Would giving a specific place magical properties be a miracle or turning it into an artifact?


I'm thinking of giving the black waters of Xir'ain's lake even more mystical properties and founding a holy city around it.

Name: The home of Qan'cath ( often shortened down to just Qan'cath)


Description: The city has basically everything you could want, but lacks most things like markets for farmers or butchers, the sewer systems while advanced are not made for waste other than water. The city rises as it gets closer to the nexus with those of higher status being higher up with the chamber of Qan'cath being at the very tip. Large portions of the city are set aside for libraries and colleges to teach in the future complete with space for labs.


Culture: The city is ruled by a council of mage lords that earn their seats by merit meaning that any of them could be off the council should they produce nothing in a century. The city is mostly devoted to learning and master magic with many labs being constantly filled as the Eldrazi unravel their mothers gift.

Actually, I realized I'm the same. I made it in the actual roleplay, but I forgot to write it down.


Name: Arma


Description: Arma has a single temple in the center, inside of it possessing a large stone designed to transport the Carbuncle's down to the surface. Dotted around the temple are small doorways. These doorways lead to the real city below, within the island. There are multiple large structures that serve as the homes of the Carbuncle race. This also serves as their commerce hub, other races can travel here to purchase and sell wares.


Culture: The Carbuncle race is a very laid back and relaxed race. They don't seek to fight others. Instead, they seek trade and love to learn knew things. Reve made their land comfortable and bountiful, but they don't have everything. Ever since Reve created the city, they started to create their own laws. The major one was that once a young Carbuncle reached adult age, they had to leave the island and travel for at least five years. They also have a rule for other species, one that is enforced by Aisling: Cause no trouble on the island.


The Carbuncle's highest authority is Aisling as Reve does not take an interest in their normal affairs. However, Aisling created five seats of power for them. Aisling personally selects these Elders herself. The perquisite to become an Elder is that a Carbuncle has traveled the planet for at least twenty years, proving they have the ability to survive and take care of others.

a few but hold off on posting despite me saying that the ELdrazi never left their home the other guy is insisting that the city be on the main land so he can having his wrath do some random pillaging

because if the Eldrazi had a colony an hour or less away from the sacred island it is kind of stupid for them to have never met elves or humans but we just have to have the wrath who couldn't logically be on Eldrazi

These fish are simple creatures that eat dead things and plants, they are found in fresh water and grew only a few feet in size.

The Hecer is a predator that hunts the Linca and Ri'no. They grow to he several feet tall and several feet long, being about the size of a tiger.

The linca is about the size of a fox and eats grass, they are not easily tamed and are considered food to some races.

The Ri'no is about the size of an elephant and eat grass, they are great source of food but they are not easily tamed.

The cancer is a predator that hunts fresh water and sea fish. It can run in between thirty and fourty miles an hour. They tend to be found near sources of water. They are about the size of a tiger.
