Fantasy The Beast's Legacy

Lylah runs after Castrell glad she didn't have to tote anyone around. She glances up at seeing the shadow and Lucy's statement about Percy. It didn't surprise her but she didn't mind having someone who could see further past the trees than them, it gave them a slight advantage if there was any trouble around. She keeps up with Castrell, excited about getting to the city.

Castrell had heard Lucy's statement, but he hadn't bothered to acknowledge it. Of course Percy was following them. Of course he was! Why wouldn't he be? That was the thing Castrell found annoying about Percy-his constant need to be checking on them. In all fairness, Castrell didn't exactly know why he hated that quirk of Percy's, although he suspected it came from having his shift as a pack animal.

'I think we're getting close,' he said, shifting back into a human after a good quarter of an hour. 'I haven't run this much for along time,' he added, puffing.

Lylah changes back into her human form, a little winded as well. "I thought I was in decent shape but I guess I'm built for sprinting since we only have so much room" She states before looking back at Lucy to make sure she kept up. "I hope we're getting close, it can't be that far away for them to give us packages without driving through"

"Didn't Percy say that we couldn't leave the forest though? And our destination is a town." Lucy says as she looks back up at the big black bird flying overhead.

‘Well then,’ Castrell said, grumbling. ‘If Percy wanted to stop us he’d come and get us, right?’ He asked Lylah and Lucy. ‘And he clearly isn’t wanting to stop us if it was him who you saw before, so why bother stopping?’ He asked again. ‘And besides, we’re getting pretty close to the town anyway,’ he said, since, as Lylah said, it can’t be too far away, since they did have to get the packages to us,’ Castrell pointed out, continuing to walk.

"True." Lucy replies. She still had a nagging feeling deep within her that something was going to go wrong. She hoped they reached the town soon. She also hoped that Percy would slow turn to enter the town, but she doubted that.

Lylah smells what she thinks is the smell of human and changes into her human form because a jaguar in town would probably not go over very well. "I think we're really close now guys"

"We are?" Lucy asks surprised. And Percy is gunna stop us any minute now. I know it

She thinks to herself as she looks back up at the bird, her sandy blonde hair falling back behind her.

Shima glanced at the two and sighed as she felt she was being the older one here babysitting two big kids,"I'll be outside if you need me." Shima said and walked off to go check out the hole again. She felt that she needed to check it thoroughly just in case so nothing bad would happen, staring at the hole and took a step closer to it with her intense stare. She couldn't smell anything on the wall but the smell of nature and rain. There were no tools lying around to show any evidence that someone was here and the wall seemed to fit anyone in that were the size of Shima, her small form able to just squeeze through without even changing into her tiger form but her tiger form wouldn't be able to squeeze through like the others.

Tapping on the edges of the hole, Shima's curiosity grew more and more as she got closer to the hole inch by inch,"Seems nothing can help me solve this... I guess the rain must have done this then." Shima thought and was about to get up when she lost her balance, her feet had accidentally stepped onto her dress making her trip and fall through the hole, Shima falling onto the wet leaves making Shima's cloak dirtied along with her white dress. Quickly getting up, Shima tried to wipe away the mud but it wouldn't come off, Shima feeling terrible that she had ruin the dress that she had made with the help of the old lady,"Oh no, the dress is dirty." Shima thought and looked around her as she gasped realizing where she was. She was outside.... outside of the wall and Percy even told her that she was not allowed out, no one was until they got back, Shima panicking a bit but then her other side took over, her tiger instinct,"No... I can't disobey Percy now. He'll be very mad at me." Shima told herself but the will to be free from her cage was too strong, getting on all four and white ears popped onto her head along with a white striped tail.

The dress soon disappeared and her pale skin becoming elegant white fur along with black stripes covering them. Her body grew bigger until it was the size of a tiger, her teeth and nails grew sharper and long. Finally, she had fully transformed into her other form, Shima sniffed the air and glanced at the woods beyond. The tiger however was not how Shima would act, it was as if it was a real wild white tiger, Shima's eyes filled with lust to be free and roam around her new territory.

Turning her back towards the wall, she ran off towards where she smelled her brothers and sisters, their scent still fresh but would soon faint if she didn't hurry. Running through the woods, Shima smiled at how well the wind felt as it blew through her fur, the feeling to run at full speed made her feel alive and free but deep down she wanted to stop from doing this. She never told her family about this but the truth was that she didn't have full control over her wild side, the beast within her was untamed and Shima was unable to control it well enough like the others. Though she was cool and collected as a human when she was a tiger, she was wild.

Though her siblings were easily able to control themselves, unlike her, she was actually scared of her beast side. To be a tiger meant to have a strong will and though on the outside Shima seemed strong, she was actually pretty weak and couldn't control the tiger she is. Now here she was running freely and following after the trail of her siblings, excited to see them but scared as well, mixed feelings filled her heart,"Please.. stop." Shima begged as she continued to run off.

-Need some action so here it is! >:3-

'I think we are getting fairly close, yes,' Castrell agreed. The town didn't seem too far away from the house, and upon consideration, Castrell realised that Percy must have been lying to them about the size of the forest. And now Percy was out here with them too. Wonderful.

Resting down against a tree, Castrell exhaled loudly. 'Shame the river is now not as accessible as it was before,' he mumbled, 'I think I'm getting dehydrated already. Could we just have a sit down quickly?' He asked Lylah and Lucy, although he had already made up his mind.

Accepting the offer gladly, Lucy leans against a tree next to Castrell's. She looks up at the sky again to find Percy circling them. She turns to cat and begins to clean herself from the long journey that they would probably be doing again soon. She sniffs the air and notices something... Off. Deciding it was probably just the scent of humans. She looks up at Castrell after she turns back into human form. "What are we going to do once we get there? I mean we've always dreamed of finding a human town, but now, here we are, so close." She mumbles the last part as she looks up at Castrell.

Lylah nods in agreement and stops to sit down against a tree near the other two. "I for one would like to know why our rations keep getting smaller we'll never survive if they keep getting smaller. We can't live on baked goods forever either" she says with a small sigh. She was getting a little nervous the closer they got to the town but her curiosity was much greater.

The sound of Shima's paws splashes onto the wet ground and dirtied her white fur but it didn't matter to her. She was on the search of her missing companion and wasn't going to stop till she found them. Their scent was close and was very strong since Shima had excellent senses, it wouldn't take her long just to find them in the smell of wet forest but another smell caught her attention, stopping at her haste and turning to see past the trees a small town. Shima's piercing blue eyes lit up at the sight of the town and among the town were humans just like the old lady.

Shima couldn't believe it that in the first time of her life that she was back into the outside world where she saw humans but the sight of them scared her for some reason and then it struck her, visions of people flooded her mind as she collapsed to the ground in distress, her head pounding hard,"Ahh... w-what is t-this?" Shima thought confused who the people were as she tried to make it all stop and with one deep breath, she raised to the sky and let out a crying roar loud enough for anyone to hear even in the town as she noticed some people staring at the forest from afar.

Shima's eyes widen in shock at what she just did and with quick speed, she dashed off to go and hide, scared of what she just did,"Oh no! They'll kill me now! They'll kill me." Shima thought as she ran away from the path where she was following her siblings and ran off deeper into the woods of the unknown. She was scared and her vision and mind was clouded with fear. No matter how much she cried to stop and turn back to go after her siblings, her feet wouldn't listen and continued to run, run until she was far away from the town,"Run, stop running! Percy! Castrell! They're back there." Shima cried out but her animal side wouldn't listen still and with that Shima was also taken away into the deep darkness within letting her tiger form take control.

-I hope this is fine! I just wanted to add in more action to go in xD -

Lucy jumps as she hears the loud roar, not being in her cat form she sadly didn't land on her feet and fell on her butt by Castrell. She looks around nervously, wondering what beast could have made that noise. Was it one of then? Was it an actual beast?

The roar tore through the trees and straight to Castrell’s ears. Pushing himself up from the tree he was leaning against, he cocked his head to one side, and looked around. ‘Just what exactly,’ he said, paling, ‘was that? Or who, for that matter?’ He asked, but before any questions could be answered by either Lylah or Lucy, Castrell had gotten up and was running into the forest, still a human, with his scarf flapping wildly as he ran.

There was only one person who it could have been, and Castrell knew this. Shima. Castrell hadn’t seen her shift often, and he wasn’t sure if she could control her animal emotions and instincts. Cursing softly to the wind, Castrell bent over and shifted, becoming his considerably more comfortable wolf form. From there, he started to search for Shima.

Taking a double take as Castrell ran off, straight into the deepest part of the woods. Slightly scared, but wanting to help. She turns into her cat form and climbs the nearest tree and jumps from branch to branch, easily keeping up with Castrell because of the strong branches that swept from tree to tree.

Percy felt nervousness eat away at his stomach, all of them were getting awfully close to the town, the town he lied about not being there and instead everything was just forest. He wasn't too keen on them actually going in the town; he was actually going to convince them otherwise when he heard a deep feral roar. It was so animalistic it shook him to the core; clearly one of his siblings was in distress. Racking his brain thought about who it could be, and came up with only one person who matched.

Shima...what is she doing outside the wall? More importantly where is she!?

Panic and worry instantly flooded him and without any hesitation he flew next to Castrell giving him a signal that he would look from the sky, before flying up. Wings rapidly pumping Percy scanned the area frantically, leaving no part of the forest unchecked by him. To his instant relief he found her in her tiger form, her stunning white form was easy to detect as the surrounding area was mostly green and brown. Flying back to the ground Percy transformed back to his human form.

"Shima what's wrong! I was so worried, are you okay? Are you hurt...Shima?"

Something was off. Her body was tense, like it was scouring for prey, ready to attack. Her teeth were bared, and her eyes, although the same icy blue held no resemblance to Shima's.

"Shima..."

The sound of the wind blowing past Shima was the only thing that gave her company as they carry voices, many strange, unknown voices that sounded like the humans. Many thoughts went through her head and the sound of gun fire could be heard but there was no such thing in the forest, she was only hearing and seeing things, the fear taking complete control of her. She was so scared to the point where she was blind and deaf with fear whispering to her with it's evil tricks.

She wanted to hide, run, just anything to get away from here. She hated it all and wanted to just hide in somewhere safe like the old lady. She wanted to just run into the old lady's arms and just hug her tightly, to be in her protective embrace where she didn't have to face an harm or danger. The sweet thoughts were only a dream now as Shima knew that the old lady was gone and she was truly alone in this world, not knowing she still had the others.

About to make a turn, a figure appeared before her and called out to her but she couldn't hear as she was too scared to and stood there frozen in place thinking it was a hunter. The figure then seemed to come closer as Shima followed her instinct and raised her long claws at the Percy and tried to claw at his neck but she missed since she was too blind to see anything clear and everything being a blur of darkness,"S-stay away! D-don't touch me!" Shima cried out in her mind as she gave Percy a ferocious roar and clenched her teeth, ready to come at him again.

Don't tell anyone but Sefu was hanging on a branch, watching Shima and a guy. How, you ask? He followed Shima while in bat form. Why? He had no idea. The big kitty doesn't have a color. I should tell the round. he thought to himself. Sefu shifted into a human and grabbed onto the branch quickly. He listened as he heard breaking sounds. It's Summer already? The branch promptly broke and he fell on the ground with a very loud thud. As if on cue, Shima (or at least Sefu thought the tiger was Shima) roared. Sefu stood up slowly and said, "Bad kitty! No fish for you!" he exclaimed, not knowing the roar was meant for the guy beside him.

After Percy's brief arrival and departure consisting of a simple signal, Castrell was more or less left to his own devices. But despite this, he was able to find the area holding not one, not two, but three people, if you were to count the large cat. Percy and Shima (unsurprisingly) were there, and much to Castrell's surprise-Sefu. How he had managed to find his way to this place, or even piece together a plan to get here perplexed Castrell, yet he didn't have much time to dwell on the matter.

'SHIMA!' He roared back in reply to the tiger's own roar. 'What's gotten you into this state?' Castrell asked immediately afterwards in a surprisingly softer voice. There must have been something that had surprised the girl, and she simply needed calming down. Something both Percy and Sefu seemed to be failing to grasp the concept of.

Percy froze, Shima’s honed claws almost tore out his neck. Eyes wide Percy took a few steps back, taking in the situation. Adrenaline pumped through his body, but he didn’t take any course of action. Shima looked ready ready to pounce again, her feral roar shook him to the core and her muscles rippled under her white coat, preparing to lunge. Still assessing the situation he didn’t expect Sefu, too fall from a tree and scold Shima, by saying she wouldn’t get any fish. Dumbfounded by Sefu’s sudden appearance he didn’t notice Castell until he let out a loud roar/growl, that rivaled Shima’s. Knowing he had to do something, Percy held out his hands in a non threatening motion.

The poor girl...she’s young so she must not know how to control her animal form, and...she must be...frightened also.

“Shima...calm down, we’re your family, we’re not going to hurt you.” Percy promised her, taking a few steps forward.

“I know you’re afraid...lonely...and hurt...but please, calm down.”

Taking a few more steps Percy looked into her eyes which held an animalistic tone. Panic pounded in his chest, though he’d never admit it, he was a little afraid, but he was the oldest so he could never show it. Afterall he was supposed to be the confident adult.

I can’t let something petty like fear drag me down, I...I’m too good for that!

“S-shima…” Percy whispered, trying to cloak his uncertainty.

Shima was only defending herself but it felt all wrong. Her will power to restrain herself from harming the man before her desperately was weakening. Shima knew who it was as the voice was easy for her to know it was her older brother, Percy along with another voice and with the loud thump of something falling beside her, glancing to see the bright blonde hair of her other older brother who scolded her in such childish ways but it was no way to play around as her body was being controlled completely.

About to go after Sefu, a loud growl called out to her, turning to see who was challenging her and seeing the brown wolf that matched the color of the forest around them. The growl called out to her for reasons of her berserk state but Shima couldn't say respond back but only with a loud roar of her own but only wanting to speak her rights of domination of who was stronger. Shima was surrounded all around her and there was no way for her to escape and it only led for her to take them all down quickly, going after Castrell first but she was interrupted by Percy calling out to her once more, his voice holding a sense of concern along with fear.

The sound of his feet coming closer made Shima growl softly at him, warning him to stay back but he only continued to come closer. The sound of his heart pounding in his chest could be heard but he didn't show of any feeling of cowering before her. His voice was calm and soothing, a voice that Shima loved and her growls becoming snarls until it was soft whines. Her piercing icy-blue eyes soften and the tension around her body calmed, raising her head down to the ground.

The white fur that was dirtied from the mud slowly vanished and revealed the soft fabric of her cloak along with her white dress that still had the stain that she got from climbing through the wall. Her long black hair fell over her face but under it was the face of the innocent girl, raising her head up to Percy and at the other two boys. Her eyes were filled with tears once more as she sat there in on the wet ground and let it all fall,"
P-percy... I-i'm s-s-sorry." Her voice soft and filled with guilt knowing what she had almost done to them if she had continued more,"I-i'm sorry, I'm sorry..." Apologizing so many times, Shima was heartbroken, ashamed, and all the more guilty of herself that she looked away from them and hid her face behind her hands, not wanting them to look at her anymore.

"I'm sorry..."

It seemed his plan was working, at first Shima was aggressive when Percy took his first few steps toward her, but after a couple more Shima calmed down, until she was lax and she transformed back into her human form, however when she did she broke down. Percy's throat burned from a buried sob that he formed from fear and sympathy from seeing Shima in her previous and current state, but even now he did not let it out. Instead he scurried over to Shima and took her in his arms. The girl was now repeating the word sorry like a scratched record.

"Shima, don't apologize, it wasn't your fault, no need to be ashamed either, this was out of your control, besides you didn't even hurt anyone," Percy informed her.

Petting her hair with soft gentle motions Percy tried to get her relaxed,

Shima is probably stressed like crazy, from the old women's death to this whole ordeal; she looks like she could use a rest.

Just as things were calming down a gunshot pierced through the air, startling Percy. Dread instantly turned his stomach to ice, his body freezing as the sound resonated through the area.

"...Run!" Percy ordered, picking up Shima and motioning the others to scatter.

(can...can I do this? If not I'll change this, it's just I figured this could use a bit more action, I feel like this is a little inconsiderate of me, so sorry, and again I'll gladly change it if you want)

As the gunshot cracked through the trees and to the ears of the teenagers standing in the forest. While Castrell was indeed relieved at the fact that Shima was back to being normal after her odd little panic, he was now more concerned with the pressing matter of whoever was holding the gun somewhere in the forest.

When Percy's call reached Castrell's ears, he immediately collapsed to the ground, fur rippling over him in a single wave. Starting to run, Castrell moved with one single intention. He needed to get back to Lucy and Lylah, provided they were still at the stream. Everything seemed to have gone horribly, horribly wrong. They should have listened to Percy. Should have. It was no good now. There were people with guns after them. But he bigger, more pressing question was why? Why were they after them? Surely the people would be more interested in talking to the teenagers, not harming them.

Making a mistake, Castrell stopped, raised his nose to the air and then changed direction completely. Lylah and Lucy could operate on their own just fine. Castrell needed to help Percy with Shima. And that was exactly the direction he started to head in. Maybe this was to be a mistake on his part, maybe it wasn't to be.

Lylah looked up at hearing the gunshot and looked at Lucy. She knew she didn't have to say anything to the other before changing into her jaguar form and booked it towards the sound and where Castrell had gone, hoping no harm had come to him. She paused to sniff the air before continuing her run. "Shima?" She thinks to herself before her fur bristled in alarm, she really hoped no harm had come to poor innocent Shima, she'd be the least deserving of a gunshot wound. She skidded to a stop when she saw Percy and Shima and alarm sounded in her body at Percy carrying Shima, thinking some harm had come to her.
