, asking after her health. "I-I'm fine." She stuttered out of shock, her heart suddenly beating fast. "Are you alright?" She managed to get out, her eyes tracing over his body to look for injuries. She spotted the claw marks on his shoulder and winced in sympathetic pain. That must have hurt.

"Fine. The lower numbers are getting slaughtered out here." Many went beyond simply knocking them out, which was the minimum needed to win a fight in the Pit. Ivaylo hadn't that night- yet.

The shifter he had been fighting moments before hurtled out of the crowd behind him, knocking Ivaylo to the ground. He shifted into a mountain lion, tearing at the other shifter viciously.

Joel had thought about engaging the shifter again for the sake of staying true to what he planned on doing. The chaos he tried to maneuver through being a major deciding point on what he would do. He traveled a full circle around the arena before he went back around to the side-by-side ranks. Ivaylo had been attacked in that moment and he decided to act. One of the ravens in the flock molded into the shape of the shorter wakizashi sword and it pierced through the rookie shifters body, erecting a screech as the guy reverted back to his human form. The other ravens came from behind and formed Joel to his human form. He approached both fighters and removed the wakizashi from the incapacitated rookie. "I can't leave him like this. I went a little too far with that one." He mumbled to himself, crouching down to unwrap the dirtied bandages from his left arm. Joel sighed deeply at seeing that his bloodied and scarred arm had healed itself to a minimum. Without further delay, his hand went into the rookie's wound and repaired the punctured wound from the inside out. The corner of Joel's vision turned red slightly in response to the pain and he pulled away quickly after he was done. He turned to the other two fighters and formed a grin at the corner of his mouth.

Kira was about to blast the other shifter with her shadows when the job was taken care of by the same person who had attacked her before. Also the same raven person who had attacked Ivaylo. "I suppose I should thank you." She said, indicating the other shifter laying on the ground. "But I won't forgive you!" She yelled and sent her shadows blasting towards him.

Revan took out more people on his rampage towards Fane. More damage equalled more power for him so Fane watched losing hope that he could take him on. One on one I would easily be able to do this. There are too many people to be able to use my regular tactics. Fane also noticed Odd following Revan, looking unsure of what to do. Fane hoped he would give him some assistance or stay away from this danger. Then Revan charged towards Fane and he braced himself. Revan swung his left arm towards Fane's middle and Fane tried to stop it in the mid section. The force was too much and Fane was sent flying quite a few feet away.

Luckily in that moment Fane was able to absorb a good portion of Revan's energy, but nowhere near enough to put him out. Fane leveled himself out and made sure his feet hit the ground first. He slid to a stop and quickly stood. Ready for another attack.

Joel's grin widened just before he teleported to the shadow girl's side using his form as a flock of ravens. He reformed and threw ravens with spiked beaks at the both of them. "Then lets spar then, I don't have anything against a two on one fight as long as you can handle it." he boasted absent-mindedly as he rushed at them with blinding speed, shifting back and forth to a raven form as he slashed horizontally with his sword.

Ivaylo growled and leapt for the boy when he was in his human form. Ivaylo pinned him for a split second, but lost him when he changed into a raven. He did his best to intercept as many of the ravens attacking Kira, but he wasn't fast enough to get all of them. Whirling, he transformed into a hawk, flying until he was behind Joel. He attacked in wolf form from behind the other boy, hoping to avoid his blade.

Odd glanced back at Fane and nodded in his direction, his plan of action now clicking in. "Hey! Hey!" He shouted as he shot bolts of electricity at the beast before him, strafing around him to get his attention away from Fane. His mind began to resonate with his powers and he formed a staircase out of the barriers as he ran and fired. The crowd cheered loudly at this, surprised to see the usually weak boy finally fighting for real this time.

One raven stabbed her in the shoulder, another in the thigh. However she ignored the pain to create another shadow wolf to attack the raven man from the front and distract from Ivaylo in the back. Even before her wolf was destroyed Kira made another one, sending it to attack as well while she quickly stopped and wrapped her wounds so they wouldn't bleed too much.

Joel escaped major injury thanks to his quick reflexes and precise placement. A few ravens circled the immediate area, watching the two of them from all angles and watching for any unwanted attention from the other combatants. The arena was starting to thin out, about half of the fighters already gone and most of everyone fighting in groups ranging from 3 to 5. Guards began gathering the bodies of those knocked out and carried them out. A raven saw Ivaylo in wolf form come from behind him, at the same time he saw Kira stop to treat her wounds. "You're open." He said transporting his way to her by changing again and flying himself into the air, at the same time avoiding both wolves covering both his front and back. He reverted to human form in the air and slashed diagonally at Kira as he came down from above her.

Revan continued his attack, as he had never broken his charge. His speed was pressing, and he was already in range to strike Fane by the time he had landed. While Fane was in the air, Revan's tentacle had slid around towards Fane's side and then expanded into the shape of a large bush of protruding spikes which subsequently hardened. Revan twisted his body sharply to the right as he soon as Fane landed to swivel the mass of spikes towards Fane's right side to attempt to skewer him. Revan's body twist also had a dual purpose, as it would place him beside Fane to attack him from both sides in a pincer like attack but he was abruptly stopped as electricity slammed into him and coursed throughout his body. The tentacle that was swerving towards Fane's side changed course as Revan was knocked to the ground, barely missing Fane. Revan did not even react to this, as he did not feel any pain now. He simply smiled inhumanly once again and stood up quickly, his back bleeding and charred from the electricity. The damaged skin was quickly sloughed off like the shedded skin of a snake, and fresh and much more durable skin took its place. The energy that coursed through Revan's body in reaction to this healing was an addicting feeling that further heightened Revan's crazed blood lust. Revan saw the man attempt to get airborne status through making an artificial staircase, and Revan instinctively rushed towards the man while keeping Fane in consideration with his hearing and smell. Revan formed his tentacle into that of a whip again that tapered its edges into sharp points to give the whip a slicing edge. However, he kept the tentacle flexible to increase the striking force of the whip as he tightly grasped the base of the tentacle and lashed at the airborne man. The tentacle instinctively grew to its maximum length of eight feet and it whistled towards the man with the insane speed that regular whips had. Since the man was above Revan, he would have even less time to dodge the whip as whips move in an upward arc before striking downwards. At the position Odd was in, he would receive the blow during the whips upward arc and not when it struck down, nearly halving the time it took to strike a ground based target.

Kira was forced to abandon her wounds as she rolled to the side to avoid the downward strike of the blade. She landed badly but didn't let the sudden pain stop her as she formed two daggers of darkness and used them to slash at the raven man. "At least tell me your name if you're trying to kill me!" She growled at him, standing in a ready position with her two shadow wolves flanking her and blades at the ready.

Odd was able to keep the beast from harming Fane at least and he increased his jogging pace so that he was in an all out sprint up the block staircase. The spiral footing that he had formed had stopped at this time until it was level for him run faster. The beast recovered from the bolts and repaired itself again, causing Odd's face to furrow in annoyance. "Crap!" He muttered as he saw its grin plastered on its face. By that time, Odd was about a few feet from where Fane was below him and thought of jumping down to him when he heard the motions of the tentacle coming at him from below. At least 4 layers of barriers came from him to block it but it was they were easily shattered to pieces. The whip-like tentacle protruded from his spot, causing his body to fling itself forward, the very tip of the whip slicing through his side with stinging pain. "AAAGH!" He screamed, grasping his side as he tumbled to the ground below.

Fane put both hands open palm in front again to try and stop Revan. At the last second he put his right hand towards the tentacle to try to block, barely noticing it. However, Odd had hit Revan and sent him off course. He looked up and thankfully nodded, but noticed Revan now focused on Odd. "Odd look out!!!" Fane dashed towards Revan and kept his left arm outstretched to try and get Revan to hit at least that part. Right now he's to fast and strong....I have to latch on to him to drain him compeltely. Fane was too slow and Odd got hit down to the ground. He kept going towards Revan and slid to grapple onto his leg. If Fane was successful he would try to drain all energy from Revan.

Joel fell into a roll as he barely missed, landing in a crouched position with his longer blade pointing at her. The pain in his left arm was still overwhelming, but he had grown accustomed to it and he gripped the shorter blade from behind him. He stood up slowly and he eyed the both of them from what he could see from the woolen mask on his face. The ravens circling them had gone to his side, perching themselves on both sides of his shoulders. He had used a lot of energy at this point and he stumbled slightly because of it. He felt uncomfortable now under his mask from moving around so much and he decided to remove it reveal his face, rubbing the curly hair out of his face. "Joel."

Revan forgot about Fane when he saw his current opponent, Odd, was hurtling towards the ground. Revan cackled as he began sprinting with inhuman speed towards Odd, the tentacle writhing above his head before shaping it's end into that of a human hand. This was when Revan heard the exclamation"Odd look out!" and immediately turned around to face the loud voice that was drawing near. It was a foolish decision to shout with such a voice, and Revan refocused his efforts onto Fane who had gotten quite close now. Revan's berserk mental state did not allow him to consider what Fane's power was, but this did not mean Revan would be easily baited into being caught by Fane. The sense of danger and risk had been completely removed from Revan, and he acted on killing drive alone. This made Revan instinctively go on the offense to maneuver his tentacle back to Fane at high speed, the formed hand on the tentacle outstretched as it attempted to latch onto Fane and throw him down hard to the ground. Revan definitely had the reach advantage here, but the tentacle itself was not the fastest thing in the world but as Fane was accelerating towards Revan, the hand would still be a challenge to dodge. If Fane dodged it, he could attempt to drain Revan's energy, but the tentacle's versatility would be his undoing if he narrowly dodged the tentacle in a rash attempt to get as close to Revan as possible. The tentacle, if it missed Fane, would sprout elongated spikes all throughout its length like a hedgehog in an attempt to skewer Fane. However, the spikes would only be a around a foot in length each and Fane could possibly anticipate this trap and dodge wide at the cost of giving Revan more time to prepare himself. Revan eagerly awaited Fane's charge with a hungry smile, his blood red eyes flashing with excitement.

Kami snickered in amusement as she observed the showdown between Cas and Ceranova. "Don't lose, ice freak. I still gotta kick your ass," she called to Cas, figuring she was being left out and should seek out another adversary. Cas could hold his own pretty well, but it wouldn't be satisfying if he was dead tired when they faced off.

Nearby, an injured girl was flanked by two dark shapes, which Kami recognized as wolves. Kira, her name was. From across the arena, one of the top twenty, James, caught sight of the girl and charged at her from behind, a snarl curling his lips as his fingers morphed into knives. Kamiko wasn't sure why, but she suddenly wanted to beat him up.

Right before the guy reached Kira, Kami stepped between them and caught his fist in her outstretched hand, the skin on her palm turning to diamond a moment before impact. He blinked in surprise, but she didn't give him a moment to register his failed attack before swinging her other hand and punching him right in the nose. The blow knocked James onto the ground, but he still attempted to stand back up. Before he could do so, Kami kicked his chest and pinned him down with her boot.

"Your fashion sense could be better," she remarked before jumping up and stomping on his groin as hard as she could. After that final blow, James was out for the count.

Joel kept his gaze on Kira when his ravens saw two fighters come at her. The female one had stopped the blow and knocked out the other assailant. He heard her voice as well as observed her appearance now that he could see better. "Well sh*t. It's number 2" he stated wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Curse my concern for others.....no matter. Fane continued to charge and barely dodged the tentacle. He then grabbed the tentacle with only his hands and tried to drain Revan's energy. That's when the tentacle changed shape and protruded spikes that punctured his hands. "OW D*MN STUPID SPIKES!!!" Fortunately they did not grow longer than a foot and Fane started to drain energy. He looked over to see if Odd was ok, but still focused on draining Revan's energy.

"#2?" Kira had to take a deep breath before she turned around, registering the unconscious body and Kamiko herself standing there. "Um, thank you?" She said, not quite sure what to say to the person who was practically invincible. "I'll see if I can return the favor sometime." It probably wasn't a good idea to owe someone so powerful a favor, but Kira was honorable and she couldn't just forget about it. Kamiko had saved her life.

"'Sup," she greeted when the two acknowledged her presence, a cheery smile tugging at her lips. "Carry on. Just watching, is all." Kami glanced at Kira, chuckling at her gratitude. "Don't worry about it. That guy's the most pathetic scum to attack someone with their back turned. Especially one of the few girls in this hellhole." She winked and shoved her hands in her pockets again before glancing up at the guy who had been sending ravens all over the place. His face wasn't one that she recognized, but his power was certainly admirable.
