Fantasy The God Game 2.0

[QUOTE="Veyd Sahvoz]Can I add on another land to yours to make a full continent? So mine is just going to be mountains and dead forests, that's all it is pretty much so far.

Sure.

Sure, why not. That would be pretty interesting. What would be the quest though? We have to have a goal.
Why bother with a goal? Golem decides to walk across ocean on a whim, things happen along the way, eventually he gets to the other side. It's just a way for races to interact.

If there needs to be a reward I suppose a way to have ships cross the ocean in (relative) safety is on the table.

Sounds good, though it will definitly take a while for Golems to develop boats. They live in a desert plus are over one ton creatures of rock. Gonna take a while to build a sturdy boat that can hold that up.

Yeah, so the reward wouldn't mean much anytime soon.

It could end up being a sort of friendship between the Golems and Eels, with the Eels agreeing not to destroy any ship a Golem is upon. That would mean that the other races would actively seek out to hire golems to be on their ships, if nothing more than to prevent an Eel attack.

Eels could also help to transport golems across the water, letting them ride on the larger ones' backs or something, while the golems could help the Eels craft structures underwater, since golems actually have appendages and all.

The eels won't be confined to the oceans for too much longer. That should be a fun day for the other races.

Not like the Golems understand the concept of eating. Or really need to be afraid. Even if the Eels decided to attack the Golems, they would need to march through a desert that dwarfs the Sahara. That is deadly for creatures that "don't" live in the ocean.

Aside from them not being able to feasibly reach where the golems live, there's nothing for them to gain by attacking the golems. It'd just be piranhas trying to eat rocks, and they're not that dumb. Now races that are edible and live anywhere the eels either know about or can find, they're going to have a bad time. The wrath are probably going to have way too much fun... might decide to make it a holiday or something, I don't even know.

But that's a later problem to save for later.

Ah, good old Thankslaughtersday. A Wrath's favorite time of the year.

But anyway, the quest and its rewards sound good. Possible safety for boats if they have a Golem on board, tranportation for the Golems across water, and Eels being able to go on land. Sounds decent enough.

Happy eelsgiving, eat or be eaten
Eelsgiving:

-Wrath: "Best holiday ever."

-Other Organic Creatures: "Why! Who gave these monstrosities limbs! Save the children!"

-Golems: "Ah, remember all those years ago where we helped out our Eel buddies by giving them limbs? Good times, good times."
