The Fabulous Emerald
It's never illogical to be fabulous
Most people would've noticed Crystal's lethargic movement, but not Yitah. Despite his age and wisdom, he still didn't really understand some of the more obscure human traits, like lethargy, and besides, he still tasted something different about Crystal. Something not quite human. Yitah's eyes, however, suddenly widen as he just remembers something important. "Oh! My apologies, but in my haste for excitement I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Yitah. I am a Yuan-Ti." He explains his race almost as if he was ashamed of it, and to some extent he was, and he hoped that his naturally evil and hostile upbringing didn't hold any ground on what people though of him today - humans, however, seemed to be fairly quick to judge someone. A shame, really.
As he introduces himself he extends a gloved hand, shifting a knife to the side in the process. The knife, at second glance, did not seem to be something that a refined businessman would own. It appeared to be made of finely chiselled stone, with a strong looking vine wrapped around it as the hilt. Something that a savage would wield, perhaps? At even closer glances, Crystal would notice what seems to be channels cut into the blade itself - stained with a crusty green substance. Perhaps something flowed in those channels, long ago.
