Tales of Salisonia :: Reboot :: [Inactive]

It took more time than they had expected but Jack and Miri had finally finished burying the bodies of friends. It was a painful experience for them both, burying the bodies of those they shared stories with, those who always gave them a place to stay should things go south. This place was also Pierrot's main source of finding books, since the ones found in Bran were simply much too expensive. Nevenarius was where Jack had found first love, although the chance to express it has passed. He couldn't mistake that corpse for anyone else's, he buried it himself. At the very least they buried those who were their friends, and that accounted for a percentage of the population.

It was strange, however, that the military was not able to respond to such an occurrence so close to the Capital. A rogue thought entered his mind as he considered the possibility of intentional mass murder, that someone higher up had willed for this to happen and had taken steps to ensure that it does happen regardless of circumstance. The question was, if that was possible, who could stand to gain from staging a killing near the Capital and also weakening some of the outlying settlements and village? To Jack's best knowledge, none of the influential families could gain anything nor even care about what happens outside their scope of intrigue and infighting. Perhaps this was simply one of those unlucky days.

"Let's just go and complete your errand Miri, it'll still be a long trek home."

Jack had just finished reciting a prayer for those they knew that recently departed for the afterlife. Bran was within reach now and it would help to have the elf place her mind elsewhere. The old wounds she felt as she saw her parents die a few years back may have been reopened, Jack knew that this place was a second home for the both of them and the gravity of the murder may weigh heavier on her than anyone else. Jack just couldn't accept that this was a random killing, it was close to the capital and yet none of the guard arrived. He also wanted to question Miri as to why she didn't dive into the fight, but felt that that would be a question better asked at a later time. This time Jack took the lead and headed toward Bran, their original destination. The town they left behind them would never be the same no matter how many times they rebuild it, no one was ever going to create a swill like the Neven Brew which Jack loved so much.

Since John had left Arenam rummaged through the rest of his bag checking his supplies, Arenam still had some food and water and plenty of arrows for a couple of journeys, he wasn't worried about food as he could easily find something to eat outside of Bran. Arenam looked at the jar of money he had, he was told by merchants that it was a good amount but they couldn't tell exactly, however Arenam wasn't confident that this would be enough money to pay John. Arenam's village was still in the old ways of trading one item for another so the elder didn't realise that they would have to pay the scholar in coins, Arenam needed cash quickly.

Arenam looked at the leftover glass of wine, Arenam had never had alcohol before but he was curious what it was like, he took a small sip and then took a large mouthful, he scrunched up his face, it certainly wasn't his favourite drink. Arenam grabbed the bottle and the now empty glass and walked up to the bar to place it there, while he was walking over he noticed a sheet of paper lying on a table, the only part that caught his eye was Reward: 100, 000, 00 G.

Arenam grabbed the sheet and read through the whole thing, he looked at the girl who had the sheet of paper on her table and pointed at the reward "this, is this a lot, I need to know now" Arenam asked, he needed to get this reward quickly.

A man approached Elvsyr and pointed at the flyer while saying "This, is this a lot, I need to know now." Taking a final big gulp of her beer, she sat the mug down on the table.

"It depends. Are you rich? This could still be said to be a lot for a richer person, but not always. In general, though, yes. This is quite a lot." With a sigh, Elvsyr began to tap her fingers on the wooden table again.

Isil looked at the carnage, the flames and the destruction with such a dark expression that it did not even fit upon her features. Those normally twisted into a caring smile was curled to a frown. It was...sad. No area, no people nor anything deserved to be left in such a way like this... She shook her head softly, white hair swaying around her head before she glanced to Prae.

Prae himself was looking at the exhausted human on the floor, his white eyes content with studying him as quietly as he ever was. Isil hurried over to the Vydaios, concern in her eyes as the Vydaios began to lightly hit the male with his hooves. Not enough to hurt anyone...just a light tap. Isil gave a small glare at Prae who simply snorted. He found that amusing you know!

She turned to her remaining guards, some having fallen in the attack and made a new order. "Collect everything that is ours. Bodies need to be buried and named." She called out, her mercury orbs staring tiredly at the mess. It was excruciating to even see! "So we can inform the families of those who are dead.." The guards looked between one another before hurrying off to do so.

Isil crouched down before settling upon her knees, ignoring the fact that her advisors would probably loose it at the simple fact she was going to speak to someone. Isil never once understood why she HAD to be different but it was a fact she was able to ignore. Easily might she add. She glanced over at the male who Prae previously assisted only to hit later on with concern. "You...are you alright?" She asked quietly.

A guard hurried over to her, crouching down before he whispered in her ear. Seconds later the woman nodded, waving her hand dismissively before she turned back to the exhausted man. "You fought really well without a weapon." She mumbled. She herself was often left out of anything related to that, it almost annoyed her if she wasn't so stuck doing work all the time. If she wasn't escaping from the castle for a bit this was the only time she had been out for.

"The only condition I have is that you promise to help us in our journey. As the king of Bran i was asked to go to Nevenarius and help with there situation. I may think i'm above all people but i'm not completely blinded, i know where my limits stand. Sure i have Bathelia with me but she can only carry me so far before she herself can't take the pressure. With more strength in our group i'm sure we can conquer the problem and take the money, of course our half will be going to Bran, but your half goes to you and your sister. I'm sure that will be fair and plentiful for you both, all i ask is that you do your best to protect me and fight well, i also ask that you consider to join with us and give me your loyalty. In other words become our ally and i promise only the best for you and your sister once we finish our quest and return safely to my kingdom."

Kaolin shifted as he said his piece. That was not the direction they were going. They were headed deep into the desert to find information that the tribes could tell them and if they agreed to this mans ‘deal’ they would be taking several steps backward in their journey. And though her curiosity was tugging at her something fierce she had made a promise…

Her gaze drifted to Keyin who had not seemed to have caught on to the fact that the fact that they were proposing something that erased all of their plans. She was most likely was thinking of a new place to explore.

Something hit her then.

Perhaps she should be thinking of this like her sister was: an opportunity. If she went with these travelers though she would lose time on her first lead of information this man’s travels would most likely lead them to other places where information could be gathered. She nipped her lip slightly in contemplation, eyes wandering the sand around them. The desert was not moving, she could come back and talk to the tribes again if need be.

Her decision made, she hesitantly moved her hand to unhitch the cloth over her face. It was a symbol of respect to her in a way, the act of revealing her full face in such a scenario. Though she did not keep her face covered when out of the desert at all times she had been rude to the man and showing ones facial features that had previously been covered conveyed some level of vulnerability as facial expressions often were the key to predicting ones movements among other things. And though she held no great respect for the man or his woman companion if they were to travel with them the key to coexistence would be some variance of respect.

“I accept your offer and conditions. We will travel with you and I will act on your behalf… for the time being. Once our trip to Nevenarious is complete my deal is kept. I will not be owing you permanent loyalty for such a small venture.” She declared, sharp fangs glinting in the sunlight as she spoke. She ignored the offer of traveling farther with him as that would be hazardous; a lot could change within a few days travel. She also would not be trapped into a life loyalty and she wanted to make that clear to him. “And if you attempt to harm my sister or put her in harm’s way in such a way I did not approve of I warn you, I will not hesitate in turning from my oath. I take my word very seriously, but if you cross me and my sister is involved I will make you very sorry to have met us in this desert.”

((Sorry, this isn't my best but it's better than putting it off))

He should have known better than to go so far as to make such a deal, Kaolin was use to living on her own and following no rules so of course the girl would not be happy or pleasant with the idea of following someone else. Especially since she didn't have a well or good thought on nobles such as himself, like most people she clearly thought of them as snobbish and she wasn't that far from the truth to be honest.

He thought over the arrangement and decided to agree with the girl and her conditions, though he knew when it went down to action most of the conditions had a possibility of being broken for he didn't have a good record of keeping his promises. "Well since i know its pointless to negotiate any further with such a stubborn girl as yourself, i have no other choice than to accept your conditions~"

He was happy with how things turned out, even though he didn't get a permanent situation with the Kahao girl, he still got a chance to see her skill up close and couldn't wait to test them out as they furthered there journey. He looked back at the area surrounding them, he really hated the dessert. There was nothing but sand and not much of life around that actually held some intelligence, he was relieved they were going to leave.

"I almost forgot, My name is Zilocke and the one following me is Bathelia. I believe you two will have plenty to talk about, you two have some similarities." He looked at the two Kahao women and purposely forgot to add that they also had great differences. He was feeling better, soon hoping for some kind of negative interaction between the two Kahao women.

He looked at Bathelia and rubbed the back of his neck as he sighed softly, he looked at the Gazelle and studied her for a moment before speaking. "Bathelia, i'll be walking ahead of the group, please see that these two are in the middle and you are positioned in the back." With that he turned knowing the other wouldn't argue with his wishes and rested his hand on the handle of his sword, which was belted to his waist. He walked ahead of the group, giving them time to associate but mostly he wanted to be alone for awhile.

He had things to think about and wasn't going to be interrupted by the Kahao women, he wondered what had happened to the village that was attacked by Stailers. He heard of people going to try and fight off the monsters but never heard of what had happened to the dimwitted ones who thought they would be hero's for jumping into a battle that destined there fate from the beginning. There was no chance any one had made it out alive, he expected that rumors would go about and trash talk of there own ruler for not being there but what good is a ruler who jumps into things. Well he knew he would have become a dead ruler, but he also wondered who had regretted his existence, there had to be some people who blamed there king for the mishap.

((Not sure who Prae lit on fire, the stailer with me or Lucy? So im just gonna post something short, Im on mobile sorry if it sucks guys))

Jonasu Ahn (Arc) Zixin, Nevenarius Ruins, about to leave

Jonasu stays silent as he observes the scene, he had been able to defeat the Stailer chasing him, jumping from roof to roof until he landed a hit. He didn't have time to thank the elf woman who helped him. Or at least the strange animal who did. He looked at her and the guards that seemed to follow her. She had a sad frown glued on her face as she ordered them to pick up the other's bodies, he turned his attention to a man who was on his knees, one of the lone survivors. He seemed upset, depressed almost which made Jonasu slightly dissapointed.

"People seem to dwell so much on death..maybe you saved no one but you saved yourself, next time you'll be able to save others." He said to himself

He patted the horse he was leaving on. He had wrapped the cut he got during the fight, it stung but it didn't matter. He looked up to the sky and let the rain fall on his face.

"The Gods have truly forsaken us." he said

He lowered his head as he looked at the Elf Woman who hadn't done much in battle talk to the depressed man. He looked at the stailer's decaying body, a large crack on the side, those things were hard to take down... Took him a while to kill this one, the other one seemed to have dissapeared. He climbed unto his horse and rode off from the depressing scene....

As a few hours passed and he close in to Central Bran he stopped at a rode and looked at a poster...he had a shocked look. He had grown fond of dwarfs and considered them strong allies and friends. He changed course. To the Cantilla Mountains.

(Also, she didn't light anything on fire. The flames are just from the destruction of Nevenarius.)

The sand swirled in many directs as coordinated to wind direction. It was rather unique, and filled in time on the long walk. Nothing was more amazing than life as all Salisonian's know it. Without a doubt, she was nearing 75% completion on her journey to Bran. It was a nice place to be at; Plenty of goods and trades, and may be the place where she will find her village's attackers. It wasn't long before Xer'Chi realized that she didn't have a direct goal. She was a nomad, and no one likes to take in strangers.

I am no longer allowed in the Kin.

This Kin of my people.

"Jacha xyo He sunirvitar tachrkar chuorgeka?" (Why do I create these poems?) She asked herself aloud, afraid of potential insanity and a sudden change in personality that'd affect the rest of her life. Mother said she spoke as if she was a poet or she worked in a scriptorium. Speaking of mothers, Xer'Chi doesn't know if her mother, Suma'Rei survived and got away. She may be older, an elder perhaps; But the thought of her survival created a sudden jolt of excitement burst through every muscle in her body, making her want to run towards Bran the rest of the way.

"Noni aoaur, chuvichuvi..." (For you, papa...)

Good Arenam thought to himself, this would definitely help Arenam with his lack of money problem the only other problem was that he would have to trek through the mountains which he knew nothing about, Arenam didn't want to do this but he might need others help to navigate through the mountains to get to the labyrinth within. Arenam sighed "I may need help doing this, would you be willing to help me?"

This was embarrassing for Arenam he never liked asking for others help because he felt like he never needed it but he was desperate and needed the money badly.

"I'd love to. Been thinking about going anyway, might as well do it with another person." Elvsyr had a small smirk on her face, though a friendly one. Looking over the flyer once more, she turned back to the man. "When do you plan to leave? I'm fine with tonight, tomorrow, whenever." She had started to get a little tired but instantly 'woke-up' with excitement. And to think I was only sitting in Elvsyr earlier this day doing nothing. I probably wouldn't have gone to help, either.

((Only thing I hate sometimes is that there isn't much to say in situations like this without doing random crap like describing the character flicking their hair... .=.))

The Cantillia Mountains...Of course..having a guy my size stuck underground? Perfect. Just Perfect.'

The halfling ranger was not accustomed to dooming his missions beforehand, usually keeping a more...neutral demeanor. It helped him with deciding what to do, where to go, etc. Having a neutral look on the objective made it easier to remained detached from the more personal endeavors.

Hope was just as deadly as fear to him. Right now, the only thing that perked him up was the money he would get for completing such a task. If he lived long enough to receive such a payday.

His mare trailing beside him, Zathriel prepared his gear to travel into the depths of the mountain. On his person, he threw a sixty arrow quiver onto his back, tightening his strap to make sure it was snug against his chest. Stringing his long recurved bow, made of mahogany oak and pine, he made sure it rested between his left shoulder. Stuffing a few throwing daggers into slots on his belt, along with tying a water flask to his left hip, he untied the stark white quarterstaff from his mare's saddle. He planted the tip into the soft earth, leaning against it as he halted his mare with a click of his tongue.

Before him the entrance into the Cantillia Mountains loomed over him, casting a dark shadow against the ground that made him think twice about the whole endeavor. He was a tracker, of course, being a Ranger, and finding pathways go hand in hand with tracking. But..he was not a cave dweller. Obviously, given his six foot four frame with broad shoulders. Not exactly the best body type to go spelunking, but the halfling was adaptable, and he wasn't going to let a bit of 'earth' stop him.

The mare, Elise, sent her master a small look, huffing out a breath and nudging her head against his shoulder. Catching her master's hesitance to enter the cave

“Yeah, I know.” He said meekly, patting her nose with an open hand. “I know..” He echoed, rubbing thoughtfully against her onyx fur. Feeling the hair beneath his gloved fingers, Zath send his mare a meek smile, sighing under his breath.

“Might as well get this over with.” He muttered, clicking his tongue. He urged the mare to stay behind, leaving most of his rations with the horse. She was smart, trotting off into the bushes and trees, melting away from sight. She would only come to his call.

'Day 1'

@paipai900

Zathriel realized he wasn't the only one in the caverns. Not like it wasn't subtle, since the bounty was so high for mapping the fallen hallways of the Mountains. The halfling laid his staff against his shoulder, pulling a piece of parchment out of one of the crooks of his belt, along with a thin piece of white chalk and writing utensil (What would be something of that time? Not a quill, since he has no ink. -_- Derping majorly here.)

He marked on the thick parchment the entrance, observing with steel-blue orbs of the craggy rocks around him. Using his chalk, he slid over to one of the sides of the entrances and marked a thin, large 'E' into the stone.

Stepping away, he folded the parchment and returned it to his home, scanning the only person who seemed to be in the labyrinth with him. Grasping against his staff, he noted her appearance quickly. Dark hair, matching eyes, some of her hair in a braid. She was pretty, but that wasn't his concern. Right now, he only observed how she held herself, and how she walked. Subtle details that wouldn't make much sense to anyone but him.

He averted his gaze, finding all he needed from her visage and quietly strode on by. Though he kept his attention on the path in front of him, the halfling kept his ears open and his eyes darting back and forth between each wall.

((And..cue the interaction, @TheInfamousHavoc xD ))

|Big Event: The Labyrinth of Cantillia Mountains|

Part One

@Rifleman @Flabbysaurus @MrLlama

The mountains shook once more, releasing the loose rubble that came from its side only for the boulders to tumble down and crash at the bottom. It was dangerous to even be around the perimeter of the mountains, for you could be crushed by the falling earth and ice. But, it was even worse on the inside. The people of Gaiurbis would constantly feel a never ending shaking, the farther you went from the eastern side of the mountains, the fainter the shaking got.

It was tolerable on the western region, but the dwarves that were taking care of the other side had frequent motion sickness and headaches, but only if they were there for a long time. The shaking on the eastern region was like being on a boat, but a lot more rough. It was somewhat tolerable, but not many dared to go deeper into the labyrinth to find out where the shaking was coming from.

"Where are the new recruits?" One of the dwarves asked, his voice faint but still showed obvious irritation. It was like as if they were in a massive construction area, the drilling shaking the ground. They were all pale, slightly green from the motion sickness. The vomit had been cleaned up, but if you focused hard enough, you could pull out the scent of stomach acid and fried pigeons.

Another one of the dwarves came trudging in, a parchment rolled up in her hands. "I've got the message from the capitol," Holding up the rolled up parchment, the dwarf was careful not to crinkle it as it seemed to have already been bashed by the weather. E-Mail, also known as Eagle Mail, did not offer the most package protection after all. "They should be here soon." Handing the paper to what seemed to be the captain, the dwarf quickly hurried away to release her stomach contents.

@Mooalally @TheInfamousHavoc @EuRo

((Since you are all already in the mountains, I will prove to you that this really is a labyrinth. You're back in the beginning. Oh, and EuRo, Elise will not be entering the mountains, because she would 1) not hear your call 2) due to the way this event is played out 3) get lost. So, please refrain from calling her. Thank you.))

You seemed to be walking for hours, the lanterns that were hung up in the beginning of the tunnels had soon began to disparate as you ventured deeper into the heart of the mountains. It was utter darkness, you don't know where you are walking anymore. Even if dwarves tended to have better night vision due to the fact that they grew up in the dim lighting of Cantillia Mountains, it was still quite difficult to see.

A light. You spot a light in the distance, straight in front of you! It was dim, but you were sure it was light. Rushing towards it, you picked up the pace and continued in the direction of the light. Had you figured out the labyrinth already? Of course not.

You emerge from the labyrinth, greeted with the stares of the dwarves that were around you. You had found your way back to the beginning. It seemed that the mountains had tricked you. Or had your fooled yourself? Either way, you're back at step one.

Mordaedel lifted her head subtly and glanced back through the window. The evening lie under its deceitful mask of peacefulness, with civilians strolling abroad as a new phase of day took place. She erased what she could of the dew on that side of the glass with her sleeve, then leaned forward, hunched underneath her cloak. Standing abruptly, she slammed her hands down on the table, looking much like an escaped convict with her startled expression and the cuffs around her wrists clanking forebodingly, and her cup clattered on its side, spilling ale over the chair and floor.

Flipping the table over with cautioned force, she swiftly edged around the walls of the tavern after the noise and commotion that followed, snatching a cloak that hung near the door and replacing it with her own. Slipping into the seat next to the Elven woman she had seen earlier, she ducked behind her, her head held low.

"Move and I'll have your head," Mordaedel hissed, sliding the cold edge of a blade behind Elvsyr's neck as two armed men burst through the door.

Elvsyr waited for the man's answer before she felt the cold edge of a blade (damn you Mord for saying that and leaving me to has to copy!) on the back of her neck. She almost instinctively went for her scythe before stopping herself. Putting her arms on the wooden table in front of her, Elvsyr clasped her hands together.

"So, are you a convict? Here to murder me? What...?" She asked. "I'm not worth much, anyway. Nothing on me but that scythe and no real big amount of gold saved up."

"Aye, I see the exit!"

"Then hurry up, let's go!"

They rushed into the sunlight, eager to find the cause of the tremors or at least some treasure (they haven't read the poster, so they don't know about the reward). They were disappointed when they found their eyes blinded by the sun after being in some damp tunnels for so long. But then, after their pupils dilated, and they adjusted (Dwarven eyes were meant for underground usage for most of the time), they found themselves looking at a small human girl. At least, she looked like a human until, by chance, the sunlight that had blinded them moments earlier gave them a vital piece of information now: she had wings. And wings, as Njáll remembered, were usually on the backs on fairies. And then near her was a pair of legs. And then, as their gaze went up and up, they saw different features about him. A dull green cloak on his back, which they were facing, and a large chest, making the appearance of a human. But he was VERY tall, especially for such a small Dwarf.

The two Dwarves and their Kahao walked forward into the sight of the odd couple, and Njáll cleared his throat politely as to get their attention before speaking, "Hello. My name is Njáll Adamu Tybalt Niklasson. I am a native Dwarf, and this is my companion Naomhán Máel Coluim Lister. He is a friend of mine, and also a Dwarf born in these mountains. May I ask what your presence here is needed for?" The big bull standing behind Njáll huffed a few times in disappointment, and then introduced himself, "Before you answer, my name is Alexej. I am a Kahao. These two will pay me when I'm done here."

The halfings eyes tried to adjust quickly to the dark, but to no avail. Nearly bumping into every crevice and rock, Zath found himself looking straight at a small light, a smirk over his lips. The halfling quickened his pace, coming out with a small breath of fresh air. With a quick glance, he noticed he was back where he came in. He had a bit of surprise in his face, but he wasn't totally surprised. It was a labyrinth for a reason, and having only just started. He looked to the entrance of the cave, finding his 'E' marked in chalk at the left. Tapping against the oak of his staff with a gloved finger, the halfling absentmindedly ignored his surroundings, lost in thought.

Taking another note on the parchment map, his ears perked up at someone behind him. Instinct kicking in, he shoved his parchment into his belt and spun on his heels quickly, staff behind his back while his body crouched, the white oak laying against his forearm. A more defensive position that relied on agility to dodge incoming strikes.

Though he did not need to protect himself. His blue orbs watching from under the cowl of his hood, he observed the two dwarves and Kahao make their acquaintance with him and the girl he noticed earlier.

Standing up slowly, Zath planted the end of his staff into the dirt, scanning the people before him. He nodded at each of their introduction, looking at the first dwarf that introduced himself first.

“My job, sir..Njall.” He said, rather cold. “Same as everyone else, mapping these tunnels.” He said bluntly, as if he didn't want to talk further on the subject. "Are you not doing the same?"

Arzur sighed, wiping the sweat off his brow. His black robes billowed around him in the light breeze. A solid thud radiated from the bottom of his black staff as it hit the rocks covering the ground below. He was about an hour, maybe even less, to the Cantillia Mountains. The reason he was traveling there was to talk to an old friend and share some info on certain tests that his friend had performed.

Arzur grabbed the silver ring attached to a series of metal pieces making his shoulder-plates. He put his thick index finger through it's hole and smiled. It was a gift from Elvsyr, one she had given him long ago. Elvsyr was his old pupil, one he taught in the way of fighting. He taught her for many years and they became best-friends over the course of those years. He had left Ellegarde due to personal fears between the two and thus their contact had ended. Three years passed since he last saw her, and he was wanting to find her again. After visiting the Cantillia Mountains, he was going to go back to Ellegarde and visit her. The mountains had grown larger and were soon way above Arzur.

Finally arriving, he looked around. It seemed a little chaotic, with a lot of hustling around. Many dwarves were going off in different directions. Some of the dwarfs, which were obviously guards, seemed to be frantic. He walking up to one and asked what was going on.

"Damned shaking keeps knocking off boulders and ice, causing more than enough panic out here. We're offering a large reward of 100, 000, 000 G to any who assist us in solving the maze of the labyrinth and helping clear it out. "

"... What do you mean labyrinth?" Arzur asked, puzzled, his brows furled up.

"A tremor caused many of the tunnels to collapse, forming new ones."

Arzur did a simple nod. "I'll help, though not for the money." He was set up with the supplies needed for the labyrinth and waited outside, not sure if he wanted to enter just yet.

Sanz slowly made his way up to the second floor of the inn. His ears made register of every creak that emanated from the steps as he ascended them. One could never be certain when the need to avoid being heard would be needed . . . or to notice another attempting to do so. The accommodations he had been given were modest, but plenty serviceable. His ears twitched as he set down the massive blade that had been strapped to his back. Something, or someone, had slammed into the door downstairs. He knelt down to the floor, and closed his eyes to let his other senses try to make sense of what was going on. He would not ignore the sudden incident, ignorance was laziness. And laziness would lead to his death.

Dull thuds on the wooden floor . . . Heavy footsteps

Metal against metal . . . Likely armor

If he had to guess, whomever was responsible for the noise was looking for someone. But who? He kept his senses trained on the area below him, refusing to give in to ignorance.

‘Plenty to talk about indeed.’ Kaolin thought dryly.

They had been walking for quite a while, everyone falling into the formation the ‘leader’ had dictated wordlessly, and it had remained that way. Though she had wanted to say something she saw little point. The man now held rank above her. For now. And that meant that she’d have to keep quiet about her irritation about being treated like an invalid at the center.

But I do have Keyin with me.

Her eyes flicked to the pup trailing besides her. Yes, she was happy that her sibling was not too far from her it meant that if there was a danger she could worry about her sister first and then attend to the man’s protection if need be. A thousand scenarios filtered through her head and she caustically but she could hardly focus on them. The kahao with the herbivore spirit was behind her. She abhorred having her back to a potential threat. And though her feline spirit dictated that an antelope foe would hardly be a challenge she knew that looks could be deceiving and the fact that she knew little to nothing about said foe only added variables. Her eyes narrowed, a low hiss rippling from her chest as her tail twisted agitatedly to and fro beneath her cloak. It would be a wonder if the hair at the back of her neck wasn’t permanently by the time they reached wherever the man was leading them.

Keyin glanced at her sister and then hurriedly away again. She knew that though her sister wasn’t truly angry at her there was a large portion of annoyance pointed her way and it was best not to draw attention to herself. A small frown formed on her face and she gave her foot an extra ‘umph’ as it kicked through a small pile of sand. She hadn’t intended to end up in a situation like this. It was just something that happened and to be honest she was excited about it.

A new place.

New people.

A mysterious horse creature to attempt to get close to.

Her eyes glittered. It was an adventure!

‘But… Kaolin doesn’t see it that way.’ Her shoulders slumped and she kicked another bit of sand as

her depression and anger grew in equal parts. She knew that it was her fault for this to have happened but she also knew that it was a good things. A new place with protection and supplied food while they searched was good. The more ground they covered the more information they were liable to find on Her.

Trying to be sneaky, Keyin darted a look back at the woman behind them. She knew magic. Just like Her. She wasn’t sure whether to be happy or suspicious about that. Sure, she was practically bursting at the seams to ask her the how’s and whys of her practice (she’d always been fascinated by that sort of thing) but also she held a bit of bitterness towards magic-users in general.

After all She was a magic user and look how that turned out.

~ssssssssss Gaia, I have recccently dissscoverd ssssssomething that may interessssst you.~" Gaia's ears twitched making them perk up. The old man inching further before Gaia had gotten in to a stance that was taught to her by her elders. The form of a snake that is threatened by an unknown source would lower there back and raise there head. They would be crouched but there strong leg would be in front while the weakest would be placed in the back. Her body would recline backwards and she would resume in a wave like motion, slowly rocking back and forward. The man was a tad bit startled by this as her eyes lowered and she slid out her tongue, shaking it. Her sharp four front teeth exposing themselves , telling him, that his neck was only inches away from getting snapped. With this the old man retreated, trying to make light conversation with an elder woman who carried nothing but roses and roaches.

Gaia had gotten up when he was out of sight. "What is it." She looked up toward the sky, sniffing the air. She had to roll her eyes as she began a slight jog back to where she had came. ~sssssssss there issssss ssssome newsssss about a Labyrinth of Cantillia Mountainsssssss. It issssss ssssaid that there are richessssss hidden within thissssss place. ~" Gaia had ran in to the forest. A moment of bliss ran through her body when her feet touched the soil. Her eyes had rolled back and her arms hugged herself. A slight moan came over her as threw her head back, then falling to her knees. ~ssssss a little dramatic don't you think.~" "I agree with the snake, a little over done ....you could do better. Arch your back more and act as if your shuddering." "~sssssss don't encourage her~" Gaia had looked over after recovering from her slight scene. "You.....Harp how did you ...why are you here. I did not call for you, your body...how many, did anyone see you?" The snake hissed, sliding out it's tongue before he shook his head no. Gaia glared at him before pointing toward his nose and in between his eyes. " Look here mister, you do realize you are the biggest snake in the world. Your body is wide , some would say massive. You leave a trial, braking things...killing animals. If anyone would have seen you." The snake snapped, his jaws opening wide before he closed them.

"s husssssh girl, I am fine. no one sssssaw me and even if they did they are to ssssscared to do anything. I would have devoured them if I had ssssssense them.~ Gaia had crossed her arms, her gaze turning toward Nodo who was still lying down. "Get up..were going to the mountains. " Nodo looked up with a curious look before changing his gaze toward the snake. "" one why, two is this one coming along and three, why...?" Gaia growled before flicking her hair away. "Why , because it interest me ...two he may if he wishes but he must hide himself from others eyes and two because like number one it interest me."[/i] Nodo stood to his feet and glared. Gaia crossed her arms and took a step forward. Her head held high. Nodo bowed his head along with the snake. " Do not forget that day, both of you. I promised you to take you from your home, protect you...I would show you the world through my eyes. You are bound to me, soul by soul...you feel what I feel as I feel what you feel. This interest you to Nodo you can not lie. Gaia said as she climbed on Nodo's back. "Come, we have searching to do." Nodo smiled as he turned from the opening to the market and headed upward toward the mountains.

Arenam was about tell Elvsyr that he would leave now if she wanted to however he was cut off as a women charged from her seat to Elvsyr and held a knife to the back of her neck. Arenam had no idea what was going on or what to do, the person who was going to help him was being held hostage! Arenam took a deep breath after thinking through the situation. Okay if I pull her away from the knife and hit the women with this bottle then we should be okay.

Arenam quickly grabbed Elvsyr's shirt and yanked her across the table with one hand and pulled her as far away as possible for the psychopath behind her, he then swung at Mordaedel with the glass bottle in his other hand towards her head.
