There is no way in heck Connor only has a +4 to hit. Here's my math for Connor's current Strike bonus:

+6 (Connor's P.P. bonus)

+2 (Hand to Hand: Martial Arts at 4th level)

+1 (Defender Mecha Elite Combat Training skill bonus)

+3 (SHORAD bonus for the Defender's own guns. See "3. Sensors of Note" under the Defender's Weapon Systems.)

+2 (The "enhanced sensors" bonus provided to entire squadron (of which he is certainly a part of) when active. See the paragraph immediately following the SHORAD description under the Defender's Weapon Systems. Connor brought these up right before the right.)

+14 = GRAND TOTAL

@Sherwood? How does that math look?

Looks correct to me. Not that it mattered; the FPA rolled a 5 to dodge. But in the future, those bonuses will be critical, especially with the auto dodge that the battle pods have.

Beowulf. Oh, I'm not getting on you or anything; I just want you to enjoy what's accurate for your character, friend. I can't just sit here and see you Pew-pewing at +4 and not say something. =)

Hey Sherwood? Would Taniya have a strong idea about how much M.D.C. the AA battery aiming at her has? I'd like to launch a salvo at it, but I'd like to launch a practical amount.

Yes. It is a human design, and has a total of 75 MDC

Thanks!

Are you dodging our using the chaff?
I just told Kaerri that she didn't roll. She'll do so here as soon as Real Life allows. =)

Ok. Not a problem. It's not like the storyteller forgot a to hit roll here, too.

I assumed it was just "behind the screen." :D

Dodging, twice since it's two volleys. Sorry for the ambiguity and the lack of dice!

You only need to make one dodge roll, so I'll take the first roll, which means you evade the missiles.

(EDIT: This post should have gone here instead of IC. Posting While Tired! It's fun-fun-fun! =) )

So... Beo we've got Connor's back...

Hey! Yesterday evening, Epiphany's account became active for the first time since 22 Dec 2015, so I shot her a Conversation. As of right now, the Conversation wasn't read. I don't know what's up on her end, but it was good to see her icon active, if only for a little while. =)

We miss you, Pips! =)

Yeah, I sent her a message, too. Hopefully @Epiphany will rejoin the game and regale us with tales of her trip.

I do in fact live. Trip was fantastic. Losing my job, not so much. Just got another, nursery is set up and only a month to go before my son arrives. Good times! Sorry life has been so crazy. Give me a day to read and catch up and I'll bound back into action at the right juncture. :)

Welcome back. Now someone tell me if I'm doing my dodges right before I post, and what my bonus is since I know it's not what I put previously.

Welcome back! We missed you. Hope all stays sane on the home front!

Let me check your sheet and add up your numbers. I'll let you know your totals inside and out of your mecha.

Sherwood, re: Connor's current dodge bonus. Does that include the +1 dodge bonus from his Defender's squad-wide sensors (SHORAD)?

Pips! Welcome back (aloha, if you will)! Sorry to hear you lost your job; that has to be stressful on a mom-to-be, especially when you're on your first. Glad you have a new job and I hope it beats the first one! Also, I'm so happy you had a wonderful vacation in Hawaii! I'm glad you're all right, though. I was a bit worried about you (I'm like that). When someone stops logging in, I'm well aware that it could be for a number of reasons, including death. And if that's the case, the folks left behind here might never be informed by family, friends, etc. I don't mean to sound the cynic; I just know well that life is full of certain realities and it's wise to be aware (and prepared if possible) for them all.

But enough of that. Take your time reading up! Thanks for logging back into have fun here again.

We missed you, Pips! =)

Thanks! And aloha indeed. We spent most of a week on the big island and it was the most relaxing time perhaps ever in my life. Exactly what I needed. The volcanoes were amazing, took a huge tour around the island and saw the sights. And spent a lot of time in a pool or in a hammock. Mmmmm.

I knew I was getting laid off at the end of December. I just didn't realize it'd take so long to get hired (though compared to many, I had it pretty easy). I'm delighted, though, to start a telecommuting job that will let me work from home. Which will make life vastly easier, not just in this last 6 weeks of pregnancy but after the kid's born too. Training starts next week and I'm only a little nervous about it; I've spent the last 11 years at the same company and starting somewhere new is a bit intimidating. Still, should be interesting at least.

Very sorry for worrying you guys. The online life often doesn't provide a lot of answers when people poof, I know. I'll try to be less poofy. :) And if you've got room for Zaile, she looks forward to kicking ass with the Red Pandas!

Pips, Zaile's spot was never removed (Taniya would have had something to say about that if it had). Honestly, replacing Zaile has never come up. I think we expected to hear something sooner or later. As for being poofy, yes please just drop us a line if you're going to be gone for a time. I don't think any of us require details and we all know Real Life Always Comes First. I'm just glad you're O.K. =)

You might have noticed we have new mecha? Check the items tab for some seriously new goodies! Beowulf's character has stayed with his old-style Defender (because it rocks!), Kaerri's character upgraded to a newer version of the Spartan mech, and Taniya and Dorsey (our newest NPC after the NPC Renner quit the team) are piloting the brand-new RDF Officer's Pod and the new Tomahawk, respectively. Knowing Sherwood, I think it's very likely that Sherwood will ask you what kind of machine Zaile would like. Also knowing him, he's likely to get you into the action as soon as is practical. He's cool like that. =)
