In the not so distant future, a meteor struck Earth. This meteor strike, dubbed 'The Event', luckily took place in the middle of the ocean and was not large enough to cause major floods. However, this meteor did bring with it something that would change the lives of many. 1 in 10000odd people's genetic makeup was swept up totally, causing them to become something superhuman. They gained a Class Tattoo and became Chosen.
These people would be dubbed 'Chosen'. Their ability is to 'Class'. This ability is named after a system of describing a person's vocation often used in RPG games. When a Chosen Classes, their clothing and equipment changes to whatever their Class would wear. Their Tattoo would radiate energy that made all this possible. Some unusual classes would even change the Chosen's body or appearance. Some examples would be Berserker, Warrior, Herbalist, Lycanthrope, ...
Chosen are destined to come into contact with each other. A Chosen will always be aware of other Chosen, no matter the circumstance. Chosen are destined for conflict, for drama, for loneliness. At least, that's what you would think. Lately, an insurgency of Chosen communities has sprung up, with even schools especially built for Chosen being constructed.
You are one of the Chosen, shunned by their peers who chose to move to a closed Chosen Student home called 'Shambling Falls'. Here you meet your peers. You'll all tend classes here as well. You'll find that this isn't that much different from college... At least you hope that it won't be.
