The nobles of the Oscarian Kingdom have split into two factions, the red dragons, and the white dragons. Thus starts the dragon war. While the nobles of an already weak country fight for the throne, the church gains power from their fighting, and they are happy about the war, but they will not say that publicly. Admits the confusion the church is collecting anchient artifacts to resurrect an anchient evil. One that shouldn't be disturbed.

Knights Academy

Gathering hall.

All of the squires, archer, thiefs, and Mages have been called to meet at the gathering hall. It typically isn't normal for such a sudden call, but the students obey their orders and go to the hall. Most if them arrive early, and they are now either standing around, or they are talking amongst one another. Some talked about how the war was going, or how odd this calling was. "It's a little odd for such a sudden call," Noah said to his childhood friend Saccharin. During the great war Saccharin's father died in battle, and Noah's father (while he was still alive) decided to care for the boy, and the rest is history.

Saccharin went to the hall, still groggy from waking up. This better be good. They've disturbed my sleep. Ugh. He thought as he's walking through the corridor. He arrived a little bit early, so he decided to lean on the wall trying to get a little bit of rest before the meeting start. As soon as he close his eyes, he heard a familiar voice.

"It's a little odd for such a sudden call,"

Oh, Noah! It's been quite a while huh? Saccharin greeted with a smile. Why did they call us? My afternoon nap was interrupted. They should've just told us earlier. He said in an annoyed tone. He heard a bunch of steps and clanging of armors, looking around he started to notice that people are starting to come. Most of them also have an annoyed expression. Some are not even wearing their armor and weapons, it seems like they came in a hurry.

Noah rubbed his chin as he though about it, "I don't know, it probably involves bandits. The red dragons military isn't large enough to face both the white dragons, and bandits," he replied. Noah looked over to the other people entering the room, and noticed that they had no idea what's going on. This is all too strange.

Cinder walked into the gathering hall, a visibly annoyed aura surrounding her. She had come this close to getting a difficult spell she had been trying to master for weeks right - this close.

Just as she was about to perform the final step, guess what happened? The call came, a voice announcing all around the school that they had to meet at the gathering hall.

She freaked out. The spell messed up. Hurray.

"They better have a bloody good reason for calling me here." She muttered under her breath, her grip on her staff tightening.

Kadia was late, which was quite surprising because she was napping on the roof of the very place she was late to. She jumped through the window unnoticed and blended into the crowd. She looked around at the people around her, silently finding a target. She pulled her hood over her eyes and kept her head bowed, hiding her face. Despite her grogginess, she glided across the hall and nobody seemed to notice when she slid her delicate fingers into their pockets and stole out what ever they had kept. Kadia went over to a pillar and leaned against it. She pulled out her loot. She stashed the keys she found in a pocket in her cloak, "These will come into use later," she said to herself. A small metallic clanging sound was heard as she piled numerous coins into another pocket. Left in her hands was an uneaten apple and a few sweets. She bit into the apple, it was sour. She spit it out in disgust and threw the half eaten apple in a random direction, hitting someone in the head. Kadia unwrapped her sweets and plopped them into her mouth. Her hood was over her eyes and all you could see was the grin that was plastered on her face.

"Attention!" An older man in a full set of armour called out from the doorway, and everyone formed into lines. The Knight briskly walked to the front of the hall, and then turned twords the students, "you have a mission! Bandits are terrorizing a nearby village, your job is to take them out, and head to Tulkan castle for guard duty," he announced. Some of the people were excited about the upcoming battle, for most of them this will be their first battle. A few of the older students had a bored look on their face. Tulkan Castle has no military advantage, so why even guard it?.

@CodeCJD @Ashaficent @Lefic

Kadia stiffened at the sound of the older man's voice, then she relaxed and listened. With her head still bowed, she stood amongst the other students. The kleptomaniac couldn't resist, she stole a few more possessions from unsuspecting victims. Kadia was amongst the people with bored expressions on her face. She wanted a real challenge, most bandits never even noticed her until it was too late. While some students started to move around, Kadia stayed rooted to the spot, swiftly plucking items from people as they slowly passed her.

Adrielle silently made her way into large gathering hall. She slinked through the crowd hoping to stay unnoticed. A white Fox mask sat on her face where she always kept it. The people around her we're silent as orders were given. Adrielle could see the different expressions flash across people's faces. Wonder what this is about.

Neil had arrived at the gathering hall a few minutes early. He thought it unusual just how sudden they were all called here. He was really hoping to get in some more target practice. As his superior barked out orders, Neil stood quietly in line as was expected from him. Bandits, and guard duty at Tulkan, eh? Easy enough, he thought to himself. He didn't care so much about why Tulkan Castle would need to be guarded. He simply cared to loyally perform his duties as ordered.

"You will head out in thirty minutes. Make sure you pack for a long trip, the road to Tulkan castle is a long one," the knight ordered as he walked twords the main doors of the hall. He stopped and turned his head to look at the students, "you are dismissed," he said, and walked out of the hall.

Noah let out a quiet sigh, and looked over to Saccharin, "it looks like we have our work set out for us," he said to his friend. Tulkan castle was nearby the De Clare manor, so Noah was expecting to see one of his siblings there.

@CodeCJD

Saccharin didn't really payed much attention as he's already making plans for the trip to Tulkan Castle. His eyes are glowing, he has a mischievous smile on, his hands are clasped together in chest level. A trip! A trip! He thought as he pretend to listen at the man talking. The knight gave his last order and exits.

He heard Noah talking to him, but he didn't understand a thing, as his mind is occupied by his thought. He slipped to Noah's back and gently push him.
Come on, Noah! What're you standing around for? Our mission is to have a trip to Tulkan Castle! That's near you mansion , yeah? And a little bonus of catching honorless bandits. Ain't it fun? (OOC: yeah he got his priorities straight) He said with a playful grin. He pushed harder as Noah is standing perplexed. Along the way he's greeting some of the people with them along the hall. "Hello, see you in Tulkan" "Hey! Don't be late" Don't forget your things" Showing something that people rarely see. His fun and energetic side that he shows when he's around friends or people who he's comfortable to be with. @Eagershadow3 @anyone

"Tulkan Castle? Seriously?" Cinder rolled her eyes, wanting to throw something at the Knight who was bossing them around like he paid rent. And I don't have a choice... She thought, feeling ten times more irritated.

And suddenly, a random guy was telling to not be late.
"Don't tell me what to do!" She snapped, shooting him a dirty look.

@CodeCJD

Kadia sighed, knowing she had nothing to pack since all of her possessions were with her. She saw a rich looking boy and fought the urge to rob him. She stood quietly where she was, thinking about the trip. "Should I travel there with others or go by myself?" she meant to say this in her head but it slipped out.

Should be interesting... Adrielle sighed and made her way out of the meeting room. Once she was in the hall, there was an overly excited boy yelling greetings at everyone and telling them not to be late. She pushed her way through a couple of people that were blocking the hall, including a girl that was yelling and past the boy, bumping his shoulder in the process. "Sorry." she mumbled under her mask and continued to make her way to her room so she could get her things together.

Noah looked over his shoulder, "this is serious business Saccharin. We need to send off the village from bandits, some if us might die," he told him. "I doubt that anyone is home. Julius (his eldest brother) is off fighting the white dragons, and I'm not sure where Vincent (his other brother) is," he continued. Noah always saw Saccharin as a younger brother, although they are only one year apart. He respected his honor and dignity, but now he's acting like a regular teenager. It must be fun, Noah is forced to act like a noble.

@CodeCJD

"Don't tell me what to do!" A girl yelled at him. Saccharin got startled. B-But I was ju-just. I don't really mean it uhhh.. In don't really mean it that way. Saccharin said as he stammered. The hall went silent, Saccharin looked around to find eyes focusing on their direction. The altercation might have caught their attention. I'm sorry, lady. He said as he bow down to hide his face because of embarrassment. He looked at Noah to find some help but instead, he got scolded. Noah, you always seem so serious. I just want to make this a little fun. He murmured. Seconds later, Saccharin flinched as he felt something bump on his shoulder. Is it the guards? He wondered. At first he was hesitant to look. Sorry. She said. A girl walking pass him is wearing a mask. Oh, it's fine. Saccharin replied in a low voice. Around, only a few people are left looking at them, some of them might have lost their curiosity earlier. I'll be going now to pack my things, see you later. He said to Noah. He turned around and heads outside. He walked with his head held high, trying to act as if nothing really happened to hide his embarrassment. @Eagershadow3 @TangledBowties @Ashaficent

Well, gotta go pack. Not that it would take long. Neil's belongings were nearly always arranged so that he could easily get packed at a moment's notice. Just before he could take a single step toward the exit, he heard a commotion a short distance to his side. As he turned, he observed one of the squires apologizing to that witch girl. Yeah, I'd be scared enough to do that too if I ever crossed her. He began to walk toward the passageway leading to his room. As he went, someone caught his eye. Oh, it's that elvish thief. He altered his path a bit to keep a comfortable distance from her as he passed. He had lost too many of his belongings to step within 6 feet of that one. As he was about to round the corner out of the gathering hall, he heard her say "Should I travel there with others or go by myself?" He froze for a moment. I guess the thrills of solitude wear off from time to time. Then he vanished around the corner.

Cinder winced as the entire room went silent. Maybe she had gone a bit too far by taking out her irritation on the poor boy. She watched him stammer awkwardly, and then walk away. Whatever. Since when did I start caring about people's feelings anyway?

She walked away from the scene, as people started to avert their eyes and talk to each other again.

She started to zone out, and absent mindedly bumped into another person.
"Oh!" She stared at the guy, her golden brown eyes wide.

@SkullRoss

"Oh uh yeah, see you," Noah replied as Saccharin walked away. He seemed a little flustered when the witch girl yelled at him, but it looked like he recovered for now. Noah then made his way to his own room. Once he got there Noah packed a small bag of supplies, attached his broadsword to his hip, and swung a cape with the De Clare family crest embroidered into it to show his nobility. "I think that's everything," he said to himself as he looked around his room.

Sotha was quiet throughout the meeting, taking in the various maps and lines on the table, as well as the expressions on peoples faces. The altercation between Saccharin and Cinder was just uncalled for. Though he knew how his comrades acted, Sotha made it a mental point to go talk to Cinder, and to make sure Saccharin was alright. After listening to the debriefing, Sotha would only salute to Noah, pressing his fist to his chest. "For the honor of the One-day Queen. "He said, before walking after Cinder.

Stepping outside, He saw Cinder bump into someone, who he saw to be Neil. Keeping it brief, he walked over towards Cinder, keeping a fair distance. "Be careful with your words, Ashes. One day, Saccharin may be in a position to save your life, and he might recall this treatment. "Sotha said, more as a warning than a threat. He and Cinder had a....complicated relationship. They both grew up together, and both were magically trained, but it was always a lean towards a rivalry than anything. No mistake made, he trusted Cinder more than almost everyone, but he would always come up with jokes, or pranks to get under her skin. Hence the nickname: Ashes. a play on of her name, Cinder, due to her spit-fire personality. 'When the last cinders burn out, all that will be left are Ashes'. But he had more important things to worry about.

Today was his birthday.

He'd received two gifts today: A small bag of gold from the Orphanage he was raised in, and his foster-mothers old Hilt. Though it'd need to be fixed up, Sotha couldn't ask for a more valuable treasure. He'd hope one day he'd prove worthy of it. Looking at the gold, he'd simply shrugged, thinking he'd pay for his hilt with it. He placed in in his shirt, using the rope to tie it to his neck. He then went to his room to pack.

@Ashaficent

Adrielle had just finished throwing a few things into bag. She put her katanas on either side of her hips, and adjusted her mask on her face. As she put on her tunic, she threw the hood over her head. Moving around her room, Adrielle made sure she didn't leave anything important behind. On her way out she shoved a dagger in her boot and closed the door to her room.

Cinder stiffened and groaned as the last person she wanted to interact with spoke from behind her. "Shut up, Sotha." She snapped and glared at him before he left.

Her and Sotha... Well, they had been raised in the same orphanage together and had developed a bond, seeing that they were both talented mages and had a love for reading. But their 'friendship', if it could be termed that, was more of a cordial rivalry. They didn't hate each other - in fact, Cinder felt that she could count on him to save her life if it came down to anything like that - but they didn't exactly act like best friends either.

He would always find a way to get on her nerves, and that annoying nickname he called her was... Well, annoying.

Sighing, she shot the guy she had bumped into an irritated look and mumbled a gibberish sounding 'sorry', before walking away. Tulkan Castle was better than dealing with these idiots.

Neil had just been adjusting the gloves on his hands, when he suddenly bumped into someone. It's that witch girl, again. He took a quick step back. "Look, I don't want any tr-" Suddenly, I voice cried out from a distance. Oh no, him too?! He took another step back. The arcane warrior was going off on her. And she snapped back at the guy. This could get ugly. He stood frozen as he watched the two walk off in separate directions. I should count myself lucky, I guess. He continued down the hall into his room, where a bag was already set up on a table. He threw a few items into the bag, stepped over to a nearby cabinet, and pulled out a quiver. This should do it. He turned around and glanced around the door, where a few bows of various types were propped up. Which should I use this time?

Noah made his way to the main entrance of the academy. This is where the students will meet up, and then head out. He knew that some will travel alone, but with all of the bandits in the Kingdom Noah decided that traveling in a group would be the best idea.
