Okies, posted. I would have posted earlier, but Real Life and all. And sorry if that latest post isn't as polished as I would like (I'm fighting another headache).


As I mention in the post, I don't want Taniya to automatically or "magically" know that Zaile is so very distracted (while Taniya is regularly checking on her squadmates, it's not like she's riding in Zaile's machine or anything). So, I guess I'm trying to say that if you both want the scene, let's keep it, and if not, feel free to disregard it.

@Beowulf, I was about to give you and @Sohisohi a nudge to see if you wanted to post something. You are currently on your way to Anton-17, protecting a large convoy of supplies and men. If you have the skill Detect Ambush, please roll it If not, roll a d20 for Perception.


 
@Beowulf don't forget that you can have both the airburst rounds and the sabot rounds. You have a total of 75 shots in each arm, so if you want to have 20 shots sabot and the rest airburst, you can. It just takes an action to switch between the two kinds of bullets.


Or, you can just have all airburst rounds. They are good against all kinds of targets.
 
Thats fine with me. I still would like to get a d20 roll from you for a perception check.

For those who might not know, this is Max Sterling, the human Veritech ace of the RDF. And he's always had blue hair! I have always wondered why (but hey, it's an anime after all!).


So... in some alternate universe, is there a Zaile Sterling running around? Hee hee!
 
I am trying not to move too quickly to give everyone time to get their posts in. So, I'm holding on @Epiphany and @Sohisohi to give me some rolls before posting what you may or may not see. Depends on what the dice say.

Yes, I forgot Max Sterling has blue hair. But yes, it's totally anime in that respect. I'm fairly sure I remember from the novels that humans tended away from unnatural colors especially after Zentraedi contact so they could more easily tell the aliens apart. But the idea of a Zaile Sterling is greatly amusing...though she'd be a year or two old at this point... <.<

And I just realized... Two of the most-valuable skills in this style of combat, and I forgot to get either! Detect Ambush and Detect Concealment! Rats!!
 
That's not it. As long as I've been playing Palladium, I've known to keep that skill around on combat characters. It's like not taking Boxing... I guess I'm so used to Cody having it that I somehow missed it on Taniya. Besides that, Taniya's trying to lead by example (good job!).


Oh well. In other news, I've updated Taniya's character sheet making her 27 years old and I added a gear tab (waiting on approval from Sherwood).
 
I see no problems with the gear you want. As for the skill, you'll be able to pick it up on your next level if you choose.

Also, if I was not clear, @Epiphany you have a split second to declare an action based on your gut instincts that the road has been mined to halt the convoy where it is now.
 
I could use a reality check; I'm not a soldier IRL nor have I any real experience with it (beyond enjoying the Robotech books). I assume alerting the squad's reflexive enough. Does the RDF have a 'confirm your targets are hostile' policy before firing or does no one care if I pull the trigger on what could be nothing?
 
First off, you are in hostile territory. Second, you did make your ambush roll well enough to spot the plant life and camo netting used to visually conceal the attackers, and with the disturbed road in front of you, it was designed to make the convoy stop at this spot to get shot at.


Finally, great roll with that critical strike. It was perfect timing.
