Ok, I'm back from my trip. It was a fun time in the snow, but I am glad to be home. I'll have a IC post up in a little bit.
 
I think that @Epiphany may be off line for a bit; I know she was talking about heading out on a trip. She will be in reserve until she gets back.

Out of three rolls to hit, two roll under a four and miss automatically. Hopefully that has gotten them out of the way and your luck will improve!
 
I saw Dannigan's, whose was the other under 4?


Also, I don't seem to have the Weapon Systems skill. >.< Could I use Weapons Engineer to fix it instead?
 
Well, I rolled...I think it's going to take me longer than one round at this rate. :P
 
You still have the rest of your payload; it's just those four missiles that are giving you headaches.
 
Heya Sherwood? Re: In-game entry #311. A 13 was rolled to strike. Why did that roll result in a missile launch failure, Bubba?
 
Because I'm an idiot and switched the to hit roll with the initiative roll, that's why. (TAT) to fix this, I'll have to do some storyteller magic. Obviously the missiles would have hit, and Connor would have hit one of the other pods, and with his damage roll and as needed up as they are at the moment, it would have destroyed it.


I'll go ahead and keep the initiative order unchanged since it was my mistake that gave such a good placement, and I'll take out pod 1 from th he line up.
 
I have long felt that everyone makes mistakes; it is all in how ones handles it when they happen. So you goofed. So what? I think your solution (both quick and fair) shows how good of a storyteller you are, Sherwood. Thanks, you! =)

No worries. I'm getting ready to take the family to church, so I'll be gone for a while myself.
 
With the holiday, I'm sure that everyone is busy with family. I'll nudge the fight forward sometime this weekend once everyone is starting to get back to normal.

@Beowulf Hey, you! Connor has more than a +5 to Strike in his Defender, doesn't he?


Here's my math: +6 (Connor's P.P. bonus) +2 (Hand to Hand: Martial Arts at 3rd level proficiency) +1 (Mecha Elite Combat Training Bonus to strike also at 3rd level proficiency) +3 (the Defender's SHORAD systems) = +12 to strike.


Furthermore, Connor can provide an additional +2 to the whole team's strike rolls (himself included) by rolling Read Sensory Instruments while in the Defender due to that mech's enhanced sensors.


So, that 10 you rolled to strike should total to 22, not 15, shouldn't it?
 
0_0 Thank you. I'm not good with the whole bonuses to my roles thing. And who wants a bonus to their aiming next turn since I already used mine this turn?
 
A 22 should hit, unless the pod gets a good dodge roll. Let's see.
