Fantasy The Calm After War (Always Open and Accepting)

Selra tried to communicate to the voice hoping it could hear her. "Uh Miss can I ask your appearance. And what is your name. I figure it's best I get to know my Future possible teachers friends. By the way my names Selra."

Ari got in the mount while continuing the conversation with Selra. He had to think about what she said and get a general angle of where to start. "So this magic you're speaking of, you have it but you need help controlling it? Perfect, so I don't have to teach you much. What I'll need to see is your strongest spell and your strongest single strike with your sword. As much physical and Magic strength as you can possibly muster in one move." Since Ari and Avery were Psions now, so seeing how she did this would let them gauge how her mental abilities worked and if that contributed to any side effects she would experience.

"Whenever you are ready, we can get the party started. I want you sent back to start your revolution ASAP." Ari said, looking at her. Selra seemed fairly determined, so he hoped she wouldn't half-ass her attempts at doing things, no matter how he made her train. Dark Magic was no joke, not for the faint of heart and especially not the faint of body.

"On what or whom? I mean Noam mentioned I had to pass a test. Or is this the test. You must have put some form of target that I must hunt or strike. No wait there is a criminal who has wronged you and to prove my worth I must slay him or her." Selra was clueless to mage training and truth be told had no idea what he meant by hit something. Was it just fire away at some target or did he have a job for her?

Before Bailey could reply to Arabelle, the elf who was previously talking addressed her. "Ah, I assume you're the help. I normally don't address people like you, but this is a special situation. Please get the Weasmor luggage for lady Del'Lanis, and join Miss Addar."

"Councilmen, that is Arabelle Weasmor, formally known as Arabelle Leighton. Or better know as the Hero," Bailey said with a clenched jaw. She couldn't allow herself to explode on them, but her eyes were blazing.

"Ah. Miss Weasmor, I must apologize, your appearance....it was not expected. From what Lady Del'Lanis has told us, the Weasmor's are wrealthy, I assumed you would have dressed like it." His "apology" was contradicted with a sneer and arrogant tone.

"I would like for you to keep your options to yourself from now on," Bailey growled.

"Milady, you are hardly in a position to make demands like this. Remember, you are new, your position is not secured by trust."

"Let me rephrase. Keep your comments to yourself, or it's not guaranteed that you will keep your head. Air won't lay a hand on you for now because of your political importance, but I have more power than you." Her words held that kind of anger you only feel maybe once or twice in your entire life. The councilman frowned, but nodded.

"Of course Milady. Whatever you wish."

Turning to Arabelle, she gave her a soft smile. "Ignore them. They don't have manners." From behind her, the stuffy elves glared at Bailey.

"Milady, is this everyone?"

"You knowing not. We'll wait a few more minutes, my husband is late."

Arabelle was confused at first when the councilman began to speak to her and then it made sense when he called her a slave. She bit her lip and looked down, letting Bailey handle everything. She took a deep breath and raised her head, forcing a smile when Bailey told her to ignore it. “It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” she said quietly, and walked over to her husband’s side. She took Ari’s hand to stop her own from shaking, and she held Ryan in her arms, Quinn on her back, and Willow clung to her skirt. She took a couple more breaths to stop herself from crying.

Normally Ari would have to stay his hand because of his new magic. He wanted to test it though and he just got a legitimate reason to. "Apologies in advance, Bailey." Ari walked over to the councilman. The elf started floating in the air, holding his throat. The aura was now blazing red and Ari was Force Choking him. "My wife is free to wear whatever she damn well please, regardless of my wealth. Unlike you nobles, I have nothing to prove and the free will of the women in my life actually mean something." The grip tightened heavily, almost to the point where his neck would be crushed. "I promised Bailey that I won't lay a hand on you. I don't NEED a hand to snap your disrespectful neck. You're gonna shut your trap and listen to your High Prophetess and you won't report what's happening now, or I'll make your life a living hell before I end it. If you know me as well as you think you do, you'll know that I don't bluff." Ari kept choking him. He should probably be stopped before the Elf's throat was crushed.

Ari didn't stop force choking the elf when he looked at Selra. Despite the situation at hand, he smiled politely to Selra. "Nope. That's a test I reserve to someone who wants to work with me in arms. Without control of Dark Magic, you can't possibly go 5 minutes against me. I can use one minute though. Ari drew his sword. It was obvious that he learned fast and listened well. "You can use any method you want. I'll use only what I'm learning from Avery."

Quinn felt the pain Arabelle felt at the words of the elf and watched Ari's response, obtaining a greater respect for the man. Guess he wasn't all that bad after all. Quinn's eyes began glowing. Tendrils of darkness emerged from the shadows of the other two elves. The tendrils wrapped themselves around them but didn't tear the elves to pieces just yet. "Mama?" Quinn asked, wanting permission before they turn the scene into a horror show. The looked at Arabelle, waiting for her response. Which they wished would be an okay.

Arabelle put her hand on Ari’s shoulder. “Let him go, Ari. Please. It’s not that big a deal, just let him go and we can move on and it will be fine,” she said softly, looking up at him worriedly. She knew he was only doing this because he loved her, but it made her anxious.

"Ari, that's enough. Unfortunately, the court needs him. The other two can't talk," Bailey said, her voice rather calm despite the situation. "You too Quinn, enough." She hated the thought of actually letting them live, but again, political importance. "Listen up councilmen, you'll do as Ari says. Far as in concerned, he's got more of my respect than any of you have. Surprising since we hate each other, but that's besides the point. You will not repeat this little...incident, or your careers will be terminated." She said this with a smile, "You know I have the Queen on my side, and Arabelle is one of her hero's." The councilmen, terrified, but not beyond reason at this point.

"O-Of course milady!" He managed, "It won't happen again, please forgive us!"

They purred as Arabelle gave them affection. Quinn then happily obeyed, enjoying Bailey's directness. Their eyes stopped glowing and the tendrils went back into the shadows. "Why are we going with the elves?" They asked Arabelle. Quinn never actually figured out why all of this was going on. And never bothered to ask oddly enough. "Will there be food? Oh! Will there be a fountain? I like those. Does the crossdresser have to come with us? He smells funny. What kind of food will there be? Are there kids? How small are they?" The questions flooded Arabelle's mind.

Arabelle chuckled and hugged Quinn gently. “We have to go with them to get into the city where Bailey works, there should be food, there might be a fountain, unfortunately he does have to come, I don’t knew what kind of food, and there probably won’t be kids other than mine and Bailey’s.”

"Right," Ari said as he let the elf fall and start retching and gasping for air. "I promised to stay my hand. I'll include my magic hands as well." He stood over the elf, blade out and pointed at his throat. "Watch yourself Councilman. I'm the only one allowed to disrespect Bailey and NO ONE disrespects my wife. You'll answer to me otherwise. I won't kill you, but that's unfortunate for you."

Suddenly, a large hand landed on Ari's shoulder. It was Tyr. And he looked rather cross at the statement he made about his wife.
"Now, that statement about disrespecting my wife was purely hypothetical, wasn't it? Because if not, I think we might have a problem."

These were specially made for me as the husband to the high prophet."

Bailey just had to chuckle at the exchange between Ari and Tyr. "Sorry boys, but we have to go now. This is everyone using the portal, and Herah is escorting our luggage to the capital." She looked to the councilmen, "Open the portal, or whatever it is," Bailey told them. The had recovered from Ari and Quinn's outburst, and just nodded. "I hope y'all are ready, Queen Anora is...excitable. Part of that has to do with the fact she's only 16, but she's a big fan of ours."

From nearby, a golden portal began to form, until it was big enough for everyone to go through. Alex went first, then the twins followed. "Come on, we don't have all day." Bailey was next, followed by the talking councilman who wasn't helping with the portal. Besides talkin fro his brothers, he served no real purpose. Anyway, on the other side of the portal as the throne room.

A large, mostly marble room with windows all along one side for a wonderful view of the mountains. Lookin around, Bailey ran a hand through her hair, still suffering from a bit of bedhead. The two thrones were empty, "Wonder where she is," Bailey muttered, before she stepped out of the way of the portal for the others to come through.

"I prefer wood elves a little more. Not as good looking but in the end they are good and I mean good hunters. My second in command has lived in the forest and has missed her target. The party named her Natures assasin due to her efficiency. But should we follow Mrs. Bailey. Surely we should stick to the high prophet." Selra had a solid idea of Elves. She was a stranger and a human. Extremely nasty combination according to Saia. Bless that wood elf.

He would walk into the throne room just as the others where walking through the portal. Has hand moving towards his spear for a split second before freezing as he recognized the family in front of him. Quickly standing to attention as his cloak settled down around him. Indicating he may have started running before being inside the room, his eyes glowing slightly as he jerks to a bow and to standing to attention. Uncertain of which one he should be doing. Before deciding on doing a quickly bow over an arm and then standing at attention. "L...Lady...O'Conner...Welcome to the castle." He would stutter out. Looking at the thrones with a slight look of annoyance before returning his gaze to Bailey. "H...Have you seen the Queen at all?" He questions. His mouth twitching as he seems about to continue speaking before deciding against it.

Ari felt the silk. Royal fibers that he'd never came in contact with before, even even on assassinations. This must be reserved for the royal family alone. "This is the first time I've ever been jealous of you, Tyr. I want to wrap Arabelle in this stuff." He stepped through the portal and came out in the throne room. "They better not give me throwaway fibers or I'm gonna be pissed."
Avery, Willow, and Chloe followed behind Ari, making them all look like a group with Ari in the lead. Avery, however started trying to hug Ari, citing teleportation sickness as the reason so should pick him up to the obvious no avail. He did, however, pick up Chloe.

Arabelle chose to ignore Avery and took Ari’s arm. She kissed his cheek and looked around, in awe. “Ari, this place is beautiful,” she murmured softly. “I forgot how…vibrant, the world is. So many colors and textures,” she said, smiling. She hadn’t seen the world for seven years, she had almost forgotten what it looked like. She just made patterns in her head so she knew where to go, but color, texture, that was all gone.

He would watch the servant walk over to the group. Raising an eyebrow as he was still standing at the room's entrance for a moment. Glaring as he noted that she didn't bow. Taking out his spear as he taps the ground. "Excuse me miss....May you come with me?" He questions. A bit of a glare on his face as his mouth twitched slightly. The floor causing a slight echo as the iron shaft of the spear made contact with it.

Alexandra ended her spell, turning her attention to the male who had pulled his weapon. Acting a bit startled by actions she stammered over her words “Y-Yes sir? I haven’t offended you have I?” Holding the tray closer to her chest as she stepped over to him, keeping her gaze towards the ground to avoid eye contact. “I’m new, but if you must punish me I only ask that you aren’t too harsh...” her tone of voice was lighter and even sounded a bit shaken up.

He simply kept the glare for a few moments. Making sure she was done speaking before continuing on. "You did fail to show respect." He would say with a mostly even tone. Though the way he spoke gave away some of his...Inexperience. As his weapon wasn't quite ready to be used anymore as it leaned slightly away from him.

She didn't want to be rude, but still. That's when she noticed the servant woman. She had to cold her eyebrow, but the councilman could handle himself.

"Oh no, I'm fine," The man said, waving the succubus off. Being asexual had it's advantages. She would have to try with someone else. Anyway, no that everyone was through the portal, the two other councilmen stepped through, the portal closing.

"Alright, I'd like for everyone to-" Bailey started, before someone shouted.

"Incomming!" It was another male voice, which caused Bailey to smile. Because for one, it was her brothers voice. And second, the Queen was running towards them. She looked elated, a grin plastered in her face. And of course, the firsg person she wdnt up to was Arabelle.

“It won’t happen again” bowing she took note of how he carried himself, interested to know exactly how fought but could blow her identity just yet. Standing back up she relaxed a bit. Looking up into his eyes she stepped in close to him, reactivating the spell charm as she met his gaze. “Please allow me to welcome you with the respect that the females of my people give such valiant warrior” blushing a bit as she placed her hand lightly on the forearm of his spear hand and the other on his chest as she leaned up briefly kissing him. “Welcome”

The spell worked for the first part as she placed a hand on his forearm. Though upon her leaning up for a kiss he would bring his free arm up, pushing her back as he shakes his head. Glaring for a moment as he broke the eye contact. "That is not how we treat anyone who arrives. And I am no valiant warrior yet. Now start moving along before I make you." His own eyes would be glowing now though...As it would seem a strange film now covered them. His face one of slight confusion but mostly annoyance.

As afterwards he would look over to Bailey again. Doing his best to hold back the shock from actually being asked his name. Before nodding to her. "The name is Xonrot." The name itself having a slight ascent as he spoke. While taking another bow. Glancing at the 'servant' once more before starting to wave her off. "Anyways...Unless you hear yourself being called for...Don't return is a safe idea."

He would cover his noise for a moment. The scent of blood being fairly easy for him to pick up. As he looks around quickly. His body tensing as he turns to the corridor she went through. Glaring for a moment as he stands alert. Waiting to see what could possibly walk through should they do so. As he after a few moments turns back to the group. Putting the spear away again. Before bowing to the queen. "S...Sorry for the delay highness...Have you figured out who is to guard where for tonight? Or should I try to find the captain to learn of that...?
