While Taniya's duty requires that her utmost attention be upon the prisoners, Connor's laughter did not go unnoticed. Heh! =)
 
Well, my track record isn't so good right now, I haven't been on the computer in almost a week. ( :P ) Sorry folks, I'll try to do better.
 
Taniya's character sheet is updated. Of course, I roll a 1 on the bonus P.P. roll from Acrobatics (oh, those ones...). Oh well! =)

@Beowulf Hey Beo! I think Taniya just gave Connor a roleplaying opportunity! Ha ha! 8D
 
You can include you going to Barbara to get her assistance with the task in your post; she is quite willing to help.
 
Beo, Barbara doesn't have to be Connor's only pick either - Taniya purposely chose the word "squadmates" to assist Connor. The door is open if you want to include, heck, the rest of the team (The Kid, Zaile, Kevin, and Eadric - make it a group effort). From what I can tell, this is going to be a "hard sell" so I recommend bringing in anyone who will help (even Elyana, Zaile's scientifically-inclined wife). Plus, it's a great opportunity to show what the team can do together outside of their mechs.


As Taniya's player, I'll let you in on this: Taniya doesn't believe that Connor is honestly making a joke at her expense by requesting the red panda be the squadron's name, but she cannot allow anything short of effectiveness. So, while the red panda doesn't have to be a raging wolverine, it sure as hell had better not be a Jigglypuff, know what I mean? Ha ha! =)


Taniya's looking for a squadron name or idea that she and her team can be proud of. It would be nice if the Malcontents saw the image and shuddered, but it would be disgraceful if they saw it and laughed! This, above all things, is what Taniya is looking to avoid.


So... By sharing this inside look into Taniya's head, I'm also wishing you luck as well as success (because you write some damn good posts that I can relate with. This line still has me chuckling: "...one word was flying through his mind. 'Shit.' Over and over again this word appeared, and did not leave until Taniya finished her announcement." Ha ha! That's certainly how I'd feel if I were in Connor's boots!). Because when the presentation/argument is made, I'm going to do like I always do and let my character tell me what to type while I sit back and watch the fun.


Taniya wants to be convinced, but it's Connor who must do the convincing (or at the very least we start all over again). Thanks for going along with all this, Beo! You're pretty cool! =)
 
Heya folks! Please be patient with me; I've come down with some kind of bug (coupled with a migraine). I will post when able (I really want to, but I need to do it right). Hope all of you are in good health! =)

How do you guys want to handle the squad meeting? Are we going to hold off on it until @Dannigan is feeling up to posting from Taniya's point of view?
 
If @Beowulf wants to actually connect with Zaile and the wife, that's cool. If he feels up for writing up a presentation for kicks, that's cool too. If Barbara ends up actually delivering it due to player comfort, it's all good.


Taniya's reaction is worth waiting for but I suspect we can probably move on to the actual squad presentation if nothing else. ;)
 
Acute bronchitis (gained through interaction with a co-worker)! That's what has me feeling so very blasted and weak all this time. =)

I have the next couple of days off from work, so time is with me for the moment. =) I'll write up a scene and when Beo and everyone are ready, post away? There have been a couple of little things Taniya has been wanting to do for a little while now for the team and this is probably going to be her only opportunity. Of course, if this somehow throws a wrench into things, I'll strike the scene and we can go with something else. =)


In other news, I was all looking forward to my first full-night's sleep since this bronchitis started, and hey, it was looking good! Oh boy! The migraines are gone! The coughing is at a minimum! I'm nice and tired and ready to sleep and... my hyperactive mind won't shut down to save my life... ADHD for the win!


And so, I write... =)
 
I seem to recall that Kevin Renner is from San Francisco (or he was there when he lost is family, or something connecting that wonderful city and him). I went looking through our IC threads and Kevin's character sheet, but I can't find it for sure.


Given the post I just wrote, I'm going to feel a little goofy if I've screwed that up (because Taniya wouldn't have; she's not the one recovering from being ill. Hee hee). Well, if I did screw up, then oh well! I gave it my best and that's what's important to me. And if I didn't screw it up, then hey! I've got a decent memory given this past week of ick. =)


That said, I think I'm going to try to get some sleep now. That post, if nothing else, was a good place to put my energy. Take care, folks! =)

No, I should thank you for letting me do what I enjoy so much. Without any players I couldn't have a have to run.
