Tales of the RDF - OOC

Just out of curiosity, which of my weapons is relatively quiet? I'm assuming the autocannons are right out. Do particle beams make a lot of noise? My backup weapon, my 20mm laser turret is probably completely silent (assuming Robotech lasers operate at all like actual lasers) but they're also very low-powered.


What would Zaile know is relatively noiseless?
 
Your particle cannons are (relatively) quiet, but you suspect that any weapon fire in here will raise an alarm.
 
How close are we to them? Is melee a possibility?
 
Yes. You are within 50-60 feet of the two guards, well in your range to move forward and attack hand to hand.
 
I really doubt we are going to be able to take them both out via melee without one of them sounding an alarm of some sort, but hey, at least we're trying! =)
 
@Sherwood The second warrior's weapon (the guy Eric Bell just nailed) - where is it, please?
 
It is on the ground a short distance away from the guard.
 
Wow. Count me impressed. I knew it was just a pair of light armor-wearing soldiers, but I was nearly certain one of them was going to get a shot off or a shout or grenade... something... =)

Hey, Zentraedi are raised strictly segregated by gender and the genders don't get along with each other. ;)


I find it amusing that Zaile is significantly more comfortable with human men than she is with males of her own species. But then, there's a bit of genetic programming that discourages Zentreadi from getting too close to each other...

My apologies. I'm almost about to hit the sack here - did Zaile's shots hit the MPA or miss? He tries to dodge; I get that - was he successful? If not, how badly did Zaile get him for? =)
 
I had to enter the post to be able roll the dice. He got hit by the attack and took 70 MDC damage.

@Sherwood Sorry, I seem to have lost track, or at least I think I did. We're in a hallway and there's a doorway ahead of us, leading to the fold engine? And there are mecha in there? Or are they behind us and trying to catch up to keep us from moving on?
 
You are in a hallway that leads to the chamber with the fold space motor. The two MPA suits were standing guard out in the hallway. Connor has picked up radar tracks with his Defender showing that there are at least four more mecha in the chamber with an unknown number of Zentraedi that are not in any powered armor. The heavy footsteps you hear are from inside the large room.
 
I hadn't wanted Eadric in the doorway. He'd intentionally left room for people to move in past him if they wanted (specifically Taniya and Zaile) which means there ought to be at least a mecha-sized gap between his Spartan and the doorway. How does that lead to him being "literally" face to face with someone?


If they ran out after/during his turn, that's one thing, but that doesn't match my reading of the initiative order.
 
They were charging out at you guys as you went forward.
