Fantasy The Euphorian Highschool for Empowereds

Ansom was silent as Elaena climbed into the car, his head resting on the top of the steering wheel. After a moment he raised his head and looked over at Elaena, slightly annoyed. "I forgot to open the door for you." He let out a long sigh and put the car in reverse as he backed out of his spot. After putting the Civic into drive, he pulled out of the parking lot and onto the street. "It's been a while since I went to hang out with a girl other than my sister." He said with another shake of his head. "My manners escaped me."
Hearing what he was actually annoyed at she stared at him for a moment glancing to the car door for a moment before looking back at Ansom and smiling. She shook her head before speaking "I mean, I don't mind. You forgot, we can't all be perfect, some people wouldn't even think on it in the first place, don't worry about it." She said in an attempt to cheer him up as he began to drive out of the parking lot, she didn't want him feeling bad over it. "I actually thought I had upset you or something when you did that" she admitted with a small laugh as she rubbed the side of her face with her hand.

Waking up, Ren slowly arose from under his blankets, yawning and stretching. Even a god could enjoy a good sleep here and there. He then looked towards the window, sunlight beaming through the slightly open shades. Seemed like a nice day out. Ren hopped up, yawning once again as he walked towards his bathroom. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of trouble his roommate had gotten into last night. He always came back home pretty beat up and always had the worst smell... That's if he even left his room. Ren placed his hand on the doorknob, turning it and opening the door. The first thing he took notice of was his bed head. With a quiet sight, he fixed his hair before grabbing his toothbrush and toothpaste. He hummed a song in his head as he began to brush his teeth. Once he finished that, Ren took himself a nice hot shower before getting dressed and heading out for the day. "Aaah... Fresh air." He said, taking a deep breath as he began his walk. He saw a few of his friends as he went along, but it only reminded him of Gail. Ren hadn't seen her in awhile... And being the luckiest man alive, well... It was kind of weird not getting something you wanted. That something he wanted was to see his friend after all. He had not even the slightest clue as to where she wondered off to. Ren, with nothing better to do, set his destination to where he and Gail first met; the tree where he found his ghostly friend. "Maybe thinking on the past might help me or something..." He whispered quietly to himself. Ren had made it there pretty quickly, almost as if he ran. With a quiet sigh, he took a seat underneath the tree.

Zygote looked at Mr. White and thought to himself, " Oh man that ramen stop made me miss school. I was already late." Zygote began scratching his head " well you see i woke up late and i had stopped to get the best food in the world. Ramen just the thought of it makes my mouth water. The ramen was so good it was totally worth missing school." Zygote said to Mr.White.

Taylor chuckled as Zygote explained to him why he was late. It wasn't much of a big deal, so he wasn't going to punish him for it or anything. That was just a bit unnecessary. With a smile, Taylor rubbed his chin, "Say... This ramen shop isn't too far from here isn't it? If so, I may know where you got it from. I understand your reason too. Some foods are just to die for... Not literally, you get what I mean though." He then chuckled a bit more.

"Sigh..."

Gail was bored. She had spent the whole night in her books trying to catch up for the years she had missed. After all, she doesn't need to sleep so the extra seven hours a night really helped her to get things she wanted done. There were few things good about being eternally dead, and that was one of them.

Still, it doesn't mean she couldn't get bored - especially after a long night of revising and researching. Some of it was easy, like history, but some of it was hard, too. Like real life, in a way, Gail thought to herself. Realizing that ultimately hard topics were meant to be revised, Gail had spent all early morning biting her lip and scratching her head. Eventually, however, it became time to get ready for class as she heard the birds outside start to wake up.

Her dorm room had become quite lonely and barren since her roommate left - off doing charity work, she had told Gail. The kitchen had become unused and cold, as well as most amenities in the room - after all, ghosts don't need to eat, shower or sleep and Gail was no exception - and it had been a while since she had seen the fridge stocked. No matter, Gail thought. She still had other friends dotted around the school, so she wasn't that lonely. She rarely used the dorm room herself, anyways. Sighing once again, she grabbed her things and began to leave the room - she still had time before class, but she needed some downtime before she went back into the grinder.

She decided she wanted to read. She didn't want to read the myriad of revision books in her leather bag, borrowed from her ex-roommate, but she did have one fiction book in there. A recent copy of an old book, it was. In truth, she had read it more times than some people have hot meals, but she loved the book regardless. As she floated towards her usual reading spot, under a cherry blossom tree, she saw a familiar face. Ah, her friend!

Floating as the crow flew, which occasionally meant Gail phasing through a bench or a student, she reached Ren's side quickly. Sitting down on the cold, dewy morning grass (although, Gail did not seem to notice or care) she looked over to Ren with a smile. "Hi. It's been a while, hasn't it?"

Zygote looked at Mr. White and grinned "you get it don't you. Also yes it is not that far... away walking distance actually." zygote said. "Why do you ask?" he said with a look of curiosity.

Kenai raised a brow at her when she said she was pretty normal, both he and she knew she wasn't. Neither of them were normal really, after all one was pretty much a wolf and the other a light spirit, there was nothing normal about either of those things. He took a bite from his sandwich as she asked him what made her unique narrowing his eyes as he thought about his response. "Well. I dunno. You just are." He said with a shrug, he paused for a moment before continuing his answer, he wasn't always the best with wording things so it was taking him a bit to think on what he was attempting to say "You always have this... vibe that follows you. A good one of course. You make people smile and not because you are trying really hard to be funny or cute or anything like that because you aren't trying. You do it just because you are you. You can manage to make me smile and help motivate me to get up off my butt and do stuff. That takes a bit of work to get me to do so I think I'm proof of my point." He looked to her for a moment before looking back to his food "Not many people are like that...does that answer you question?" He asked as he lifted his sandwich to take another bite of it.

Ilaani narrowed her eyes further when he laughed and looked away from her. "I'm not worried" she said as she looked away from him as well. She smiled when he joked about valuing his life over being poisoned, laughing a little herself. "Good. Good. You don't know when I could just slip something toxic into your coffee" she said jokingly, rolling her eyes a little. "I'm kidding. I don't have posions in my kitchen I can poison your coffee with I'm not some kind of messed up witch. Still though. Don't do it. Can't promise I won't just punch you instead. I only need fists for that." As she finished her last to sentences she tilted her head and gave an jokingly innocent smile for a few seconds "Speaking of coffee though. We forgot to even order ours..." She trailed off as her gaze moved to view the counter behind them.
Asako took the last bite of her sandwich as she listened to him. To her, she was nothing special, if anything, she felt like she could be an annoyance. Though, it seemed Kenai thought differently. Asako nodded when he finished speaking. She never really saw herself as someone that could make people smile and motivate them, but Kenai had said otherwise. He had basically said the opposite of how she saw herself, not that she disliked it, it made her feel better about the way she acted. She was aware that she could be a bit childish, but that was just how she was, and thankfully she had people around her that didn't care about that. "Yeah, I think I get what you're saying"

----------------------

Allen smiled when she mentioned just punching him instead. While he might have been a big guy, he knew not to underestimate people. "I'll have to be careful then, getting punched doesn't sound like a good time" He said and laughed. He tilted his head when she mentioned coffee. He looked at the counter the same time she had. She was right, they hadn't even ordered their coffee yet even though thats what they came here for... besides hanging out, that is. "Ah, right. I can go get it. What kind of coffee do you want?" He asked, getting up from his chair as he did so.

Logan chuckled and looked at the food, his mouth watering a bit at the sight of the freshly made breakfast. He then looked at Scarlet when she spoke, and he nodded, before looking at the food again. His eyes were glued. He waited patiently for Scarlet to bring over the syrup. "I'm trying my hardest not to eat it all right now." Logan said, taking a seat on the countertop. Seeing Scarlet with the syrup he smiled, "It smells more than great. Smells like it's ready to be eaten." He said, laughing a bit as he hopped down and grabbed the syrup. Logan then opened the syrup and poured some on his pancakes.

Scarlet laughed a little when he talked about holding back from eating it all. In all honesty, so was she, but thankfully she could control herself from doing so. "I didn't know that was something you could smell, but you're right" She said, smiling. As far as she knew, the syrup was the last thing they needed that was stopping them from eating the food they had just made, and considering they were putting it on their pancakes right now, they were free to just eat. Just in case, she looked over the food to make sure they weren't missing anything. They had the orange juice, sausage Logan had quickly prepared with his magic, pancakes, and eggs. Unless Logan wanted to wait even longer, they didn't need bacon. Scarlet didn't even think she could wait, she just wanted to eat.

Ren Yamada

Ren sat quietly under the tree. With a smile on his face, he enjoyed the warm embrace of the sun shining down onto his skin. It felt nice, but he still missed his friend. Thinking about it didn't help... In fact, it only made it worst. Ren slowly sat up, and stretched his arms before using his godly abilities to create a juice box. His favorite brand and flavor in specific too. Leaning against the tree once more, this time with his juice box, he sighed quietly, his smile slowly fading away. "Damn it..." He said shaking his head in disappointment at his own hope.

Looking a bit down now, Ren sat there. He could feel the gazes of people falling upon him as they walked pass, but no one approached him. It was only right. Ren took a sip of his juice, not even taking the time to raise his head. Just as he thought about leaving, he heard a voice. It sounded much like Gail's... Too much like her's. Slowly looking up, he smiled a bit, "It has. I never knew I could miss someone so much. Where in the world were you?" He asked her, chuckling a little. The slightest blush came across his face, because he never wanted her to see him in such a down state. He decided the best thing to do would be to hide his face behind the juice box, so he took another sip... This time a longer one.

Even through her pale complexion, and the fact she was an ethereal being, Gail's blushes could still be seen through her milky skin. Not incredibly obvious, mind you, but definitely visible to those who were looking. Deciding to gloss over the fact that Ren apparently missed her 'so much', mainly to save him from her own embarrassment, Gail's gentle, somewhat ghostly, voice replied. "Well..."

Hesitating slightly, Gail looked away as she elaborated. "I was visiting my family crypt...or, at least, what's left of it. Most of it's been buried to time, but I try my best to keep it in good condition. It is a lot of work, though, so I often forget about other things I have going on. Then, of course, there's all the school work to catch up on..." Gail appeared melancholic in a way, with her head sunken and her gaze fixated on the ground, but she soon perks up again. Whether or not she was still feeling morose was a different story, however - it was surprisingly difficult to tell Gail's true feelings sometimes.

Looking back up to Ren, smiling gently, Gail tried to position herself to she could see his face properly. After having little luck, however, with the juice carton in the way Gail seemed satisfied with simply looking in his general direction. "What about you? How have you been?"

Ren remained quiet, allowing for Gail to speak. At this point, he was just happy that she was back. He liked living with his roommate, they were good friends and all, but him being the unluckiest man alive didn't help their living situation. They were always short of funds once Malum would touch the money. With Gail back, he had someone else he trusted around once more. He listened closely to what she had to say. In his opinion, that was a nice thing of her to do.

"I see. I'm sure they're happy that you come around for that kind of thing." He said, thinking about his own parents. Of course he kept in contact with them, but he hasn't actually visited them in quite a long time. Maybe he'd do that at some point. "But on the other hand... With the schoolwork and all, you're one of the smartest people I know. I'm pretty sure you can catch up with the rest of us in no time." He said, smiling a bit as he lowered the juice box from his face. The blush that was on his face was barely visible at this point, and he found himself looking at Gail, who was looking at him.

When she asked how has he been, Ren shrugged a bit, "I've been well I guess. Aside from living with an unlucky guy, I've been well... School is going good. I'm almost finished with my god courses. Those were no fun at all. Hmmm... And that's about it. It's just the usual I guess."

Gail appreciated Ren's willingness to listen. It was refreshing to vent everything now and then, especially to a friend she trusted with her secrets. Although, at this point, there weren't many secrets left to tell - Gail had already told him of her past, of her darker self. She was grateful, though - sometimes, she needed a shoulder to rely on and to help carry the burden of her unwanted immortality.

As Ren commented on her parents, Gail fell quiet, and her face fell flat. She never really considered the fact that her parents could be watching over her - would they be happy because of her? Would they be happy that after all of this time, nearly six centuries now, she still tries to maintain their graves instead of moving on to other things? Or were they ashamed? Ashamed of what she became, of what the curse made her if she let her negative emotions run riot? With a firm shake of her head, Gail expelled the thoughts from her mind. It wasn't healthy to think like that. Especially about her parents and siblings.

Returning to reality, Gail barely caught a glimpse of what Ren said next. "Oh! I'm not smart. I'm just long lived. I'm sure we both know more capable thinkers than me...thanks, though." Smiling at the compliment, she nods at his second statement. Curious, though, Gail decided to speak up. "What exactly are god courses? How do you learn to be a god? Aren't gods meant to know it anyways being omniscient and all?"

Ren raised a brow as Gail started to speak once again. He could tell before that she was in some sort of deep thought before he finished thinking... Or maybe something he said had upset her, which he hope wasn't the case at all. Ren chuckled when she said she wasn't the smartest person he knew. Maybe that was true. He didn't think much on it. She was pretty smart to him, but her explanation as to why made sense to him. "Doesn't mean you aren't smart." Ren said, smiling a bit as he took another sip of the juice. "Though you may be right... I might just know someone that is more capable at thinking... If not, then you are the smartest person I know." He added, before taking one last sip of the juice, the box disappearing once he finished.

"I wasn't born a god. I was made into one. Chosen... No one knows what happened to the one before me, but I was next in line I guess." He said, chuckling quietly. Ren knew once he finished his training, his full potential would be unlocked and he'd be a full fledged good and not just some kid in training still. "The courses are just to help me get the hang of my new found powers. Learn about the other gods and such... What my duty as a god is. That kind of thing."

Gail nodded at it all. It was an odd concept for her, to learn how to be a god. Although, perhaps it is more down to her upbringing than anything else. When she was alive, she was taught that there weren't as many gods, and that they all had omniscient and omnipotence. It was with time, however, that she learned that gods weren't that different from people, really - with needs and wants of their own, and that they do make mistakes and aren't as perfect as the title 'god' suggests.

"I suppose that is a better way to do it. To teach you, as opposed to let you learn on your own. It certainly is a lot safer for everyone else...and take it from me, it isn't fun to learn your capabilities the harmful way." Gail says, with a bit of a smile - however, this one seemed a bit...fake, almost. Not entirely sincere, at the very least. As if she was smiling to cover up some horrible memories - well, that is exactly what she was doing. Gail looked to the ground as she regains her composure.

After a second or two, Gail looked back at Ren. There was something that worried her. "Still, it does worry me...what could possibly happen to a god? What if it was something bad, and that something could happen to you?" Gail was starting to show signs of worry, but still retained her lady-like form. No good losing her mind, after all. There's not much that could kill a god anyways, right? Still, the thought lingered in her mind - what did, or what could possibly, happen to the previous god of luck?

Ren rubbed his chin in thought, thinking about the day he had learned he was next in line to be the God of Luck. It was a bit extra in his opinion, but it would always be the memory that stuck out to him; a random kid, chosen to be a god. He life was pretty basic, and he didn't even believe in the concept of luck yet. Not until he was given his first sign of godhood. Looking at the sky for a short moment, Ren smiled a bit before looking back at Gail. He nodded in agreement when Gail spoke about having to learn about his abilities, and how it would be rather beneficial instead of figuring it out all on his own. That was a point Ren heavily agreed with.

"Indeed. I mean, sure luck isn't exactly a power, but with godhood comes godly abilities. Don't want me to stray off my path and become like the many pother rogue gods there are out there. Don't think we have many, or any of those here at all. I can't imagine myself using my power to harm anyone though. It goes against my nature... As a human." Ren said, smiling a bit. He never considered himself much of a god... Because it wasn't who he was born. He was born a human, and lived as one. Maybe he'd fully accept who had become later in life, but at the moment... In his youth, he wanted to be free. Ren did notice how Gail's smile was. It wasn't purely sincere. She may have been dead, but she still had emotions and a visible body he could use to tell how she felt. He didn't want to say anything about it though... It could upset her.

Ren had been smiling the entire time, though his smile eventually faded as Gail mentioned it being possible that something may happen to him one day. Shaking his head, he smiled once more. Ren knew he couldn't actually touch Gail, but he wanted to find someway to reassure her, so he placed his hand on what would be on top her own and chuckled, "Don't worry about me. If something does happen to me, then it was for the best. I am the luckiest man alive after all... So remember... If something happens to me, it had to happen. In some cases, death or disappearing may be the best things to happen to me, but if it makes you feel any better, I won't go anywhere too far if a problem does arise. I'm your friend, and friends stick to one another's side. Through thick and thin."

Gail listened to Ren, enthralled. She found it odd how Ren did not consider himself to be a god, despite his tremendous power, but after a second of thought it made sense to her. In a way, it was very similar to how Gail did not consider herself dead - at least, she did not consider her personality that of a dead person. She wasn't alive, yes, but she wasn't completely dead - she was simply stuck in the grey area in between. At the end of the day, Ren was a good person and whether or not he considered himself a god mattered little to her - to Gail, Ren was a good friend. Nothing more, nothing less.

Gail watched as Ren's happy, smiling face crumpled and fell into almost a frown. She felt bad she asked him such a powerful question, but she wanted reassurance about Ren's future. Ren was a good man, and she did not want anything bad to happen to him - she would protect him, as she would most friends, with her life. After all, her life is over but for everyone else, Ren especially, their lives were only beginning. Watching Ren grasp at her intangible hand, she smiled as she made herself solid - at least, made her hands solid. Grabbing Ren's hand with both of her own cold hands, Gail smiled as Ren finished speaking.

"Through thick and thin." However, as sudden as a storm at sea, her face fell more serious. "But, promise me you'll not die. I don't want to be alone again..." In truth, even though Gail pushed away others she was ultimately terrified of being alone. Truly alone. And while she had other friends, they didn't understand her like Ren did. She couldn't bear her secrets down onto them like she did with Ren.

Levi rubbed the side of his face with his hand "I know, I know I'm sorry. I couldn't help myself" he apologized, his smile more friendly than mischievous now "And I don't know. If I was a spirit that could tell the future I know I'd spread a joke or two for laughs but maybe that's just me" he said with a small shrug, his eyebrows raising when she asked about walking home with him, noticing how red the Seiko's face was getting "uh...Sure! why not." He eventually agreed with a small smile, after all they both lived at the school dorms, they'd be walking back the same way anyways.

She walked out nervously and slowly face as red as a tomato. "Th-Then. Let's go." She said packing her things into her backpack and beginning to walk home after stepping out of the cafe. Matsuko peeked out of her backpack head sticking out and looking at Levi clearly not trusting him.

The actual Seria just continued to watch, her memory continuing to slaughter any in her way. There was actually no clear objective to any of this. It soon came to the point where the memory had moved in front of a religious temple. She continued to slaughter the guards and knights confronting her as civilians ran away screaming for any possible help. Then a High Cleric stepped out from the temple, in which, the two exchanged gazes. She tightened the grip of her sword soon before a Goddess came out of the temple as well. She was sitting on an orb as everything else started to appear as she was coming out of the temple's doorway and into the front. It was a Goddess who was still alive in the present day. Natsumi. "Child, you seem to be lost. I don't think Karl would like any of what you're doing." The mention of Karl's name made her shocked before her glare turned onto the Goddess. "Don't you dare speak his name! You don't know him! How do you know of his name?!" The Goddess, Natsumi only sighed as she looked upon the lost Seria. "I'm the Inception Goddess Natsumi. And I know him only because I was keeping an eye on you and your squad. Do you remember the first demon you fought before getting into your little institution of Demon Slayers? You absorbed some of the demonic energy from an attack. A mere human, even Karl, wouldn't have survived that. The only thing I would know how it were to happen is that you were an Eater. Do you see that you even changed, both physically and mentally upon the overflow of the energy?" She then gracefully gave out her hand towards Seria, even when they were surely at a distance. "No one else needs to die today. Not even you. Come with me, and I'll help you better thyself." There was a long pause before she started to charge at Natsumi, ignoring what she had said as her rage consumed her. If she was watching, why didn't she help before everyone of her squad disappeared? Why didn't she help during those demon attacks? So many questions raced in her mind as she felt the need of vengeance. When she swung her blade, Natsumi parried it easily with her spear. "I knew you were going to do that, being so blinded. Fine, I'll have to take you by force."
Elliot just stared at the Seria from the memory, only occasionally glancing over at the actual Seria now. He had nothing to say about what was going on. Not out of shock as her behavior was no longer shocking him after the memory showing her rage for quite some time. He simply didn't know what to say in response to any of this. He was human and a young human at that, so there was a lot here for him to process. He just guessed it was at least starting to turn positive since this goddess was trying to help, maybe this memory wasn't going to end too badly after all?

Kenai smiled slightly after she said she understood what he was saying. "Good. I wasn't sure if my answer made sense or not. You know words on my thoughts aren't really my thing at all" he said with a gentle shrug before continuing to eat his food, finishing it off. It really wasn't his thing and normally he'd avoid it at all costs because he was poor at it, but on this occasion he didn't struggle much with it simply because he didn't want Asako thinking she wasn't all that unique or special, because she was. He thought she was and he was sure others did too so he felt that he would attempt to speak up about it. "Any plans for what you're doing after were done eating here?" He asked after a moment or two.

-----------------------------

Ilaani's smile grew slightly at his answer before simply laughing it off and shaking her head a little. She hummed in thought for a moment after he talked about their coffee, obviously he had gotten side tracked just like she had. It seems they really did have a lot of catching up to do. For a change she didn't argue that she would get it, simply because she had promised to let him do so before arriving there otherwise she would have. A promise was a promise so she was respectful of that. "A latte works fine for me" she said with a nod and a small smile.

She walked out nervously and slowly face as red as a tomato. "Th-Then. Let's go." She said packing her things into her backpack and beginning to walk home after stepping out of the cafe. Matsuko peeked out of her backpack head sticking out and looking at Levi clearly not trusting him.
Levi walked slightly behind Seiko as she exited the café, lazily shoving his hands in his pockets as he walked along. In the corner of his eye he could see Matsuko peeking out to the backpack at him. Meeting the gaze of the doll with his own for a brief moment he rolled his eyes looking away from the doll and walking forward as he did so, he was now walking alongside Seiko rather than behind. It was then he noticed that her face was still pretty red. His seemingly examining her face as he stared at her for a few moments. Was she really taking the fortune that seriously? As amusing as he found it because he could tease her he also felt a bit bad that she was now believing that she really had to marry him even though she didn't.

Seiko's face only grew redder as she felt him walk next to him She met his gaze for a brief moment and face grew redder and she tried to walk quicker only to trip over a pebble falling forward. She didn't think that the fortune was true but she was surprised of her quite sudden but emotional feelings for Levi. One may even say it's love.

Ansom shook his head. He was clearly disappointed. "It's not okay, Elaena." He said without his eyes leaving the road. "Don't pet the dog that just made a mess." He sighed and dropped his shoulders a bit. "It won't happen again. I'll tell you that now." He was silent for a moment before he nodded. "If it does. Just kind of...slap me or something." He shrugged and gave a chuckle that possibly made an indication that he was joking. His eyes showed some form of seriousness, however.

//So sorry it took so long for this short post. I've been a bit busy but I wanted to get something up.

Levi still hadn't commented on her behavior nor had he really looked away yet until Seiko had looked back at him and tried to quicken her pace. He raised brows in response not exactly knowing what she was attempting to do. As soon as she started to fall forward he had quickly grabbed her shoulder to steady her back onto her feet. "I'm seriously starting to think you are doing this to test my reflexes" he joked, retracting his hands once she was steadied on her feet. "...Are you okay?" He then asked on a more serious note, she was acting weird. Weirder than he had usually seen her act thus far.

Elaena had fallen silent after he spoke. She didn't feel like she was petting the dog that made the mess, she just didn't mind too much that he had forgotten, probably because of her laid back nature. Should she have cared so strongly that he forgot his manners a little? He seemed to think that she should. She stared at him for a bit before he joked about slapping him. Looking from her hand to Ansom again, she giggled lightly in response before looking out the window towards the road. "Alright then...and I was not trying to 'pet the dog' as you say. I just have never witnessed someone feel so strongly about forgetting something like that before." She said as she fiddled with a piece of her hair, fixing it into place when she was done.

(That's okay :) Thanks for letting me know!)

Ren chuckled, giving Gail's hand a gentle squeeze. He didn't know what to say. A few responses jumbled around in his head, and with a smile, he looked at her. He slowly opened his mouth and began to speak, "If I were to die, don't let it be something that takes a toll on you. My life as a living being will be long and prosperous if I play my cards right... And so that's been the case. I've met manu good people, some even beyond great, and I've made nothing but good choices so far. If I were to die, then it was by natural causes and before that happens, I'll make sure to do something that would leave my mark for you to remember me by. Something to let you know that even when I'm not there... I'm there." Ren sighed quietly, having said all that, he could only think of how much of a good friend he's made. "In other words... That's I a promise I can't keep. But I can promise you that my dedication to my friends and loyalty to you and the rest will never fade or wither. It'll only grow and and grow."

He meant every word. Ren would never turn his back on her, and even after death, he'd be there for her. Ren had many friends, but none like Gail. She stood out, and that's what made her an interesting one to him. He felt as if he would never understand why, but it didn't bother him. As long as she remained his friend, he'd be happy.. Then again, in a way she was a source of happiness for him.

She was caught and sighed in relief not having to faceplant onto the floor again. "I-It's not my fault I trip over the smallest of obstacles." She pouted. "Th-Thanks anyway." She mumbled. Her face was red as ever and she continued to walk. "Come on." She said and began to walk. She took off her hood and let out her long grey-blonde hair and looked back at him planting her staff on the ground to prevent herself from falling.
