Tales of the RDF - OOC

I didn't think of it until I was going over Eadric's character sheet, but could he make use of his Fortification skill to find the nearest place that's safe from a sniper? Because that skill is basically for the creation of such places, I would guess he's got at least some knowledge of what terrain is already suitable.

Also, HP roll!

Go ahead and give it a shot. You are at some minuses due to the open ground, but something might just pop up.

Everyone's running around and Connor's like "What are you all freaking out about?" though due to my roll he should be more aware of it then some others.

I am a little confused. Is there someone or something we are waiting on in the in-character thread? Initiative, perhaps? We've rolled Perception and our characters' actions are happening, but what is the next step in the story, please? =)

I was trying not to push the story ahead too quickly. At the moment, you have a gunman hidden on a small rise, and a wounded man bleeding out. Everyone is huddled down behind a large truck that does happen to have a radio to call for assistance from Anton-17.

That's why we're a team. =) "Teamwork makes a dream work" (original source unknown). =)

Just to let everyone know; I'll be leaving town next week from Thursday evening to Monday afternoon and away from any internet access. Heading up to the mountains in Utah to spend some time in the snow with my two year old niece at my aunt's cabin. For a lifelong desert rat like myself, the snow will be a wonderful thing to see.

Yaaaaaaaaay! Sherwood gets to see some snow! I hope it's the good, crunchy kind you can make nice snowballs out of. Bring your hot chocolate, binoculars, and camera (especially for those beautiful starry nights). Have fun! =)

It's not like I have to shovel a driveway, so a few days of snow time shouldn't get me down.

Last I heard (and as always, I'm open to correction) and in all the years we've known each other, Sherwood has yet to see serious snow (especially mountain-snow). Is that right?

I think you're in for a treat, Sherwood! =)

You're not going to like it. You say you will, but then you'll realize how cold it is and not like it.

I did spend six long months in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where I did get the fun of winter weather before coming back home to Vegas the day before Christmas. So yes, I have dealt with snow enough to realize it's fun to visit but not to live in 24/7. This will be a nice break from home for a few days, and we get to show my niece the white stuff for the first time ever.

Have a marvelous time with that trip. ;)

I, on the other hand, am headed to Hawaii this Friday for the next week. 80 degree weather and beaches in December...mmm...

I'm jealous. My wife went there a few years ago, and she tells me it's beautiful.

Aloha, Pips! Have a grand time! *Gives the "Shaka" Hang-loose hand-sign and smiles* =)

Cha-cha, the shakalaka.

It's a babymoon, our last easy trip before I get too huge with my first kid (due in April). I'm very much looking forward to it, though needless to say I won't be posting much from Friday until next Thursdayish. ;)

Congrats on expecting the baby. I'm a dad of a seventeen year old, and foster parent to my two year old niece, so I know all the fun you are looking forward to.

As far as the posts over the next few weeks, I don't expect much action in the game until after Christmas. Just don't let this game fizzle, guys! I have too many cool plans in mind for all of you.

I'll keep the fires burning as Real Life allows! *throws mega-damage logs and sets them ablaze with the Red Panda Squadron mecha flamethrowers* FOOM! 8D
