Futuristic The Advertures and MisAdventures of "The Pride"

Sasha followed beside Chris, and rolled her eyes and grinned at his comment. "Thanks for the compliment, but perhaps keep your eyes on your targets next time," she points to the mangled man-shield he drops, "and perhaps you can avoid being shot at so much." She winks at him as she awaits further instruction.

Tasha sighed. "That's a little hard to explain. I'm pretty sure that my folks cared for me, but all it seemed like all that they were keeping me around for was to get them famous by being a world renound medic. They were bossy and overly protective, controlling and indecisive, but they were helpful and encouraging, caring and fun."

She rolled her eyes at Thrace. "In other words, I hated them. That's part of the reason I took all the other lessons, learned how to shoot a gun, the secret martial arts lessons, and finally when they told me to join a good crew, I joined one with the vast majority of the people on it being outlaws. Can you imagine how mad they'd be?"

She couldn't help but smile as she imagined their faces. "And that's why I'm not planning on goin back any time soon."

Chris laughed as he rolled his shoulders. "I just figured I'd tell you about some of your finer qualities." He turned towards her and cracked his neck. "I'm sure that I get shot atore because I'm more dangerous is all Angel."

"Should I renovate you two a private room on the ship when this is over. Honestly I really don't want to hear any of that unless its directed to me." Devon could almost hear the clicks of the pulled triggers as he flung his body across the intersection. Luckily the only evidence of this encounter was a hot red tear through his robe that h hadnt noticed. With the target room infront of them he turned to Sasha. "It's your time to shine. Chris me and you watch her back as she works it." He smiled at the last few words he said knowing that he chose them wisely. He then made a few taps on his wrist and leaned into it. "Thrace! You better be there man!"

Sasha exhaled loudly at the captains words and chuckled a bit as she activated Osiris. With a loud whirring he sprang to life and the light from her eye piece began to scan the door before them. "Come on baby, do your thing." The doors intricacies were put on display like a holographic printout. The colors were blue and were slowly turning green as Osiris was taking over the system keeping the doors closed. "Just because you're all bulk doesn't mean you're bite is any harder than mine," she was speaking to both men, "get me in a room alone and see which one of use comes out still breathing." Her voice hinting at truth and seduction at the same time.

Chris laughed and shouldered his rifle. "I'll definitely be breathing Angel, but I can guarantee you'll be breathing as hard as I was."

"1 minute and we'll be good to go here," Sasha smiles from beneath her mask, "Osiris can be extremely useful...I'm just saying you need to let work on it in the ship...there's still a few kinks that I need to work out of it."

"Let you run that thing through the ship? That's gonna give you administrative control over systems no?" He shook his head. "It's not up to me Angel, but let's be honest that's a bad idea, at least until I trust you more." He pulled off a small disk from his belt and tossed it into the four way intersection. "For now just get that door open."

Sasha quickly went to work. With the heads up displayed on the doors inner system being shown in holographic form, she used her specialized glove on her right hand and began to work her magic. Osiris was doing most of the work, integrating into the system, and she was simply making sure that any preventative measures were quickly suppressed and dealt with as priority. "Have a little faith," she jests, "I once use to be an angel, after all."

Right on time and the override was complete. "Let's get going boys." Osiris's fast humming slows to a light humming as the LED light of her eye piece returns to normal and the holographic display fades out. Sasha checks her SMG to make sure it's ready to fire in case of any surprise, one can never be too careful.

Thrace pauses to mull Tasha's words over in his mind, he was frowning slightly. After a few moments of thought, he looks her over, saying, "I don't know... how it was growing up for you... but... I didn't ever know my parents, they left me with my uncle when I was a toddler... he said they did it for my own good... which... I don't know if I can even judge that or not. All I know is, I wish I had known them, even if just to know Why they left me... Why they abandoned their own flesh and blood." Thrace shrugged slightly, "I doubt I'll ever know, I don't even know if they're still alive..."

Devon followed behind Chris putting away his weapon as he entered the room. "We won't be needing those." He walked past Sasha slightly pushing the tip of her SMG down. "Aye Milinda your money has arrived!" He looked around the dark room then instantly the lights flashed on. The nearly blinding light pierced his eyes as he attempted to cover them. After a few seconds of grinning Devon finally made out a large round shape figure appearing to settle in a seat in the room. "Devon! How are you, you ravishing cold blooded killer." This was Milinda Gathers A large somewhat weighted age women. She had her hand clasps and her legs crossed as though she was a business women."Milinda you look more...massive everytime I see ." Devon smirked to himself at the light insult as she gave him an devilish look. "Charmed am sure." She snorted rolling her eyes. "So let me just tell you the reason why your still alive. As you know my husband is a well known judge but he has been....unproductive as of late." Devon look at her inquisitively. "Unproductive?" He asked unsure of what she meant. "Lets just say 2 years from now I would have to fire my butler. The technicalities are none of your concern, all you must know is that with the Life Insurance credits i'll receive I will be able to have a butler until am 109. So get out and get me the check he is somewhere on Triton, probably squandering my money." Her face turned red at the thought growling and clinching her hands as if she was ready to fight. "So get your friends and end him." Devon smiled and looked at Chris and Sasha. "Well what say you guys?"

Although with her mask up no one could tell, she was grinning from ear to ear. "Doesn't get much funner than an old fashion man hunt! Any chance we can get his number or something so I can track him. Osiris will find him and we can handle this as quickly as possible." She was a bit elated at the thought of a hit contract. There was nothing quite as pleasing as hunting down someone and ending them before they even had a chance to beg...although beggars were her favorite type, and she always managed to make a lot more than she was suppose to by those who were willing to pay to stay alive. 'Nothing like putting a man in his place to make one feel a bit better about themselves' she thought as she glanced over at Chris and chuckled for a sec. "Where do we start?" She put her SMG away and thought about how much she favored the up close and personal approach on jobs like this.

Tasha looked sympathetic, and she squeezed his shoulders with an arm. "They abandoned you?" She practically whispered, and then shook her head ferociously. "No more sadness today. I forbid it.

"I think I know what will cheer you up! An old fashion game of Truth Or Dare! What say you? You can ask first."

She grinned and leaned back, waves of apprehension rolling through her. What would he ask her, tell her to do? She hoped it would cheer him up, anyways.

Thrace snorted and shrugged, "Alright... lets see... Truth or dare then I guess." He turned and sat up in his chair awkwardly, facing her now, a grin on his lips.

Tasha smiled. It seemed pretty darn silly, but this game was a great stress releaver. "Truth."

She sat back in her chair, little stabs of nervousness stabbing into her belly.

Thrace thought for a moment, mulling over the possible questions he could ask her, he shrugged and then asked, "Ever killed anyone before?" His face would display a neutral emotional state of slight curiosity, like the answer to the question wouldn't matter to him either way, just that he was asking it.

Thrace's brow raised and he whistled, muttering, "Probably the only person on the crew besides the kid that can say that... Ah... Truth I suppose." He leaned back in his chair, stretching.

"Hmmm.... Who did you like a year ago, and who do you like now?" And here she went again, slipping into her old school habits. She couldn't help it, it was the traditional question.

Chris slung the rifle over his shoulder. His glowing blue helmet faded and glowed orange. "Soo we just need to find this guy and 'liberate' him from his daily duties." A quick search filed down the left side of his helmet. "Well, I guess we should get moving."

Raising a brow, Thrace sighed, "Well, that's two questions... But... as for the first... A year ago I didn't really like anyone, I was in prison. As for now..." He shrugged, and then looked at her, "It certainly isn't the Miss Mahbed..." He grinned at her lightly, "Truth or dare?"

Thrace looked her over, and grinned after a moment, "Dare huh... Alright... I dare you to come closer." He knew the game, so he'd take his time at it, nudge his way through it. No sense in rushing to the end without playing first.

Tasha froze, and looked warily at him, but scooted closer, wondering what he was planning on doing. She perched on the arm of his chair.

"Close enough for you?" She teased. "Truth or dare?"

Devon smiled and started for the door. He took a quick peek on either side then satisfied with the results of no guards he exited the apartment. "Chris i like that choice of words hehe 'Liberate' we should use it more often." Devon stared down the hallway. Going back the way they came wasn't an option unless they were suicidal which was something he wasn't so he turned his head towards the opposite wall smiling. "THRACE!!! PICK UP THE COMM!"
