Fantasy The City of Myths

Crystal
Meeting her blue-purple orbs with Yitah's now purple ones. As soon as she did there was a mysterious force that seemed to draw her in, unable to pull away. Or even think clearly. At the sound of the Yuan-Ti's voice she quietly repeated what he told her, "Cool.. down...." It took a moment or so for the thought to implant on Crystal's unconscious mind.

Soon enough though, waves of cold air began to flow off of the young woman. In the matter of minutes her skin once again gained that icy feeling to it. Her eyes held a light purple glow to them the more she stared at the serpent. The dragon was basically a mindless slave at this point.

Sage
"I don't care, you need to rest for a bit. I don't want you reopening the wound on your chest and such. Gluing your normal skin back to the meeting point with your metal skin was really tedious work you know." Sage huffed rather childishly as she looked at him, eyes narrowed and bandaged arms crossed. Still planted in the chair at his bedside. The mage rested her crossed arms back on the edge of the bed, chin resting one. It stung a bit due to the cuts, but it wasn't the worst pain that she's felt.

Though as Fallix questioned her about the being from earlier she looked at him, mauve orbs still narrowed. "I don't know, she had casted an invisibility on herself and was only here for a split moment. But it felt like kitsune or your magic..." But when she realized something her head shot up from her arms and she glared at Fox, "Hey! You know I saved your life to you know! Who do you think brought you here in the first place?! I came in a bloody fool begging for help! Even got that chip it your head repaired by someone so that hopefully you had a fighting chance!"

Hearing the beast then question about the discharge papers the childish Sage huffed again as she glanced away, "How should I know? I'm not a doctor." When her dull purple eyes moved to look at the foxkin again she stood up, slipping her hands into the pockets on her shorts. A sigh escaped her as she turned her back to him so that she was facing the room door, "I'm going to go see what they have downstairs to eat. Want anything while I'm there? You've got to be hungry or thirsty at least."

YITAH

Hmm. It had worked a bit stronger than the Yuan-Ti expected - although, it had been a while since he Suggested something. This wasn't a Suggestion, though - it seemed to act a bit more like full on mind control. Oh well, it got the job done.

Satisfied about her falling temperature, however, Yitah ended the spell returning Crystal to her own thoughts. Morosely, he stared off down the street. He had sworn to himself that he'd never use his natural psionic abilities on beings never again, but he knew that Crystal could've been seriously injured - or worse - otherwise.

At this point, the bodies from the horrific event were beginning to be carried away in body bags, and the investigation was dying down. Whether they had gotten all of the information they needed, or only got what they could find Yitah did not know, but he would be glad to be rid of the whole thing. Something, however, told him that this case would never be solved. Sighing, he tilted his head back towards Crystal still not looking her in the eyes. "Are you...are you alright?"

FOX

Fox sighed as Sage told him he needed rest. Not even considering the fact of how he was going to rest easily tied to a hospital bed, Fox felt like he didn't need rest. He wanted to help out the police and find out what caused the shrill scream and the earthquake - something he couldn't do from where he was. He noticed the cuts on her arms, but decided not to ask. After all, it was probably his fault anyways.

As she answered his question, however, he got to thinking. "A...kitsune? As in, the fox people? The ancestors of foxkin, like myself?" He paused for a moment before continuing. "What do you - " That is, he continued until he was suddenly interrupted by Sage. "Oh, you saved me? My hero! How could I ever repay you?" Chuckling to himself for a second, Fox's eyes lit up. It appeared that his humour was still there.

As she got up to leave, Fox's ears involuntarily twitched in excitement. He was starving, and this was perfect. Still, despite his ears, he remained calm. "Oh yes please. Not bothered what, really - as long as it isn't rabbit. And a drink would be good, too, thanks." Sighing, Fox realized - or, at least, he thought he realized - that he had upset Sage. "Sage?" He called before she left to the cafeteria. "Thank you."
