Fantasy The Beast's Legacy

Shima expected that Percy would scold her or run away but he didn't. Instead, he wrapped his arms around her and petted her head, cooing sweet words to her that it wasn't her fault. Shima only grasped at Percy's shirt and whimpered, her sobs muffled in his shoulder but their time was short as a gun shot could be heard, echoing throughout the woods and made Shima frozen on the spot. Her body became stiff in fear and she couldn't move, her breathing was also fast but it calmed down once Percy called out to the others, picking her up in his arms and running like there was no tomorrow.

Shima wasn't sure what was going on since it was all going so fast for her but she knew that danger was near and it was no time to be sitting here like ducks, they needed to get back home or either find somewhere to hide but there was no where to hide other than the bushes but that wouldn't work out. Looking around them, Shima noticed Castrell returning back to their side along with Lylah not far behind him. Shima wasn't sure why they came to them but it would be best if they stick together but then it snapped to her that Sefu and Lucy were no where in sight,"
They're okay... they'll be fine." Shima tried to persuade herself but it was hard for her to believe, clenching at Percy's shirt tightly.

Watching Castrell book it Percy was also about to take off, until Castrell came back, along with Lylah. Giving them an incredulous look Percy motioned them to run; he had no idea why they insisted on going in the direction where they heard the gunshot. Still holding Shima Percy shifted her in his arms so he'd have a bigger grip on her. He doubted she could transform in her animal form as of right now, not after the whole ordeal earlier and his form was of a small raven, so carrying her in his animal form was out of the question.

Even though I'm one hell of a strong flyer, there's no way I could.

Looking back at Castrell and Lylah Percy pointed in the other direction, his patience waning thin.

"What are you both doing, RUN!" he shouted.

After ordering both of them to run Percy started running himself. Blindly scampering in the other direction Percy knew he just had to get as far away from the gunshot as possible...though that didn't work as he ended up face to face with the gun shooter. It was a middle aged man dressed in cameo. A cigarette was stuck in his mouth and in his trembling hands were holding a shotgun. Freezing at the sight of the man Percy clenched Shima further to his chest, his breath coming out in short gasps and his chest constricted with anxiety. The man was obviously frightened as well, but was trying to hide it by appearing angry.

“I-I saw that freak,” the man stuttered, pointing to Shima. “I saw her turn into that…beast and go batshit, s-so just drop the girl, and I won’t shoot.”

Not knowing what to do Percy let an insult slip from his clenched teeth. “Screw you…just leave us alone!”

The man in response drew his shot gun and pointed it at Shima, his hands shaking even more as he took a step forward.

“Not when you have that…monster in your arms.”

It seemed to go in slow motion at first, the man’s finger slipped and pulled the trigger, but because of his unsteady hold on the firearm instead of hitting Shima, it hit Percy’s arm. Feeling the bullet pierce his right arm Percy cried out. Pain immediately swelled wear the bullet entered his arm and he was forced to drop Shima. Stumbling around Percy’s arm throbbed to the point of being unbearable. Blood was also pooling out from where Percy grasped it.

Lylah quickly ran after Percy and Shima when he shouts for them to run and immediately stops in her tracks at seeing the human. Her hackles rise, the smell of fear from him was polluting the air around them. She saw the man point the gun at Shima and call her a "freak". The animal in her took over for a moment at the idea of him hurting Shima or any of them for that matter. She knew if Shima had to she could defend herself no problem but she already thought Shima was injured and couldn't stand the idea of the human trying to kill Shima. .She was moving before her mind even registered it and she tackled the man down but it was too late. The bullet had already hit Percy. At the smell of blood that wasn't the human's she clamped down on his shoulder, narrowly missing his neck. She was growling as blood poured into her mouth before quickly releasing the human and shakes her head to get the taste of human blood out of her mouth. She keeps backing away when her thoughts returned and "animal mode" disengaged. She looked on in horror but didn't dare change back into her human form.

Castrell had felt his decision to return to Percy had been a good one. A very good on, in fact. And then Percy had told him to run again, but of course hadn't. Why would he? What would be achieved. It was, however, nice to see Lylah there and safe. And then Castrell heard the second gunshot, followed swiftly by the sound of Percy crying out.

Running to Lylah, Percy and Shima (who appeared to have been dropped on the ground in the most unceremonious fashion ever), Castrell stretched up, shifting back to a human, his fur receding along with muzzle and tail. 'Oh my...' he breathed, looking at Percy's wound, before noticing the man lying on the ground. He seemed to be still alive, blinking up in fear while his life pumped out of the bite on his shoulder Lylah had caused.

Walking over to the middle-aged man, Castrell didn't know what he was to do. This man, this...beast...had shot Percy. It seemed he had been aiming for Shima, which made it even worse, since she was fairly out of it at the current time. Castrell wanted to finish what Lylah had done. It was clear this was what he wanted to do-his fists were clenched, he was shaking slightly out of fury. 'What was that for!?' Castrell roared at the dying man.

(Just came back from watching Transformers 4!

:D )
Sefu just stared at thin air. A lot had happened, and it was pretty hard to process it. He was broken out of his thoughts by a gun shot. "
Huh?" he said as he looked around. He saw his acquaintance running like they were being chased by a bull. "Are we playing tag...?" he asked nobody, but nonetheless, he zipped after them. He was having a hard time catching up, mind you, because he kept tripping for no reason at all. Sefu didn't know who was 'It', and that's another problem. If he was 'It', he was doing a pretty bad job in chasing the other players. Then something clicked in his head. BAT MAN! Sefu concentrated on shifting and he transformed into a bat.

Sefu then flew after the other people before he crashed into a tree. He slid down and landed on a branch. His gaze landed on a guy with a shotgun. Things happened so fast. The stranger shot the guy holding the girl that was a tiger earlier, another creature pouncing on the man, another guy shouting at the dying dude, and so on. Sefu did
not want to shift into a human because he'll fall down. Again. He, instead, squeaked, and hung upside down.

Percy was running and ordered the other two to get far away but it seemed that it was too late as Percy was head to head with the hunter, frozen on the spot and no where to run now. She tried to hide in Percy's arms, staring at the hunter as his gun was pointed at Shima. Shima was terrified by the gun being pointed at her and was about to take her fate but before the bullet could hit her, it took her a while to process what had happened but the smell of blood could be smelled in the air.

Her eyes were widen in shock as Percy's arm had protected her from harm, his arm bleeding and she was on the ground looking up at Percy who was in pain,"
P-p-percy..." Shima whispered out still stun by what had happened. She didn't care that Lylah had bite the guy on the shoulder, his cries were blocked out of Shima's thoughts and her attention locked on Percy. Looking down to her dress, she ripped a small cloth of it, not caring that she ruined her dress and it was already dirtied to begin with. Wrapping the white cloth over the wound, she tighten it and hugged Percy close to her small form, tears streaming down her cheeks that was already covered with dry tears from her previous sobbing.

This was all her fault, if she had listened to Percy and not go near the hole, this would not have happen. Everything was all going wrong and it was all her fault, nothing could tell her that it was not her doing, everything was going all wrong because of her,"This is my fault, this is all my fault I'm sorry Percy I'm sorry." Shima cried out and held him tighter but not to tight to the poke of choking him,"If only I listened to you this wouldn't have happen, if only I listened." Shima mumbled but before she could say anymore, her vision suddenly turned dark and blurry.

"What hap-"

With one last breath, Shima's grip on Percy weaken and her body fell to the ground with a thump. It seemed as if she died but there were no wound, sleepiness just went up in her head and she finally met her limit. Her breathing was slow and she just laid there napping in the leaves while Castrell roared at the man for shooting at Percy and on top of that trying to kill Shima though she was just a girl and still so young to die.

Blood pounding in his ears as Percy swayed back and forth, trying to asses this situation. Some guy just shot him in the arm, and then Lylah flew out of nowhere and attacked him, biting him near the neck. Watching blood gush from his arms and the guys shoulder Percy felt vomit rise up but he forced it down. He didn't know what to think of this situation and he was 50% he was in shock right now. Than Castrell starting shouting at the man with the white the fury of a thousand burning suns. Somehow the man managed to answer Castrell's question, however his reply sounding like he was gargling marbles.

"All of you...are fucking freaks, that's why...the stories about this forest were right, this place is filled...with monsters."

The man let out one final breath before his body shuddered and gave out, marking the end of his life.

By this point Percy’s head was swimming and he was getting tunnel vision, the man was dead, he was shot, and everything was falling apart. However when Shima wrapped a part of her dress onto his wound Percy felt himself relax a bit more, even as a sharp pain traveled up his arm from when Shima wrapped the cloth around his bullet wound. Percy desperately wanted to cry with Shima when she hugged him and apologized but his pride coupled with exhaustion wouldn't let him.

"Shima...it's not your fault...none of this is..." Percy croaked.

Watching her fall limp, presumably passing out from exhaustion, Percy felt his own body threatening to give out. The cloth Shima wrapped around his arm couldn't contain the amount of blood that was flooding out. Along with blood loss and shock Percy didn't think he could hold up much longer. Swallowing everything he believed in and his pride Percy made a request.

"Guys...at this point I'm going to bleed out, I need you all...to take me to the village near here, find a doctor, and either bring Shima with you or bring her back home...wherever she's safest..." Percy practically begged to no one in particular.

Castrell stood there silently, backing away from the man as he insulted them and referred to them as "monsters". And then, Castrell continued to remain silent as Percy requested help, begging to everyone there. For a few moments after, Castrell continued to remain like this. Motionless. Not doing anything. And then he started to talk and move.

Pulling his scarf off from around his neck, Castrell strolled over to Percy, trying to remain calm. He didn't dare shift then. The smell of death and blood in the air would be far too strong. Hunkering down beside Percy, Castrell tied his scarf around the wound, pulling it extremely tight. Even so, the blood seemed to seep through and ruin the leaf patterns and turn the green fabric a bloody brown. Whatever. It seemed to be doing something more than the strip of Shima's skirt.

Shima. That was another problem Castrell would have to address. He figured that both he and Lylah could carry Percy between them, but Lucy was nowhere to be seen, and Castrell was fairly certain Sefu was around somewhere. 'Sefu?!' Castrell yelled out, his voice breaking and dying with panic. 'If you're around here, could you carry Shima?' Stopping, Castrell began to think. He was never sure of Sefu. He didn't know if he was delusional or just forgetful. Trying a different tactic, Castrell called out again. 'Think of Shima like your guitar!' He yelled out into the trees. 'Just carry her the way you would carry that,' Castrell ended. He thought he was being pretty clever here, as Sefu was extremely protective of his guitar.

With that matter sorted, Castrell turned to the jaguar that was Lylah. 'Lylah?' He asked, unsure of whether or not she was still sane following her odd snap at the hunter. 'Could you help me carry Percy?' Castrell asked, talking directly at the form.

Sefu looked at the guy that called his name. How he even knew his name, Sefu didn't know. Maybe this guy is a magician... Sefu squeaked in response to the guy's question of carrying Shima. Wait, who's Shima? he thought to himself. His gaze landed on the unconscious girl on the ground. Oh so THAT'S Shima. He then heard the guy say something once more. Something about thinking the girl was his guitar. WAIT. Guitar... Guitar... GUITAR! HIS GUITAR! Sefu suddenly shifted into a human and fell. Again. He landed on the ground with a thud. His head hurt because he was upside down while in bat form. He then walked up to 'Shima' and carried her. He looked at the guy that requested him to carry the girl and said, "What am I going to do now, mister?" he asked him while looking around. Sefu then listened to the 'stranger, hearing him call someone named... Lylah, and had asked for assistance with carrying Percy, whoever that guy is. Sefu thought of shifting into a bat again and carry Shima but that would be impossible since a bat isn't that strong.

Lylah often went wandering in the small strip of woods, occasionally getting lucky with a rabbit or squirrel that managed to dig under or climb over the wall and unintentionally learned how to keep most her control in animal form through that but she never had to deal with an actual "family" member being attacked. Lylah changed back into her human form, glaring down at the human, not sure how she felt about actually killing someone. She wipes whatever trace of blood on her mouth with her sleeve before looking up at Castrell. "Yes I can help you carry him. Is Shima going to be alright?" She asks not quite sure what was going on with her. She makes her way over to Castrell and Percy, her thoughts keeping her quiet for the most part, not that she was very talkative to begin with.
Lol I have 2 dogs, 2 ferrets, a hedgehog, and 7 cats. All mine are rescues and most have some sort of physical/mental/behavioral issue.

When Castrell took off his scarf and wrapped it around his wound Percy suppressed a gasp. That scarf was practically attached to his neck these days, he adored it, but now he was using it to stop the blood flowing from his bullet wound, no doubt it was going to be ruined as it was already turning into a nast brown color. Percy was extremely touched by this gesture and by his attitude in general. Instead of acting shell shocked Castrell was leading everyone, taking charge.

Maybe if I end up dying from this, the others will be in good hands, Castrell seems to know what he's doing...wait what am I saying? I'm NOT going to die! Right?

Now that he thought about it everything was getting extremely hazy and...off, like he was underwater. Voices were muffled and movements were slow. He also felt weirdly feverish and his arm was numb, and he was pretty sure that not feeling pain in an injury is not a good sign. Throughout this Percy was inwardly panicking I'm not dying...I am not dying was the phrase he kept repeating over and over, however each time he thought it the phrase lost some if it's meaning.

"Castrell, I know this is as cliché as hell, but just in case, if something goes wrong, make sure to take good care of the others, you're not going to be as good as me of course but you're still a good sibling..." Percy told him, trying to use his narcissism to lighten the mood.

Castrell paused when Percy spoke. He hadn’t been expecting that at all, if he were to be honest. He was all ready to ask Lylah to take Percy’s legs have her help him carry Percy like a stretcher. But then Percy started being narcissistic. Not in a bad way of course.

Making a gesture to Lylah, Castrell indicated for her to come over before turning his attention back to Percy. ‘Oh stop talking like that!’ Castrell said, his voice unexpectedly harsh. ‘You’re going to be fine. If we hurry up that is. But I do accept the complement none the less,’ he added with a smile.

‘Lylah, could you take his legs please?’ Castrell asked, turning his attention back to her. ‘I’ll take his shoulders. Unless you have any other ideas on how we could carry him?’ Castrell asked, curious. He wasn’t entirely sure that this would work for a long time, as it would be awkward for Percy after a while and both Castrell and Lylah.

"Not anything that wouldn't take a serious about of time" She states making her way over to Percy to grab his legs. She looks at Percy with a comforting smile. "You'll be fine, besides what would Shima do without you?" She looks over at Castrell. "What should we say happened? I mean I don't know if it's wise to tell them what we are...." She swallows a little nervously. "Maybe something about a wild animal..... we were running from it and the guy accidentally shot Percy and the animal got the guy instead?...." She hated to increase rumors about the forest but what choice did they have?

Castrell continued to perform his recently adopted habit of remaining silent as Lylah spoke to him regarding how they could cover up the incident. When she ended, he continued to remain silent, contemplating the situation. ‘I’m not sure,’ he said, thinking. ‘Whatever the matter, at least they won’t want to know what we were doing out in the woods on our own. It isn’t like we’re that young,’ he said with a smile. ‘Anyway, I really think we should start to move Percy. The scarf is holding up well it seems but I don’t know for how long.’ Castrell checked he was holding Percy firmly, before yelling at Sefu. ‘Sefu! We’re going now!’

"I agree, he needs help and let's get him there as quickly as possible" She says adjusting her grip on Percy's legs before moving with Castrell to town. "I'll figure something out for us..." She says looking over at Sefu and Shima, hoping Sefu would be reliable enough to carry Shima.

The town. The town. Town. Town. The town. That was the extent of Castrell's thoughts as he and Lylah had plodded along, carrying the steadily-dying Percy. He hadn't even bothered to check on Sefu and Shima. At all. It wasn't that he trusted Sefu, for he most certainly didn't. At all. In the slightest. He was just too busy.

And then, there it was. Through the thinning trees, a small neighborhood could be seen. The end of a road, houses on either side, yet not one on the end. Probably a place where there would be small children. They didn't need to see this, but at this point, Castrell simply didn't care. 'Help!' He yelled, his voice dry and breaking. 'Help us!' He yelled again, panicking. While the scarf had done a good job for Percy thus far, blood was still leaking out.

Percy could feel himself slip away, fade into unconsciousness and consciousness .The way Lylah and Castrell carried him was embarrassing but Percy couldn't and wouldn't protest. His entire arm was now completely numb, neither pain or the feeling of blood trickling out of the scarf was evident to Percy. Hearing Castrell's desperate scream for help Percy felt a tear slip out despite himself. Everything was falling apart but at the same time Percy knew something like this would happen eventually, certainly not getting shot, but being forced to interact with others not part of the family, forced outside there home and into the unforgiving world. With that thought Percy felt himself slip away fully into unconsciousness.

(so how is this going to go down?)

As the moving of Percy entered the street, Castrell didn’t notice Percy slip into the realms beyond consciousness. Instead, he was more focused on a sound in the distance. It sounded like a siren. What could it be? Something coming to help? Hopefully. But the question was, how did these people know about everything that was going on?

What Castrell and Lylah (provided she was actually caring about this) was that when the odd group had approached the town area, a woman had seen them coming out of her window. She had seen Percy, and called an ambulance in an instant. And here it was, coming straight down the road right now. To provide help. Yes. Help. Help. Help. Help. Percy needed help, Shima needed help. Everyone needed help. Now.

The stopped in front of the group, and a man and woman hurried out. They both looked extremely concerned. ‘How do they know about us?’ Castrell hissed to Lylah, watching the pair and they ran forward.

Lylah was watching the pair, growing slightly panicked as well. "I-I don't know. Maybe they saw us or heard you?" She asks, tightening her grip on Percy, unknowingly. She had to force herself to stay confident, not to change and run because that was all she wanted to do right now after the experience with the guy with the gun. Maybe they were all like that....no... at least these two didn't have a gun, at least not one she could see from where she was standing and it was doubtful since she could see both their hands. "I hope this doesn't turn out to be a bad idea...." She whispers quietly, mostly to herself.

Sefu watched as the man and woman hurry toward them. He was still carrying Shima, don't worry. He just... doesn't know what the heck he should do. "Who are they? Are they going to help us?" he asked Castrell and Lylah. Shima was kinda heavy, but don't tell her that. Seriously, don't. Sefu then suddenly remembered a song. He forgot what it was about, but it had a nice tune. It was catchy. And, he could relate to it. It was called

. No, it wasn't about the singer being a nightmare to everyone. It was a nice song. It was probably Sefu's favorite. Maybe it's my favorite.he thought to himself. Actually, maybe it IS his favorite.

-Sorry I haven't post in a while... I didn't know if I should post since Shima is sleeping but I guess I could put something ^^;-

Everything was cloudy and dark but Shima could hear some voices. She couldn't quite tell who it was but she couldn't open her eyes to see the owners of the voices. Her body felt light and everything was soon fading away, the voices becoming silence until she heard the sound of water. Opening her eyes, Shima found herself laying on the floor of a dark room. Though it was dark, Shima was able to see in the dark a bit, looking around to see a child, a girl not older than maybe 5 or 6 sitting in a corner with ragged clothing and a stuffed teddy bear tucked protectively in her small embrace.

Her hair was cut sideways and was very messy with some strands sticking up. Shima couldn't see her face since it was hidden in her knees but she could tell that the girl was crying, sniffles being heard from her,"H-hello?" Shima called out in a whisper hoping the girl heard her but it didn't seem she did as she continued to weep. Getting up from the ground, Shima slowly walked up to her and sat down next to the girl,"U-umm... A-are you hurt?" Shima asked a little louder but the girl still didn't answer. Shima was confused and tried to touch the girl but when she did, her hand went right through her body as if she was a hologram. With a gasps. Shima pulled away her hand and stared at the girl in shock,"W-what's going on?" Shima thought getting up and looked around the room.

The room was pretty small, smaller than Shima's room and had only a single bed and a drawer across from the bed. There was no light in the room and only a single window stood next to the bed but it had bars and planks covering it so only small speck of light could enter,"What terrible condition." Shima thought and turned to look at the girl more closely. Getting a better look at her, Shima gasped again when she saw all the bruises on the poor child's body. The poor girl was wounded with scars and burnt marks and from the look of it, they looked exactly like Shima's,"W-what? N-no... I-i don't remem-" Before she could finish her thoughts, a loud thump could be heard outside, turning her attention to the door that was closed shut.

Shima's heart started to pump faster, confused why she was even scared but she was scared out of her mind as the doorknob started to shake. It seemed that girl was also scared, her body trembled more and her head looked up with her eyes widen in fear as Shima was also doing the same but for a different reason. The girl... her eyes were icy-blue just like Shima's... no... they were Shima's eyes,"This is... me." Shima mumbled as the door swung open and there standing at the door was an elderly lady in her 50s or 60s. She was wearing all black and her eyes stared at the girl, no, at little Shima with hatred,"You disgusting monster! Why are you even alive?!" The woman yelled out in anger and yank the little Shima out of the corner and out the door while she struggled to get free from her strong grip,"Wait! Let her go! Don't touch her!" Shima cried out running to the woman to push her off but she only ran through them, tripping and falling to the floor with a loud thump.

Shaking her head, Shima looked up to them and watched them walk down the stairs, the poor child crying and her stuffed bear fell to the ground next to Shima,"N-no... s-stop please." Shima begged as she stared at the worn teddy bear with teary eyes, the bear missing an eye and it's body torn and patched with many different fabrics. Holding her head in her hands, Shima cried out in anxiety as memories flowed into her mind,"Stop this... I-i don't want this! Stop!" Shima cried out as everything went black once more and she was then left to cry all alone in the darkness, the bear still by her side.

"
S-stop..."

As Sefu was holding Shima her closed eyelids were dripping with tears, her face calm and showed no sign of pain or sadness but tears kept on spilling from them as Shima laid in Sefu's arm sleeping soundly, her breathing soft. It was a strange sight to see when she seemed to be fine but mentally, she was in despair and in pain of many memories that she had long forgotten flowing back into her mind, the sufferings she had been through that was long forgotten because of the old lady who helped her forget them but from everything that had happen to her until now, she was remembering and she could never escape her past now.

-If this seems like too depressing or something I could change it to a more happier thing ^^;-

((Omg so sorry I haven't been posting. It wasn't giving me notifications. Geez I missed a lot but I read it all!))
Lucy had tried to follow the group but had would up getting seperate from them. In that time, she had heard many roars and a couple of gunshots. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't find the group but she did find a dead man with a chunk taken out of his shoulder and she could clearly smell Percy's blood. Freaking out just a little, she decides to stay in cat form to find the group easier. She eventually finds them, but they're in town and surrounded by an ambulance. She can't turn human now so she does the best thing she can think of at this moment to alert the others. She walks up to Castrell and runs against his leg like a usual cat, but her distinctive color let's him know it's her. She notices Percy and Shima are being carried. She restrains from freaking out.
