Before the events of Skyward Sword: "Three Golden Goddesses" descended upon Hyrule during it's time of chaos and destruction. The Goddess of Power: "Din", created their planet. The God Of Wisdom: "Nayru", bestowed order upon the world with he. The Goddess of Courage: "Farore", created life on this new world forged by the other two goddesses. The goddesses combined efforts created the base foundation for Hylia, and they split portions of their combined powers to create three triangles to secure inhabitants. Three triangles combined together to create: "The Triforce", and it was entrusted to the goddess Hylia during the Era of Hylia.
Eventually, a threat to the goddesses titled: "Demon King Demise", sought to take it and make the world his own. He raised an army of malevolent forces against Hyrule, to steal their Triforce for his nefarious purposes. Hylia evacuated the survivors on an outcrop of Earth, causing their country to soar into the sky. Hylia created Cloud Barriers beneath them to ensure safety. This outcrop would be collectively agreed to become known as: "Skyloft". Hylia in her dying breath would hide the: "Triforce" there as well for extra protection.
Hylia would gather surface tribes of: "Gorons", "Kikwi", "Mogma", "Parella" and the "Ancient Robots" to rebel against Demise's dominion, in her dying breath sealed the evil forces into another dimension. These agonizing Injuries inflicted on her by Demise and his army would slowly kill her. However, she was aware of this seal not being permanent and came up with a plan as: "The Triforce" could be obtained by their goddesses. She decided to renounce her soul's divinity and transfer it to an upcoming mortal when she reaches adulthood, as a preparation for Demise's eventual return. Nearing the end of her life: she would create the: "Goddess Sword", and its guardian: "Fi" to aid her chosen hero when he would reveal himself, and draw the sword from it's pedestal.
Thousands of years have passed, as we enter our: "Sky Era". Hylia was rebirth into Zelda, an inhabitant of: "Skyloft". Skyloft was preparing for its: "25th Annual Wing Ceremony" with Zelda and the other citizens grabbing decorations, setting up obstacles for the race, and trained their: "LoftWings" for entertainment shows.
