Fantasy The Pit [Started, Closed]

Odd looked around him as all the other shoots began to open up. "Wait What!?" He shouted as saw those next to his chute start to run out towards him. He turned back around to see ice being shot at him. He yelped as a small hexagonal shield appeared above his right shoulder before the attack connected; the ice was reflected back upwards toward the audience window panes. He saw several other ice blasts come at him and he broke out into a sprint, unlikely to cover himself from the people coming from behind him. He was considerably faster than what they anticipated and he looked around quickly as he tried to find anywhere to go and hide.

When the chute suddenly opened, Ivaylo turned with a growl. He transformed into a wolf and launched himself from the chute, landing on a newbie's back. He knocked the kid to the ground, his head smacking the floor. With him down and out for the count, Filtiarn leapt into the air, taking the form of a hawk as he circled overhead, looking for his next victim.

Joel could see another fighter take to the air as well and decided to test him out to see if he was worth the effort. The flock of circling ravens began to form the upper part of Joel's body, it still completely black. With a wave of his hand he sent two birds after the hawk, their beaks sharpening themselves into arced knives as they flew with great speed at the hawk who payed attention to what was on the ground. His body reverted back to his raven form and he decided to spread his raven-self out a bit more; the flock of ravens then pursued after the hawk in a single-file formation.

At the last moment, Ivaylo became aware of the ravens and went into a steep dive, transforming as he went. He didn't totally escape injury; a few of the feathers from his tail were now missing, which made flying more difficult. However, he became an eagle, much larger than the ravens, evening the odds of this particular fight.

As rookie after rookie flew at her from all sides, Kami easily became bored. Fire, super strength, glass- none of them hurt her. She had yet to take a step away from the threshold of her chute. Wearing down the opponent was typical of her fights; she didn't want to dirty her own hands if she didn't have to. After several minutes of the same routine, however, Kami's gaze landed on Cas, her eyes widening and darkening. She wasn't in a fighting mood yet, but she didn't know when a chance like this would arise again. The rookies before her were easily tossed aside as she strolled towards the ice user, hands in her pockets. "'Sup," she greeted her cell neighbor.

As the ravens charged at the hawk, they didn't plan on attacking him right then and there. They flew higher up in the arena and then looped downwards into a dive. Seeing as the eagle was the only other flying bird in the air Joel charged at the bird again, him taking on a human form while the glint of steel came slashing down towards it.
As Ceranova was released from her cell, she strolled her way out of it, ignoring the rookies coming at her and focusing on where Cas was. She speed walked over to him and she formed a wall of green fire in the path of the rookies who got too close to her, some of them burned by being too close. She saw Kami stroll her way over to her and took her chance. With no warning she slashed her arm in a horizontal motion, causing an arc shaped flame to fly at them.

Kamiko didn't even budge as the flame passed through her without a problem, her body having turned to stone immediately before impact and changed back right after. "No greeting?" she admonished, turning to face Ceranova. "That's a bit too uncivilized, yeah?" Kami grinned and glanced at the people fighting around her. The crowd had fallen silent when three of the top five had gathered together, waiting with apprehension for the next move.

Tirana's chute door flew open and she raised an eyebrow puzzled. "Already? This hasn't happened before..." She said, strutting her way out regardless. The crowd behind her cheered wildly as she stepped out. She focused her attention on the first opponent that stood out to her the most. She saw a blur of red from girl's hair and impulsively ran at her. Using her power, her feet no longer touched the ground and the strong gusts of wind carried her into a glide as she came at the girl. The winds were to strong for her to stand where she stood for long and so Tirana charged at her with a left hook letting the momentum push her along as the other girl was most likely going to be pushed back.

Cas had thrown up a shield of ice to the flames, and it had melted partially but not entirely. He shot looks at the two girls, also top-level fighters. He couldn't help but feel that he wasn't like them, that he didn't belong in the top five. He was too sensitive, too compassionate. These girls only seemed to care about the glamour of winning. He couldn't compete with them, especially if they weren't holding back. Cas made a thick dome of ice around himself and slumped a bit, thinking his strategy through. He wouldn't be able to beat them using strength or speed. He'd have to take them off guard, or find a weakness. He wasn't excited for it as they seemed, but quite the opposite. He was dreading facing the higher level competitors. He typically fought in the 10-15 range, taking out some of the higher-ups that the spectators were getting tired of.

On the other side of the ring, Val had cleared enough space totals on somebody for real. A rookie or two had tried running at her, and they were currently laying on the floor of the Pit in various states of unconsciousness. After absorbing the energy in their attacks, Val was feeling refreshed and hyped for battle. She looked around for somebody who wasn't engaged, somebody higher up than the 40s. Just then, a huge gust of wind came forward and she felt something collide with her face, splitting the skin on her cheek and creating a fat welt. She was knocked to the ground, and scrambled to get back on her feet. She built up a charge of energy, ready to shoot as soon as she caught sight of whomever had attacked her. It was that wind chick from the upper levels. She shot a huge wave of red-purple energy in her direction, firing on impulse.

Odd had been searching desperately for somewhere to hide but with no luck. His adrenaline began to runneth over as he found himself in the open, dodging projectiles and moving away from individual fights as much as possible. He slowed to a stop as he heard and looked to see a girl call out to him. His eyes widened a bit as he saw the energy form in her hands. He suddenly felt the strongest wind he ever felt in his life coming from that direction. He could see a girl who seemed to flying come at her from behind. He tried to cover his fear by bringing that to her attention. "You might wanna turn around, you're about to get licked in the face." He stated pointing to the girl who was seconds away from sending the red-haired girl flying. He glanced behind him not really worried about the girl anymore to see Revan hiding out in the shadows, he looked at the big with desperation and figured that he wasn't going to attack unless he gave him a reason to. "Mind helping a bro out?" He asked not really expecting a civil reply.

Ceranova glared at both fighters as her attacks didn't connect. But then she smirked, seeing that her power had some effect on the defense that Cas had. That was only just fire, imagine what damage she could do with acid added into the mix. She waited it out, thinking of how she would approach them. Kamiko seemed invulnerable to any attack she would throw at her, but she knew she couldn't just ignore her just because of that. She concluded that she may have to catch her off guard for her attacks to connect. Cas then formed a ice dome around himself and huffed in annoyance.
"You really think its a good idea to sleep on me?" She stated while let acid bombs form in both of her hands. She chucked one at Kami and at least three of them at Cas back-to-back and then retreated into two backflips, a surprise awaited whomever decided to approach her when she let her guard down. She landed on her feet into a crouched position.
After Joel swiped at the bird, he allowed the ravens to circle around the bird to intimidate it.

Cas had to dart sideways to dodge the acid leaking through his dome, having burned through the thick layer of ice. Dammit, this is gonna be harder than I thought. Cas left the dome to melt and glared coldly at Ceranova. He still did not speak. Cas couldn't remember the last time he spoke to any of his competitors, in the Pit or out of it. Cas couldn't remember the last time he spoke at all. He always just fought, and won. Shooting a column of ice at the girl with white hair, he prepared to strengthen his ice. There was one fight where he had made it so cold it would not melt, but Cas hadn't been able to replicate that feat since. He focused on the strength, rather, and density. He couldn't help but feel that he would only come out on top if he could figure that trick out again.

Tirana charged at Val with great speed and as she approached, she pushed her legs back to allow even more momentum, the extra wind as a result sending Val backwards. Then set up for the punch, reeling her arm back and aiming at her cheeks. She then jolted her fist forward and prepared for the feeling of soft flesh to touch it. The wind behind her causing the other fighters in that path to fly backwards and hit the arena wall.

Kira didn't know what to do as he chute opened. She was a one-on-one girl, she didn't do well in these kinds of situations. Slimming out of her chute before the floor could electrocute her, she gasped at the dizzying rush of her powers. Had they gotten stronger? Only one way to find out. Looking upwards, she saw a hawk - Ivaylo, she thought - being attacked by a bunch of ravens. Raising her hands, she concentrated and two small knives formed of darkness. Grasping them, Kira took aim and threw, sending them shooting towards the ravens with deadly precision.

Yet again, Kami didn't move from her position when the acid came flying at her. When it made contact, her skin turned to zirconium, on which the acid had no effect. "Keep it coming," she taunted once she changed back, getting bored. "It'll take a bit more to bring me down." Physical attacks wouldn't harm her at all and neither would catching her off guard. She didn't have to know an attack was coming for her body to adapt, as it happened without her control.

Just as Ivaylo sank his talons into one of the ravens, two of the others fell suddenly. 'Kira,' he thought, catching a glimpse of the shadows flying towards them. He dropped the raven and attacked another before diving towards the ground and transforming back into a wolf just above another fighter, one of the lower numbers. He hadn't seen the kid before, but to his surprise, he was a shape shifter too. The two fell to the ground, fighting in various animal forms. Ivaylo growled as the other fighter's claws tore his shoulder, but he fought back, using his greater weight to his advantage.

Swallowing hard as Ivaylo fell to the ground, she sighed in relief as he shifted forms right before the ground. Seeing him embroiled in a fight with another shapeshifter, Kira called up her darkness and shaped it in the features of a wolf. Sending it to go help Ivaylo, she turned to fight another person. She was forced to defend herself against one of the rookies, shooting blasts of shadows at him before he could dodge. Having taken care of that threat, she prepared to face another.

Fane watched as the fight went on between Cas and the newbie. Then something caught his eye, another fighter. There had only been one incident like this before and the crowd had loved it. However, more and more chutes opened and other fighters poured in. He watched as chaos exploded in the pit and no one was safe. Finally his Chute opened almost last for some reason. He stepped out and felt the familar rush of energy that told him he could perform his ability.

Not two seconds after he was out someone shot lightning at him. The initial force and shock hurt, but then Fane started absorbing the energy. It rushed through him and it felt like everything was heightened. Fane dashed towards the guy and grabbed his hands shooting the lightning. "Thanks for the jump start! Now rest for a bit, won't you?" Fane drained almost all the guys energy and he went limp. Fane dragged the guy to the edge of the pit to hopefully save him from further danger.

Fane then turned his attention towards the chaos so he wasn't caught off guard. So many people were fighting, but mostly the higher ranks were winning. He hoped he didn't have to fight anyone too soon, even though he was more than ready.

Zaytah paced back and forth in her chute. She covered her ears with her hands. I wish not to fight today. She had only been in one fight, and one she won with pure luck. She sighed as she leaned against her chute.

The creaking of her chute caused her to jump up and observe what was happening. She saw it open and before her were all the other competitors fighting to the death. She gave a gasp of fear. No...no I don't want to do this. Her eyes flitted everywhere. Ice, fire, acid, lightning. Everywhere. She couldn't handle all the commotion. In her mind an image of a large steel ball that enclosed her popped into mind. Zaytah calmed herself and began feeling the power rush through her. A giant steel encasing around me. It can withstand most attacks. And on the outside of this containment will be spikes that will probably deal little damage to others but that I can stay protected and start learning about others abilities. Yes this is what I shall do.

She closed her eyes and kept a strong grasp on the image with its every detail. Soon enough she opened her eyes to find herself in more darkness but this time she knew she was in the containment. A small gasp of disbelief escaped as she admired the masterpiece she created, but she knew if she didn't stay focused on the image it will vanish. With most of her mindset on the image she walked forward hoping it would move. Luckily it moved forward. But Zaytah couldn't tell what direction she was moving. Hmm, a small camera would be nice. And with little effort a camera appeared on the ball. Zaytah created the camera to where it stayed in one fit place while the ball could revolve on its own. Through the camera she observed the commotion.

There's #1, Cas, #2, and #3. Ice, seems that #2 can withstand physical attacks, and a fire and acid mixture, deadly. Zaytah continued rolling around the Pit. She felt some bumps here and there, but she knew that the people she were hitting were not dead since her images are not deadly.

Revan replied to Odd with a clear voice, "Sorry, I won't be fighting it seems, no body is gonna come to this corner. You can join me here if you want, but be careful to not take advantage of my hospitality".

Right after this sentence had been finished, a beam of bright blue energy seared through Revan's stomach, leaving a wide, gaping hole encircled with charred and smoking flesh. The beam had continued on its course and had struck the wall of the arena before dissipating, but not before incinerating a man's hand. It was obviously either eighteen or nineteen that had done this and had been capable of doing this. Revan looked at the hole in his chest, now pooling with blood that slowly began to trickle down to the arena floor.

With a shocked expression, Revan hit the ground face first, blood splattering in a pattern around him as his punctured stomach collided with the ground of the arena.

Nineteen then stepped in front of Revan casually, his gloved hands glowing with a bright blue aura. He was capable of firing incredibly powerful beams of concentrated heat energy, but it seemed that he was only able to do so in short bursts and with easily telegraphed movements, hence why he had hidden from Revan before apparently killing him.

Nineteen stopped in front of Revan's prone body, looking straight ahead, believing that Revan was dead. However, this was far from the truth.

When Revan felt the beam surge through his stomach, he had felt a sharp pain before everything grew numb and the world began to spin around him. This level of damage was high enough to knock out Revan, what with a basketball sized hole in his chest and would ordinarily have meant defeat in single combat. However, since this was a group fight, nobody bothered to remove the disabled bodies of combatants, meaning Revan was absolutely free to regenerate and fight as long as he wanted, which is precisely why he did not want to fight as he did not desire to inflict harm unless in self defense.

A sickening gurgling sound is heard as charred flesh is pushed off Revan's body and replaced with raw, pink flesh. Organs began to slowly grow back, cells going into complete overdrive as they struggled to regenerate this massive amount of damage. The empty hole in Revan's chest began to fill in with bloody, sickening raw flesh before being padded with skin.

When the damage was repaired, Revan opened his eyes again. Perhaps it would not have been accurate to say that Revan opened his eyes, it was something far more sinister that had taken control of the body that was commonly referred to as Revan. Revan's face distorted as he made an inhumanly wide grin while looking straight ahead at Nineteen who was still unaware of Revan's state. Revan's left shoulder muscles began to tremble and grow grotesquely before a bright purple tentacle burst out of it. The flesh around the tentacle that had been split apart to make way for the tentacle quickly regrew and firmly stuck to the tentacle.

Nineteen noticed then that Revan was alive and had quickly faced Revan before attempting to backpedal away. Revan was too quick, however, as the tentacle lashed out and coiled itself around Nineteens leg and slammed him to the ground forcefully beside Revan. The force of the impact was extreme, knocking all of the wind out of Nineteens body and making his head spin. Taking advantage of this disorientation, Revan viciously lunged atop of Nineteen and began to brutally beat his face, chest, throat, or any part of his exposed body with powerful and berserk force, all the while with a wide, unchanging grin plastered to Revan's face as if the moment was the best in his life. A growing pool of blood began to spread out from the man's head as he was now beaten into unconsciousness.

Some rookie had taken notice and had attempted to blindside Revan with a kick, but the tentacle had reacted and coiled itself around the rookie's neck, asphyxiating him with inhuman force before flinginh him aside after he was unconscious. Revan stood up and looked down at Nineteen. His face was so distended and broken that it was unrecognizable. Revan laughed at the sight before abruptly turning to the center of the arena where his sensitive hearing heard the most amount of bodies to be broken. Revan sprinted towards the center of the arena, his broken mind having forgotten about Odd. His tentacle had formed into the shape of a spiked mace and was hardened to strengths comparable to steel. The tentacle curled itself around Revan's arm to pivot itself before extending forward around five feet ahead of Revan's left arm. With this mace, Revan began to ruthlessly beat anything he moving with powerful, enhanced force while heading slowly, but not intentionally to Fane's direction.

Ceranova glanced at Kami with an annoyed expression after the attack failed to connect. "Hmph" she huffed before turning her attention back to Cas. "I can't attack either of them directly without them coming up with something to block it. Time for a different approach." She thought while anticipated the ice column to attack her; she had seen the move many times and had figured out a way to use it to her advantage. She focused the fire and acid into her right arm until it started to combine to make a substance equal to lava. Her other arm was treated the same way, except it being built with a bomb made to explode upon contact; her skin was visibly greener on the parts where her skin was left bare. She rushed directly towards the attack in sprint. "RAAAH!" She hollered as she sliced the column horizontally with ease. She then leaps from the remains of the column that was on the arena floor and raised her leg from in the air and brought it down to where Cas, aiming for his head.

Fane somehow felt a surge of energy and looked towards it. He caught the last of a blue beam that had gone through Revan. I've never been able to feel energy like that.....is it the overwhelming amount of people in here that's doing it? Before he could continue his thoughts he saw Revan fight off his attacker and some newbie. Then Revan was coming towards Fane, but it seemed he was going more towards the chaos near him. They had not fought before so there shouldn't be any quarrel between them. Fane readied himself and tried to move out of Revan's line of rampage. However, he knew that he should be able to take on Revan if he decided to attack Fane.

Joel's voice echoed a hiss of pain as at least 4 other ravens were hit from the eagle and the shadow girl's attacks. A few of the ravens watched as a few of them fell to the ground and they rushed towards the arena floor. "Sh*t" he groaned internally as he was forced partially back into his human form. His body was still pitch black, but with parts of his shoulder and waist missing. He didn't feel like engaging any other opponents as he didn't like to switch up his tactics too much. As he gathered the fallen birds and merged them into his body, he saw the eagle-now wolf from before engaged in combat. He looked to his left and saw his other attacker who had just got done fighting another rookie. Without warning he turned into a dark puddle on the floor and moved behind her. As he emerged with one wakizashi at the ready he swung the longest one at her with trained precision, aimed at her back. He followed it with an upward kick to push her back some before beginning to slice again.

It was only due to a passing fight that Kira managed to duck the first blade. Someone else had missed a fireball and she had ducked to avoid it when she heard the blade whistling through the air. She dived into a roll the moment she realized what it was, avoiding the kick that had followed up the action. A blast of shadows blinded her assailant as Kira stood up and turned around to face her attacker. "Look, I don't want to fight, just leave me alone." She said, eyeing the man's blades warily. They we're long, too long for her comfort. She would have to be careful when trying to strike him or else those blades would taste her blood.

Tirana cartwheeled out of the way of Val's attack, it connecting with another fighter nearby. As she recovered she wheeled back her hands and shot them forward mimicking a 'Kamehameha'. The wind from before now shot from the force she emitted from her hands, it strong enough so that it wouldn't be able for the girl to stay in place properly.
Joel's covered head stated in the girl's direction in silence. Without much thought he connected the dots. "Ah, so you two know each other?" He paused for a second, recognizing her voice. "You must be #15. Nice to meet you, but don't think I won't come back for you if you try to pull something like that on me again." He greeted briefly before swiftly changing back into his raven form, the birds flying by her as he thought to search for someone else he knew to engage with.

Revan's right arm was blasted into a ruined pulp as explosive fire voraciously burned through it. Immediately Revan spun towards the source of the attack and struck forward with his left arm. The tentacle around Revan's left arm extended and formed into the shape of a massive blade which pierced the foolish pyromancer's stomach to incapacitate him. Revan quickly turned around, eagerly awaiting to inflict violence upon anything. A small ring of unconscious rookies and mid rankers lay around Revan, all with severe injuries. Revan's burnt arm began to regenerate. Burnt flesh was sloughed off as fresh flesh took stead. Within seconds Revan's arm was once again functional, and much stronger than before. Every time Revan regenerated from a wound, he felt his body instinctively strengthening, his cells becoming more advanced.

Revan then sniffed the air while focusing his hearing around him. He picked up on a rather isolated scent of a man to his left. Revan stared at the man with a voracious look as his devilish eyes bulged with maddening blood lust while droplets of saliva pooled from Revan's grinning, open mouth in anticipation of the violence he was about to inflict. Revan dashed towards the man with an animalistic and guttural roar. Revan's movements were choppy and unrefined, but they were extremely fast and powerful now that his muscles had been strengthened to quite an extent through constant regeneration. Revan willed the tentacle around his left arm to turn into an elongated line of flesh that tapered to a sharp end. With this seven foot whip, Revan lashed out at the man with a sweeping motion of his left arm, aiming to bisect him from just above the hips. If that did not work, Revan would jump into the air, as the the whip would be practically impossible to dodge by ducking with its low angle, and meet the man in mid air while rapidly retracting the whip that would be behind the man to meet the man from behind with its sharp end to impale him through his spinal area between the shoulders.
