Fantasy ((The Mata Clan))

Kairyn

A Fox

Misaki glanced at the group of teens behind her.

"Well, here it is! Here's where we going to live!"

Misaki announced, giddily. She turned around and spread her arms out wide.

"Here!"

Misaki took out keys that were duplicated. She quickly counted each of them: 9 keys.

9 for each of them, including herself. She quickly tossed them to each member of the
family or you might say, the clan. Misaki turned back, facing the house. She walked up the stairs and put the key in, turning it.

With a tiny click, the house door opened.

Once the metal of the key touched his fingers, Dominique was practically splitting it in double-time. Offering a wide smile to Misaki, he began running away from the rest of the group before he dropped his skateboard onto the ground beside him. When he quickly hopped onto the skateboard and began riding down the road, he turned back to the clan and waved while the wheels continued spinning. "I'll be back in a little while!"

Dominique was hungry. He needed to purchase some stuff from the store anyway, and it wasn't as though the city was unfamiliar - the young man had spent his entire life growing up around the area. Since the house that the group had decided to move into was barely on the outskirts, Dominique didn't see any harm in getting out. In between the suburban-like street and the city was a dip in land, separated by a staircase that led down into the urban area. So, Dominique found a rail that led down the staircase and jumped into the air. He performed an ollie, taking his skateboard with him as he propelled himself into the air.

The wood of the skateboard landed horizontally onto the metal railing, right at the middle. Balancing his stance so that he wouldn't tip over in any direction, Dominique continued grinding all the way down. Below was a popular basketball court connected to a small park, which led into the city. Knowing that he would fall if he followed the staircase to the side in addition to the metal railing, Dominique would now face a choice; either hit the small concrete wall before him which led the staircase sideways, or attempt to hop over the gate and land in the basketball court. Obviously, he attempted the latter.

So, Dominique jumped from the railing, turning a hundred and eighty degrees to the right as his board cleared the top of the gate. Unfortunately, when Dominique landed on the ground, his board had done so sideways. So, the young man fell onto his behind, skidding back a couple of inches in the process. Upon doing so, a couple of people who were lingering about had decided to check if he was okay. One man helped Dominique up to his feet, and the young man thanked the stranger for doing so. Walking over to one of it's ends, Dominique kicked the edge of the board closest to him. This caused the opposite end to shoot up into the air, and allowed him to grab it.

Turning to the group, Dominique chatted the three up. Two were females, and obviously there was the one male. They exchanged formalities, with Dominique embodying his aloof sense of self along with his famous million-dollar smile - the same one which was responsible for getting him out of trouble time in and out again over the years. Dominique seemed loose and completely genuine the entire conversation, and he was. He didn't act as though he had just taken some minor damage in the fall, despite doing so. It didn't really hurt that bad, otherwise he would have made more of a scene. During the conversation, Dominique flailed his extremities around as he spoke - something that was common when he was talking. He expressed himself using his hands. Yeah, one of those people.

"This place? Seriously? Well, what can we do, eh. Let's get on building. I'll talk to you later, ladies and gentlemen, I need to set the network." Jason rushed first, with a cart full of stuff. CPUs, monitors, gadgets of all sorts. Most of them were repurposed or refurbished by Jason himself, since he lived more with the machines than with the humans. "Well would you look at that. Let's claim a large room, shall we?" He roamed around the place, looking at each and every room, his cart squeaking around him the entire time. "Large, large, there! This will be perfect!" He dropped the handle of the cart in the middle of the room. The bed was pinned to the wall, and there was a nice space to put anything he wanted on the bottom of it. He left the room, looking for an old table, anything that could hold his gadgetry. Returning to the room, he placed the new found table under the bed, mounted his things. He took the large TV that was on the cart, and placed on the wall. He made wonders on that, considering he bought it from a second hand shoppe, and it was almost falling apart. Now the TV is hooked up to the wall, with a little stylizing, made by Jason. "Doo dee doo, time to log in!" Finishing setting up, he turned on the router, plugged the TV into the PC, and laid on the bed. "Let's test the connection, shall we?" With a chuckle, and a flash of his eyes, he dropped unconscious. And at the same time, his character, Aladrium, the Firelord, top player of the Seven Scrolls MMORPG, logged in.

"It's the only one I could afford."

Misaki rolled her eyes. She then trailed behind Jason, deciding not to go to her bedroom.

She first entered the living room then taking a seat at the couch. She reached for the remote on the table and started to scroll through the channels.

She kept seeing silly commercials about game shows, animals, and cartoons. At last, she came upon a channel full of anime. Misaki let out a sigh of relief. She put back the remote on the table, laying horizontally. Her feet resting on the arm rest and her head resting on the other.

"Large, large, there! This will be perfect!" Misaki heard him holler, she turned her head towards Jason.

Being the 'mommy' takes a lot of energy. Working while the rest just laze around and play with the technology.

Misaki mused, doubling over, facing away from the TV. She lets out a yawn and closed her eyes, as the TV showed Japanese commercials that Misaki could not even understand. She really appreciated the subtitles.

Misaki laid there with her eyes closed. She yet still didn't go to sleep. Her eyes fluttered opened as she sat up straight on the couch.

Misaki took the remote from the TV and turned it off.

"You know. ."

Misaki smiled, her eyes turning a crimson red for a while then disappearing. What appeared to the others was that she had two gray cat ears, a tail, and her eyes was a normal light green. When really, she were a normal self but with crimson red eyes. She deceived them. Misaki walked to Jason's room and entered it.

"I heard there were nekos living here." reference

Misaki said, grinning, her tail flicking.

William glanced down at the key in his hand, still not entirely sure why he was here with the others. He wasn't like them, he knew, they were different in various ways, they could change what people saw, change their minds, they bent the laws of reality. He, on the other hand, was perfectly normal, aside from a case of rather severe amnesia.

He slipped away from the others, ducking his head in the hopes that they wouldn't notice his departure. He didn't hate the others, per se, but he had a strong animosity toward them. He didn't agree with them using their powers, though he knew that if he was in their place, he would use them, too. He knew they didn't much care for normal humans either, which made his presence among them even more bewildering.

He shook his head, picking out a room and opening the door. It seemed as though someone had already come through and put in the basics of furnishings in the room, and he momentarily wondered if this one had already been claimed. Seeing that there was no signs of another persons belongings in the room, he decided to claim it himself, tossing his bag onto the bed and kicking the door closed behind him. With any luck, he wouldn't be bothered for a little while he unpacked his small number of belongings and settled in.

Surprisingly, Jason's room was already a mess. Although lots of boxes were still packed, the the PC's monitor and the TV showing a game character plowing through loads of monsters. "Hahaha, all shall bow to the power of the Firelord!" He screamed, his voice echoing through the whole room. Apparently, he installed speakers through the whole room, so the sound was coming from everywhere. The monsters flickered on the floor, burning, then with a faint light, their bodies disappeared, leaving only loot. Other players cheered, and came to congratulate Jason. "Alright guys, I gotta go, I have some stuff to handle yet. My wi-fi is blinking again. See you on the other side." With that, the TV went black for some moments, then showed the desktop like usual. Jason stretched and bolted up from his bed. He gave it a look at the wi-fi spots on the walls. "I guess I need to expand this signal. I bet the rest of the gang will want to use it." He climbed down and saw Misaki. "Hey there. Nice room, eh? Fits my style. What's up with the cat ears? Do I need to call you Misaki-neko, now?" He laughed as he moved some boxes around. "So, what issues you have with the Firelord?" He opened one of the boxes and pulled three rerouters.

Misaki frowned at the name Jason was planning to call her, but deceived them to make her seem like she was smiling.

"Like you were saying, expand the signal."

She said, then shrugging. She looked up and played with her cat ears.

"Huh, should I keep this?"

Misaki asked, leaving her ears alone. She turning to the exit and walking out. She paused and turn back toward Jason, leaning against the door frame, her tail flicking.

Esteve caught his key with a hidden smile. He was very glad to be away from plant and he followd a few into the building. Deciding to wander around, Esteve padded quietly inside exploring. The kitchen was awefully bright and the only contents in the fridge were a few boxes of juice, some fruit, uncooked meats, and condaments. Esteve closed the fridge, not hungry and started opening all of the drawers, not using his energy and using his eyes to see inside.

Sighing quietly at the little amount of food in the house, knowing he would probably go shopping later umless someone else has. Closing the cupboards and abandoning the kitchen, Esteve walked to the living room and sat down on the couch, near the edge so more people could sit down if needed. He looked longingly to the remote on the other side of the couch and sighed, content to sit in the silence in front of a blank screen.

"Eh, I'll stop it for now."

Misaki said, talking to herself. She walked away out of Jason's view and soon stopped using her power. Her eyes faded to a light green.

Misaki went to the living room, sitting at the opposite side where Esteve was sitting at. She rested her elbow on the arm rest, resting her head onto her palm. She stared at the blank screen.

"Do you want me to turn it on?"

Misaki asked, turning her head towards Esteve.

Smiling at his own joke, he opened one of the rerouters, and started fiddling with it. "Definitely. I think you look... purrfect..." Jason cracked up. He plugged a cable inside of the rerouter, then closed it back. "Although using your power for such trivialities will end up making you distracted. But if you dig it, go for it." He followed Misaki to the door, then headed to the living room, to start the install. "So, what we're gonna do now? I mean, the money you saved was spent on buying this house, and although everyone has some cash, at some point we will need to start working. I can always hog some cash from some ATMs, but I believe you want us to keep a low profile, right?" He finished plugging the rerouter, and turned it on. "There, this should work for this part of the house. I'll find myself some food. Do you guys want some?" He pointed the screwdriver at Misaki and then Esteve.

"I don't know, I'll hand my decision to Esteve."

Misaki shrugged, glancing at Esteve. She did not really care where she was going in a nutshell.

Esteve shrugged and spoke, his voice surprising unmuffled by the mask, but it held a slight monotone compared to his original voice. "You can if you want to Misaki, and I'll be fine for food, thank you Jason. However I am handing Misaki's decision back to herself." Esteve grinned to Misaki as he spoke the last sentence in her voice, he wasn't going to make any food-related decisions for her, afterall, he doesn't know what kind of foods she likes. Esteve chuckled quietly and his eyes glew crimson, assuring himself the safety of the building within a 5 kilometer radius. After checking his eyes returned to their normal electric blue and he watched both Misaki and Jason, amused.

Misaki took a quick sniff at Esteve then turns back towards Jason.

"I'll go."

She said, standing besides Jason.

"How much mulah do you have on you?"

Misaki asked.

Money was everything, that what most people not intending to say. It's EVERYWHERE. Prices prices! It shook Misaki's world, on how supporting her life and others would be so much trouble. Why did she even give them a home and not to herself? It would be less of the paying and more of herself.

Misaki poked her heads through the aisles of a toy store. She gathered up toys that added up to $563.99. Misaki was just a little girl at that time, not knowing how much it really was when her mother had to do all the paying. She put the toys on the counter,

"This this and this!" Misaki yelled, giddily. Her mother looked at Misaki, cocking her head.

"Only get ONE of those toys." Her mother ordered.

"But Mom! Why not ALL of those toys!" She replied. Her mother responded with a shake of her head. Misaki let out a sigh of defeat as she ran around the aisles to put her toys away, only coming back with a Pokemon action figure pack, the pack holding Lucario, Dialga, and Absol.

"We don't have money trees growing in our back yard." Misaki's mother muttered as she paid the action figure pack.

"If every tree were money trees, It would be great! The trees could make the air cleaner and give homeless people money to buy food!" Misaki says, smiling. Misaki's mother laughed at how naive she was.

These tiny flashbacks would remind Misaki of herself, the greatest burden of her life. Who was Misaki anyway? There was no definite, she could be anyone and live as that person. What was Misaki's true identity? She could get away from any crime, just by a quick sniff, listening, and seeing. She was the living 'Get out of Jail Free' card.

Bidding the nice group of people farewell, Dominique nodded to the group and began to run off. Within a couple of paces from the start, he dropped his board and skated out of the park and into the city, reaching the first convenience store within a block. Not a bad distance, but not the shortest walk unfortunately. When he walked inside, Dominique was sure to pick his skateboard up and place it under his arm. He walked through the isles, grabbed some appropriate items and found himself at the cash register within fifteen minutes of entering the establishment.

Dominique dropped a cinnamon roll, cheese puffs, sunflower seeds, a couple bottles of soda and some beef jerky. At the register itself, he ordered a fried taquito, ordered a cigar from the back and asked for a total at the end. Twenty bucks? Dominique dropped Andrew Jackson's face onto the counter and moseyed on out with a bag full of his shit in one hand and his skateboard under the opposite arm. That should cover the $19.97 charge.

He skated on back. Upon reaching the front, he noticed Misaki, Esteve, and Jason hanging on about. Making sure to slow down by hopping off of the skateboard and kicking it up into his hand, he approached the group with a smile before stopping completely. Looking between the three, Dominique spoke first.
"What y'all got goin' on? Headin' to town?" The corners of his lips lifted upright as he asked inquisitively.

"Yeah,"

Misaki responded from her daily daze back to the past. Who am I? Misaki thought, it really shaken her up. These people don't even know if this was what the real Misaki looked like. Misaki even herself forgotten who really was. She was like the walking corpse. More of a ditto, a pokemon that can change to another. She could be a nerdy person who has no life, to a prostitute that fantasizes, or a dirty ol' man. The possibilities could be endless to your own imagination. I'll leave it up to you, Who is Misaki?

Fingers grazed against the key that was now in her hand. Yvonne remained near the entrance, her attention switching from one person to the next as they got aquatinted with the new space now called 'home'. Holding various of fashion magazines close to her chest, the girl took a step forward to peek around in the living room to see three others talk about going out into town which didn't exactly keen to her interests. Looking over her shoulder once Dominique began to speak, she sniffed quietly before turning her head towards the kitchen and found that would be a suitable place for her to relax in for a while before heading to her room.

"
If you guys are going into town," she called out while moseying around Dominique to walk towards the appointed room. "Can you buy me another fashion magazine?" the request was asked even though she doubted anyone would. In fact, she would probably just get a typical response of 'why don't you get it yourself' but she had some reading she needed to get done before the day was over - some looks about in this seasons fashion look-books for some fresh ideas.

Settling the magazines on the dining table, Yvonne slipped out of her pink cardigan and draped it on a chair, sitting down shortly afterwards. She took a quick look around the area, familiarizing with the new surrounding before smiling by giving a magazine her devoted attention while waiting for a response; if there was to be one. It didn't matter either way since she was quite content with the reading materials already in possession. Clearing her throat after flipping through a few pages, she peered over her shoulder to look at the small group. If this was to be her new home amongst the others, perhaps it was more appropriate to mingle with them when they went into town instead but the love for just reading about fashion was too passionate.

"Is there a specific fashion magazine?"

Misaki asked, turning toward Yvonne.

"If you'd like, you come with us."

Dominique raised his eyebrows slightly, looking upon the various figures. His eyes traced the form of Yvonne as she moved on along, top row of teeth grazing his bottom lip as he watched her move into the house. When she moved away from his sight, he took an extra second to look at the ground before shaking his head. God damn. When he caught himself nodding off in a day dream, he informed the others that he would be seeing them later before walking into the house for the first time, himself. Because K, the writer, didn't understand that people were actually outside, and not in any appointed room, we're going to go ahead and just say that she walked outside momentarily before walking back inside. This will make things less complicated. Wonderful!

Leaving his skateboard in the mud room beside the door, Dominique used his free hand to remove the hat on his head. This revealed longer-length haphazard hair, which he shook out along with his head when he moved it side to side. He even ran his hair through it a couple of times to make sure that the dreaded hat hair syndrome hadn't been inflicted upon his dome before he continued moving toward where he presumed his room would be. On the way, he noticed Yvonne in the kitchen, so he whistled loudly as he walked by. Yeah, what a douche bag. At the end, though, he was really just playing around. Dominique didn't mean to seem antagonistic. He was just attracted by the woman's looks. Simply put, right? Could anybody not guess that at this moment?

His key didn't fit the mold for a couple of the doors that belonged to rooms in the house. Other doors to rooms were open, but occupied all the same. When Dominique finally found his room, he was relieved because he had reached the mindset that he missed out on getting a room all together. Not bothering to shut the door, the teen placed his bag on the top of his bed before looking around. Who the hell furnished this place? How did they get enough money together to afford it? Were they renting? Plenty of questions arose, but Dominique decided to place his worries at the back of his head. After all, when the time came, he would figure it out. That was good enough. Breaking out some of his beef jerky, he ripped the top of the packaging off and grabbed a piece to chew.

Akashi dangled the cool metal keys in between his fingers, eying them as if they would slip from his fingers any moment.

Moving was always hard for him, but not particularly in this case. He felt this environment so much more welcoming and inviting than the other's, and the reason for that was mostly because of the people who traveled with him. They were a relaxed bunch, and Akashi felt comfortable with them. Walking behind those who entered the new house, Akashi surveyed the area and noted the space and coziness of the whole interior. He continued on to find his room, and when Akashi found the room that matched his key, The boy wandered in, completely in awe of Misaki's generosity. Amazed, Akashi made his way in and felt the fabrics and materials that were already placed in the room. It was so different than what he was used to, but it was wonderful.

Turning on his heel, he wandered back in to the living room to find the bunch discussing something, and didn''t want to disturb or disrupt the conversation. He gave a half-hearted smile to those around him, probably something they wouldn't exactly notice, but something he liked doing. Walking in to an unexplored room, he found Yvonne reading those fashion magazines she loved so much. He laughed slightly, not at her, but at the fact that he was slightly envious of her commitment to something that made her so happy. He walked around the kitchen, scoping out drawers, cupboards, pantries, basically everything.

"God, what do people even do after they move in? Sit around awkwardly? Work?" The boy thought as he stood in the center of the kitchen. Akashi dragged a hand through his hair and sighed, then put his hands in the pockets of his sweatshirt. Walking over to the table where Yvonne sat, He pulled out a chair and awkwardly lowered himself on to it. "I hope you don't mind..." He said with a light chuckle at the end, trying to sound as least creepy as possible. "Why are you acting all stupid? You know these people, it shouldn't be awkward." His more social and less weird side said said in his head.

(Sorry for the late reply, I was out all day ;- ;)

Esteve sighed and stood up from the couch, giving a brief farewell to the group and he walked to the kitchen, a small hello to the two and Esteve walked to the cupboard and grabbed a small glass and set it down on the counter. Esteve sauntered to the fridge and pulled oit a carton of juice and poured it into the glass until it was half full, looking at the two at the table he asked, "Would either of you like some orange juice?" Setting the carton down Esteve swished his orange juice in the cup, absent-mindedly waiting for an answer.

Akashi glanced up as Esteve offered the two of them some orange juice. "I would love some, If it's not too much trouble." He said to Esteve who stood above him. He glanced around the room, Mainly at Yvonne, wondering of she would reply.

"She looks really in to that stuff. That's kinda nice," Akashi had though with a smile directed to her. He looked up to Esteve and smiled.

"So are you liking the house so far?" He asked, trying to make a little conversation. He tousled his hair a bit, still feeling minutely awkward, but brushing it off. He would get used to his surroundings in time.

Esteve smiled behind his mask and pulled out another cup, filling it with orange juice quickly and putting the carton into the fridge. He grabbed bith glasses and walked towards the table, taking a seat near Akashi and passing him the full cup. "Here you are, and where are my manners.. I am Esteve by the way." The masked male looked down at his glass with a small sigh, not knowing if drinking it would make him sick. "As for my opinion on the house? I like it, a lot more than where I used to live anyways. How about you?" His curiosity was piqued on the other's answer, and the one girl seemed to be lost in her magazines. Esteve redirected his attention to Akashi calmly, a kind glint in his eyes as he spoke.
((Ello all! Currently Misakichan is having difficulties with her device, and it isn't allowing her to post on threads. She is expected to be back by the time the morning comes, all ready and able to post!))

((I'M SORRY DECOMPISITION!!))

Ah, the writer K, sends her apologies through Yvonne for not reading properly. Anyway. Turning back around in her seat, green hues began to scan several pages the magazine provided; each page fulfilling her wonder and passion. Yvonne licked her lips absently as she responded to Misaki, her voice loud enough to hear from the current position. "Preferably a Vogue magazine. I'd like to stay and get adjusted, if that's alright!" said the girl before diving back into her magazines. Some would think that her love for fashion was slightly unhealthy, spending countless of hours learning anything about it, but it was her escape from everything that was all negative. It brought a smile on her face and that's what mattered, but of course; she knew her limits.

Intentionally ignoring the whistle that was directed towards her, Yvonne took a moment to roll her eyes. Whoever whistled could just come up to her and actually verbalize with her instead of shooting petty cat calls. It was kind of embarrassing. When she heard a chair next to her move, her attention tore away from the item in front of her and averted her eyes towards the male taking a sit in it. She shook her head and smiled, saying '
I don't mind at all!' before returning to her prior position. Just then, another member of the household entered the kitchen as well, asking both her and Akashi if they wanted some orange juice.

Albeit feeling a tad annoyed, Yvonne looked up again and flickered her eyes to Esteve, shaking her head while tucking a few blonde strands behind her ear. "
I'm fine, thank you," she mumbled and looked down once more at the magazine, until she was asked about her opinion about the house. This time time around, the girl decided to close the journal since there was no point in getting her fill now that people where strike up a conversation. Not to say she didn't like it! It was rather enjoyable to socialize with others.

Smiling brightly, she hummed to herself as she had a look around the surroundings again before answering. "
I think it's nice. Cozy and warm, better than where I used to live. I think." she said in response, placing a hand on the table to lightly tap her fingers on the furniture.

MISAKICHAN'S POST!

"Sure."

Misaki responds. She makes her way to the kitchen and onto the table. She sits down on the chair near Akashi (sp).

"So.. er.. Who's going to pay the bills?" Misaki asks, clasping her hands together, intwining her fingers into one another.

"I could get some money.." Misaki says, grinning stupidly. She deceives them to make it seem like Misaki was a sexy hot lady, ready for stripping. "By getting money out of stray boys. I do not feel violated at all, It's not my real body. Misaki still does not prefer to do this methoe unless last resort. She plans to be a vet." Misaki smiled, speaking in third person.
