The Shape-shifting Master of Goatees and Darkness
Ok guys, here we will be posting NEWS of what's going in the rp. I code for a living so I'm not going out my way to code for a thing I do to relax (rp) but if someone wants to handle that be my guest.

So here we will have three levels of News. You'll have the Campus News, which will be about the going ons on campus. If there is a sports game, pep rally, car break-in, robbery, new president, new rules, etc. it will occur here! This will not only be limited to events, but editorial and investigative pieces too! So if your character is a journalism major or on the paper, and you want them to submit an article and have it featured, PM it to me or Aster for consideration.

The school's newspaper is called "The Daily Howl"

Though the majority of the posts here will be from campus news, because of the plots going on there will be times something hits the local or national news. Aster and I will decide if there's an event going on that necessitates a large scale news outlet.

Look out for the latest news!

"If you haven't heard by now,, there was a fight in the world Of Women's College Basketball. #3 Dubois was taking on Unranked Boston College. There had been chirping between #12 Dakota Gonzalez of the Wolves, and #11 Jessie Jones of the Eagles. Their rivalry had gone back to the game before, where there were some hard fouls and chirping there. If you can see in the video however, Jessie seems to mouth a word we cannot repeat on the air here, and Dakota then proceeds to throw the ball at her, before grabbing her shirt and then punching her knocking her out cold. If you remember Dakota, she started the brawl in the tournament a couple years ago when she was at Kansas. She had gotten help with her anger since, with very few incidents in between, but this is not the first time she has done this. We got word a few minutes ago she'll be suspended 10 games, which could end her career if the team doens't make a deep run in the ACC tournament and the NCAA tournament.

Dubois has released a statement
We have finished our investigation of the incident that occurred the other night. While it’s unfortunate that Dakota was faced with such a vile attack, violence is never the appropriate response and we have suspended Ms. Gonzalez. Her actions are a poor representation of conflict management that we strive to teach our students at Dubois. We hold our student to a higher standard, and have zero tolerance policy for violence. Dakota is a smart, hard working woman who knows how to better than this, and we know that she is remorseful and understands her punishment.

It should be also noted that Jessie Jones was suspended two games for her involvement in the incident. "

How's it going, millies? Hope you're sitting down because we've got something new for you, and it's good. By now you've heard about the craziness that went down at the basketball game. One of our beloved Gonzalez twins got a bit heated during the game and Boston's own Jesse James ended up catching some hands in the middle of court. Ouch. But she wasn't totally innocent as Jesse hurled racist insults at Dakota accodring to onlookers. But we already know about that. But what we don't know is whether or not one of our own was connected to the incident.

Some of you may know that Charlotte Kraus attends DuBois, maybe you've seen her around

Some of you may already be familiar with her, but if you're not. Here's the rundown. Charlie here is from Montgomery, Alabama, where yet another senseless murder of a unarmed black man by a white guy took place. This time, it was over a traffic dispute. The murder in question, Walter Kraus, is Charlotte's father. Funny how this incident with game cropped up around the time she came along don't you think? Don't let her being a student here rule out the possibility of her being involved. Trouble always finds a away to weasel into places and you this could be one of the many cases where the rotten apple didn't fall too far from the tree.

And College Basketball season is over! Your women's national Champions are the DuBois Lady Wolves! With a a heroic shot at the Buzzer Beater, Dakota Gonzalez sent the Mississippi State Lady Bulldogs packing. This was just ONE game after her twin, hit the game winning shot over the Undefeated UCONN Lady Huskies to get them to the championship.

Dakota finished the day with 13 points, 10 assists, two rebounds, and two steals to end her collegiate career. Her sister, on the other hand, finished the day with 24 points, 5 assists, and 10 rebounds to bring DuBois Lady Wolves its FIRST national title in basketball. The twins haven't announced their intentions of going to the WNBA or not, but they planned to let us know soon.

On the other side of the coin, the DuBois men's team did not match the success of their Women's falling short in the championship game by 12 points. This was not what they expected when they signed the number one high school prospect, Jae Brinson, but giving credit where credit was due, he had one hell of a game. Going 34 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists on top of 3 steals and 2 blocks, he becaeme the first player to ever have a triple double in the national championship of 30 points and lose. He wasn't very talkative at the press conference, and when asked about his future, he declined to answer stating we'd all know the answer in a few days. Many expect him to declare for the draft as he is a projected unanimous number one pick.

Who Needs an Alpha Male?
The lady wolves lead the pack, bringing home their first national championship in women's basketball. On the backs of the twin sisters, including much maligned star Point Guard Dakota Gonzalez, who only started playing halfway through the conference tournament after her suspension. What a road to redemption was she on, averaging a double double throughout the entire tournament of 21.3 ppg and 12.5 assists. Sunday evening was no different.

Dakota came out the gate running, scoring 10 points in the first six minutes to get her and her team out to a 10 point lead. She played as if she had a chip on her shoulder, going three for three from 3pt range, including a shot after her crossover left her opponent on the ground. She took the time to gather the ball up, square her elbow, and take a shot with that form that she has that people compare to Steph Curry. The shot seemed to not even touch the net, as it went through and she pounded her chest invoking the opposing coach to call a timeout.

Whatever was said in the timeout, seemed to have Dakota as a priority for their defense to stop but as one of the point guards with the highest efficiency rating in the history of the NCAA basketball, not just women's, she would not be denied. She would lead a charge to finish the half, gathering 5 assists including a pretty no look, backwards between the legs pass that needled through the paint to a cutting Delilah, who put it in for two of her twelve first half points.

Delilah continued to go on dominating offensively, crossing other players on her way to putting up 24 points. Alexandra Cross contributed with a big 15 of her own, even adding a dunk off a Dakota pass. Though Dakota only score three points in the second half, it was the biggest three points of her career.

After turning the ball over, Dakota rushed down court to play defense stopping a would be fastbreak. A few seconds later, she intercepted a pass and rushed down court, but Alexis Adale cut her lane to the basket off. With not many choices, and only two seconds left, Dakota side stepped, hopping behind the three point line near the corner, but more importantly creating space between her and the defender. With a half a second left on the clock, Dakota was in the air and the ball was gone sailing through the air.

"I don't know, when the ball was in the air...I felt like everything was in slow motion," said of Dakota about the last shot,"I swear I hit the ground ten seconds before the ball went it. I didn't even hear the buzzer go off in between, I was so focused on the ball."

The entire stadium seemed to share the same feeling, as you could hear a pin drop as the ball was in the air, but soon as it went through the net, the stadium erupted. Dakota ran across the court when the shot went in, throwing her jersey into the ground before being tackled by her teammates.

For a girl who was nearly kicked out of the NCAA altogether, to hero, Dakota has had a wonderful road of redemption.

"I know my sister better than anyone. Her emotion always gets her in trouble, but she never shies away from the big moment. And there was no moment bigger than that," Delilah spoke between breaths as she rubbed her forehead of sweat.

The twins haven't announced what they planned to do after they graduate, but for right now, they're champions. They are the Alpha Females of the DuBois Wolves, they lead the pack.

It Takes a Pack
Just one day after the girls took home their first ever championship, the boys laced up their sneakers to show the world that the ladies didn't run the pack. Going against number one seed Villanova, they seemed to have confidence.

Star Point Guard Jaeson Brinson spoke about it when a reporter asked about it the game before,"I mean, we've faced tough competition all year. It's just another game. We'll be ready."

It seemed he must have been speaking for himself, because outside of his performance the team had a dismal showing scoring only 56 points - a season low. What is even more head scratching is, Jae was involved in every last point scored. He played the entire game, not sitting down once, doing everything just to keep his team in it. A triple double with only 1 turnover, and a shooting percentage in the 50s (56% FG 66% 3pt) wasn't enough to do it.

"I don't know. I mean, the guys were getting to their spots. I just- I don't know."

Coach Williams seemed to be baffled by the display himself. There wasn't much to say, a disgruntled Brinson was seen visibly frustrated after handshakes. After the game during the press conference, when questioned about his future he seemed combative,"I don't know. I kind of just took a beating, I'm kind of not over that to think straight. You'll know in a few days, when my head's clear."

My fellow Wolves, I wouldn't hold my breath. Brinson is a generational type of talent, projected as the unanimous number one pick. There's no way he can stay in school. Let's just hope the Hawks get the first pick, so we can still see him play often.

Hey guys, the WNBA draft was last night, and a few of our own girls were picked! With the Second Pick of the draft, the Indiana Fever chose our very own Delilah Gonzalez. In her two years at DuBois, she averaged 23.3 Points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists. We wish her good luck on her next stage.

The big story of the night was where Dakota Gonzalez would go. Most experts figured that the WNBA couldn't afford a troublemaker like Dakota to hurt there representation, and that her best bet was overseas (though she'd stand to make a lot more money overseas.) Yet, she did get picked in the third round by the Atlanta Dream, but there is no word yet if she intended to play for the WNBA.
