Fantasy The Dragon's Elves

She rolled her eyes in annoyance as she sent a quick flash of a frost ball that knocked his shield away and looked at him bellowing "Stop with that noise! Do you want to start an avalanche! Do you know how many creatures you'd hurt that live in the field? Now....Tell me what are you doing? Or leave so I can go back and help the wounded elf in my lair" she gestured to where the stained snow was "I found him wounded in the snow, I do not intend to fool you with the truth"

Conner's arm was nearly ripped out of it's socket at the force of the hit, but he had no time for pain. Sheathing (or holstering?) his axe, Conner pulls out his claymore. "Dragons have said they have told the truth before, dragons have said they are helping wounded before. Dragons have also lied before." Conner shouted back at the bellowing of the dragon. He would not believe that the dragon was helping someone until he saw the person with his own eyes. And even then he would have his doubts. Once more he took up the battle hymn, he would stand his ground against this dragon, it would not scare him away with a snowball and some roaring.

She rolled her eyes once more "I forget how many of you creatures have not heard of me" she grumbled and tapped the ground right in front of his feet, the soft snow turning into Ice and freezing his legs to the ground. "Now, I am not like other dragons, I have no means of harming the human race or any other creature for that matter, now you can either calm down or I'll freeze you into a ice cube just to prove a point" she still sat there calmly waiting for a response

Conner tugged at his leg to try and brake it free. Once that didn't work he pulled out his axe and chipped away at it until he could get it free. "Prove to me that what you say is true, and then I will start to calm down." Conner shouted back, lowering his claymore a little. Let an avalanche come, they cannot be as bad as the ones in the Far North.

Grumbled in annoyance and turned around, her tail curling around him and lifting him up to slide down to her neck as she opened her wings and took off into the sky, circling back around heading for the fields to let him visit her unicorn friends

After I take a look around of what's around me, I didn't find anything else interesting, so I turned around to walk back to my cottage. While I walk into the forest, I noticed something different and I have no clue on what's going on. I realized after a few hours that I'm lost. I couldn't find my small cottage, but I didn't give up. I kept searching, but still no luck.

As soon as the dragon was in the air, Conner clung onto the neck of the dragon. Being in the air was not meant for man. His shield. Well, if the dragon was friendly, then it would bring him back to it. If it wasn't, then he wouldn't need it anymore.

Ashurin swooped down swiftly seeing where Conner's shield had landed after she had so rudely blown it from him. So to say sorry she dipped down and grabbed it from were it was wedged in between a rock and a hard place. Holding it in her claws she softly glided in the air. Done with the quick movements and looked down as the unicorns in the field started to run as a group to there she would land in front of them and she smiled down at them.

Conner saw those strange horned horses, and the smile the dragon gave them. "I believe you." Conner said into the dragons neck. "Now please, put me down."

Ashurin bellowed with laughter as they landed near the unicorns. She extended her wing down for him to slide off back to the earth and the foals that came to greet her, ran over and started to climb on top of her and she laughed lightly at them.

"You spoke true, I apologize. I have had bad experiences with others of your kind. I wished to camp in the mountains because it reminded me of home. But I shall leave you now in peace. May the Ancestors smile on you and one day may they greet you in the Hall." Conner said the formal farewell with his fists over his heart and a small bow. He had just given this dragon the respect due to a cheiftan or an Elder.

She stopped playing with the foals and slid her head over to look at him, bowing her head low in graduated as she noticed the sign of high respect that he gave to her and she let a slow raspy voice roll out "Ah, I understand, many have and I feel ashamed to be apart of there race, but I was given my role and must keep it" she raised her head and using a claw she cut a scale off her leg and placed it next to him, it was as big as his shield and she bellowed "Dragon scale are valued in a town not to far from here, you can sell it for a high price, or you can use it as a shield. It is very durable and will last well after you have died" she went back to playing with the foals as she showed them some magic tricks

"Thank you." Conner said, bowing a bit deeper before straightening himself out once more and walking away. Dragon scales were tough, and valued almost anywhere. He decided it would better be used as a shield. It could fit nicely inside the iron ring. He might be able to return home now, but he had heard of a man who was denied adulthood when ge brought back the hides of a strange wolf pack, one of he was wearing. Just because he had a dragon scale didn't mean that the Elder and Chief would be impressed. After walking for who knew how long, he found a boulder. Hopefully this wasn't a home he thought as he sat down and leaned his back on it. It would take a while to fit the scale in, but he had time.

Ashurin left the foals, waving goodbye with her claws and watched as he left before flying off to her lair, walking back down to where she had left the elf and human and she sighed with relief that nothing happened while she was gone

I sighed frustrated, still lost. I took out something from my small bag, and dropped it on the ground. After a few seconds, I muttered to myself and the ground starts to shook and a tall beanstalk grew from the ground. It went up high above the trees and it grew towards where my cottage is located. I head to where it's headed and ran. I'm probably a long way from home.

Conner was still working on getting the scale set when he first heard it. A twig being snapped here, the rustling of leaves there. This was usually silent, but right now it was in a hurry. Cursing softly, Conner forgets about setting the scale and once more draws his axe. Once more he began the light tapping on his shield and the quiet chanting under his breath. He would be ready, and he would survive to return home.

Ryvuv's alone time with the shadow man had been awkward at best. He had remained silent. He could barely see the man in the dark corner of the room. As unnerved as he was, Ryvuv surveyed the room. He was surrounded by strange herbs and leaves he had never seen. The dragon's words made sense, but Ryvuv could barely believe it. He had never before heard of a benign dragon. Noticing how cold it was, Ryvuv summoned a small flame in his hand to warm himself. He was very grateful when the dragon finally returned. As the massive creature entered the room, Ryvuv noticed a disturbance in the dragon's armor. "What happened to your leg? I see you are missing a scale. Were you in a fight?" Ryvuv was suspicious. He had been led to believe that she was a peaceful dragon.

Bellowing with laughter "I gave my scale to a warrior, the highest respect one can receive from a dragon" she lifted her claw and tapped the place where the scale was missing and ice covered it "It will take many days for a new scale to appear, but my Ice is just as strong as my scaled body, It should be fine" she gazed at him and nodded "But, let us not worry about me. How is that nasty wound feeling?"

Ryvuv glanced at the wound on his arm. The ice had reduced swelling and had relieved him of the pain. But he stubbornly wouldn't admit it. The wound was deep though. "It will need stitching. Then I must take my leave."

She nodded and stood on her hind legs, turning around to grab some thread, and a pointed tip, it almost looked like a needle. She came back down and laid it in front of him and nodded "Then do so, I can-" she stopped knowing that it was a lie and sighed. She took a deep breath and blew a thick cold mist from her nose, making it very hard to see. She then started to transform into her "human" like form. A short girl only reaching five feet and four inches. With long dirty blond hair and the same smooth warm brown eyes with the golden speckles. She heaved a sigh as the mist cleared revealing to Ryvuv, that she had turned into a human.

Ryvuv's jaw dropped in astonishment. He had heard of some dragon's with this ability, but never really considered it. He eyed the shadow man suspiciously. He had felt something wrong with him, could he also be a dragon? Despite his suspicions, he truly felt a lot more comfortable talking with a humanoid than with a massive dragon. "I... How can you..." The girl before him was objectively pretty, albeit small, and Ryvuv had trouble speaking. He fell silent and busied himself with the thread and needle before him, flinching as he clumsily stabbed himself. "Damn these trolls." He muttered under his breath.

'Guess it was nothing.' Conner thought to himself after a while of him standing there mumbling chants under his breath. Sitting back down but axe still out and tense, Conner gets back into trying to fit the dragon scale into the shield. He just had to get a little bit into the iron ring and the rest would be easy, but that little bit was proving to be tougher then he thought.

Laughing, Ashurin's silk smooth voice flew out into the room "Ah, Let me help you, and I understand that it is strange to see a dragon transform into a human, right before your eyes, but this....Curse was put on me when I was found by my wizard father, after all I was abandoned before I hatched...This is what my father gifted me when He found me, turning me into a human baby, not long when I was older did I find out I was really a dragon, but by then my father had died" She spoke these words as she took the needle form him and slowly started to stitch up his wound, getting quicker with ever movement. Finally after a few minutes she finished and made a small tie at the end to keep it shut. Then she drifted her hand lightly above it and let some ice form around it. The ice felt warm rather than cold and happily she smiled to him "That is how you stitch up a wound"

"Ah-ha!" Conner shouted as he was able to get a part of the scale in the iron ring of the shield. As he thouught, the rest of the scale slipped into place nicely. Now he had to go test it, and what better way to do that then to try it against a troll.

Ryvuv thanked her for the neat stitching and the soothing ice. "So your father gave you this... ability... and raised you as a human child? He must have been a very powerful wizard." He said, impressed. "Now if you would lead me to an exit, I would be grateful." And go where? He thought. Where can I go now? He wanted revenge. But how could he achieve it? Going back to civilization sounded very unappealing to him. He sighed and twirled his staff, a bad habit. His life had just been turned upside down. The death of his teacher was still fresh in his mind, but he had refused to fully consider it. He felt his eyes watering but blinked. Never look weak in front of a dragon.
