Tales of the RDF - OOC

I live! Mostly. Sebastian was born on tax day indeed, 9 pounds and 7 oz...which would have undoubtedly been very painful to deliver had it not been a c-section. Which wasn't our first choice (it was actually our dead last choice) but with a frank breech, what can you do.

Very long rough 4 days in the hospital. Healing is going okay. Sebastian's not sleeping more than an hour or so. I was fine the first day. Dragging the second. Now that I'm on day 5, I'm quietly contemplating abandoning breast feeding for formula and I've utterly given up on sleeping without him (even though it's potentially risky) because he won't sleep at all unless he's basically on me. So I sleep in a recliner or in a sea of pillows that keep me from moving and...

...and I don't really need to dump on you guys about it. :) Suffice to say, it's a thing in progress.

I may try to catch up on the RP thread tomorrow. I honestly don't know if I have the brainpower for it. But I'm still around and I'll join in when I can. Play on in the meantime!

Pips, you're not dumping, you're sharing, and that means a lot. Strike me up on a Conversation if you want to share more. Being a guy, I have no idea what it's like to have a kid, and the more you write, the more you get it out of you. Writing is healing. =)

As for RP, return to this when you are ready and not a minute before - you just had a baby, lady! =) Besides, this isn't a job, it's a game. We'll be here.

Like I've been saying for years now, Pips - Real Life Always Comes First. =)

Honor and fun,

Dann =)

Glad to hear that you and the little one are doing well. I have fond memories of my own daughter at that age, and my efforts to get used to life with a tiny human in it. You will quickly come to a point in your life where you can't imagine living without him.

Congrats to you and your family on its newest member! :D I've never had kids, but I've heard stories from those who did. And like Dann, if you need or want to write about it, feel free to start a Conversation :) I hear they sleep more as they get older. Here's hoping it's soon enough for you to catch up on your rest!

Alerts stopped working for some reason.

I'll have a post up later tonight. Sorry for the delays.

I can't speak for alerts but man this first month has been an adjustment period!

Things are starting to get more sane, though. I'll try to catch up on the game, pronto. :)

I am. I'm sorry. Had a lot of family emergency stuff (with my mother-in-law, not with the baby boy thankfully).

Hopefully I'll catch up later today or this weekend. :)

@Epiphany No worries, Pips! Real Life Always Comes First, good lady. Take care of your mom-in-law first; the game will be here (even if for a welcome distraction - such is the power of a good role-playing game like this one). =)

Thanks for all the positive responses, Pips! Great to see you posting with us again. We kinda like having you around.

Also, just a bit of a warning to anyone that knows the city of Rio well: I have almost no clue as to what the real city is like, nevermind the changed city that has gone through the Zentraedi bombardment and reconstruction. So! If I come up with a city feature that is totally out of place to those that know Rio better than I do, forgive me and my ignorance. At least I can admit to what I don't know, right?

I've never been to Rio.

Though I wouldn't object if someone wanted to take me to Rio Rio...

And thanks, boss. :) Nice to have enough room to breathe and energy to read and post!

Haven't seen anything from Dano in a while. Hopefully everything is ok for him.

It seems that things are ready for me to move forward. New post will be up, probably tomorrow, to give everyone a chance to pipe in with a comment.

Neither have I. RpN says the last time he was logged in was the 19th of April. I hope he's all right, too; it's almost never good when someone up and vanishes like that.

How dare you choose a Real Life baby over your gaming life like that?! Er, I mean, uh, way to go Sherwood! 8D

Chris Rock: "You're supposed to, you dumb--" =)

@Sherwood I meant to mention this prior to our leaving (my mistake): I wanted to get either one or two T-9 12.7mm pistols for Taniya for this vacation? I thought her going around with her twin SMGs wasn't a good idea. Is this still possible?
