Taking Flight [Inactive]

"Well this guy just threw something ln the rocks and flee.. I don't know why. He's pretty clumsy", he said with a pout. "Easy catch."

Ali crouched down to inspect his wrists where he most likely kept his weapons, kinda obvious with the metal.

As Ali heard Logan call him an easy catch she laughed and whispered in his ear, "He isn't an animal, Logan," and then stood.

"So should we leave him? I don't really see a point in taking him," Ali shrugged, brushing off the whole whispering thing like it never happened.

Ali rolled her eyes and turned to the direction of the cave.

"I left the Hum- Maeve, Maeve. I left Maeve back there alone. You choose what you want to do with him," Ali said, ignoring Logan and took off.

Ali flew back to the cave regretting how coldly she pushed Logan away.

Why did you do that to him? You led him on by whispering to him!! Ali growled and landed on a nearby branch and let her legs swing side to side over the edge.

"Damned hormones. You either pick one or the other. And I'm going for it," Ali nodded and sat for a few more seconds before making her way back to the cave again. She realised she may have said the last few sentences out loud but its not like anyone was around to hear her.

"I think I like Logan, I think I do," Ali said to herself as she flew back to the cave to find a sleeping Maeve. She sat beside the sleeping Human and started talking to herself about the Angel she thinks she likes.

She rambled on for a while as she waited for Logan to come back.

Logan checked his pulse, in case he wasn't sitting on a corpse! Taking a sip from his bottle, he waited quietly.

"Damn it, damn it all," Ali growled and flew off back to where she found Logan and the Angel. She needed to find his name out later.

"Logan! Are you seriously gong to sit here all day?" She called out as she sat in a branch directly above Logan. Thank god I'm wearing pants, pants are good, she thought.

Ali jumped down and landed in a crouch beside Logan, wings flared open to balance herself.

"Curious of what?" Ali asked, her head cocked to the side.

Ali stepped up towards Logan and put a hand on his cheek and pressed her forehead against his. "Come on, Logan. He was probably trying to take our food, that's all," Ali smiled softly then stood and dusted herself off.

Logan rolled his eyes a bit and waved a bit hand. "Well okay, he's an angel anyway", he said as he got up.

Ali giggled then covered her mouth with her hands. You did not just giggle, no you didn't, Ali told herself in her head. She hasn't giggled in ages, and by ages we mean ages.

"Uh, let's go then," Ali mumbled and slowly flapped her wings.

The giggle made Logan frown. Had he done something stupid? He didn't mind to get offended or even ask about it. Spreading his wings, he took off. "To cave, isn't it?"

Ali nodded, afraid that if she spoke she'd make it that much worse. She looked over at Logan and as soon as he looked her way she winked and took off.

Ali laughed as she wove through trees and flew past heaps of birds. She could've passed an Angel and she wouldn't even know.

They got to the cave in a matter of minutes and Ali slumped back against the cave wall.

"Its not my cave. Its Deirk's cave. We're just borrowing it," Ali told Logan as she landed next to him. Ali found Logan's hand and squeezed before walking over to sit next to Maeve.

"Ah, I see. Say to him about that if you see him", he said, raising his brows as he felt the squeeze. What was that for? She was such a mysterious creature. It made her even more attractive to Logan's eyes.

"Next time we see Deirk he's going to be dead," Ali said happily as she checked Maeve's wound. Gladly it hasn't torn back open again but they'll need to do something about that infection when Kio comes back (or wakes up).

Kio awoke at the right time to hear Maeve's name. After Ali had left Kio got up and redressed Maeve's wound. "So, you got any family?" Kio asked Maeve. "Boyfriend, husband, brothers, sisters?"
