Futuristic The Codes of Humanity

Shura sighed to himself, looking away from her. He'd prefer not to see her reaction. Might as well get this over with. I may need to find more shelter after I tell her, he thought. "I am one of the Forbidden Codes," he paused here, not daring to turn back to see her expression, "Code Asura." He chose not to ask her of her Code. She probably wouldn't want to tell him anyway. He was fully expecting some terrified shriek or scathing remark.

Her eyes softened, relieved that she was not the only one who had worried to begin with. Wait.. She looked away for a moment pursing her lips as she contemplated her thought. Why was she so calmed by the news of him, let along cofortable with his presence. "Then once again..." She paused for a moment before inching her eyes up to him face, letting her blond hair shield her eyes enough to where he wouldnt be able to look at her fully. "Its a pleasure to meet you Code Asura, I am Forbidden Code Hecate"

Shura whipped his head around, surprised that the frail looking woman in front of him could be a Code as fear inspiring as he. He did not wish to insult her, but he did not expect this in the least. Forbidden Codes were known as fearsome killers, war enders, those who could end a battle before it even began. He, himself tended to be called upon most when a power strong enough to wipe out whole cities were needed - and that's what he would do. She was as strong as he? He found it hard to believe, but Codes had no reason to lie to one another and he could see she was telling the truth. With that in mind, his eyes softened once more, still unable to muster a smile. "No," he deadpans, "I believe the pleasure is mine."

His reaction was quite amusing, but at the same time she couldnt help but get annoyed. Yes, she was small in size, frail looking and shy but when it was needed she had no issue with going all out. This was how she was though, shy and secluded. "You flatter me.." Dropping her gaze she moved away walking back to look out the window. What a turn of events...

Shura lifted a brow. He ad flattered her? He didn't realize he'd said anything so nice. He did not mind though; it was better than being screamed at in fear or yelled at in hatred. If it was like this, he no longer minded where they went. At the very least, she would certainly make a pleasant travel partner.

She seemed to have run into an interesting companion, whether he actually decided to stay was something she was curious to find out. She already knew that most Codes never got along, It was one of the reasons as to why they avoided one another. "Is there a place you wish to head to..?" Her mind was focused on the coming day, deciding what would be the best plan is the first priority.

Shura thought about it. He wasn't sure where he would truly like to go. As long as I can live relatively normal, it should be fine, he thought. Still, there was one thing he always wished to see. Well, it wasn't a thing really, nor was it singular. It was plural; it was home - his family. He'd worked hard to find out their names and where they lived. He figured, even if they rejected him in the harshest of ways, even if they let the authorities know he'd contacted them... he wanted to meet his family. "I would like to see my family. After that, I do not know. Just go somewhere to live in peace I suppose - well," he sighed, "as peaceful as the life of a Code can be, that is."

"Family..." That thought had never crossed her mind, nor woul she ever consider it anyways. Demi watched him quietly for a little while, watching his facial expressions to get a feel of his thoughts. "Then that is where you should go" She gave a smile, twirling away as she glided towards back wall laying down.

Where I should go? he thought, and what of you? Though he knew of her strength, he worried for her. That was just how he was. He also figured it would be rare if he ever saw another Code again, especially one so friendly. There were so many humans and only 20 of them, maybe even less after the crash. He did not wish to lose a companion. He could look for his family later, when they - she was situated and comfortable. Until then, he would follow her. Shura then wondered on his decision, curious as to why he would go so far for someone he only met recently, even if they did share many similarities. "I shall go with you," he replied, deciding that his reasons did not matter, "there are strength in numbers, and right now, that is what we need. I can find my family later."

Eyes locking on him she bit her lip, why was he so friendly to her, Didn't he want to find his family again? She wanted him to look for his family, the only reason she had said only him was out of respect for his privacy. It was not her business, but for some reason when it came to him she couldn't help but try to get close. "Your family is what is important."

Damien looks around wondering if this abandoned building is really safe. He yells. "Hello!? Anyone in here!? He picks up a pipe and starts tapping on the ground and walls. "Anyone!?" He stops and looks towards the window out at the city, then to the sky. "A shame the city lights are blocking the view of the stars." He smashes the window and tosses the poll down to the floor, his expression never once changing from the calm look on his face. "I suppose here is a good place." He sits down, the moonlight shining down on him in the dark building as he starts taking out items from his bag. He carefully placed all the bills in a wallet he stole off one of the dead staff members of the complex and wrapped it in the hairband of one of the dead female codes. "Only $50'000." He sighs. "I was hoping it would be more." He shrugs. "Well take what you can get." He places the wallet down beside him as he reaches in the bag for his clothes. "He stands and gets undressed. "I don't wanna work so i think i'll become a bank robber." He smirks at the idea as he steps out of his pants and begins to put on his muscle shirt.

Shura shook his head, though he did agree. His family was, in fact, important. "I know they are, but you are as well," he replied, holding her gaze, "I have time to search for my family, but you are here now. What are the odds of us meeting more Codes? We'd be lucky if even two to three of us happened to land in this city. Even then, finding them would be hard. Some might be dead as well, though we have only just met, we are comrades. I have no intention of just leaving you. Who knows when I'd meet another Code? and one so friendly? It is unlikely." He was about to say more when He heard Damien's call. It seems that the person they knew to be in the building with them was at the very least, not a shade. Now they only had to confirm whether or not he would be a hostile.

Elsewhere, far from the city Shura was in, Sturs, one of the five Shadowlords smiled as he sipped on some wine. He was currently in a bar, human women flocking to him. He found them to be intriguing things to play with before he killed them, though right now he was getting slightly annoyed. They would not let him think, and he did have oh so much to contemplate. Their plan to destroy the Code Complex and sew even more seeds of doubt and mistrust within the humans had worked beautifully. If any Codes had survived, the humans would unwittingly help locate them and once the Shaodwlords had killed them all, the human race would be finished. Sturs snickered darkly at their brilliance, his sudden change in demeanor frightening some of the women - not that he cared. Sturs had grown bored of them, and of his wine. Standing to his feet, he made for the doors as the unprepared citizens began to explode behind him, they're blood flying from every pore of their bodies, spattering the walls red. It was as if something inside them wanting nothing more than to be freed from their fleshy coverings. None of them had even had the time to understand what was going on before they're death. Near each body seemed to lay balls of metal - iron.

"If that is what you want, then I will respect your wishes" Her gaze moved on to down the hall, Sounds of the breaking glass as whoever was across the hall was destroying the property. "He is going to bring suspicion to this building" This man was obviously not a Shade, his words when he called out were enough to prove it. slight shivers ran down her spine as she turned to look out the window, something felt off as the night grew on, though she could not put her finger on what it was.

Shura nodded. Whoever was in here with them would probably cause trouble. There were few options for them. Wait it out and hope he quiets down, risking discovery; confronting him which would most likely end in his death, or leaving the building all together so they did not chance it.

Giving a small shrug, Demi walked in a skip like manor making her way back towards the side where they had come in from. "Lets give it a little while okay?" She didnt want to cause any problems, so if that meant waiting just a little while to see if it would stop would be fine. Demi scanned the room before stopping back on Shura.

Shura nodded and watched her as she looked around until she stopped on him. He raised a brow. "Yes?" he asked.

Sturs appeared back in his own dimension, his little trip to the human world having sated his bloodlust for the moment. He was hoping some of his brethren were around. They probably needed to discuss further action soon.

Demo shook her head a bit and yawned, she needed to sleep soon or she would end up getting grumpy. "Nothing, just thinking" Closing her eyes she moved to rest her head against the cool class window, looking out at the quiet street.

Bouncing energetically down the hall, Fureha moved towards the outer limits, in hopes that she would come across her comrade. "Sturs!" a slight giggle in her voice she moved to pounce, Red hair flowing around her face. "Did you have fun? What is it like over there now that the code complex is destroyed? How many died?" She rambled on quickly, she had always been the most child like of the group. Hyper with the tendency to pout when she didnt get her way, Although when she didn't it usually ended with utter chaos on her part. Shadows twisted along the walls, following her movements adding on to the eerie atmosphere around her.

Shura nodded and sat down once more. He looked at Demi and noted that she looked rather tired. They would probably have a long day ahead of them tomorrow, so he figured, she should probably get some rest. "You should sleep. Tomorrow probably won't be short by any means."

Sturs smiled at his companion, she always was very energetic and he liked that. "I did. I killed some humans while I was out; it was pleasing. As for the state of Earth, they are in confusion, the humans are like chickens running around with no heads no idea what to do and blaming the Codes for their own homes destruction. It is fairly amusing. As for how many of our mortal enemies died, I do not know. They were scattered in the explosion. Besides, if none lived, the mass genocide of the human race would be far too boring, don't you agree?"

Demi nodded before closing her eyes, not too confident in being able to have a decent sleep she would attempt to try. "You should know.." Stopping in mid sentence Demi fell into a deep sleep.

Eyes glowing at his words, Fureha giggled with delight. Hearing that her friend had added to the count of deaths was amusing, she loved inflicting pain onto others it was her favorite and most cherished thing in the world. "You know.. you should try torture before you kill" Licking her lips as she turned to continue down the hall in the direction he had been walking she smiled "It is so much fun" In her case, any form of pain was fun, even if it was herself the pain was happening to she found it...arousing.

Shura wondered what she was about to say, his eyes softened once more, nonetheless once she fell asleep. He was happy that she could get some rest. He resolved to keep watch until she awoke. Nothing would happen to his comrade.

"I do not mind it, but I find I usually have places to go. There is always much to be done. Tis not often I find time to torture. Besides, I do not dislike quick kills. Either is fine with me, really," he stated, "have you seen any of the others?" He was really hoping they could all get together and discuss their next course of action. At the very least, he hoped to find Bether sometime soon. He wanted to ask a favor of him.

Demi slept quietly, she wasnt the type to normally sleep knowing that someone was around. Darkness filled her dreams not that she was worried about it, after spending her early years not being able to see she found it rather soothing. People will scatter.. Her dreams caused her to stir.

"Im not sure where anyone is, They seem to be doing their own thing" Giving a small pout she sighed, dancing through the shadows that moved around her as they walked. Nobody seemed to like torture as much as she did, It made her a little depressed. If they wouldnt do it she had no problem having all the fun on her own. She would have to go for a visit soon.

Shura occupied his time with thinking about his family while she was asleep. Apparently he had siblings. An older sister and a little brother. He hoped to meet them at some point. Hopefully sooner than later - and most of all he hoped they did not hate him for things outside his control.

"That is to bad, I had a favor to ask of Bether," he replies, "Well then. What shall we do now?"

"It is, but I'm sure if you look around enough you will find them. Oh!" Her eyes lit up again as she played with a strand of her hair, tugging at it enough to cause it to curl. "I made new sweets you will have to try some of them, I promise they wont explode this time" Her voice turned innocent, like a child doing her best to act like an angel. Fureha was a devil, staying hidden behind her innocent personality it was only those closest to her that realized it.

He kneels down to his bags now fully dressed, he begins to pull out other items. He pulls out an mp3 and looks at it. "He presses the play button and grins as rock music begins to play, the music bouncing off the walls amplifying the sound. He nods his head as he sings along to the song while sorting through and re counting his money. "Oh baby! Just bring me! The bloood of the inn-o-cent! I'm crazy! Oh baby!" He looks at his money and grins as he tosses it in the air, letting it fall around him. "Hell yeah!" He chuckles to himself and kicks out another window as the guitar solo in the song starts going. "Wooooo!" He spins around and laughs before falling down into his pile of money.

Shura hears the voice from early continue to scream. He did not think it would be stopping any time soon. He wondered what kind of person comes to a place like this just to raise his voice and yell.

"Sure, I'll try some," agreed Sturs. It didn't really matter if they blew up. He would just regenerate. That was probably the reason he never got mad at her for trying to injure him.
