Snow
upload_2017-8-1_9-39-47.png

Snow looked at Sera as she hugged her, gasping softly as she hugged her back, burrowing into her for comfort and warmth. “I’m trying so hard to fight it.” She gasped, not making any sense of course. But Snow knew that she needed to fight this urge… the bloods call. “I’m sorry. I’m sorry I’m crying.” She gulped out, the lump in her throat stinging. She sniffed, her nose and eyes both wet. Snow needed to calm down, to get a hold of herself. But her chest wouldn’t stop clenching, her breath just out of reach as the sobs rack through her.

“I… Sera I’m a monster! Y-you don’t… I can’t explain… but, b-but I did so m-many things. I’m trying. I’m t-trying to have control but I… I bonded so s-soon and I… It w-wants it so much. Fighting it is s-so hard Sera.” whimpering she pulled away, hiding her head in her hands as she sunk to her knees, crouching on the balls of her feet.

“I told him to stay away. I TOLD Patrick and he… h-he j-just… he didn’t. And Lucas hates m-me, thinks… he won’t even talk t-to me. Why w-would he when I can’t even remember him most of the time and I took away h-his will the FIRST time we m-met. And Kore hates me. She knew… she knew what I was… that I wasn’t... I w-wanted to hear it again. The song. I needed it so b-bad… how horrible is that?! How horrible a-am I?” She screamed, pulling at her hair as she cried. Her stuttering bad since her tongue was heavy with guilt.

“Ryu saved my life and… a-and my blood wanted to use him! Every p-person Sera!” She looked up at her, her eyes bright red and hair pure white, her thorns slowly poking out. “Every p-person I meet who has any power… I h-hear it. I hear the song of their blood and I want it. I want to share it with them a-and bond with them… I can’t look at p-people without my a-abnorm-mality wanting to take something fr-from them. I’m… I’m horrible!!”

She cried again, barely noticing Lucas as he walked up to them quickly, quite alarmed. Snow flinched away from him, in her mind she felt the air trying to suffocate her on how uncomfortable it was being around him. He hated her… well… she thought he hated her anyways. Someone was hurt? Snow looked panicked at Sera. “Go. Go I’ll get help. The guys in the bar can help far better than I can.”

She looked at Lucas, her eyes so sad for a friendship she never got to have with him. “They should have heard you but… I’ll make sure.” She whispered, not daring to look at Sera since she had basically unloaded on her all of Snow’s issues. She turned, running towards the bar when another pair of eyes caught her’s… Ryu’s.

“Ryu…” She whispered softly, taking one step towards him but… how would she even get to him? She stared, hoping he was well enough to help Lucas and Sera… but Snow couldn’t be around him. Not after what she had almost done to him.

She ran into the tavern, looking at everyone before calling out loudly... no screaming, and for one of the very few times, not stuttering.

“Help!! Lucas and Sera need help! Girl under the rubble!! Outside!!”

She let out a breath and ran back out knowing she would be followed soon. Sera and Lucas were still visible for them… Snow wasn’t needed… and after her speech she didn’t even want to see Sera. So I’ll do what I do best… Snow thought bitterly, one more glance up at Ryu…

She ran away from it all.

Characters: First - Second - Fifth

Actions: Snow's call - Patrick's refusal.

"This is your war as much as it's ours!" she spoke with the same tone Patrick answered to her as he turned his back, lacking of respect and the endurance to continue, "Run away if its of your desire, hide in the darkness corner on this planet with the children if you can't accept the true. But don't dare to mock me - Not after what *I* had done for you." it little mattered at this point, Patrick turned around and walked away the words had been thrown expertly. The Third had been by Patrick's good side for the whole time he had been operating with The Warden, supporting this so call *alliance* but now - now she might not even stand by his side any longer. The Thought alone flies through every projection so it is known to all of them, Mr. O has taken the last straw.

A scream of help from a defenseless child interrupted Second and Fifth music, taking the instruments away as they walked outside to presence the need of aid. The Third walked outside as well, though first she glared towards the First whom has not moved a finger, not at all in fact, he seem to stay vigilant in order to be ready when Vira wakes up.

When Third reached outside, she saw the event in which the need of aid was required and - also - saw the child running away without an explanation to dart off from the situation. Whatever the possibility she would come back without a scar or alive at all were migrant hence why Third proposed, "Fifth, rooftop. Keep an eye on her." the projection materialized his bow crossing his chest as he climbed up the wall, ready for pursue. The Second and Third moved forward to inspect the situation at hand. They moved to remove the rubble as it seem to be needed but probably they wanted someone else for such a job, or they need of them to do something else. Therefore, instead of guessing, the Second asked, "What can we do?"

Kore Dair
Everyone was so loud... There was no way Kore would be able to sleep. She had ignored the strange male as he wandered off again, and just listened to Sera and followed her instructions as she gave Ryuji the medicine, not saying anything.
Sera wants me to tell him that I took care of him? But I didn't do anything... Kore decided she would refrain from saying such a thing... After all, it was her fault he was in such a state, it was only decent of her to seek medical attention for him.
Despite the noise, Kore's eyes drifted shut, but snapped open when Ryuji sat up, extending a hand towards him "Ry-" aaand he was gone. Sigh... Nevermind. She no longer had to look after him now, and a weight lifted from her shoulders, although he probably just wanted to get away from her - she couldn't exactly blame him. She jumped when Snow came in screeching about an injured girl, there was nothing Kore could do anyway, so she took the opportunity to crawl on her hands and knees behind the bar, it was darker here and away from the people inside the building, and she curled up into a tight ball, almost instantly falling asleep there on the floor.
Screaming. She was screaming, her lungs hoarse and gasping for air after hours of this. Her eyes looked wildly around, the dark shadows surrounded her in the blinding, sterile white light. It hurt, oh god it hurt so much. A deep, robotic voice murmured behind the black shadows that hurt her ".... Able to... Can... Subject 216....", was that her name? She was sure there was another, a pretty one, but she couldn't remember.
Subject 216 swam in and out of consciousness, her voice had died hours ago, her laboured, raspy breaths were the only noise she made now. Her hands were tied above her head on the cold metal table, her feet tied also, so she was in an X shape, her naked, young body vulnerable on the operating table. blood pooled beneath her, the jagged and roughly stitched gashes covering her stomach, chest and thighs were ugly, a mix of pink red and black - uncared for. Another sharp pain coursed through her neck, as a needle was stabbed into her, and she lost consciousness again.
She awoke, finally, back in the baggy top and trousers and in her cell. Everything was grey, her clothes, her cell, her bed, the food. But she liked grey, grey meant rest, meant alone, meant safe, no pain. White meant pain, meant people, meant hurt, drugs, the black shadows looming over her crying form, prodding her, cutting her, burning her, electrocuting her, stabbing her, stitching her. Grey was nice. She curled up in the corner, under the bed, in a tight ball, closing her eyes that shed silent tears, the black thread that held her together, held the massive gashes over her tiny body closed, the black thread pulled, she could feel it tugging at her skin, at her organs as she moved to her safe place, the dark place, under the bed, away from the constant, permanent light of her grey box. She curled into her ball there, and cried herself to sleep, cried the pain away into oblivion...

Snow

Ducking underneath a half torn down building, Snow sat. Her lungs were burning and her legs were sore from the cuts of her thorns. Why had she done that? Downloaded all of her problems onto Sera and run from it. Because she was a coward. She was such a coward she even repressed her past… fighting every second it tried to come up… but it was becoming harder and harder to do so.

She thought for a moment… and closed her eyes, leaning back as the waves of the past washed over her.

From the moment she was born Snow was marked different. Her hair, her eyes, her skin. All signs of a Devil’s child. Her parents tried for a couple years to love her… but they couldn’t get past it. She was a monster to them… The townspeople beat her and abused her until finally at the age of six she wound up in those chains in the barn. They discovered her true abilities in that barn… and hated her even more for it.

An Abnorm who could power up other abnorms… they called her a Blood singer. And for years they would force her to announce which children were Devil’s children and which were not. Whenever a babe was born they were brought to the barn where a skinny skeleton of a girl waited. Most of the time blood didn’t call out to her strongly enough to determine if it was abnorm or strong human if the child had hit puberty. But babies were different. Babies were not strong yet, so the only call she would be picking up… would be abnorm. Hardly any abnorms were discovered like this… but one night a child was brought into the barn. The child would grow up to be powerful, it’s blood singing so softly to Snow. She widened her eyes and spoke slowly, “No. Normal.” The townspeople sighed in relief and the babe was spared.

That little boy grew up always running to the barn, hiding and watching the strange girl. Six years had passed and Snow was 12. They called her Blood Singer but her parents still sometimes slipped and referred to her as Snow. The boy at first hated her as all the village children did… but then his abnormality triggered.

One night in the barn, the boy was hiding behind some hay and throwing rocks at Snow, hitting her in the head to make her bleed. One of his favorite past times, when suddenly he fell over, exposing himself to her. Snow watched through blurry red vision, the blood having dripped from her head to her eyes, as he writhed and little sparks flew out of his fingers. He gasped and slammed his hand on the ground in a small puddle, a sound of thunder rolling out as lightning flashed and a puff of dark cloud crackled out. The puddle was gone.

He had the ability to make water into storm clouds… an odd abnormality. He became to come to barn even more frequently, but now not to torture her… to learn how to hide. She told him to never tell anyone of his gift and as soon as he was old enough to run from this place. He needed to find a private place to strengthen his gift… hopefully make it strong enough to fight off those who would certainly kill him.

When the night came for Snow to be taken away to the WG headquarters, the eve of her 13th birthday, the boy could not take it. He was 10 now and for a kid, thought he was much older.

“You aren’t evil Snow! You can’t be… You could have told anyone about me and you didn’t… Snow, you saved my life. I love you Sissy...”

Snow whispered softly. “When I was your age… I took control of a soldier and sentenced him to a fate worse than death. He had to be subject to my power for years… years… till finally he killed himself.” Their eyes met. Not much older then each other. “I am evil. I crave power more than anything… I am so… addicted to blood songs now. If I were not in chains… my power would make me want to add your blood’s song to my collection. I’m not your sister”

“No you wouldn’t. And you are… you are the big sister I never had.”

“Well it doesn’t matter.” Snow looked away and tears fell. “You need to go before they take me…”

And he left… but not before starting the storm. He stood in the river that flowed past their town and slapped his hands down, the energy and sparks in his hands converting and powering the water to change form into clouds… thunder clouds. The storm headed straight towards the barn and Snow was freed. She ran away that night. Never figured out what happened to the little boy who saved her… how monstrous.

Snow woke up from her slight sleep, biting her lip as the world around her spun for a moment. She was dizzy from hunger and thirst, her crying gone now, her emotions calmer. Snow didn’t know what to think… on one hand she had saved a baby boy, helped someone who had hurt her… but on the other the first chance she got she ran away into the night and didn’t look back to see if he had made it out alright.

The boy… maybe it had something to do with why she was so desperate to help the hunter. To make sure he survived… The boy’s name was Lucas. Snow knew that her Lucas was much younger than this hunter. And she of course also had no way of knowing the hunter Lucas was actually the Hunter Lucca… but still… she breathed easier thinking maybe her Lucas had survived… and maybe she had atoned just a bit by making sure the hunter had survived the trip through the woods…

Would she have saved him if his name wasn’t Lucas? Probably… but still…

“Thank you Lucas… for saving me from that night. I’m so sorry I didn’t take you with me… saved you too. But I did save this hunter… I saw he was an abnorm and didn’t even know it. Like you. There’s a lot of similarities you know… Both of you hurt me, people like me when you thought you weren’t one of us. But… you know that you could have stabbed me and I still would have never told anyone your secret. You and Seb-... you two are the only boys I will ever allow myself to love. Allow to love me. Loving me made you both try to save me… but he was just a human and you were just a kid! I should have been saving you… I should have… why am I so weak? Why am I so weak?”

When: A Future Arc
Where: Fearsome Lords

"The One took a heavy loss in the South-West region," a voice was saying to another.
"If you think that's all that it'll take to get rid of that annoying pest, then you're not as smart as I thought you were Season," the male spoke up. Glancing away, he tapped his chin. "What we really need to focus on, is getting rid of those infernal prophets and those pesky devils."
"Sir? We have an allian-.."
"Season?! Did your brain cells die overnight or something?!" He growled out, rounding back on the other. "The alliance is a sham! Both The Devil and Ezekiel have plans. Don't be so ignorant you naive idiot! I heard Ezekiel is already hard at work on something massive..." He narrowed his eyes. "The Alliance of The Big Three will come to a close soon enough, Season. Make no mistake, I intend to have us Lords come out on top." He grinned wickedly. "We'll rule all of New-America. If I have anything to say about it; you can bet on that!"
"Uhm, what about the World Government?" Another questioned.
The primary speaker turned to the other, flashing them a smile. "That's why we start now. I think they've been allowed too much freedom, don't you? We're Abnorms. What can they really do?"
"Forgive me, but now who is the naive one?" the other said plainly. "After all, they have Zach Merk."
Turning, he nodded, but said haughtily. "Right. I think it's time us S ranks banded together, huh?" He looked down at the map on the table, moving a few pieces over to a structure. In a firm voice, he announced. "We're going to free him."
"Us?" Season questioned, looking at what he was doing. "Isn't.. isn't that dangerous?"
"Well, no. Not us. Others." He looked towards Season, "Yes it is. So obviously, we need to send others. You wouldn't want us Lords to be captured if something happened to go wrong, would you?"
"W-what would possibly go wro-..?" this one was cut off by Season's question.
"-N-no... then.. Who?"
"Who indeed?..."
The primary speaker grinned, obviously having something up his sleeve.

Tanya & Morgan

The pair returned down the stairs, leaving Nissa and Khayn to deal with the emotionally unstable woman. "Well, at least Nissa will be of use." Tanya whispered to Morgan whom only responded.

"And Khayn's so dense that he'll probably never realize something's going on. He's a good venting tool like that."

"Yeah. But he does know how to lighten a mood. I just hope Nissa can help the woman stay calm long enough for him to rub off on her."
Tanya sighed just as one girl ran in and mentioned another person was in trouble. "My goodness, this day just keeps on going." Tanya sighed as she ran out the door to go help whomever was in trouble. As she reached the pile she saw the small blue haired girl, finally cleared out from under the pile of debris. "I'm glad so many people came to help." She smiled before shooing them to the side and setting down her bag of supplies. Her immediate reaction was to check the girl's pulse. Sure she was breathing, but that wasn't ALWAYS a guarantee. There were some freaky abnormalities out there. With a pulse confirmed Tanya started to work, she needed to get the shrapnel out of the girl's leg and get that wound patched up before moving her. "Alright, which of you boys has the steadiest of hands right now? Because someone has to carefully remove this piece of metal from her leg so I can get to work on fixing it up so that your nurse can make sure the rest works." She spoke calmly to each of the men around hoping one of them would be able to help her.

Morgan however went over and sat down near the man that had nearly destroyed Crackerjack with a single punch. "Playing cards? What's your game?" She smirked as sat down and looked about. The group seemed lively enough, but ultimately it looked like the problem children were still the woman upstairs, the missing shader, the little girl with an axe on her lap, and the girl that had called out that someone had gotten hurt. "Is your group ALWAYS this excitable?" Morgan asked as she placed her hand onto the table, awaiting the man to deal out the cards.

Khayn Powers

"There's no reason to hide how you feel. At least, not around Nissa." The small cuddly panda bear Khayn pawed at the woman's leg trying to climb up into her lap. It wasn't going so well as he quickly lost balance and rolled onto his back. It took a couple of seconds of tossing around to get back on his feet. "Being in this form has its disadvantages. But for a strong woman like you, I'll tough it out." He slowly climbed up into her lap and nuzzled against her uninjured side. "It's tough being on your own. Heck, if not for Nissa, I'd be a lonely panda myself." Khayn spoke as he curled up on her lap. "But despite being called Abnorms, deep down, we're still human. We still crave someone to accept us. And it's not weakness to let your guard down for a moment." He looked up with his adorable glossy eyes. "At least, I won't." His words held sincerity. He wasn't exactly being tactful, but he was being earnest, like he was in everything he did. "So, would you like to vent? Even if it's not all your problems, but something small. Like someone you miss and haven't been able to share that with anyone."

Khayn placed his head down on her lap. "I'll tell you mine first. I miss my grandfather." Khayn's eyes shimmered with a hint of loneliness for a moment. "He was a strong man. A good person that taught me the true idea of being a hero. Someone who stands up for the defenseless and rescues people in danger. But he died, not trying to be a hero. But because he was an abnorm sympathizer." Khayn sighed as he continued to lay there. "He was killed by a bunch of humans who thought abnorms were only Devil's Children, and yet despite that. I can't fault them for that thinking. I can't come to hate people for the actions of a few. So I continue to be a hero, in his place." Khayn chuckled a bit before looking back to her. "Not much of an origin story, but it's mine." He playfully pawed at her stomach. "What about you beautiful?"

Scarlett O'Hare

All this excitement meant nothing to the small girl. Conflict wouldn't matter as they were all going to die at some point anyway. Being hurt? An inevitability when walking the path to demise. It was a vicious cycle running through the downtrodden girl's mind. Even as she watched Patrick yelling she couldn't find the energy to move to his side. She just curled up tighter. She couldn't do anything except destroy everything around her and there were still others that could do that better. The past few hours showed her that. Scarlett, why are you crying? A voice cooed to her in the darkness, but she ignored it. She wasn't Scarlett, she wasn't dog, she was NOBODY.

Moving closer to the injured girl with blue hair, Garret wanted to lend a hand- even if that was all he was able to do. "I can do it.." A few second thoughts popped into his head since he thought he remembered being told not to remove something impaling you until someone was able to promptly and fully care for it. Reasoning with himself that the barkeep looked like she knew what she was doing, he placed one hand near the site of impalement and one on the end of the pole sticking into the air

He gently and slowly pulled it out with the most fluid and least shaky movement he could do, only faltering a little in the beginning when pain reminded him of his own wounds. Once it was out, he quickly stepped back and stared at the pole. Garret grimaced at the thought of it having been him to be impaled and lying on the ground, and as he did so he tossed it aside. He felt his nostrils practically burning with the stench of a now far too common metallic scent of blood.

Taking a few more steps back, he reached into his pocket and pulled out the other piece of jerky he hadn't gotten to eat yet. Inhaling deeply with it beside his nose, the scent of blood was overwhelmed by the mouth-watering scent of the wonderful food. This helped him calm down and made the situation seem better than it was, simply through what he smelled. Garret nibbled a chunk off the end before putting the rest back in his jacket pocket.

Second tilted his head to the side as he ensured the sleeves of his robe were up to his elbow, though it was an illusion and those were not sleeves nor an ordinary robe but their bodies expressing themselves to the world and how they projected themselves, "Shall we began, Third?" he said at the first task at hand as he moved to lift up the rubble alongside with Third - they both groaned and panted as they moved the objects in order to appear it was a hard task, one that required physical strength. It was hard in a way, but not because of lack of endurance but the limits of their own strength. Regardless, the pieces of metal began to be removed by them as the two analyzed which to take first just avoid more accidents.

"With all this ruble - maybe we should - clean up the wound - before patching it up." the Second added into the conversation with Tanya, in order to know her personality - he spoke between breathes hence the cutting. The Third understood way he seek to speak with her, though she did not seem to feel her as an abnormal or a potential threat. But perhaps she was wrong and she represented another level of threat. It changed nothing.

Each step taken with absolute carefulness, aiming the right roof and not one that would crack and send him into a hole he would never *ever* get out from. But the biggest concern on his mind was the focus on their mission, the group proved to fend off an attack of this characteristic, yet it seem they were still needed here. The Warden had yet to speak to them, to organize them. His thoughts were... troubling.

Over all his thoughts he failed to realize, though not too late, that Snow has finally set up her location. A building that seem ready to give up, any moment now. "What is this little brat doing?" pondering for himself, whispering as he looked around. He tried to spot enemies, anything that characterizes as enemy. But then, The Second's words stroke him ~"Anyone whom isn't us... is an enemy."~ he is right and wrong at the same time, is that possible?

Finally, the Fifth leap off from the rooftop and crawled from a different entrance point, just to hear what Snow was saying. It seemed as she was talking to someone, but he did not spot anyone getting in, was this person already inside? He crawled inside more and more when he realize she was speaking to no one but herself.

"If you measure a fish's intelligence by his ability to climb a tree... then the fish is stupid." he responded with what seem to be a quote, he raised both of his hands showing her he was no monster neither tried to hurt her, "A wise man then said, there are all kind of intelligence and strengths." he raised both of his shoulders as he nodded, "I want to believe they are right." his bow began to vanish from his back, becoming nothing but particles of light, the same one can see if you stand by a window.

He then, register what he had on his back as he accommodate himself, "I am- sorry. The mask." he pointed to his mask, one that seem to be no section for the nose or the right eye, "Some people believe it's to scare others - true is it exist to remind us who we are, not let ourselves be betrayed with our faces. Poetic isn't it, do you like poetry?"

Tanya

She began work immediately. The alcohol was quickly applied. "Disinfecting." She grumbled as she quickly took care of it. The next step was making sure the wound would stop bleeding. She only had a couple of ways, but luckily enough the metal hadn't gone through her leg. Luckily and unluckily it looked like the weapon itself had kept the blood from flowing freely and the amount of time had allowed it to at least coagulate. But that meant she'd probably need the antibiotics in the bag as the wound wouldn't be clean. "Damn it." She cursed as she pulled out the thread and stitched the girl's leg together. It would take time for her to get back to full, but at least she would survive this, maybe. "Okay, now I need to get her inside." Tanya slowly tried to life the girl without moving her so that the wound would reopen. She just wasn't strong enough. She glared at the men around her, looking for some help. "We need to carry her inside and set her up on the counter. That pipe stopped the wound from bleeding, but it also sealed up. I've seen enough people die from shit like this to make your mom cry." Tanya may not have had a medical degree, but right now, any antibiotics would be of use, hopefully. "Nurse, you may be hurt, but you need to come with me." Tanya picked up her bag and motioned for the tavern. "This isn't going to be cheap, but it'll save her life, hopefully." Tanya spoke coolly as she looked to the people. Hopefully they'd just do as she said.

The Third moved to the woman's arms and took her from the top side while The Second patted Tanya away as he made his way and ensured the bottom side- "At the count of three-" they were best for this job, since they both shared thoughts and so on would share the count down. They counted down to three and lifted the woman up as they watched the result of their actions, hoping they have not just made a huge mistake.

They kept her up until Tanya would so call them in and bring the almost corpse inside the bar. There was hoping, from arms and legs - holding a woman's life from nothing but a thread.

The boy found his own wounds and how much the smell of blood was invading his nostrils kept him from helping anymore. Pulling his red scarf up over his nose to cover the bottom half of his face, he found it was only somewhat successful in hiding the stench. And that was even with the scent of peppers that his scarf gave off- it was his own way to ward off intolerable smells. He ran back to the tavern and did just about the last thing he could think to do; he held the door wide open for them. It wasn't much but he hoped it would help expedite the girl's treatment and hopeful recovery.

Vira

Tib199u.png

So the two women left? Wasn't the whole purpose of the barkeeper lady dragging her up here to keep her in the company of women? Yet she brought up the weird, idiotic male? Seemed conflicting... Yet Vira also heard the panicked call from downstairs. She was feeling oddly calm, elsewise she probably would've also responded to such a call.. Though most wouldn't think her capable, if they judged her like she assumed they did.

Holding a slight grudge against both the barkeeper and her boy-girl bouncer, it was time to focus on the two loons before her. At least one was a female, so the barkeeper didn't exactly lie, or whatever. Not that it really mattered.. Both were equally screwy in her mind.

'How many times do I have to say it? Play nice,' Ellie chided in her mind, 'materializing' beside the pink-haired girl. Side by side, even the short pink-haired girl dwarfed her little sister. Who stood there in a pretty white dress. Her blonde hair glowed, and her entire presence was majestic gold and white. It was unusual.. because Ellie had never once looked like that.

Instantly, the male shapeshifter began to annoy her. The girl clutching her hand was trying to force her to be calm, she could feel it, and her power was raging because of it. It was giving her quite the irritating headache. "Oh, you'll tough it out for little ol' me? How chivalrous of you! Thanks," her tone was sarcastic.

Vira glared down at him when he mentioned them all being Abnorms. He had no idea who she was, or what she was. Shoving him while he brazenly climbed up against her, she hissed, "Get off me you weird puffball! You don't know me! You don't know who I am. Neither of you do!" Her eyes flashed towards the girl. "Whether she pretends to or not." Vira decided to get dark. "Also, you two are making it blatantly clear you are Abnorms. You don't know if I'm one, or a sympathizer. I could be a Hunter for all you two know! Nice. Good job endangering yourselves." She said directly at Nissa, with the girl probably feeling Vira's anger starting to rise again. "Also, it's quite rude to enforce your abnormality on others."

That was a mild warning. Then she growled out, "Grrr! I am not weak! I'm not 'letting my guard down', or whatever nonsense that is! And I'm fucking not lonely, either!! St-stop. saying. I. am!" She shook her head back and forth, lengthy ponytail swishing. "No no no no! I don't need any of that! I don't want any of that! I already have someone to confide in! I already have Ellie!"

'Ummm...' Ellie mused in confusion.

When Vira realized what she said, she clammed up. It seemed even with the girl manipulating her emotions, Vira's deep-seeded issues made her emotions so tumultuous it wasn't super possible to control them all. The girl probably had her work cut out for her. At any rate, admitting Ellie's name aloud caused Vira to soften and lower her energy. With the man-panda going on about his grandfather, Vira could only be contrarian. "IIII... reeeally don't care," she breathed out boredly, giving him a meh expression. "Ah, so he's the naive fool that made you a naive fool. Got it." Finally he was finished. As was she.

"Don't call me beautiful," Vira retorted, pushing him away from her stomach. Bucking away the girl's hand, Vira strode towards the stairs. With no more words she walked down them, her boots thumping on the wood and getting quieter and quieter til she entered the tavern proper, leaving the two behind.

Feeling weary and with her head spinning, Vira walked over to the bar. She quickly snatched up a few bottles of various liquors. "It's fine," she grumbled, "I already paid for them." Cradling them, she walked away, but paused. The door to the tavern was pushed open. Some guy she didn't recognize had it held open. His red scarf was around his face, and he had silvery-white hair. Not that she cared. Down the path, in the dim light of torches, Vira observed the others with the presumably injured girl. So that's what the commotion was all about. She stood there, watching, popping open one of the bottles, and sipping from it. Probably unwise at this point, but fuck it. Vira was ignoring her power, and trying to.. well who knows.

Three figures stood on a hill overlooking a facility hidden in some overgrown forest. It's silvery surface was just barely visible, glinting in the sunlight through the trees. The leader nodded to the two others, then they dashed down the hill.

..

Minutes later they invaded the place, easily breaking into the structure that seemed to have no windows or doors. It didn't matter, the three made their own. Within the group looked around. It seemed abandoned. No lights on. Dreary haze flooding the drab halls, that they expected to be shined to pristine condition.

"Are we in the wrong place?"
One questioned.
"No. Don't let it fool you. They're here. Those WG scum. Keep searching. Fan out!" He made a few hand signals, then the three figures dashed off in different directions, down different unkempt halls.

Searching the seemingly abandoned facility, the three met up in a inconspicuous place. Though the outside was opening-free (except the one they made), and the place was in disrepair, there seemed to be some grasses and foliage that had somehow managed to break into it like they had. Their current location had underbrush and some trees sprouting up at the corners of the room. It was all natural, save for the obvious WG building they stood in. It was obvious, not from the outside -that was blank-, but from inside. Where the WG's emblem was plastered all over the place. A beautiful, extravagant golden and silver and white star formation, with a cross mixed in if you viewed the symbol closely.

"Ugh, self-righteous bastards," one was groaning, rolling his eyes, staring at the big emblem on the floor. "It's so gaudy."
"It's sacrilegious," the other agreed, yet stated her own opinion. Solemnly she ran her hands along the edges of the emblem that were etched into the ground, just barely felt under fingertip. "How dare these hypocrites use Christian imagery. The sins they comm-"

"Enough," the other commanded, making the two look up at him. "I understand your reason for being indignant, Eden. But this isn't the time. Look." He pointed. Though the two seemed to be confused at what he pointed at. Sighing, he explained, "I knew this place was unusual. Look there. Vegetation... yet here, on the emblem.."
"It's completely free of anything like that," Eden noticed.
"Correct." He walked over and fumbled with something. Moments later, a hissing sound was heard, and the other two were forced to step back, as the WG emblem split, opening. There was a ladder leading down into a lit area.

"They're below," the other pointed out the obvious. "Clever bastards... Is that where he is? Where we'll find him?"

The other man grinned, "I suspect so. Let's go." He was the first to leap down, followed by Eden, then the third. They disappeared into the bowels of this WG facility.

Location: Inside the bar.

Characters: First

Actions: Vira's arrival.

He kept watch as much as he did not. If it had to be described physically, the projection had been looking forward, staring at the void of his mind while his whole body did not give up to relax or take a single breath. His whole structure pretended to be a solid object, static, without a single life-sign or a heart-beat. Nothing at all moved him to react, not the screams, not the whole commotion nor even did anything - but one single thing.

Finally the woman he has so expected arrived at the bar asking nothing more but more booze to consume her own perception, or something else. His sight moved as he followed her with his hidden eyes beneath the mask. He recovered his own breath as he continued to analyze her, understanding her seem to be his only entertainment by now. He wanted to find an excuse to eradicate her, or perhaps just to chat a moment.

He stood up slowly as she attempted to walk through the door out of the tavern when the people began to come in again. Priceless timing. What caught his attention now was that the girl did not comment about it, just stared down at the situation at hand. No commentary given to express at her fullest her mind neither a sudden move - only stood there as she pursue to find whatever lays at the bottom of the bottle.

The First stood there, of course - watching, observing. He formed no word, no attempt to call her attention. He did only watch - and watch... His hands folded behind him and his head leaned forward just slightly in order to zoom into her, almost as if he tried to read her soul, a blueprint of what experiences she had in order to construct such a character; though a pointless attempt into doing so - he is no mind reader - yet there it was. So eager and so obsess, he did not only wanted to hate her - he wanted to *worship* his hatred over her. But - he could not, at least not in the way he used to describe hate.

Probably - most definitely - because he knows, deep inside the spot where he should have a heart, he knows she might be broken. A broken clock that hits twelve o'clock before time, a seer without eyes, a software without hardware, a writer without a pen, a soldier without orders... A broken thing - just like himself.

Nissa
tumblr_mamkn1rWyr1re17xwo1_500.gif

Nissa blinked as Khayn spoke. His words were true and his feeling pure. No one could hide how they were feeling around her this close. “Lonely panda.” She repeated in her odd monotone way. Khayn was trying to bond… his feelings almost making Nissa respond… but her mind and heart stayed blank. Perfectly.

This woman interested Nissa… she felt the feelings of two inside her. Disappointment, hope, happiness, frustration… While the woman's feelings were mostly calm since Nissa was changing them to be that way. But also… irritated, angry… offended, insulted… such a strange mix.

Nissa looked at her blankly, truly interested in this creature. Nissa also felt her lie to her… they both knew Nissa was not pretending to know her. She did. But the woman was feeling denial as well. Then she went off on abnorms… it was clear how she felt on the subject, personally offended and defensive and Nissa knew she felt more strongly about being one so she was one. “You are abnorm. You feel disgusted with the idea of Hunters. You feel pity and compassion to the idea of sympathiser and you feel belonging to the group of Abnorms. You are abnorm.” Nissa was confused and for once her face broke its expressionless stare to crook her head.

“I could not hide it. My hair gives it away. I am not endangered anymore then when I hid because now I am a bit stronger and I have Khayn the hero. And he is stronger. I did force it. You were feeling too angry and blindy enraged. You were being stupid. And being called stupid would have angered you so I made you calm.” Nissa never talked this much but she made her want to talk. Her words held no emotion, no blame or guilt. Purely facts.

“You are weak. Emotionally weak. You are heavily compromised… by Ellie? You have a lot of feelings when you say her name. You should deal with them. Maybe you won’t be so lonely. I have decided you need a friend. I shall be your friend.” Nissa nodded as the other person in this woman felt confused. So she didn’t want to talk about this girl...defensive, sad, lonely, nostalgic, loving, caring, protective, guilty… aww… Nissa forgot to keep pumping in calming emotions and the woman left… huh…

Nissa looked at Khayn blankly. “Isn’t she so sweet? I’ve never met someone so caring as she is… I am glad I am her friend now.” Nissa had never officially made friends with anyone but Khayn. And with him she had done the same thing, told him they were friends. And now they were partners… so she thought that was how you did it.

Mason Dagitus
Mason sighed as he took a seat in the tavern far away from anyone else. A new girl had just barged in along with the people carrying the blue haired girl
He sighed as he realized how bleak and dark the tavern looked right now, and to clear the thoughts from his head, Mason began to sing.
"I've been working on the railroad, all my live long day. I've been working on the railroad just to pass the time away~"
He sang in a now more saddened and somber tone of voice. Mason just couldn't be happy right now, not with the current mood of everyone.

Once the girl had gotten into the tavern safely- at least as safe as a recently impaled girl could be- he let the door shut behind him and he meandered over to where he saw,and heard, Mason sulking a bit. "Hey you okay?" He shot Mason a worried look. Sure it was gloomy here, but Garret figured that actively sulking couldn't do any good. "I know this place is.. I mean, it's definitely dreary but try not to let it rub off on you." He pulled out his jerky and began nibbling on it once again contentedly but still watching his friend curiously.

Before her stood a wilting flower. Shimmering raindrops on its delicate petals. A tiny beauty struggling to plant its roots in this cruel world. That's what it is made to do: to grow. But what happens when that growth is hated by the world? A flower that thinks herself a weed, when really, its a way of life due to the selfishness of the ones who sought unimaginable destruction, and now children like Snow, like herself years ago, have to shoulder the burden. It's not right. It's unfair. Listening with solemn eyes, Sera watched as Snow slowly pulled herself away, detaching herself away from her. She calls herself the problem. She blames herself for everything, yet here she was, trying to divert assistance to another wounded person, running around to the others. Rooted to the floor, Sera watched. She watched the little girl run and run, struggling to be brave. As she always.

"Snow..." Sera whispered, as if calling out to her. She took a step forward, one after another, until a sudden shock of pain kicked her out of her trance. Nearly keeling over, she grasped her side, pain flaring up again due to her constant movements. She gasped for breath, tired lungs reaching out for precious oxygen. "Ugh..." The barkeep had summoned her to do a job, and even though Sera felt absolutely terrible, she pushed off, following the direction that the barkeep had pointed out.

"Me being hurt is an... understatement, but I'm with you. Let's... get her taken care of."

Tanya

Tanya led the group inside the tavern and glared at the dark haired woman she patched up earlier. "Give me that!" She snatched the bottles away from her in a split second. "You may have paid for it, but I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. And I refuse to sell you booze until your wound is good and closed. Got me?!" She glared at the woman, acting like a small child, with the intensity of a mother who'd been crossed. "I told you before, you break open your wound and I'll see to it that you won't see the next sunrise." Shaking her head with obvious irritation, Tanya went to the counter where thankfully the hooded folk had set the blue haired girl down. "Alright," Tanya set her bag down and dug through it, pulling out a pack of liquid. It was a powerful antibiotic, so long as they got about a quarter of it in her, she'd be fine. At least, that's what Tanya had come to understand from trial and error. Too much and the person had the hershey squirts for a few days, too little and the infection would kill em. It was a precarious balance and one that Tanya hated. The problem now was finding a needle and tubing to get the liquid into the girl. "You wouldn't happen to have an IV needle would you nurse?" Tanya moved to the back room and found some tubing, she'd disinfected several times now as it was the only one she had, but it was clean. To be safe though she took the last bits of the alcohol bottle she'd been using to clean it out, and then quickly dried it off with a pipe cleaner and a torn of piece of the bandages.

Khayn Powers

Khany listened to the woman rant and rave and despite it all. He just listened. Her insults were only words and that was that. Based off Nissa's words, it was likely just a defense mechanism she built up to quiet everyone down and let her keep her lone wolf status. "I'm glad you're her friend now too." He smiled, despite knowing that this woman didn't actually consider Nissa a friend, but that wasn't the point. She needed people to keep pushing at that wall and not being fazed by her thorns. He turned back into himself and walked down to notice that Tanya was taking the booze from the girl. Tanya takes on responsibilities too much.

Growing a monkey's tail he snatched one of her, less pricey, boozes from the wall and approached the dark haired girl again. "I know you don't like me or Nissa." He said calmly as he walked beside her. "But I doubt that you're a hunter. Otherwise, the One would've made SURE you died." He spoke calmly. "And even if you were, I'd still try to help you." Khayn's words were solemn as he nudged her uninjured side with the bottle of booze. "You talk, you get to drink. That's the deal." He moved the booze away from the dark haired woman as he stepped outside into the early morning sun. It seemed nobody was really around anymore, that was perfect. He turned around shaking the booze bottle before starting to walk to where he first met Nissa. It wasn't a tale he LIKED to admit, but he'd tell this girl if she opened up.

Snow
tumblr_n9yvudTWIx1t6n1tzo2_250.gif

“I love poetry…” Snow said softly, opening her eyes as she wiped the tears from her nose and cheeks. Her blood had warned her of him so he did not surprise her… but still she should be more worried. She watched his bow vanish and sat up a bit straighter, her eyes dying back down to rose pink…

“So your mask… is too protect you from your face? I can’t pretend I understand…” She sighed, knowing she must seem silly not to grasp the concept. “I don’t understand a lot… like why you’re here? Is it… to take me like the other was saying?” She leaned forward a bit, her eyes softening as her hair died down to pale blonde.

“I… if you must do it… if you think it will help keep my… the group safe… I would be willing to be vanquished as the other put it… I know I’m a monster. I understand.” She gave him a soft smile, shaky and terrified… but she was so tired of running.

Snow finally remembered how kindness was something she possessed along with all of her monstrous qualities. Her kindness was why Ryu saved her. Her fear was why he thought she was afraid of him. Her kindness was why Lucas was spared in the forest. Her selfishness was why his will was taken. Was she kind? Or selfish? Her actions confused her… But the lesson her love had taught her still pinged in the depths of her heart.

You could not blame everyone based on the actions of a few. If her actions were to be judged… Snow wished only she faced the consequences. Maybe there was a chance to atone for the sins of her past. Maybe there wasn’t… and maybe this was just a kind stranger and it wasn’t about any of it. “If for some reason you came here to just comfort me… thank you.”

Jackson was absently minding his own business when Morgan came over and asked to be dealt in. Of course, Morgan also asked the question about the group he was with. "Not usually no, but remember that we fought off a local gang. They'll be back probably. As for this game, I'm waiting for two of my friends to get back here so we can play, no offense, but I believe that at least 3 people are needed to make a card game fun." He then wondered what both Snow and Sera would think about Morgan causing him to remember that he wanted to ask a few questions. "By the way, I've been meaning to ask, how long have you lived here and how exactly does your power work apart from draining energy. After all you've seen how my power works, you got a front row seat to it.

Location: A torn apart building - Snow's location.

Character: Fifth, the naive.

Actions: By gentle words~

"A mask is worn in order to hide, I-" he took a pause as he looked at his own hand, "We wear it to not be define for what lays beneath it, but for what the mask represents. A man can be corrupted, broken but - as a symbol... then the man becomes something else entirely." he grinned, not because he found himself amuse but because he started to talk like The Second rather than his own entity - it was living present of The Warden's thoughts and ideologies that cling on their own, "Although it makes more sense when Second says it - an old man's wisdom."

It was rather complicate as to delivery express the back and forward of the mind, one that seem to has far but adapt leaving the gap achieved by the absence of a greater purpose - such is the possibility of the existence of something magical, abstract alike the soul of one self. But his thoughts went too far from the subject on hand - Snow seem ready to accept her own death.

"No. I came not to kill you and I am not good at comforting people either." as he took a moment to gather his breath, answering with a better statement, "Do you know that there is only one thing, just one-" as to make an empathizes on the one, he took his finger up as to number it correctly, "
-characteristic that separates a good person from a bad one."
he then would lower his hand as to open the possibility to ramble, "Commonly people would say 'several', good people don't need to steal, kidnap, harass, destroy and even - cease the life of someone else. But that is a lie..." he looks around him, "Of course, there are 'Heroes' that claim that they had never taken a life in order to argue that *that* makes them a better man. There are vigilantist that measure the limit further adding, I never killed an *innocent* life. So on, the limit continues to close into the gap they need to justify their decency, 'Never killed a comrade soldier' 'Never killed a family member' and on and on it goes until we become the very nature of our bare existence. A selfish animal." he ended up the statement as he folded both of his arms on his chest, letting her process the situation - "True is - everyone in some way is a killer. That happens when you live long enough in this world, or any other."

He then leaned forward, looking at her for a moment, "Do you know what makes a good person different from the others?" he stared at her for quite a time before he would so bring the answer himself, "Regret. A good man carries his mistakes as a burden - he holds it tight!" brought his hand up and closed it in a fist and then took it down to his chest, "Until it burns in your hand." his tone of voice was rather more inspiring than threatening, in order to raise her morale, "And when we fail - we always seek to make amends. So remember the words, Snow - No more. No more people will live with this pain, with this burden. Not in our watch. Are you with me?"

Vira

Tib199u.png

"You have no idea what you're talking about. I may or may not be an Abnorm... I merely hate the Hunters because they're bad people," she answered. 'I don't feel belonging anywhere..'

'Not even in the depths of the Devil's maw?'

She could hear the joking tone of Ellie. Snickering, Vira hissed jokingly, 'Now you're pushing it, silly sister.'

"Your hair is fine, silly stalker. Khayn.. the naive fool you mean. 'Blindly enraged'? 'Being stupid'?!" Vira found herself feeling offended yet again. "I am not weak! Emotional or otherwise!" Compromised... by Ellie?! BY ELLIE?! She grew instantly angry, overwriting any other emotion. Vira felt like knocking this one out as she suggested something so crazy. Vira bent down to the girl there, talking directly to her. "Ellie doesn't compromise me! She is my center! It is due to her, that I'm not ripping you all new assholes. Say 'thank you' to her." She stood back up, face contorting with confusion, "Huh?! Hey! You don't just decide that sorta thing! Augggghh! Whatever. I'm out, yo."

After all that, Vira was downstairs, staring at the new people, downing some good ol' fashioned firewater. She swayed a bit, feeling 'better' finally. Her eyes scanned the odd people there now, whom she didn't recognize. The barkeep lady came over, and snatched the bottle away from her. Vira's hackles raised, and she snapped her teeth together in a feral growl. "HEY!! No you don't! I paid for it you damn bitch!" Her words only made Vira even more furious, she ripped her sword from its scabbard, and slashed down into the counter, smashing it to pieces. She cut some of the back wall, breaking some of the shelves. "You aren't my mother!! You don't command me! I don't have to listen to a damn thing you say!" she shouted fuming. "Heh! You can certainly try something, but you won't get anywhere you think you will; I can guarantee you that! You haven't seen me at my worst. I assure you." Sword was up threateningly for a moment, before she resheathed it.

Ellie tried to fight to speak, but Vira was pushing her down. Way way down. Vira's eyes were wild, bloody red.

Still angered, Vira glanced beside her. It was that annoying man from before. She stared at the drink he held in his.. tail. "What makes you say that? ..I don't like anyone -equally. Riiight. Those assholes can't make sure of any such thing. You'd help me even if I was a murderous Hunter? Ha! That's cuz you're stupid." He nudged her, and her face got red again, but from anger. "Stop touching me. Why does no one know what respect is anymore?!" He held the booze hostage. Vira snickered, and reached over and just picked up one of the remaining bottles. "I can get my own." She noticed the sun peeking up on the horizon. Vira frowned.

When: A Future Arc
Where: ??? Fearsome Lords related

The three moved through this part of the facility that was brightly lit and cleaned to perfection, just like they had expected of the part of the facility above them. It was clear the WG was still here. This floor wasn't as expansive as the one above, but it was still maze-like. Anyway, they found a few unique rooms. One seemed to be a chapel of sorts. It seemed in disuse. There were a few rooms that appeared to be cells. On these walls were scorch marks. Claw marks. Broken and smashed in places on the walls. "Abnorms were held here," Eden said forlornly.

They found a particularly sad place. A furnace room, that didn't seem to have been used recently, but within they could see ashes. There were piles and piles of ashes around, in fact. Then in a room over, where some graves, dug into the floor. They were marked only with numbers and letters. No names. "Come on," the one guy said, hands grabbing the girl's shoulders. "Come Eden, forget it. It's in the past. Nothing can be done about it now." He saw the tears upon her cheeks, halting him. "Uhm... Okay, just.. just a few words."

The other male nodded, but stepped out.

Minutes later they were back to moving through the facility. That was when they came upon a command room of sorts. Bursting in, the staff there in the room turned, looking at the three in shock. There were maybe... 9 or 10 or so people. They were all in front of various monitors. The place was like a computer lab, except far more advanced. They all began to talk, filling the room with mindless chatter. Fearful tones were evident.

The two men glanced at each other, grinning. Together they walked in.

Minutes later everyone was completely slaughtered. Only two lived. "Where is he?!" the one was shouting, lifting up one of the WG employees by his labcoat. The white coat that was splattered with blood. He shook the man. "Tell me!! Where is Zach! Is he here?!" The other male and Eden were both looking at the various monitors, with Eden observing the big giant monitor at the front of the room. The man looked up at the face there, smirking. "What do you think Devil?!" he asked back, sputtering and coughing up blood. "So he isn't. Fuck! Then where?! Tell me!" He shook him violently. "WHERE?!"

The employee was clearly about to fall unconscious. Still grinning, he shook his head. "Is he at the North Star?! Is he?! TELL ME! Tell me dammit!" He searched the employee in his hands for any sign of an answer. Only to hear him speak. "Heh.. W-why would we keep s-someone like that at our headquarters?.."

"Urghh.. T-Tim.. sh-shhh.. D-don't tell them anymore." The only other living WG employee grumbled from where he lay on the ground nearby. "Don't give the Devils anymore hints... Urrghhh."

The male looked between the two. He grinned. "Well. No matter. We'll find him. Whether you tell us or not." He paused. "You call us devils, some would say that's appropriate.." He glanced at the girl, who turned to look at the scene. "Eden dislikes it, calls it sacrilegious. She thinks what you do is hypocrisy at the highest order. Regardless, it does seem you guys are at least religious. Or try to be. You want to know why that's a good thing?"

Tim and his fellow WG looked up, they had curious looks on their faces.

"Heh. Because you're about to meet your maker. Ironic considering we're devils, right?" He held up his hand, and the blood around drew to it. He pointed at Tim and the other, and the blood flew at them with deadly force. After they all looked carefully around the base and the monitors some more, the male commanded the other male. "Burn it down. All of it." Then moments later, three figures exited a hole in the roof, leaping into the surrounding forest and disappearing, while smoke rose from the facility.

Mason kept singing, he tried to singer lighter happier songs now, but he just couldn't.
"Sorry Garret, im just not in a good mood right now, I'll be better in a bit."
He said with a grin as he now sang a new song
"I ponder of something great, my lungs will fill and then deflate, they fill with fire, exhale desire, i know its dire, my time today~"
Sang Mason. However he overheard Vira's insulting and thats when he got angry. Anger was visable on Masons face as he stared at Vira, a look in his eyes that could only be described as Ma.
"I have these thoughts so often i ought to replace that slot with what i brought cause somebody stole my car radio and now i just sit in silence~."
He sang on while giving a dirty look to Vira.
