Fantasy The Edge of Light

Quick Question, Can a let's say, Fire Mage, learn other types of magic as well?
Yes. In fact there is no real such thing as a fire mage. Mages are people who pick up and learn new spells. So mages can have a variety of different elemental, buff, and enchantment based spells.
 
So it's ok to have the light mage have know other spells?
Yes indeed. Each player has 6 slots for Magic and techniques. 3 low class, 2 mid, and one High.

So for example.

Natalie's list
Low-
Truestrike (T)- after sizeing up an opponent for a brief moment Natalie can ignore an opponents armor by finding gaps in their defense. (Excluding their sheild.) Evasion still applies.

Opening detection (M)- By using magic To detect slight changes in air pressure natalie can identify doors and Other objects that open even if they are Hidden by skilled craft. (Magically hidden Doors and chests cannot be detected in this way.)

Counter parry (T)- After an opponent launches an attack with a weapon of the same damage type as Natalie's current weapon natalie can choose to parry the attack and launch a counter strike in the same instant removing an opponents ability to Evade the attack, Armor still applies, and this cannot work on ranged attacks.

Mid-
Blinding flash (M)- By gathering her magic into the tip of her sword Natalie can temporarily blind all enemies within line of sight that are looking at her. She must warn allies as this can blind them as well. This attack can be blocked by covering ones eyes or even looking down.

Armor breaker (T)- A heavy two handed strike that leaves Natalie open to counter attacks but can break armor and sheilds on a successful strike. Evasion still applies.

High-
Helm splitter (T)- A downward strike capable of one hit kills, even on armored foes. The user must have the high ground and if unsuccessful they are open to counter attacks and take fall damage, if succesful and the foe is armored the user must wrench their blade free of the target.

Monsters Cont.

in the realm of Rhine monsters are prevelant sure...but by far the most powerful and feared are the three beasts of legend. Krakens the lords of the sea, intelligent and cruel monsters who use their size and domain to their advantage, Dragons the undisputed kings of the Skies and masters of destruction, And Giants the Towering behemoths of unrivaled strength. These creatures break armies and and change the landscape with their power anyone who can fell one oc these creatures has earned the respect and fear of all.

However there is one creature of legend that is so ancient and powerful that the known kingdoms that currently exist have forged their foundations as far from its stomping grounds as possible. A creature even the gods fear...the Tarrasque.

This creature has defied all logic and reason tanking attacks that would bust cities, and even surviving the God wars despite being heavily involved in their conflict. It is a beast that is said to hold royal gems in its carapace, the strongest armor and weapons can be forged from its bones, its skin makes leather that is impervious to all forms of elemental damage, and its stomach acid can melt even magical items. Entire towns and kingdoms have moved and fled from from it rather than face its wrath.​
 
Magical items & Legendary artifacts.

Throughout the realm of Rhine there are SpellSmiths, scholarly mages who have mastered mixing Magic and craft in much the same way adventurers mix Magic and Combat. These spellsmiths can create magical items and are also called enchanters. Modern magic items are created in a process where the maker forms a spell or effect to cast on the weapon or item then they spend several days charging the item with magic, the more time spent charging the more powerful the item. While charged magical items have a few uniform perks, firstly a magical item becomes incredibly durable and in many cases can only be broken with specific condition, they also become capable if interacting with corporeal or incorporeal targets, lastly they become impervious to the ravages of time. However once they have used up all of their stored magic the item becomes mundane once again, many item rapidly age to dust if they are too old. However these Spellsmith made items are little more than cheap copies of the original magical items...the legendary artifacts.

These are much more powerful magical items created by the gods during or before the great war. Their charges never run out, and they are impervious to most forms of destruction with only the tarrasques stomach being capable of destroying them (other ways may exist but this is the only known way.) These items are remarkably powerful and able to change the course of history with their vast power. The All seeing Eye of Gale, which allows the user to Scry across the entire planet and ignore magical anti-scrying defenses. The Igniting blade Darigaas said to be able to burn as hot as the sun. The Shield of Divinity, said to be able to reflect any attack. Even Zardu's Portable Pit, a foldable piece of circular black cloth that acts as a hole between dimensions or objects among many others. It is said that the Kingdom of Edenia was Started by a weilder of one of these artifacts, however the artifacts have a mind of their own and are actually able to choose their weilder. They are well known for being fickle and the Edenian Royal artifact has yet to reawaken since its first weilder 1200 years ago.​
