Taking Flight [Inactive]

Tek was pretty angry now. The deer he had been stalking had been killed by two other angels, robbing him of his meal.

He decided to follow them, see who they were. He thought he recognised one of them from the pack, but he wasn't sure.

Logan flew off back to cave. "Oh. Morning Kio. I owe you some food. Fancy a fresh deer blood? It's still warm", he offered and gave him a bottle.

"Do you feel like we're being watched?" Ali asked Logan who was beside her.

Ali's skin crawled at the thought of some other Human watching them, she didn't need a repeat of the blood bath that had happened hours ago. That's probably just me, we're too high up, haha, but Ali wasn't too sure.

Kio took the bottle and thanked Logan. "Kind of but i don't think its anything. Anyway, Ali, I'm starving, can you please cook us something?" Kio asked nicely, and right at that moment his stomach rumbled.

Perfect timing Kio thought

"Of course, make the lady cook something," Ali huffed, "do we need a repeat of what happened last time? Do I need to bite you again or kick you in the nose or something?" Ali laughed as she picked up the meat and started a fire.

Once everything was set up and the deer was cooking, she joined the other two.

Kio flinched as Ali sat down. "Man you shoulda seen this lady." Kio said to Logan. "She fights like a rabid monkey mixed with a dog who just got his tail trodden on," Kio flinched at the memory.

"You fully deserved it," Ali laughed as she poked Kio's ear. "I could've torn off your finger though," she said and grabbed Kio's thumb, "I could've done a lot worse."

"Lucky Deirk was there to stop you from killing me." Kio said. "Where is Deirk anyway?" Kio wondered looking around the cave.

Maeve stirred as noise began to invade her mind and thieve from her the rest that restored her.

The smell of meat wafted through the air, but it only added to the nausea. She held back a groan as consciousness met her with memory. And pain.

She was freezing, and weak. Recognizing these symptoms as indicative of a fever, she wondered if the wound the angel had given her was infected.

Now fully awake, Maeve kept her eyes closed and her body still, carefully listening to the enemies that surrounded her on all sides.

Logan crawled to the food, taking one chunk. "Thanks Ali", he said wit ha smile, sitting on the entrace. "I'm guarding, just in case.. I've got a bad feeling", he muttered the end, not wanting to worry others. Maybe he trusted too much in his insticts.

There they were. Cooking HIS meal. He was watching in a shadow nearby, working out what to do.

Those deer were getting rare, and he needed food. He decided to try and take it while they were not looking, maybe use his grappling rope to snag himself pieces of meat.

"Boring... I've been watching over her," He points at Maeve, "I really hope shes going to be ok, I really do, and well I have been sitting here starving, I didn't want to go get food in case she woke up so I was sitting here waiting for you guys to turn up, with food hopefully, and you guys did, so thanks a lot."

"You're welcome," Ali said grinning. "Hmm, I wonder if we'll ever see Jack again. I miss my perch," Ali said as she leaned over to grab some meat.

There. They were all looking away distracted. Throw the rope hook, pull fast enough not to scrape on the ground...

CLUNK

The hook hit a rock, alerting those inside.

Run, run, run change form get the HELL out of there...

Quickly staring at the direction, he whacked his arms and flew really quickly towards the voice. "Reveal yourself!", he shouted.

Kio jumped up and drew his katana. He rushed outside to the side of Logan. "What was it?" Kio asked Logan as he looked around.

Ali turned, indifferent about the whole thing. She stood and walked outside calmly and leaned on the edge of the opening to the cave, her arms folded tightly across her chest and wings tucked in.

"Sheesh guys, calm down," Ali huffed.

Maeve heard the angel voice his false concern, and tensed. They knew she was not sleeping, and set up a ploy to gain her trust.

Well, at least now she knew their angle.

She opened her eyes, and moved up to a seated position, pushing her back against the wall, face scrunching up in pain even as she held her hand over the now closed puncture.

They were all distracted by some noise, staring out the cave entrance. That suited Maeve just fine.. She waited, memorizing their wings and bodies.

Ali turned around and looked at the Human, arms still folded. "Oh hey, you're up," Ali said with a smile. She tossed the Human a pouch filled with water. "Sorry, we don't have spare clothes but we'll get some soon."

There was a male angel giving chase to Tek. Simple to solve. As he neared the dorest, he levelled out, and in his human form, sent his grappling hook at him.

This action was interrupted by his smacking headfirst into a tree, as he was not looking where he was going. He was knocked out, although he would thankfully have no real injuries. This allowed his pursuers to come and find him.

Dropping down on the man as he was on the ground, he pressed both of his blades on his troath, catching for breath, he was staring him with his blue eyes, trying to make them aggressive. He couldn't : his eyes were too wide and innocent for such a thing. "Indentify yourself!", he shouted with an aggressive tone.
