Fantasy The City Of Wolves

"I'm not a idiot Kelsey," I yelled at him. I ran over to Kendall. "Take deep breaths, and use your mind to ease the pain. Kelsey go and grab some water, and splash it on her forehead. This was same thing happening to that pup last week, remember Kelsey?"

Kelsey nodded handing Kendall to him." Take care of her or your throat will meet my teeth." Getting up he ran to get some cold water. As quick as he could he ran back and took Kendall back into his arms. Gently he began splashing water on her face hoping to ease her pain.

The thick charcoal fur sprouted, the fabric of his clothing was torn and ripped apart in a snap as he morphed into his canine form, the white color leaked into the whiskey colored iris and overtook it. He grunted, snorting steam and snot through his flaring nostrils as he padded along the forest flora, his unnaturally long claws tearing up the damp earth as he did. The brute was slightly oversized, but his body meshed perfectly with the shadows and masked his powerful movements as he headed towards the City.

To be honest Kelsey was the best thing for Kendall, I did sorta broke her heart an hour ago. "Do you smell that Kelsey, it smells of fox," I grinned. I used wolf telepathy. I'll deal with them, just keep her safe! I quickly exited the room, and found the fox, I was already in wolf form.

His skull bobbed up and down, trotting lightly through the higher grass before descending down into a small ravine where a creek zigzagged it's way through the rocks. Rowtag stopped and just sat down, slightly winded by the journey up and over the hills, he definitely wasn't getting any younger. He was breathing out soft pants before lowering his front portion of his body to lap up the icy water.

Kendall groaned in pain. "Stupid....pain." She whispered. "I wish it could just disappear." Slowly opening her eyes, she glanced up at Kelsey. "Tell me one of your favorite memories." A light breeze flew in from the open window. The cool air and water felt good against Kendall's warm face.

Kelsey hummed thinking as one of his hands began to idly run through Kendall's hair. A smile fluttered across his face as a memory came to mind." One of my most favorite memory is the day we pranked the royal guards."

Kendall giggled softly. "Oh yeah, the day we got into so much trouble. Everyone called us the trouble duo." Mindlessly, she grabbed Kelsey's other hand and held it. Her mind filled with memories of that day causing her to laugh.

Kelsey giggled griping her hand tightly."Remember the look on their faces when they saw their pink hair and green skin. That was hilerious."

The image popped in her mind as she laughed even more. Before Kendall could say anymore, the alarm around the city went off. Ignoring the pain, Kendall pushed herself off the floor and over to the window that overlooked the city. The people were scrambling towards their homes. Shops were locking up. Guards were bursting out of the barracks. "What's going on??" Then a guard came to the door. "Princess, Sir. There's been a break in at one of the city walls. You must get to safety." Kendall looked over at the guard. "Why wasn't there anyone watching the walls?!" But the pain came even stronger again.

"Kendall don't over strain yourself." Kelsey chided walking over he lifted her in his arms bridal style. She looked like she was about to fall down at any second. Turning toward the guard he addressed him." Lead us to safety. Afterwards inform us of the reason no one was watching the wall. Such a idiotic action shall not go unpunished."

The guard nods as he turns and leads them to the safe room, built for the princess. "Here you go Sir.... Princess....The reason the wall wasn't guarded was because we were told not to for the day." Kendall frowned. "Told by who?" "One of the royal Elder guards." Kendall's eyes widen. After that, the guard left. "Kels.... what do we do? I don't know about you but I really don't want to stay here doing nothing when....." Kendall kept rambling on and on.

"Kendall." Kelsey inturrepted glaring at her."I wish we could do something I do. I hate being locked up when the ones I loved are being threatened but I'm afraid we can't. Your in to much pain to be of any help and someone needs to guard you. Something bad is going on here. I'm afraid we just need to let Andrew and the others handle it."

She nodded. "Yeah, I suppose that's all we can do." Kendall looked down at her hands and suddenly thought they were interesting. "But Kelsey... what ever or who ever broke in finds us, what will happen?" She asked afraid to look up at him thinking he's still glaring at her. Yeah, she knew Kelsey was a strong fighter but she wouldn't be able to handle it if he got hurt because of her. Then she noticed the bracelet on her wrist that Kels made her several years ago and slightly played with it.

Kelsey's glare softened as he saw her action and he released a heavy sigh. Sitting down he leant against the wall and set Kendall in his lap. Idly he began playing with her hair." If anyone tries to hurt you I will protect you. It is my job after all. Even more important is that you are my friend I even think of you like my sister. I will protect you because I care about you. I will protect you because I would rather die protecting you than live knowing you were harmed because I wasn't strong anough or did something wrong. I will protect you because you at my sister and I will kill any who hurt you."

"I'm glad I still have you Kels." She said as she laid her head against his chest. Kels was like an older brother to her. Without realizing it, Kendall got lost in her thoughts. She got so lost that she didn't hear Kels or anyone around her. Her hand was still playing with the bracelet as she thought about Andrew, the Elders, her inner she-wolf and several other things. But then she felt a presence in her mind. A very heavy one at that.

"Your always have me." Kelsey whispered staring down at her gently. Closing his eyes he leaned his head back against the wall. He was tired but didn't show it. So much has happened today.

Edgar took a deep sigh he wasn't big on problems and this seemed like chaos in the making he moved through the horde of people scrambling to there home. He was unaware of the breach in the boarder but he wasn't worried, he put a stern look well more stern than usual, he walked over to a guard trying to gain some entail on what has breached the wall "Sir what exactly breached the wall?" he said to the guard.

As I approached the fox, he mentally told me, Our Prince, has yet another message for your princessss, since now the legend came true, an elder will die in the next twenty minutes, I couldn't believe what I was just told. I ran back to the room where Kendall and Kelsey lay there. "Kelsey, the fox told me that one of the elders will die in twenty minutes."

"No we must go to them," I said as I started to walk out the door. "Well aren't the two of you coming, we must save the elder!" I quickly changed form, and ran as quick as lightning.

Getting up Kelsey sat Kendall on the floor before transforming. Turning he looked her in the eye.Climb on my back. You are to weak to waste energy running.

Pushing herself up to her knees, Kendall pulled herself up onto Kelsey's back. Her hands gripped his soft fur as she laid her cheek against the back of his neck. "Remember giving me rides when we were 10 years old?" She smiled closing her eyes remembering.

As we got to the elders corridor, I heard a faint scream. So quickly broke down the doors. There I saw a fox, literally biting into the elders neck. So I quickly took some action, and ripped it from their neck, and killed the damn beast. I morphed back into human. "Are you okay my elder?" I asked as he got to his feet.
