Tales of the RDF - OOC

Right. The FPA Dorsey dropped went down first and only a Malcontent in a damaged Officer's Pod made it out.

I went back, making sure I was right, and it was me. I think. I'm not sure anymore. I'm going to think it was me until proven otherwise.

I went back, read posts, the FPA flew up, Connor aimed at it with tungsten rounds, rolled a 19 for accuracy and not sure what the damage was, and the FPA dropped. I think it was page, assuming we're on 19 because I can't be bothered to look, it was on page 18. First post of the page.

Correction, since I now bother to check, it's at the top of page 19, because we are on page 20. And good night, my eyes are starting to close.

"OI!" Connor shouted, which isn't exactly necessary come to think of it, into the comms. "Doc, that FPA that got shot down, I think the pilot might still be kicking. If she is, she'll need some medical attention. I'll cover you." And with that, he grabs his personal SMG, because you can't really fit anything bigger then that into the given space, and hits the button to open the hatch with a fist. His first time out of a Destroid in a battlefield like situation. He really hoped there wasn't anything with bad intentions looking at him.
Whoa there, good Beo. The first FPA to go was targeted by Dorsey (page 18, Robotech - Tales of the RDF']Entry #445[/url])

Starting out, Doug calls out on the radio, "I'm targeting the first FPA with a missile barrage. Let's see how the new Tomahawk does in a fight!" He opens up his missile pods and launches a salvo of six short range missiles at the first malcontent unit. His shot goes straight and true, making the FPA blow up in a single hit.
That FPA should be in little bitty pieces (since FPA's don't come with reinforced pilot's compartments). Plus, the pilot Connor seemed to want to capture with his S.D.C. submachinegun is a 40 foot tall Mega-damage giant (all Malcontent mecha that we've encountered so far seem to have been made for full-size Zentraedi). In the story thus far, the only mecha piloted by human-sized pilots are made by humans.

In other words, I think the pilot is quite dead and even if she weren't, it wouldn't be a good idea to hop out of your mech and try to capture her with something less dangerous to her than a squirt gun. Please be careful. =)

@Sherwood Is this correct? I'm pretty darned beat myself and might have gotten something mixed up.

Sleep well, Beo!

Our goal is to capture the High Lord, not to make a martyr of her. Now, from what we have seen, she has a cadre of elite troops around her at all times that will fight to the death to protect her. Don't hesitate to use lethal force to take down her escort. Any questions?"
Wait, wait, what? Major Lang himself replied to Eadric when he asked about Selena in in-game Entry #430. Here is what he told us in Entry #431.

"No. We do know that she has never submitted to being micronized, so she is still in her full size. I should not have to say that she is a priority target, and any and all effort must be made to take her out. I don't see it being possible for anyone to bring her in alive, and I suggest that you don't try. She is dangerous and slippery as a serpent, and is the driving force behind the Malcontents. If we remove her, the rest of the forces will flounder with no leader, and hopefully stop this pointless aggression against us."
So, yeah. I am mighty confused here. The major is warning us to do one thing and some lieutenant we just met is saying another. What's going on, please?

The lieutenant has different goals than the major. You can bring it up to him and see what he says.

Okies! Thanks for clearing that up. =)

The cuteness continues! Thanks, Kaerri-darlin'! =)

@Sherwood When it comes to chain of command, I know enough about how the Real Life United States military works, but I am wondering about this situation here in the RDF - Are we supposed to be following this Preston at all? He hasn't identified where he's from, he has no ties to BSURP Anton-17, hell he doesn't even know who our CO is.

Meanwhile... @Epiphany Look! It's an alert for Pips (just in case she's not getting them again; which has probably happened to all of us by now). =)

Folks, I was looking for some kind of silly alert, so I did a Google search for "Silly Warning" and this popped up. I laughed out loud and hope you do too! =)

I've been monitoring things but haven't really seen an opportunity to post yet since we seem to be waiting for orders to proceed.

Preston is not in your immediate chain of command at Anton-17. He is a member of the RDF armored cavalry, and as such, is one of the officers in charge of the ground attack.

Heya folks! I meant to post recently, but...

Real Life = Muhammed Ali

Me = Dude Lyin' On Da Flo'

(Work has been heavy, plus I came down with a fever, cough, and I'm suffering from exhaustion). Just another day in the life of your Friendly Neighborhood Hyperkinetic Dannigan! Have fun until next. =)

I will post as... well... as soon as I reasonably can post something worth posting (tomorrow, I hope!). =)

Thanks for the update. Hope you feel better soon, but just take all the time you need to get back on your feet.

RPN's alerts getting unhooked is driving me nuts...I might have to turn email notifications back on at this rate...

Go on without me, I don't have time to write up a post until Saturday at least and I don't want such a small fight held up just for me :) Eadric can be watching our backs or something.

Yeah, if the situation isn't settled then place Connor right at the end since, as I've stated in my post, he's in the back.
