The End of Days

It been about a year and a half since a new chemical weapon was launched across the world. The world was convinced it was better then nucular weapons, that it wouldn't destroy the world but the very things that were causing their problems. People. Not just people but animals too, slowly the world was infected with this new king of virus. One that turned them into... creatures. Not Zombies. Those generic abominations that were on T.V. all the time? They would never be able to cause the mass destruction that these people did in a few months. Everyone change, they slowly went crazy.


The survives, those who were strangely immune to the disease, now slowly roam what is left of the world. Those who were infected slowly mutated and evolved to something much more evil and wild.


Tannis, who had survived that year lived by himself. He had others who were with him, but they all slowly passed away around him. Originally they were all co-works. He had a rather big house on the outer edges of the city because he was a CEO of a rather large firm. Today he was going out again to get some more food and supplies, he had been alone for a few months now. He was almost in his 30s, in fact his birthday was coming up soon, though it was going to be a rather sad birthday this year.

The world was dying and the people where dying leaving a teenage girl all alone her parents passed from the strange biochemical virus. The lythe girl lived at a dance studio her parents kept bottled water and such small things there but she was running out quickly she would have to go out and look but she was terrified the world had changed some pieces looked whole but in fact those were often the most deadly, where the outbreack is newer. Ebony swallowed and stepped out into the barren streets it was day light so she had no fear of not seeing one of the terrors before it got to her.

Tannis had gotten into his car and turned it on, stepping on the gas to start his journey to town. he was careful and had a sharp eye out of people most of the time. He was headed to a small shop a bit on the inside of the town, the places where he saw the less of the monsters.

Ebony didn't even thing the car souns were anything to worry about as she heard one it was just someone leaving and they were smart. She made her way timidly across the street.

 

[Ricia]

Tannis was completely surprised when a girl ran out into the street. Tannis swerved and almost hit the girl, the car screeching to a halt and the tires leaving marks on the road.

Ebony froze the car was coming towards her but she didn't scream she covere her mouth and close her eyes it must be her tiome she felt the wind from the car stopping but no pain she half wondered if she died.

 

[Ricia]

When the car came to a stop, Tannis opened the door and looked at the person huddled on the ground, covering her mouth. Tannis wanted to rush over to her, but he was not sure if she was one of the ones who were infected... "Are you ok?" He asked with a light shout. He deiced to approach her anyway.

 

[InsaneTruth]

Ebony looked up with big brown terrified eyes "Don't yell." she said "it'll attract them," she said scared though he might be one of them after all.

 

[Ricia]

Tannis nodded and took her hand softly, leaning down to her height, "Are you with someone?" He asked. He studied her pale and small form, he was so big compared to her. His own green eyes starred down at hers.

 

[InsaneTruth]

"No," Ebony said and swallowed lightly. "I... came out for food...an water," she told him as he hellped her up.

 

[Ricia]

"How long have you been alone?" Tannis asked quietly, though he didn't want to force her to come with him, he had a small idea that he might be taking her in. Specially if she was alone. She looked so small a fragile.

 

[InsaneTruth]

"seven months tomorrow," Ebony said straightening her skirt. She looked up at him shy and timid.

 

[Ricia]

"Perhaps... you can come with me? I have a home... a bit one. With plenty of space. It is safe and warm as well as it might not be so lonely." Tannis tried to convince the girl to come. It would be strange however, a creepy older man asking someone to come to his house. He really did hope he didn't come off that way....

 

[InsaneTruth]

"I live at the dance studio... I guess it's mine now since mom... mom and dad .. died," the girl bit her lip to not start crying again "I... I might be too much trouble,"

 

[Ricia]

"No... I don't think so... will you come? Just for a bit. if you dislike it, you can always leave." Tannis said softly.

 

[InsaneTruth]

"Oh... ok," Ebony said "you... you aren't sick right?" she asked though she knew the symptoms were random and didn't show till it was too late.

 

[Ricia]

"Well, its been a year and a half, I think if I was it would have struck by now. Come come, is there anything you want from your old place? I'll take you to mine." Tannis said with a kind smile.

 

[InsaneTruth]

"A picture some clothes... I have water bottles..." Ebony said

 

[Ricia]

Tannis nodded, "Come on... as you said its dangerous to linger.." He said gently pulling her to follow him to his car.

 

[InsaneTruth]

She got in the car and buckled up "how... do you get gas?" She asked softly

 

[Ricia]

"I have quite a bit at home. I scypened most of it from other card and gas pumps." Tannis said before starting the car up again. He actually proceeded to go to the story he was going to to get food. Just supplying up a bit more.

 

[InsaneTruth]

"Is ... this stealing?" Ebony asked following him. She tugged her skirt alot nervously her long jet black hair was up in a pony tail "Is there any laws anymore?"

 

[Ricia]

"Well.. who is going to tell us we are breaking the law?" Tannis asked with a small smile. "I think maybe there are laws, as long as we believe in them."

 

[InsaneTruth]

"Then... is this bad? oh... um I am Ebony Rose," Ebony told the man who helpped her.

 

[Ricia]

"Ebony, pleasure to meet you. My name is Tannis Easum." He said, "And surviving is not really bad in my eyes." He walked in to the building before looking around in hoped the area was well safe.
