When will we start the roleplay?
We will start when I have a total of 28 RPers, including myself. There should be 14 girls and 14 boy. Also, all 'Teacher' roles must be filled.
What's going on with the dorm rooms?
After I have all the necesary characters, I will be assigning everbody dorm rooms based on their age.
What happens if I break a rule?
The first time, you will be given a warning, the second time, you will be watched more closely, and the third, you will be banned.
Where do I post my CS?
Post it in the overview. Once it's approved, I will move it to the list of approved characters. Same with the RP sample for the teacher.
How many characters are allowed?
You are currently allowed 2 orphans, and you may sign up for 1 teacher. THese numbers may or may not go up later.

"I am Headmistress Valerie Valentear. Call me Mrs. Val. There are five floors in this building. The first holds my office, the lobby, and the administrator's office. If you have any problems, you will come down here. However, if you waste my time, you will be punished very severely. The second floor contains the classrooms. There are four teachers- Mrs. Vasquez teaches reading and writing, Ms. Nelson teaches history and spanish, Dr. Phillips teaches math and science, and Mr. Wallace teaches the fine arts. Mr. Phillips is also in charge of the experiments, and Mr. Wallace is in charge of the rehabilitation after the experiments. I suggest that you do NOT anger them, as they will report to me and I will make sure you are punished accordingly. The third and fourth floors are the dorms for all you children. The boys are on the fourth floor, and the girls are on the third. I must warn you to not go to the fifth floor, however. Why? Oh I'd love to tell you! That is where orphans like you get experimented on! Now do not worry. We draw it from a hat and it'll only hurt for a bit! And if you'd like to volunteer, we're happy to have you! By the way, if you even try to get out of this orphanage, I'm sure the Brothers will get you. Oh, haven't you heard of the Brothers? They are the horrible brutal beasts who live under this building. You cannot escape while they are here, and will never leave or be destroyed as long as I’m here. Even if I'm not here, they'll still be indestructible. Every week we feed the brothers the children who have perished in the experiments. And even if you do get past the brothers, then you'll head into the woods, where there are monsters worse than the brothers. So, welcome to the Orphanage, my dear children....”

Once, there had been secret rebellions against the Orphanages. They were known as the Defiance Factor. Created by children who hated the Headmistress and her monsters, their main goal was to save the other children, and though only a few were in the group, others soon started to join. It was inevitable that the Headmistress found out about it, She threw the fugitives to the Brothers, who hungrily devoured them. The estimated number had been over 20 children eaten alive. Still, the Defiance Factor is alive, but kept a bigger secret than before. Recently however, a rumor had spread around the orphanage that a city outside of the woods had been located. Children kept whispering and talking about it as if it were true. When she caught wind of it, the Headmistress made clear that it was fake and most of the children dropped their hopes. However, not all of them really gave up. You are roleplaying as a child in the orphanage. Will you join the Rebellion?

RP Sample:
Mrs Vazquez leaned against her desk, fighting the urge to look out of the window again. Teaching the younger children was her least part of the day. How many times did she have to tell them how to spell the word "amazing" or what the difference was between a b and a d. Not that the older classes were much better. She could see during their lessons that most of them couldn't care less about the subject, and, to be honest, she couldn't blame them. She remembered her own high school days being much the same. She had thought that when she dropped out she would be free to do what she wanted and go where she would like to go, with no adults telling her off for the cigarettes she bought from the corner shop and smoked in the corner at recess. So what if she'd lied about her age a few times then? She'd thought that being older would let her do it whenever, but no, it was always the "Oh no Dani, you can't smoke in the classrooms, it might damage our precious children's health." She hated being called Dani as well, it made her sound like one of those girls who always gossiped about romance and celebrities and gasped when they saw someone they liked. She hated most things about this orphanage actually. She couldn't wait to get out of this classroom and get a drink and a cigarette.
With a start she realized that she'd been ignoring the class for about ten minutes, and one of the boys had been sitting patiently with his hand up for a couple of minutes now. She knew none of them would dare to shout out to her - they'd learnt that lesson one day when she'd had a couple of beers before coming into the classroom, and one little girl had shouted out one of the answers without Mrs Vazquez telling her to. When Ms Nelson had popped her head round the door to ask what the noise was, she had quickly smiled and passed it off as a falling chair. Ms Nelson hadn't looked convinced, but she'd gone back to her own classroom and said nothing more about it. She couldn't see how Ms Nelson always stayed so cheerful and upbeat. She wanted to slap her sometimes, it was so annoying. All this business about "giving the children the best education they possibly can" just didn't affect Mrs Vazquez. She honestly wouldn't care if they left now without learning another word. Knowing how to use adverbs in the passive tense had never helped her once in life, apart from getting her this shitty job at this shitty orphanage in the middle of nowhere. She almost wanted to leave right here and now, but she knew that the meager wage she got here was the only thing keeping her alive and with her only two friends: cigarettes and alcohol. She looked up at the clock - still another half-hour until she got out of here for a couple of minutes while the brats had recess. With another sigh, she marched over to the boy with his hand up and scribbled crosses over his paper in red pen before going back to the blackboard and slumping against it. Just another day in this hellhole.

Bio: From the minute she was born, Riley was portrayed on the news as "The Smartest Girl Who Ever Lived." Riley lived a normal life as a happy, intelligent, funny little girl who loved to read until her 1st birthday, when her father died. Although she didn't know it, he was once a child at the orphanage. In fact, he was the leader of the rebellion, meaning he was in charge of the secret city, and Riley was supposed to follow in his footsteps, ruling and helping orphans to be safe from cruel orphanages all over the world. However, the Brothers eventually tracked her father down and killed him. On her 2nd birthday, her mother remarried, a cruel man named Stephan Gabeson. Stephan was also at the orphanage, but he helped the Brothers kill people. He abused Riley severely, in many ways. On her 3rd birthday, her mother died of lung cancer. The beatings from Stephan continued. On her fourth birthday, Christmas Day, she ran away with a backpack containing a tent, a change of clothes, six books, and ten dollars. One hour later, the police found her and took her to the orphanage.

Bio: Poppy grew up with a group of homeless children on the street, learning how to hide and steal. She quickly learnt how to charm adults with her big innocent eyes and cute smile, while picking their pocket at the same time. Her life was going ok, until the day she tried to pick Mr Phillips's pocket. He saw through it and took her to the orphanage as another child for his experiments, knowing no-one would miss her. While at the orphanage, she still kept up her thieving ways, and the talent for invisibility given to the experiments has only improved her success. She is quite popular among the orphans, despite her habit of stealing, for her easy to talk to, bubbly attitude to life.

Experiment Results: Can create illusions of objects or people, can only see out of one eye, when he opens the other, he sees visions for approximately a minute.
Bio: Aren's mum died when he was two years old and he lived with his father for the next three years. When he was five he was diagnosed with an unknown disease in his eye. The doctor said that he could do nothing and Aren was about to die when the Headmistress stepped in, offering to take him in and have her personal staff try and cure him. Aren's father was desperate and he gave in. After a few days, the Headmistress came back to him, saying that the experiments had proved successful, but Aren's condition was likely to be unstable for the rest of his life, and so she recommended that he stayed at the orphanage where he could be watched closely by the same people who had saved his life. Since then, he has had a very close relationship with the Headmistress - she is the closest thing he has to a mother figure, and she can trust him with tasks she wouldn't trust any other orphan with. Now, fearing there might be a few of the children still believing in the Rebellion, she is using him to find out more about the orphans, telling him to do anything necessary to find out what she needs to know.

Rebellion: Secretly wishes the rebellion will overpower the orphanage so she can escape.
Experiment Results: Has started to hear thoughts that haven't come from her own head and is beginning to be able to manipulate minds slightly. The drawback from this are excessive loss of appetite and nausea where she can not eat anything for up to 4 weeks or until the headmistress forces her to. She also suffers from fits while she is sleeping but the orphanage has brushed it off as nightmares.
Bio:
Avery was born to a junkie dad and an unemployed mother though they both loved her dearly they couldn't take crd of her on minimum wage and instead left the baby on her aunts doorstep. Her Aunt Meredith took the child but never really loved avery instead exploiting her. From the age of three she would put Avery in front of the piano and next to the Cello forcing her to play for up to 14 hours a day. Avery soon gained much talent and started to rake in money from crowds of adoring people who thought the girls talent amazing for her age. This continued until Avery was 9 every year her talent growing more and more widely known. The soon caught the attention of the child protective services when they started to wonder how the girl gained all her knowledge and skill, they investigated and through listening devices and cameras figure out how Avery's aunt Meredith was forcing Avery to play for countless hours they claimed this was child neglect and abuse and so removed very from her care and placed her in the orphanage.

Rebellion: Adrian loves to rebel, he doesn't agree at all with the way things are being ran. He often disobeys orders and will try to get away from the orphanage though "the voices in his head" always stop him.
Experiment Results: Adrian now experiences hearing voices in his head that aren't his own, as well as somewhat being able to see the future/predict things. (example: he'll know when someone's going to known on the door prior to it happening.)
Bio: Adrian ran away from his own home when he was young, he wasn't sure where he was going but eventually found the orphanage. He thought it seemed normal enough, big mistake on his part. He has been living here since the age of five. He wasn't rebellious at first but this grew on him the more he started to hate this place. This all started when the experiments began. Adrian doesn't talk much to other kids either, he doesn't see why he should even need to talk.

To protect his sister from further experimentation Dimitri keeps his alliance with the rebellion a secret. He obeys the teachers and Headmistress even with being filled with hatred for the entire organization. He believes in the town outside the woods and plans on escaping with Serenity.
Experiment Results: (What happened to them because of the Experiments?)
Dimitri is blind in his left eye and the right is slowly fading as well due to an experimentation gone wrong. As a result, however, he now has the ability to move things at will. With the help of Mr. Hestand, he hopes to build up his strength to generate a 'shield' as this is another of his abilities thus far.

It was never planned; from the very beginning things took a turn for the worst. Moving from town to town with his workaholic mother who hardly ever paid any mind to his sleazy father who slept with just about anything. Neither parent was ever truly available when called upon so why stay? It was the night before Dimitri's sixth birthday when he made the decision to leave home in search of 'a better family'. What he found instead was the orphanage. How he made it through the forest has yet to be figured out though may never truly be solved. His first night at the place was normal enough but after that he began hearing odd noises at night and being a curious child, he found himself on the top level of the house. Such horrid sights...
As a result of disobeying the rule of staying to the lower levels, Dimitri was experimented on. After the experiments were finished he left the top level and didn't look back. A couple months after his returning to 'normal' he met Serenity, who was only two at the time. (See her bio for further information) From then on Dimitri has watched after the girl closely and called her his little sister.

Experiment Results:
Firstly, the surgery done at the age of two gave her sight and the ability to see one's soul and heart. Secondly, she can see a person's darkest secrets and past through touch.
Bio:
Serenity has no knowledge of her life before the orphanage as it all took place before she turned two. After the age of two she was handed over to the orphanage by her parents, two past scientists who believed that these experiments could help the growth of humanity. They were, of course, insane. Giving their baby girl, who was born both mute and blind, to the orphanage as a 'gift'. She's been there ever since and where she became acquainted with her big brother, Dimitri, and now the two of them are inseparable.
After turning three it became apparent that her voice was indeed lost but her eyes were an easy fix for Mr. Phillips. She was given artificial eyes giving her sight and the gift of knowing. Looking into someone's heart and soul is something that no one knows about besides the Headmistress. During further experimentation and having several substances injected into her blood stream, Serenity can do something wondrous. With the slightest brush of someone's skin she can see their past though not the future, their fears, and every deep dark secret they keep. Because this ability scared some of the children the missus gave the child a pair of specialty gloves that suppress her ability. She is put on strict orders not to remove the gloves.

She quickly learnt how to charm adults with her big innocent eyes and cute smile, while picking their pocket at the same time. Her life was going ok, until the day she tried to pick Mr Phillips's pocket. He saw through it and took her to the orphanage as another child for his experiments, knowing no-one would miss her. While at the orphanage, she still kept up her thieving ways, and the talent for invisibility given to the experiments has only improved her success. She is quite popular among the orphans, despite her habit of stealing, for her easy to talk to, bubbly attitude to life.

Rebellion: Knows about the rebellion but not part of it, but has been instructed by the headmistress to report anything he hears straight to her.
Experiment Results: Can create illusions of objects or people, can only see out of one eye, when he opens the other, he sees visions for approximately a minute.
Bio: Aren's mum died when he was two years old and he lived with his father for the next three years. When he was five he was diagnosed with an unknown disease in his eye. The doctor said that he could do nothing and Aren was about to die when the Headmistress stepped in, offering to take him in and have her personal staff try and cure him. Aren's father was desperate and he gave in. After a few days, the Headmistress came back to him, saying that the experiments had proved successful, but Aren's condition was likely to be unstable for the rest of his life, and so she recommended that he stayed at the orphanage where he could be watched closely by the same people who had saved his life. Since then, he has had a very close relationship with the Headmistress - she is the closest thing he has to a mother figure, and she can trust him with tasks she wouldn't trust any other orphan with. Now, fearing there might be a few of the children still believing in the Rebellion, she is using him to find out more about the orphans, telling him to do anything necessary to find out what she needs to know.

Rebellion: Secretly wishes the rebellion will overpower the orphanage so she can escape.
Experiment Results: Has started to hear thoughts that haven't come from her own head and is beginning to be able to manipulate minds slightly. The drawback from this are excessive loss of appetite and nausea where she can not eat anything for up to 4 weeks or until the headmistress forces her to. She also suffers from fits while she is sleeping but the orphanage has brushed it off as nightmares.
Bio:
Avery was born to a junkie dad and an unemployed mother though they both loved her dearly they couldn't take crd of her on minimum wage and instead left the baby on her aunts doorstep. Her Aunt Meredith took the child but never really loved avery instead exploiting her. From the age of three she would put Avery in front of the piano and next to the Cello forcing her to play for up to 14 hours a day. Avery soon gained much talent and started to rake in money from crowds of adoring people who thought the girls talent amazing for her age. This continued until Avery was 9 every year her talent growing more and more widely known. The soon caught the attention of the child protective services when they started to wonder how the girl gained all her knowledge and skill, they investigated and through listening devices and cameras figure out how Avery's aunt Meredith was forcing Avery to play for countless hours they claimed this was child neglect and abuse and so removed very from her care and placed her in the orphanage.

Rebellion: Adrian loves to rebel, he doesn't agree at all with the way things are being ran. He often disobeys orders and will try to get away from the orphanage though "the voices in his head" always stop him.
Experiment Results: Adrian now experiences hearing voices in his head that aren't his own, as well as somewhat being able to see the future/predict things. (example: he'll know when someone's going to known on the door prior to it happening.)
Bio: Adrian ran away from his own home when he was young, he wasn't sure where he was going but eventually found the orphanage. He thought it seemed normal enough, big mistake on his part. He has been living here since the age of five. He wasn't rebellious at first but this grew on him the more he started to hate this place. This all started when the experiments began. Adrian doesn't talk much to other kids either, he doesn't see why he should even need to talk.

To protect his sister from further experimentation Dimitri keeps his alliance with the rebellion a secret. He obeys the teachers and Headmistress even with being filled with hatred for the entire organization. He believes in the town outside the woods and plans on escaping with Serenity.
Experiment Results: (What happened to them because of the Experiments?)
Dimitri is blind in his left eye and the right is slowly fading as well due to an experimentation gone wrong. As a result, however, he now has the ability to move things at will. With the help of Mr. Hestand, he hopes to build up his strength to generate a 'shield' as this is another of his abilities thus far.

It was never planned; from the very beginning things took a turn for the worst. Moving from town to town with his workaholic mother who hardly ever paid any mind to his sleazy father who slept with just about anything. Neither parent was ever truly available when called upon so why stay? It was the night before Dimitri's sixth birthday when he made the decision to leave home in search of 'a better family'. What he found instead was the orphanage. How he made it through the forest has yet to be figured out though may never truly be solved. His first night at the place was normal enough but after that he began hearing odd noises at night and being a curious child, he found himself on the top level of the house. Such horrid sights...
As a result of disobeying the rule of staying to the lower levels, Dimitri was experimented on. After the experiments were finished he left the top level and didn't look back. A couple months after his returning to 'normal' he met Serenity, who was only two at the time. (See her bio for further information) From then on Dimitri has watched after the girl closely and called her his little sister.

It's obvious from what she's observed that several children are with the rebellion but Dimitri is not one. She too wishes to support the cause though keeps it under wraps.
Experiment Results:
Firstly, the surgery done at the age of two gave her sight and the ability to see one's soul and heart. Secondly, she can see a person's darkest secrets and past through touch.
Bio:
Serenity has no knowledge of her life before the orphanage as it all took place before she turned two. After the age of two she was handed over to the orphanage by her parents, two past scientists who believed that these experiments could help the growth of humanity. They were, of course, insane. Giving their baby girl, who was born both mute and blind, to the orphanage as a 'gift'. She's been there ever since and where she became acquainted with her big brother, Dimitri, and now the two of them are inseparable.
After turning three it became apparent that her voice was indeed lost but her eyes were an easy fix for Mr. Phillips. She was given artificial eyes giving her sight and the gift of knowing. Looking into someone's heart and soul is something that no one knows about besides the Headmistress. During further experimentation and having several substances injected into her blood stream, Serenity can do something wondrous. With the slightest brush of someone's skin she can see their past though not the future, their fears, and every deep dark secret they keep. Because this ability scared some of the children the missus gave the child a pair of specialty gloves that suppress her ability. She is put on strict orders not to remove the gloves.
