Fantasy The Beast's Legacy

Lylah nods excitedly before looking back at Percy. "I'll roar if we come across any trouble and we'll do our best to be back before dark" she says as reassuringly as possible, but her excitement overtook her voice a little bit. This had been the most she had talked in one session in months. It felt good, to be herself again. She didn't realize it but she had been losing herself as well as everyone else with her loner behavior. She used to be so lively when the old lady was around but she just became more and more cold as the days passed. She figured maybe that was her nature, jaguars were solitary creatures and that had to reflect her personality on some level. After all, the house was all lively, bright, vivid, and busy with the old lady around and you couldn't help but be affected by that. No one could have asked for a better childhood. She treated each child for who they were, never playing favorites and knowing what each individual child needed. She changed into her jaguar form, stretching her limbs happily before looking up at Lucy and then over at Castrell for the cue to go.

Shima became worry of the two of her siblings going off on their into the unknown world but Percy was with them so it should be fine... she hoped. Watching the three all go over the wall, Shima obeyed Percy's order and nodded, looking over to the two with worry eyes,"Be careful and come back safely." Shima called out, waving to them before looking over to Lucy with a nod and ran back into the house where Sefu and Rivern were still inside along with Camilla. Opening the door, she went ran past the living room and into the kitchen where the three sat over at the dining table.

Going over to Rivern's side since he was the oldest among the three here, tapping his arm gently,"
There is a problem. There's a hole in the wall and Percy said that no one is allowed to go out until Castrell and Lylah come back." Shima said and looked over to Sefu with a poker face. She wouldn't be surprise if the guy forgot who she was and what she just said to the three of them after a few minutes. The guy could fly so he was able to go out anytime he wanted but Percy didn't want anyone out at the moment, the situation at the moment was confusing and questions still linger around Shima's mind on how it became like this.

(Sorry! I wasn't getting updates so I missed a lot.)

Camilla turned as Shima entered the kitchen. She hadn't even noticed that she had left. In fact, where was everyone else? She must have been so depressed about loosing that she had zoned out. She still couldn't believe she couldn't win after all that practice. Well, it was just a fluke! any other spot and I would have won! She perked up at this thought. She was still the queen of games in the house!

"There is a problem. There's a hole in the wall and Percy said that no one is allowed to go out until Castrell and Lylah come back."

Cam's eyes opened wide with excitement. A hole in the wall!? Nothing exciting ever happened around the house. things were usually static, with very few things changing. With a hole in the wall, there were endless possibilities. She could finally go outside their sheltered home and explore, find new people to play with and learn new games to play! She had always wondered what awaited outside the wall, and unlike some of the others, she had no other means to get over, until now. She quickly bounced out of her chair. "A hole in the wall!?! I want to go, I want to go! Who knows what exciting adventures await us!" She bounced a bit on the tips of her toes, hardly able to keep still from the excitement

Castrell looked at the jaguar that was Lylah. He shot it an odd glance, realising how strange the situation was-you wouldn't expect to find a jaguar in a rainy, autumnal forest. Now that they were out of the walls, things that would have seemed so...standard to Castrell didn't apply anymore. Wolves in an autumnal forest on the other hand? Fairly normal.

Castrell swiftly collapsed over into his wolf form for the third time within several minutes, not that he was complaining, of course. It felt wonderful to be a wolf. When he had been in his wolf form for extended periods and he then shifted back to a human, Castrell would often notice how heavy and clunky he felt. He could only imagine what it would be like for someone such as Lucy, being so light as a cat, and he didn't even want his thoughts to stray to how Percy would feel after changing back.

The wolf that was Castrell shook its large, shaggy head, dispelling the thoughts and started walking, casting a glance at Lylah as he did so, as if to say "coming?" He then turned fully around, forgetting Lucy briefly, and did the same, before turning back and carrying on.

Lylah just tilts her head at the odd glance, it's not like she couldn't help what she shifted into and besides, the "shadowyness" of the forest kept her fairly camouflaged so she didn't stick out like a sore thumb. Besides, if they only had until dark she wanted to cover as much ground as possible and in these forms they would move a lot faster and if there happened to be danger out there, she could defend herself a lot easier in this form than her human. She quickly followed Castrell, taking in her surroundings, all the sights and smells, so new and exciting. She wanted to sniff every leaf on the ground and roll around and scratch the trees but there was more important things right now.

'So,' Castrell said, shifting up into a human. He had been padding along for about five minutes now, not running, just walking. The "so" had come out oddly, more of a growl than an actual word, probably because he had said it during his transformation, which wasn't the best time to be having a nice conversation.

'So,' he said again, repeating himself. 'Where should we go Lylah?' Castrell asked, now a full human. 'I mean, it just seems like forest all around,' he explained. 'Not really that much to see.'

Lylah looks in each direction, listening closely and sniffing the air before the smell of water hits her. She transforms back into human form and points in the direction of a possible river. "We should go that way. I smell water and from the books I've read, you can follow water to a town... if that's where we want to go.... I just figured maybe we can find out who's been supplying us our packages and why the supplies have dwindled..."

Lucy gets lost in her thoughts as the others contemplate about going out or not. She already knew that she was going to go into the 'wild', she was just waiting to see if any one else would join her. As she watches the others walk off and start talking about where to go through the wood. Jumping down from the wall ok the outer side, she lands lightly on the forest floor. Taking cautious steps at first, she gradually gets used to the feeling she gets. She can't quite name the feeling, she's never felt it before. Thinking that it's freedom, she pulls back her cat jowls, forming a smile as best as possible. She purrs with excitement, and runs to catch up with

others. She feels feeling of wonder flowing through the air and starts to wonder what people will think about seeing a jaguar, a wolf, and a domestic cat walking through the forest together.

Acknowledging Lylah's statements with a nod, Castrell turned around to find Lucy there, running along. She in her cat form, and seemed like she was trying to catch up. 'Hullo Lucy,' he remarked, addressing her with a flat tone. Turning back to Lylah, Castrell nodding again, before speaking. 'I think that'd work. But how far though?' He questioned, knowing that Lylah wouldn't know. 'We're debating how we are going to find a town or something along those lines,' he said to Lucy, explaining.

(Sorry, before school stuff -.- I'll type more on my next post)

"
What's a hole?" Sefu asked everyone when he received the news. From his genius-y persona, he switched to his... Forgetful persona. Everyone loves him when he's forgetful. He then stared at the girl that looked at him with a straight face. "Who are you? Are you a robber? Because if you are, I'm going to call the biker ("baker")." he told the girl. "Wait, what do cows eat? I need to eat. I'm a flying cow." he added, completely forgetting the fact that he was holding a banana and that he was Bat Man, not Cow Man. "They eat milk, right? And they drink grass. Hooray for me! I'm a genius!" Sefu cheered, putting his hands up in the air, while still holding the banana.

"Hey Lucy" She states looking over at her before towards the river again. "It can't be that far away... I don't see any tire tracks or anything like that so it has to be close enough for someone to carry or bike a package here. I wouldn't think more than a mile or two from home...." She states before heading in that direction, since they had to be back before dark she didn't want to waste any time. She wanted some kind of adventure, just a sliver of one in case that hole would disappear over night.

Lucy listens intently to the two's conversation about finding some where to explore. To be honest, Lucy just wanted to be free and stay free. Some one left that hole in the wall for a reason and Lucy wanted to know who and why. Lucy wanted to stay free and live a free normal life. She had read about a couple of men who had fought for uniting people as one and not treating them different for their differences. Lucy had read that those men had eventually accomplished their mission, but evidently people still didn't go by that. Lucy was at least human looking and she had every right that humans had, if not more.

Turning to look at Lylah, Castrell grinned. 'You mean we're going to go exploring?' He asked, becoming surprisingly childish all of a sudden. He flicked over to his wolf form, and then flicked back, still smiling. 'I can't smell the water,' he said, his voice showing his excitement. 'But I can certainly hear it!' He yelled into the forest, enjoying the echo. Once again, the freedom was bringing out strange emotions in him. Not in a long time had Castrell felt so happy. That had all ended when the old lady had died, and they had had to bury her.

'Shall we go then?' He asked, running forward, before turning back to Lylah and a pondering Lucy.

Lylah nods in her jaguar form and makes a run for the direction the river was. Enjoying the crunch of the leaves under her paws and the autumn wind blowing through her fur. She takes a long drink of water once they did reach the river, enjoying the coolness of it. She looks back at Castrell and Lucy to see if they kept up, not meaning to have run off so quickly, she couldn't help it, It felt good to just run and run and run.

Castrell had shifted to his wolf form and given chase after Lylah following her running off at such short notice. After chasing her for a brief period and finding her at what he assumed to be the river, he padded up beside the jaguar as it took a long drink of the fresh water.

Stepping into the shallow waters near the riverbank, the water only submerged Castrell’s paws. He didn’t dare leap further into the river, as it seemed to drop off to a rather deep section, and he had never learnt how to swim. To be more accurate with that statement, he had never been able to learn, as there had never been a swimming pool or river near the house. The closest thing was a small pond, which looked so unappealing Castrell had never been near it.

Lylah changes back in her human form and looks in both directions of the river. "Though I have no idea in which direction town would be in...." She states curiously. "Do you hear or smell anything?" She asks Castrell, looking along the river bank for any signs of human life, foot prints or anything else.

Shima turned to look at Camilla, the panda as usual seemed quite excited about this and Shima couldn't deny, she also was curious of what adventure they could experience out there but it also scared her to think of the danger that she read in books. The outside world sounded pretty insane to her, witches and such with killing one another, it sounded so insane that she was pretty much happy to be caged away from it but she needed the freedom to roam around, she was big now, too big to even stay here anymore. She needed her freedom and the old lady was gone now, it seemed that there was no need to stay here now since there was no one else to care for them except themselves.

Shima knew a bit about cooking and doing house chores but she didn't know much other than that. She wasn't much help on this and the situation seemed to get worse as Shima thought deeper into it, slightly panicking over it but she kept her composure, reminding herself that she wasn't alone in this, she had them, the people who she had lived with all her life. All 7 of them plus her had each other and if they stick together, they would be able to survive through anything,"
Well, I could show you the hole but Percy said we can't go out until the others come back." Shima said, obeying Percy's rules as she usually do.

Glancing over at Sefu, she frown at his words, already knew it was coming and sighed,"
A hole is hollow round circle that you are able to go through and my name is Shima, not a burglar." Shima corrected him, reminding him that she was his "younger sister" and she even had to explain such a simple word to him,"And you're a bat, not a cow Sefu. You also have that banana right there too." Shima reminded him again, pointing at the banana he had in his hand.

Sometimes Sefu could really be annoying at times with his forgetful mind but he was nice and funny. Shima liked that Sefu and Camilla could always lighten things up around here, thankful that they were here as her siblings.

Lucy watches as the jaguar and wolf run ahead to the river. She pads along behind them but goes no where near the running water. She watches as Castrell wades in the water and she comments "How can you stand the water?"

Castrell stretched up to his human form, his feet completely submerged in the river’s icy water. The cold had never bothered him that much, and for that he was thankful. ‘Quite easily, actually,’ he said to Lucy, smiling. ‘I don’t turn into a cat either, so that helps,’ he added with a wry smile. ‘Besides, we’re out here, out of the walls, out of captivity. Might as well enjoy it, you know?’ He asked Lucy, interested in her opinion.

Being alone with the same people in an enclosed space for what could be deemed the whole of his life, Castrell had learnt what made his “siblings” tick. It was a useful skill, particularly when trying to find out who was lying about finishing off the tinned tuna and whatnot (when they had actually had it delivered, mind).

‘There might be something on the other side of the river,’ Castrell said to Lylah, answering her question from earlier. Stepping out of the water, Castrell looked cast an eye around, before noticing something a little down the river. ‘Hey,’ he said, running down.

The ground was wet and covered in thick mud. There were eleven footprints (Castrell did a quick count) that all seemed to be leading down the river. There were none going the other way. ‘I’d say,’ he yelled back up the river, ‘that a town may be that way.’

"If I'm going to enjoy my time being outside the walls, it's not going to be getting wet." She replies to Castrell. She watches as he goes a little more down the river and says he thinks there's a town across the river. "So I have to cross that thing?!?" She exclaims as she glances at the cold water.

"Then lets go!" Lylah says with no hesitation before looking back at Lucy. "You're more than welcome to hitch a ride on my back, only temporarily though! I'm not a horse after all" She states changing into her jaguar form and waiting for Lucy to see what she decided, anxious to go see the town.

Lucy glances at the cold water. "Well I guess if we want to see the good and free world, if there's any left, we're going to have to take some for the team. Yeah sure, I'll ride on your back." Lucy agrees, trying to talk herself into it.

‘Erm, yes, riding on each other’s backs may not be required,’ Castrell said to both Lylah and Lucy as he ran up to them from down the river. The footprints are on this side, so we can just follow this, which I’m sure you’d both much prefer. And we don’t really know how to swim either, so it doesn’t seem like the safest idea anyway,’ he pointed out as he reached the two. ‘I think we should just run, okay?’ He asked without waiting for an answer as he shifted and started to run back down the river without waiting for the other two. Castrell had full faith they’d catch up.

Percy soared through the sky, his sleek black wings spread out to there full capacity. His beady black eyes were trained on the flooring of the forest while he skillfully dodged trees and the like. As of right now he was watching over his siblings. Was he being a bit over protective? Maybe, but seeing as all of them were humans/animals and he was the oldest he figured he had the right to watch over them. After all as much as Percy hated to admit it they were...mutants to the outside world. Of course Percy thought that their ability to transform was a gift and should be celebrated he's read countless history books where people segregated other people based on there ethic group and religion, imagine what would happen if they found out there were people who could transform into animals living in their world...he didn't want to to think about it.

"Thank god!" Lucy exclaims as she transforms back into a human and runs back up, following Castrell. She sees a shadow go over the ground and looks up. She groans. "Castrell, Percy is stalking us." She walks up behind Castrell.
