Fantasy The Dark Village

"Not used to what? Talking to people? If that's the case you should talk to people, some of us weird alien people are very nice." He laughed at his own joke. He had no friends.

@Wolfette157

Silas nodded thoughtfully, humming to himself. He looked back--discreetly, mind you--at his brother, who was distracted by another villager. His eyes flashed with excitement and he leaned a bit closer to Ara. "How would you like to start a proper rebellion, then, Miss?" he asked in a quiet voice, wary of eavesdroppers. Ara had shown an obvious predisposition towards witches, and it seemed that hadn't helped her much. It was likely she'd even been accused herself, seeing as she was pale as a vampire. Hiding out underground, then? No sight of sun in days.

"I'm gathering some fellow witches," he added, "in an attempt to get rid of the tyrants who are making us out to be villains and turning our friends and family against us. So, what do you say?" @BrokenLyrics

"Um, yes, I suppose. Just people I guess. Not much of a socialite." She said with a slight smile as he laughed at his own joke. She gave a nervous chuckle. It had been a while since she had actually laughed.

@Slothtastic

The small girl blinked, shoving her hair that came lose out of her face. Her eyes widened as she started, "Well.. that'd be nearly impossible.. The officials-" She cut off. Ara continued, having awful memories. "I'd love to." The thoughts made her feel whole for a moment. Wicked thoughts occured within her mind. She finally had a desire. To see the sun, to greet other people. To just be a person again.

@Trombone Geek

"Nothing's ever impossible. Not ever," Silas stated confidently. He grinned at Ara when she agreed. "So, then. You've seen that old shack near the graveyard before, yeah? Well, I know it's creepy and all, but if you meet me there a fortnight from now, when it's dark, and bring anyone willing, I do believe we can start planning," he responded. "Thank you," he added, before giving a short wave and a smile and he was off, leaving the town. Hopefully the girl he'd met would be able to find others better than he could. @BrokenLyrics

"I see! We'll just have to make ya a bit more social so you can enjoy life! You never know what day may be the last so you gotta be the best you can until the last day is upon ya! That's what I always say!" He smiled at her attempt of a joke.

@Wolfette157

"Well, I wish you the best of luck." She said with a quick and small smile. "I haven't exactly been social on my own free will for a while now." Annabella said. She looked up and realized that they had been standing in the exact same spot in the middle of a walkway for quite some time. She watched as different faces that she had never saw before traveled around her and the city.

@Slothtastic

"Oh, no! You're not holding me up at all. I didn't have anything else planned for the day. I never really do. Just the same thing every day." Annabella said. She didn't mean to make the man feel apologetic, she was just observing things she had never noticed before, as she always kept to herself. But she was also keeping an eye out for officials. She had been accused on more than one occasion of being a witch because of her family bloodline and because of her shockingly and unnatural white hair. Becoming self conscious that her hood was down, she grabbed her hood off her back and put it over her hair and smoothly pushed her white strands that had made their way up in front of her shoulders back behind her.

@Slothtastic

"What's with the hood? You bein' all sneaky like? Are ya plannin' a heist?" He faked a gasp and looked shocked. Of course it was fake as his smile re-appeared.

@Wolfette157

"My hood? Oh, it um..." Annabella paused for a minute to think of something clever to say while she let out a small smile at his fake gasp and surprise. "It's a kind of comfort thing. I like having it on." She answered, while not one hundred percent lying, but not completely answering the question either.

He obviously didn't seem to know too much, if anything at all about her previous encounters with the officials because of her looks, and she didn't want him thinking now that she was a witch. Not many people looked up to the supposed witches that ran around.

@Slothtastic

"I see! Same thin' for my coat! Almos' never take it off! It's just really comfortable!" He smiled to her. "Would ya like to come to my house for some dinner? You look like you need to eat somethin'." He concluded the statement with a nod.

@Wolfette157

It had been a long while since Annabella had had anything to eat for her meals besides bread and maybe a fruit occasionally. It was all she could afford as of lately since no one wanted to hire her. She wanted to accept the kind man's offer, but at the same time she had already had too many close encounters and questions concerning her. But who was she to turn down a meal!

"Oh yes please!" Annabella replied with a smile.

@Slothtastic

"Alrigh' follow me! I'll cook up some pork and hope I don't burn it... like the last 23 times..." He grumbled, clearly not happy about his record of burning pork. "But this time'll get it right!" He smiled again.

@Wolfette157

Annabella didn't mind burnt food, it was a step up from her usual supper, if you could even call it that. She even let out a small chuckle at his remark about his past experiences of burning pork. "Well at least you have the skill of burning it for those who like their food burnt... If there is anyone who likes that..." She said with a slight smile.

@Slothtastic

"No I'm fine! I can carry this! Thanks for askin' though!" They had finally reached almost near the end of the village a medium sized house. "This is it!" He began moving forward to the door and opening it by pushing it. "Come on in!" He beckoned her in.

@Wolfette157

"Could ya chop up the vegetables? That'd help some! When you're done just put 'em in the kettle. As much of a fire hazard as t is I kept it burning for a bit." He began unloading the groceries, pulling out some fruit, bread, pork and of course, vegetables. He took the vegetables over to the counter and put a knife beside them, then taking the meat he moved to the outside, "I'll be back when it's done, every now and then give the stew a few stirs with the spoon!" He then fully moved out, impaling the meat on a spit and beginning to rotate it every now and then. The roticery was quite short, close enough to the fire to almost touch it. He wanted to do the normal stuff by hand since it was so simple anyone should be able to. Plus practicing magic in the open wasn't a very cheerful thing.

@Wolfette157

"Okay!" Annabella shouted in reply as Bjorn walked out the door. She unlatched her cloak and removed her hood and neatly folded it over and put it next to the door. She adjusted her usual outfit of her deep red corset, skirt, and stockings and got to work. She moved over to the counter and grabbed the knife and began to quickly chop the vegetables, taking them and sliding them to the side when  necessary. She finished the chopping and slowly slid the vegetables into the kettle, careful not to splash herself. Once she put them all in the kettle she reached over and stirred the stew, making sure the stirrer reached all the way to the bottom of the pot.

@Slothtastic

Björn was sure to be careful not to burn the pork, it was close to being done, just a few more rotations. He had decided to quickly rotate it and then giving a small cut, making sure it wasn't raw. Seeing it was just fine made him pick up the impaled pork and move inside,

"Pork's done!" He announced, it didn't seem too badly burnt.

"Still a bit burnt but not as much this time!" He smiled.

@Wolfette157

"Did you go through the procedure extra carefully for me? You shouldn't have!" Annabella joked, fake flattering herself. She gave a chuckle and oddly felt slightly comfortable. She had not had this feeling in a while, even by herself.

@Slothtastic

"I don't wanna end up hurting your health because of my cookin' now do I?" He laughed, "What size o' piece do ya want? Big, small or medium?" He asked as he set it down and began setting out some food, which included bread and some fruit as well as the stew she had made.
