"Interesting," Okabe said. "Amber, you said this... Wyld of yours exists as a part of the universe, rather than an individual power. As such, have you been cut off from it by coming to a universe where the Wyld isn't present?" Kurisu nodded intently.


"Can you access the magic of this world now, too?" Kurisu said. Asriel shook his head.


"I don't think our magic acts like that. It comes from emotional energy, as well as the way we are built..." Asriel puts their chin in their hand. "I think..." He smiles. "But feel free to give it a shot.

"What is it that this telepath, this alien has done wrong, exactly?" The Doctor asked with both suspicion and curiosity in his voice "I mean, he did wander into this universe without a warrant but a lot of people have fallen through tears by accident."


"Stepping into this universe without a warrant or passport is still a crime. Accidental or not." The Judoon replied


"Do you even know what species they are?" The Doctor asked


"No."


"So, any alien could be this telepath." The Doctor added with some sarcasm


"Any alien without a warrant or passport, yes." The Judoon explained in a stubborn tone "Are you questioning my authority, Doctor?"


"No." Tesla butted in "He just wants to know what we're up against."


"Very well." The Judoon nodded in response

"Besides, you can't label them all criminals for that, can you?" Lilac added, in a slightly raised voice "That would be insane! It's not their fault, so why punish them for something they can't control?"

Link was running, running as fast as he could, Tael was hiding his hood of his jacket he never put down. Link didn't understand, he had been so careful! He had made sure that Zelda wasn't still following him when he changed into his everyday clothes then went back to the abandoned building they lived in. Apparently he hadn't been careful enough, so now he and the other orphans were running in separate directions from the police as they chased after them. Link turned his head back to see how far the officers were behind him, big mistake because that caused him to go through a tear that was in front of him just in time for it to close behind him.

Okabe held his chin thoughtfully. "That's odd. That could also be really bad. If the Wyld, an ethereal force of your world, is spreading across the universes through the tears, than that could hold true for similar types of forces." Kurisu and Okabe began to adopt a thinking-like pose. "For example, the attractor fields of my world may be drawing the world lines of other worlds closer in one way or another. Or perhaps the other way around. That likely couldn't end well..."


Kurisu sighed. "So we're going to need to be careful. There are surely helpful forces, but also dangerous ones. We need to be on the lookout for anything strange in universes where they shouldn't belong."

"It's possible," Okabe said thoughtfully. He waved his hands. "It isn't guaranteed. We're the geniuses on attractor fields in our universe, and even WE hardly understand them. For all we know, they do nothing to the other universes." He then glanced at Asriel. "Or, perhaps, they're helping. Frisk said that no matter how hard they tried, they could never save Asriel over here. It's possible the attractor fields pulled it to an attractor field where it IS possible to save Asriel. That could be a good thing, a bad thing, or maybe it has nothing to do with attractor fields." Kurisu butted in.


"The point is," she said, "that's just an example. We don't know if attractor fields are a force or not. But there could be something, similar to the Wyld of your universe, that has its genesis in another universe which is more malignant. If that's the case, it might be spreading similar to the Wyld."


"Of course," Okabe added, "it is always possible that you're misinterpreting the Wyld and that it isn't really as mystical as you think. Similar to God." Kurisu elbowed Okabe.


"While that would assuage a lot of fears, we have to assume the scenario holding the most danger so we're ready." They thought for a bit before Frisk piped up.


"Well... remember how I said Sans was originally in my world, then he wasn't? And Okabe, you were brought from a... world line where I wasn't there to one where I was. The tears can go into time." Frisk paused. "It's possible that someone's whole universe could change because of it, isn't it?"

Before the Judoon leader could say anything else The Doctor presented his psychic paper to him.


"Under director order of the Shadow Proclamation I'm invoking my special granted authority of...Emm...Well, you have to change that law. It says so right here."


The Judoon studied the psychic paper and let out an annoyed grunt, turning to face his men while The Doctor shot Carol, Lilac and Tesla a playful smile and wink, tapping himself on the nose.

Hero Prinny had been snacking on a sardine when he'd abruptly found himself back with Error and The Librarian. He dropped the sardine and stared at Error silently. Lilac had a big smile on her face as she watched the Judoon give in to the Doctor's request. Well, that was easy. Good thing the Doctor had the authority to do that.


Carol, on the other hand, was eyeing the Doctor suspiciously. She didn't want to screw anything up by bringing up her concerns, but she was trying to work something out. She waited for the Judoon to leave first.

As their conversation continued on, Amber was, instead of listening to them, thinking about the Attractor Fields. So they could just be universe specific. But they might not be. There was a chance that Armello was in danger.


But then again, it might not be. If there are many alternate universes, then there would be many more versions of her Universe than just her own, right? So in order for an Attractor Field to affect her world, a tear would have to happen to open up in her universe, linking to Okabe's. That possibility seemed extremely unlikely to her.


Still, she was worried. About that small chance that it could be happening.


"If an Attractor Field did manage to reach Armello - My Armello - would there be anything we could do to stop it?" She asked.

Okabe shrugged. "This is incredibly unconventional, so to be honest I'm not sure. If it affected Armello, than there would most certainly be a way to stop it. But how easy it would be and what we'd need to do? I'm not quite sure."


"Time," Kurisu said, "could very well be a multiversal constant, or it could work independently. For all we know, your time works the same as ours. Your universe could have been in an attractor field since the dawn of time, its time anyway. In that case, we may have simply knocked it out of that attractor field and into another one. There's no way to tell, then, whether that's a good or bad thing."


"If that isn't the case," Okabe interjected, "then there are two possible outcomes. Either your universe will become linked to our attractor field, or we'll establish attractor fields in your universe. I have no idea how the first one could work, but the solution to that could simply be closing the tear. If not, we could drastically change something that was changed as a result of the tear, and knock it back off the attractor field. That's pretty simple. That latter one is the most dangerous of them all." Okabe leaned back in his chair and thought. "We don't know for sure that all attractor fields MUST end badly. In fact, that doesn't really make sense. But if we do that, your universe will fall into the same situation ours is in. The only way to change attractor fields is to change something so drastic, there's no way the world can end up even remotely the same." Kurisu nodded whilst Okabe continued. "The only way I did it was by traveling through time repeatedly to stop an organization from getting their hands on a message, and another time by saving someone's life whilst stopping a research paper from being publicized. That's harder than it sounds, too."


Kurisu leaned forward. "We should emphasize that there's no way for any of us to know which is the case. Without time travel in your universe, you can't know. So there's no reason to panic. This is one of the few times I'm gonna suggest taking comfort in helplessness." She smiled. "And look on the bright side: we might have created an attractor field that guarantees a happy ending for your world. Just look at this universe."

"That makes sense," Asriel said. He looked over at Frisk. "Even if things could be turning out for the better, the feeling of not knowing what was supposed to happen... the feeling of a set destiny outside your control... it's terrifying." Frisk caught on and lowered their head, prompting Asriel to hug them. "I have no hard feelings, Frisk. I'm just glad it's over." Frisk nodded. Okabe continued nonetheless.


"We're hopping around the multiverse, no pun intended, in order to find a way to escape from the attractor fields once again and return to the Steins; Gate world line. Who knows? If we find a way, maybe we could share it and get both of our world lines back on track again."
