The Forgotten Princess(Closed)

Ksenia listened he didn't like his betrothed and she smirked she was always not a help when the two to be married hated each other to begin with. She smiled and hid it when he said trying day. Her eye's bored into him to say I would kick your ass if the queen wasn't here. Ksenia looked at the queen with a small nod."No it's not alright, the girl should be in court, she is to pretty for the yard. How about a lady in waiting?" She said walking around her. Ksenia."I am sorry, but I am not ment for court. I can entertain if much rather me there." She said. The queen step back and nods."yes then come with me. You as well Dominic will talk about you and your betrothed, but for now lets eat." She said" come both of you, you can change and Dominic go sit by my husband." She said. Ksenia sighed and went to change. She told the musicians what to play. She shook her limbs and stretched.

When the music started she walked in the hall and moved her body to the music. She forced a smile as she danced. She used scarfs to dance and went up putting a scarf around. Dominic's neck and moved back to the floor. She landed in splits and finished head down. The hall was in roars and cheers. She sighed and breathed.

Dominic inwardly groaned. He liked his relationship with the queen and King, they were good friends, but somtimes they were a bit eccessive. Nor did he really want to talk about his betrothed. He was forced into it, what else was there to tell?

He got freshened up, and in a new pair of clothes, and joined the king in the dining room. A song he had never heard before was playing, and he soon became memorized by the movements of Ksenia. Before he knew what was happening , she had one of her scarves wrapped around his neck, and pulled him into the center. Almost directly after, the song ended, leaving Dominic awkwardly in the middle, shrugging, he decided to introduce Ksenia.

"Welcome Ksenia of Sol!"

Another roar went up in the crowd. Dominic smiled at her, and just for fun, he sank as far as he could go in his splits, and he acted like it was the best thing yet. The crowd laughed, and then went back to their meals.

Dominic got up painfully, and headed back to his seat. He didn't understand how some of those people could do stuff like that, it hurt him just to go as far as he did!

Ksenia stood and bowed. She breathed. She walked with Dominic."your funny. That was very interesting to watch." She said. Her voice was quite."you should really stretch first." She said. She breathed, The King nods to her. He stood "My dear you have beauty and grace all the things a gypsy should have. Welcome to our court, I love to keep you around. My castle is free for you to roam." He said to her. She bows with a nod."Thank you Your Highness. This is for you and the queen." She turned to the musicians and tells them the song. She sighed facing away from them. She started the dance slow her dances also had acrobatics in them. She dance and spun in the middle when it ended she bowed and nods to them. The crowd cheers and she walked out of the room. Ksenia shook her head this wasn't what she wanted for the rest of her life. Her mind went to Dominic. He was so good looking. She couldn't think about him though he was betrothed.

Dominic chuckled.

"Even if I did stretch, I'm afraid that's as far as I can go."

A new song soon started, another one he didn't know. Ksenia's form was that of an angel. Once it ended, he realized he still hadn't even ate a bite of his food, he had been too memorized by Ksenia's movement. He quickly ate, and bowed to the queen and king, leaving. He was grateful that he didn't have to talk about his bethrothed, though he knew it would come later. He quickly excited the dining hall, looking for Ksenia. He had said that he would test her and see how good she was, and he planned to keep his word. He found two additional knights, Sir Eathan, and Sir Carter. They were both much older, and had children of there own. Though the captain of the guard, Gildron, had been like his father, Eathan and Carter were always there for him too.

Dominic told them to meet him in the trading arena, he didn't tell them the person doing the test was a girl, he was slightly afraid they would have said no.

(Dude wtf tapatalk)

Ksenia leaned on the door and sunk to the floor. She hid her head in her arms and sighed. She had lost everything today and here she was flirting with a almost married man. She couldn't do this she shouldn't have come here. She didn't belong here. The queen wanted her in court and court was bot who she was. She sighed and wiped at her eye's. This was insane. She got up to grab her things. She should just go.

She was walking down the hall when she ran into Dominic literally. She stumbled slightly and caught herself."oh hey." She said she looked up into his eyes. She watched him."I can't be an entertain for the court it doesn't feel right. Especially when I have to look at a man I find infuriating annoying and someone I like. But he isn't mine to covet" She said to him

DeathToAllBetrayers

((My notifications have gone weird too. It's really annoying!))

Dominic couldn't find her, he had been looking for awhile now, and still was unsuccessful. When he was convinced she had left, he sighed, palming his forehead. Of course she wouldn't have wanted to stay...

All of a sudden someone bumped into him, more like he bumped into them.

"Sorry, I'm not myself.." He then looked up to see who it was. It was Ksenia!

"Where have you been? I've been looking everywhere.." She then cut him off. Once she was done, he gently took her hand, running his thumb along her hand.

"You don't have to be here to entertain, nowhere of that sort, in fact, I was trying to find you to give you the test. Of course if you really want to leave..." Dominic dropped her hand, and sighed.

"I understand, I have a few connections, I can get you a job out of the castle..."

He then paused, and realized what she was saying, making sure it wouldn't get awkward, Dominic turned to a joking mode.

"Wait, let me get this straight...you think I'm annoying?" Dominic nudged her shoulder in a teasing way.

(My stupid history went wonky)

She watched him and shook her head. "I don't have any where to go. If I leave I am dead so. I can't go,I cant stay, because well I will covet you and I don't want to be the other woman." She said. She sighed."yes you are annoying, but an annoying I could live with." She said with a small smile. She nudged him gently."come on to the training area." She said. She walked. With him and sighed. She fixed her hair and dropped her things on the side line she looked at the two other knights. They smirked and shook there heads."No way she is a girl and can't do anything." They say. She raised an eyebrow."Try me."she said

DeathToAllBetrayers

((Sorry, had play auditions))

Dominic raised his eyebrow at her comment, and laughed.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't laugh, but if anything, she would be the other woman..not you."

His voice got low and husky. He then cleared up his throat and followed her to the training arena. Once he had heard his Knights comments, he sunk.

"Come on guys, you agreed to it, and I have every intention to hold you to that."

They looked at Dominic, eyebrows raised, and then looked at the girl, and back at him. Eathan caved in first, but Carter soon caved also. Dominic said a silent thank you, and gestured Ksenia forward.

He took a seat next to his knights and looked into her eyes, wishing her luck.

"What do you feel like is your best asset with weaponry?" He asked her. They would see her skills with this first.

A shiver ran down her spine at the fact that he said his betrothed be the other woman. She sighed and looked at the knights. This was not a time to fall for a man. Though she couldn't help how she felt about him. She watched the 3 and breathed."I am good with hand to hand combat, not bad with a sword. Good with a dagger, but I am excellent with my Bow and arrow. I don't miss my target." She said. She picked her bow and arrows from the ground. She turned from them and focused on the dummies. She pulled an arrow and breathes. She shot it and kept going till she was out of arrows. She hit the heart every time on every dummy. She pulled the dagger from her hair and hit the last dummy in the shoulder. She turned to them and bowed."that's what I can do the dagger may be off a bit,but it isn't as precise as an arrow." She said and looked at Dominic. Her eye's were bright and smiling.

((The call backs are tomorrow, so don't quite know yet.))

Dominic breathed at her accuracy. It took time, and a lot of hard work to be that good. Her dagger throwing wasn't to shabby either. Dominic slightly moved his shoulder, remembering the pain. When she stopped, she turned her gaze on him. Her eyes were a brilliant color, and it made Dominic shiver. They looked almost like the queens eyes. Dominic quickly tossed the thought aside. "Very good." Eathan said, he still wasn't convinced this girl could do anything useful though. Eathan turned to Dominic."I want to see her in action, go get one of the guards or something."Dominic nodded, and ran off. Once he had returned, he came back in tow with a heavily plated guard. The guard already knew what he was here for, and walked to Ksenia, and pulled off his armor, and was down to his tunic underneath in no time. Dominic nodded to start.

(Good luck. Wtf am I watching. Also sorry went to get food.)

Ksenia watched the man as he lunged at her. She remembered what she was taught. It took more energy to swing and miss then swing and hit. She stepped aside. She moved and grabbed him. She took a knee to his chest. Ksenia threw him away from her. He went for her again pissed off. She ducked and Dodged as he backed her up. She couldn't get in to him. She did the next best thing. She let him her and she rolled into it. It hurt, but she grabbed his sword and turned away from him for a second and pointed the tip at his throat."Drop and pray." She said. He did. She smirked and stabbed the knife into the sand next to him." Thanks for the coins." She said and stepped back. She held his coin pouch and tossed it to him. She turned to the knights."so who is next?" She asked. She rolled her shoulder. The pain didn't bother her much. The guard behind her was pretty pissed at being beaten by a girl he went to grab her. She dropped to the ground and turned sweeping his leg out from under him. She grabbed his arm and held it behind his back."try that again." She said and held the dagger to his throat.

((Sorry for the late post! I'm headed to bed, so night!))

Dominic turned to his friends.

"You satisfied? I think she should could be a very valuable asset."

Dominic nodded to Ksenia.

"Please let him go, he was only doing what I told him to, he has no desire of harming you. Am I correct?"

The guard nodded, careful to not touch the knife. Eathan and Carter were discussing, and waved Dominic over. He joined in.

"She's about intermediate I'd say, better than most begginers, but she still has a beginner streak about her." Eathan was saying.

Dominic nodded.

"Nothing a little training won't fix, and I can take care of that personally, seeing as all of the other Knights, besides the brand new one has an apprentice. There, I said it. I want Ksenia of Sol as my Apprentice."

Now there was nothing anyone could say, of course unless Ksenia declined.

Carter and Eathan looked dumbfoudly at Dominic.

"You want a girl...for your apprentice? Have you gone mad?!" Eathan kept in a hoarse whisper.

Dominic laughed.

"Probably, but it's my choice, and I chose her."

Dominic then stood up, and walked over to Ksenia to tell her the news.

(No problem no worries have a good evening)

Ksenia raised her eye brow. She pulled the dagger away from his throat gently. She put her hair up with it. She watched them and listened. Did they just call her a beginner. She told them she wasn't great with hand to hand or a sword. Her sticky fingers kept her alive. She wasn't a beginner with a bow if they tried to train her on that she definitely cut them with her dagger. She was leaning on a post listening to them. She shook her head and picked up her bow and a arrow. She shot it between them to shut them up. Ksenia watched their faces the men definitely did not like female's in battle. When Dominic came over, she looked at him."I heard. You do know I am not deaf and I was standing only a few feet away." She said"you can train me I wont call it an apprentice, because that's just degrading. Personally and you choose me? Would you choose me every time?" She asked"Also don't touch my technique with a bow. I don't take lightly to criticism of my marksman ship when I can out shoot any of your men here. Don't try to say it isn't true." She said to him. Her eye's were a cool blue tonight. They had fight in them as always, but also a soft spot for him. Her cold eyes melted at the sight of him. She smiled slightly at him. She looked him over. He was strong and had muscles. Ksenia looked away and down, he was good looking her mentor and betrothed. So much wrong with liking him. Yet why was it wrong to like a man. She was beating herself up inside." So am I staying in the dungeon or do I at least have a place to sleep." She said slightly joking.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Dominic was walking over when Ksenia had picked up an arrow. Eathan and Carter were still talking about how stupid he was, when she fired, instantly haulting their conversation. Dominic grinned, he wished he could have seen their faces, but he was looking at Ksenia. Her blue eyes were captvating, and Domininc had to force himself to look away, so that he could listen to her properly.

"Me touching your archer ability? Heavens no, no I'm just going to help you with your knife throwing, hand combat, and lots of the other weapons. Though it shames me to say this, I fear you are the better archer."

Dominic laughed at the comment of being kept in the dungeon.

"No, no of course not! It's tradition, and I know you don't want to call it this but...its tradition for the apprentice to be in the rooms next to his...or her in this case masters room. Now, I dont have any intentions of ordering you around like a slave, so please don't take it that way."

Dominic looked into her eyes, and paused...why did they have to be so...blue? Shaking himself out of his trance, he heard footsteps behind him. Turning around to see who it was, he realized today was the day his fiancé came to the castle, and she was here.

Ksenia smirked and watched him with the shake of her head. She was glad he didn't want to go anywhere near her archery skill. She might have just put an arrow through him. No matter if he was the man she seemed to want to covet for herself.

"Knife throwing, hand to hand and other weapons. I am okay with that I told you I am best with a bow." She said. She smiled at him gently and nods to his comment about her being a better archer. She lifted her eye brow as he talked.

"yeah sure why not a room next to you." She said. Ksenia was playing with her bow. She stared up at him with small smile this would prove to be interesting. She turned hearing footsteps. She saw a woman in a dress with a very smug face. She made a small face. She realized who she was this woman was his betrothed. She watched them and shook her head. Ksenia stepped back to not be rude, she had known this was coming it still some how stung.

Layla stalked up to him, and wrapped her arms around him, and glared at Ksenia.

"Honey, my feet are sooo tired, can you carry me, please?" Layla looked at Dominic with puppy eyes. Dominic sighed, and slightly twinged at the pain in his shoulder, but he didn't say anything. With Layla in his arms, he turned to Ksenia.

"Ill be right back."

His fiance grinned at triumphantly at Ksenia, a smug look on her face, daring her to do anything. Her arms, were still wrapped around his neck, and she leaned to give him a kiss, which in response Dominic pulled away.

He hated when Layla acted this way, not that he liked her any mood though. He slowly started to walk forward, just wanting to get this over with.

Layla smirked at Ksenia again, winking in her direction.

((Layla is Dominic's Fiance in case that wasn't clear.))

Ksenia watched her with a seething glare. She hated her and wanted to end her with one shot to the chest. Her hand curled around her bow watching this girl. When Dominic turned to her. She leaned on the post. She nods. Because that was all she could do. This wasn't her place. This wasn't her world. He was betrothed to the devil and here she was alone.

The other knights saw Ksenia glaring at the girl. They grabbed her and pulled her back."we know you want to slap that smirk off her face, but you can't touch her girl." They said. Ksenia wanted to do more then that. This wasn't her place. She moved herself away from them and threw her dagger at the dummy. She hated that she felt like this.

Ksenia made her way out of the arena and kept walking. She found herself in a garden. She twisted a turned through the maze to the pond in the middle. Only the royal family and some of the knights including Dominic knew how to get to the center. She had remembered from when she was a child this was where she use to come. She still how ever didn't know who she was. Ksenia slipped off her leather boots and slipped her feet into the cooling water. She heard footsteps and looked back. She wondered who had followed her.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Once Dominic made it to the indoors, Layla hoped out of his arms, saying that she could walk the rest of the way. She had asked him to come with her to her chambers, but Dominic couldn't stand her anymore. She hadn't even been here for an hour, and he was already wanting her to leave..not good sign. Dominic sighed and went outside, hoping to get some good training in with Ksenia.

When he reached the training ground, she was no where in sight. He shook his head. Of course, why was he so stupid in these matters?!

He asked on of the guards where Ksenia had went, and they pointed towards the gardens. Curiosity started to feel Dominic. Why would she want to go there? His curiosity got the better of him, and he went over to the shrubbery. He wondered how far she had made it, no one knew how to get to the center, the most beautiful part of it all, except a select few, including him.

He looked around for a bit, not finding her, deciding to go check the middle, he went there. He was astonished to see her, her feet were soaking in the fountain, and her hair shined in the fading sunlight.

Dominic walked to her, she obviously wasn't telling him everything.

"Breath taking, huh? May I ask how you know how to get here?"

Ksenia saw him and looked away. Was he asking her as a criminal or just in general. She swallowed her anger and jealousy." Yeah breath taking, nothing like I have ever seen before, but it is some how familiar." She said."How I got here. I walked and took the turns that lead here. I am not sure how I knew the right path. I just knew. Here I am." She said and shrugged. She gently picked a rose from the bush next to the fountain as she did when she was a child. She laid back on the stone wall and looked over at him. She smiled her black her falling behind her and down her shoulder.

She noticed his look as if something clicked."what?" She asked. She watched him with a confused look, why was he looking at her like that."umm did I do something wrong?" She asked. "I mean I can leave. If it bugs you me being here." She said.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Her having the hairpin, her knowing the garden, her having the queens eyes. It was all clicking in. After all, she was the right age, she did kind of look like the king too. Dominic rubbed his eyebrow, deep in thought, an snapped back to attention when she asked if she was bothering him.

"No,no, of course not, just... Question, what do you know about your parents?"

Dominic was getting really interested, though he kinda hoped she wouldn't be the long lost princess, otherwise he wouldn't get to se her nearly as much anymore. Dominoc ruffled his hair, getting a tad excited about the whole thing. He then quickly put his arm done, it still hadn't had any time to heal, and still hurt like crazy.

She frowned at him and shook her head. why was he asking about her parents."I don't know them I am an orphan. The caravan found me and raised me." She said."you picked me up from them. Why are you asking me this." She asked and got up. She put her boots on and walked over to him.

She slowly lifted his chin so he was looking at her. Yeah it was down, but she wasn't that tall and not that short. She saw pain flicker as he quickly put his arm down.

"It's your shoulder isn't it let me look." She said. She got him so he was just in his pants she had him sit by the fountain. She removed the bandage gently and grabbed some viles from the bag she always carried. She cleaned the wound gently with water at first then poured something on it and the anti dote. She put a new cloth on it and wrapped gauze around him. She tied it."there now sit" she said as she wiped her hands on her pants."I am sorry you wouldn't be like this if I hadn't lost my temper." She said. She watched him closely. She didn't care about his betrothed her hand was on his chest gently. She was close to him. She looked into his eye's." First you need to rest for a few days. I can take care of you. She won't, but I will and I am telling you to rest just a few days. Also why are you asking me about my parents." She said. She had moved one hand to his cheek gently.

DeathToAllBetrayers

Dominic was about to answer her question when she saw the flash of pain from his shoulder. Sighing he nodded, he shoulder was killing him, and he hadn't gotten it properly treated. He slowly took off his shirt. When she took off the bandage, he hissed at the pain through his teeth. Once it was again bandaged, Dominic turned to look at her. She was apologizing. In her situation, he probably would have done the same thing. She placed a hand on his chest, and looked into his eyes. Her hand slowly trailed to his cheek. He shivered, not from the cold, but from realization, if she was the princess...Dominic should have stood up, he should have walked away, but instead he stayed. He only had been touched by his betrothed like that, but somehow, this was different. He didn't feel a hint of disgust. He brought up his good hand, and trailed her jaw with his thumb.

"I think I know who your parents are, and you're probably not going to like it." he said softly. Still trailing his thumb on her cheek. It was soft, and she was so close. He probably should pull away, but instead he looked into her brilliant eyes. He still couldn't find one flaw about this girl.

She sighed."If I am not going to like it, then don't tell me. I don't want my life to change at all. I can be an orphan for the rest of my life and be happy." She said. She sighed and moved her hand slowly through his hair. She had fallen for a betrothed man, in just two days. What in the hell did this mean and how could he know who her parents were or are. She thought as she watched him, how could he know so soon. He hadn't pulled away from her touch and that made her smile gently. She had seen his disgust with his betrothed. She sighed and moved closer to him so her other hand was touching his. Her lips only inches away. She liked him for him he wasn't someone she hated. He was basically flawless, except her mess up. She sighed and ran her other hand from his hair to his back gently and down his good arm."I like where I am and I don't want this family to change that and I don't care if you have a betrothed. She doesn't deserve a great man like you." She said

DeathToAllBetrayers

Dominic nodded at her request. He knew he couldn't keep it forever, but he would try as long as he could. Dominic smiled at her touch, he was actually grateful for it, unlike his betrothed. He grinned mischievously, as if he were a little boy. He stroked her jaw, and looked into her eyes, almost asking permisson to kiss her.

"Well, here is one thing that you have on her..." He whispered, and closed the distance between them. His hand was on her neck, pulling her closer. His other hand remained limp, it hurt still to move it. If he was wrong about her, and that she didn't want him, we would back off, but her being this close...she was irresistible.
