SO i was racking my lil peanut brain over what kind of equipment richie would bring— i just wanted to ask if the crew would utilize film cameras/tape recorders in any way (obviously not very high tech ones, maybe not even current ), possibly as a way to keep track of investigations and evidence and whatnot??

also just really dig the idea of him being the begrudging stagehand/them reviewing tapes and realizing that they recorded smth that they didnt hear before EHEHEH​

Oh def! We wont have a budget for it within the scope of the RP that isnt out of most peoples pockets so tape recorders and camera systems would be as rudimentary as it gets. If you’ve seen the scene from the first conjuring where they set up shop, thats like the goal Later for us!

The three equipment dont have to be ghost related at all. There will be a “store” in the discord to use currency thru posts to save up and get equipment to use later in posts/hauntings. For example I think my nun has a bible, a pen, and some peppermint oil.

There are a few folks that branched out a bit from the roles provided but they'd kinda chatted before it and we'd worked out what fit with the dynamics! So just wondering what you had before hand so we can work that out

so my idea was that she's a runaway heiress from texas () who sort of wanders around in a daze? semi-eccentric and kind of vacationing through life, because she doesn't have to work or be a citizen really, and she would sort of plop down in the middle of this weeknight church group like her appearance there isn't somewhat jarring at all?
her motives are earnest, though: strange and terrible childhood that's left her unable to be normal, memories she can't explain et cetera. the usual. she's gracious and talkative enough, multilingual and well-travelled and good-humoured & so on, though there could (would?) be some degree of resentment between her and the rest for the reasons you'd expect. and she's the benefactor because, given that her circumstances don't change, she can throw her weight in money around and solve a bunch of problems for the group if/when they arise.
i originally had her as the rationalist so if this doesn't work at all i can just rewrite her as that dfksdfs

Rationalist works best if you don’t mind it’s not that a benefactor is a bad idea, but the whole dynamic of the group is moreso a bunch of people who wouldn’t otherwise get together throwing away much of their own lives in order to kinda pursue this, first as a “lets see what happens” and then maybe something more later on. Circumstances will be uncomfortable and unfortunate especially money wise, another group building trial rather than something that can be solved.
