Fantasy The Counsel Of Shadows and the Elders of Old

There was a time when humans were the only species that ruled the earth. They populated the world and live out their days in normality. They thought they were the only things that could be in control and saw themselves on the top of the food chain. But in reality, they knew so little.

The creatures the humans would read about in stories were becoming more real. Everything they thought was fantasy walked among them in secrecy. But for how long would they stay ignorant of the war that was going on in front of them?

A war between the vampires and werewolves broke out. Creatures that once swore to stay in the shadows battled each other on human playing fields. All the creatures were split between two sides with the humans in the middle.

Humans believed they could put a stop to this but learned the hard way about how many humans were not what they said they were. Even their own government was controlled by the different creatures. In the end, there was nothing they could do.

Many died in the wars that last for years. Cities were burned and clans were destroyed. New blood took over Old. The world lived in chaos and neither side could ever win. The Elders of each species came together and signed a treaty that would unite their differences instead of work against them. A council was chosen but the Elders keep a watchful eye. Now, the world belongs to those who lived in the shadows before. The humans were given a safe haven behind the tall walls.

Everything seems peaceful for now but how long till the tension rises and the war starts again.

The question is: who will you stand with?​

Coven Ranks

Sanguine Regis (Blood Coven)

Blood witches are considered the highest ranking witches in the order. When the treaties were created, they were the first witches to come out and stand for peace. During the movements, they helped and took part in everything that they could. They were considered the royals of the witches due to their blood and their rare magic. The Blood Coven believed in the old ways of how magic should be used for helping others instead of personal gain.

Over the beginning years of the treaties, they were looked to by many different species for help but would never join the council.

Due to their high status and their power, other covens believed them to be a threat and pushed to have to disband. Other Covens did not believe in the treaties and did not want to work with them. One Coven that sought to end them was the Highmoon Coven and the Vulpes Coven. Both agreed to work together to destroy the Blood Coven and share power once they were destroyed.

The blood Coven, though powerful, was smaller than the others combined. They battled with the other Covens for years until finally the last Blood Witch was killed.

*Those who were considered the highest in their Coven had more than one power. Only a few had the ability to give and take life. The few with those powers disappeared before the war was over and are believed to be dead*

High Moon Coven

The High Moon Coven is now considered the High Ranking Coven due to the ending of the Blood Coven. The High Moon witches worked together with the Vulpes Coven to take them down and now share power with them. The High Moon Coven got their name after they were the first to learn Manipulation Magic over the werewolves. Several packs of werewolves now work for the High Moon Coven and do their dirty work. The High Moon Coven acts like they hate dark magic when in reality, that is their main form of magic. They soon plan on taking down the Vulpes Coven in order to gain the highest rank and tension between the two Covens are high.

Vulpes Coven (Fox Coven)

The Vulpes Coven was formed around the same time of the High Moon Coven. They were considered neutral and did not believe in getting in the middle of others problems. They stay to themselves and protect their own. When High Moon Coven asked to work together, the High Priestess agreed due to dark magic in her soul. This caused a split in the Coven and the Vulpes lost their numbers.

After the war, they threw out the High Priestess and went back into the shadows in order to stay out of others ways. They do not trust the High Moon Coven and know that they are trying to destroy them.

North Coven/South Coven/East Coven/West Coven

These Covens are scattered throughout the land. They consist of different witches who do not wish to be a part of larger Covens or are not considered powerful enough to join them.

They basically take care of themselves and stay together in cities. They are usually hired for minor magic by others.
