Tales of the RDF - OOC

I imagine Kaerri would be much happier and caring toward that Malcontent if he were not trying to aim a missile launcher at us, but hey! That's his choice in life. =)

Unless he rolls a natural 20 to dodge it, I think you do too. =)

The natural 1 on a perception check means you aced it. You have to roll under the target number to succeed there.

I'll be darned! I'll take your word for it (because I've not seen the d20 Perception check in Palladium and therefore I have no experience with it except here).

I'm used to using the old Hero system roll where you have to get equal to or under the target number. So, you just nailed that perception roll. What else do you want to know?

Hero system? You mean, this?

Is it a straight roll or do any of our attributes assist with the Perception rolls?

That's the one. It is a great game system. I will either assign a difficulty number, or base the target off of your iq. That number works out as your stat divided by five plus nine, giving Taniya a base 13- to do succeed on a casual roll.

Sherwood, thank gosh you're using this style of Perception check; Taniya's rolling so low on these that she'd be lucky to realize she was in a destroid at all. Heh! =)

"That is not your radar, Connor - it is your smartphone! Someone is asking if you want to buy a condo? Never been used; only nuked once!" =)

Well, Taniya made her roll, but I want to give Eadric a chance to post before describing what you spot.

I have been thinking of taking a page from Pathfinder and letting everyone add a point to a pair of attributes every for levels. I know that the stat boost in the other game is only a single point, but in Robotech there are more stats to work with, and the physical skills you can get as you level up only add to your physical capabilities and not your mental ones. The only restriction to this is you cannot raise any attribute above 30 this way.

Well, I remember you let us do it in the Army of the Southern Cross game. I backed it then. I back it now.

Besides, some attributes (M.E., M.A., I.Q., P.B.) are either rare or downright impossible to raise with skills.

Sounds good to me. And thanks for waiting for me! I've posted now.

Question for Sherwood. The Veritechs are able to mount their GU-11 gun pod on their forearms. Does the Spartan also have this option?

The description of the Spartan doesn't say, but I'll go ahead and say that the gun pod can do so.

The Zentraedi rifle fires a five round burst that does 1d10x10+20 and there is enough ammo for 20 shots. Range is 4,000 feet.

Here is a bit of surprising info. After doing some more reading of the main rule book, I have found that Armor Piercing missiles do triple damage on a critical strike, not double like a regular crit. I'll update the missile chart with this.

I just realized something about Epiphany. Perhaps the reason she's not playing is her pregnancy? Talk about Real Life Always Comes First! =)

True, true. I do hope she comes back, though. A spot will always be here for her.

So, how many points do I give for being responsible for taking down a destroyer?
